Case in point, a couple of love letters a teenaged Tupac Shakur wrote a high school crush are going up for sale. Reports TMZ : The folks over at Moments in Time are selling 2 handwritten letters for a cool $15k. They’re from the rapper to a teen crush when he was a 14-year-old freshman in 1985 at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Baltimore. They’re addressed to Averel, who at the time was the same age. The first letter reveals a shy Tupac introducing himself to Averel. Tupac surfaces in the second one as emboldened … professing his wants and needs, if ya catch our drift. We’re told Averel, who sold the letters to Moments in Time, was not impressed by Tupac’s game. Worth noting, one letter is signed “Passionately, Tupac (New York) Shakur.” Yes, he dotted the “i” with a heart.” Check out the love letters right here . The show depicts the couple’s road to newlywed bliss and the rocky road even that has been. In one clip, the two are having a discussion when Michelle brings up the topic of race, which Chad disapproves of. “I said something to him on the lines of ‘Well, Chad, because you are not Black you would not understand why I communicate the way I do. Maybe because you didn’t grow up around a lot of Black people.’ So that was very, very offensive to Chad,” Michelle recalled in the clip. RELATED: Michelle Williams Defends Doing Reality TV RELATED: Michelle Williams Thanks Fans After Seeking Treatment For Depression Johnson was so offended by the notion that he alluded to Michelle’s battles with mental health just to spite her. “And this is not to justify it, but yesterday when we had the disagreement, he said ‘Did you take your meds today?’” Michelle told the counselor. Johnson apologized for the remark and said that he lost his temper but that the remark had everything to do with he and Michelle’s racial differences. But is it a red flag for their marriage? T he late rapper Tupac Shakur ’s impact and influence spanned far beyond the music industry. Shakur was known for using his platform to bring attention to issues faced by the Black community. 22 years after his tragic death, Temple University is paying homage to the rapper by adding some of his belongings to their Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection, USA Today reported. A collection of items belonging to the late Tupac Shakur—including jewelry and several handwritten documents—are now part of the @BlocksonTU Collection. https://t.co/XrIVyf1g8G — Temple University (@TempleUniv) November 1, 2018 The collection—which is known for being one of the most extensive collections of items that captures the essence of the Black experience in America and beyond—has nearly 500,000 items, the news outlet writes. Amongst Tupac’s items that will be added include handwritten lyrics from some of his most popular songs, handwritten track listings and his jewelry. All the items were donated by Goldin Auctions of Runnemede. The Philadelphia-based university offers a course that explores the legacy of Shakur. “He’s a hip-hop icon,” Diane Turner , a curator of the Blockson collection said in a statement, according to the Journal of Blacks in Higher Education . “This is a significant, contemporary addition to our already impressive collection of music items, ranging from African instruments to material from John Coltrane, Grover Washington Jr. and Natalie Hinderas. We are thrilled.” News about the donation comes shortly after the 22nd anniversary of his first posthumous album Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory . Ford Takes Over NCCU’s Homecoming Ford closed out its next-level F-150 Truck Tour at North Carolina Central University’s Homecoming in Durham, NC with a campus-rocking performance by rising superstar A-Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, fun-filled spin wheel and hula hoop challenges and a “Drive 4 Ur Community” initiative that raised $20 for every test drive to support the Tom Joyner Foundation. Before breezing from hit to hit to chart-topping hit, A-Boogie joined Ford’s Multicultural Communications Manager Dee Guerrero at an exclusive breakfast to honor NCCU student Jordan Thomas who makes a difference by going further on his campus through community service. The nationwide tour allowed attendees to support HBCUs by simply test-driving the latest lineup of F-150 pickups, including the XLT and Lariat. For each test drive, Ford donated up to $6,000 to the Tom Joyner Foundation to support the dreams and goals of HBCU students. This tour was another big and bold reminder of Ford Motor Company’s longtime commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities. (Photos via Getty Images) Black Panther And Tupac Come Together For New Merch Collection Well this is an….interesting combination. 2Pac’s estate and Marvel Comics have come together to launch a new Black Panther collaboration collection, available exclusively via POP by Foot Locker. “The intersection of music and Black Panther is such a vital part of that property, so it is fantastic to co-brand with an influential artist like 2Pac on a new collection of Marvel apparel,” Paul Gitter, SVP of Marvel Licensing, told the people over at Complex . The nine-piece collection just launched on Friday (November 9) and includes everything from hoodies, to tees, to long sleeves emblazoned with iconic imagery from both brands meshed into one. Prices on these items range from $25 for tees to $50 for hoodies. More information about the collection can and each individual item can be found here . Phrases on the clothing include different mashups like “Wakanda Forever…Until the end of time.” The retailer posted a few photos to their Instagram page of the pieces, which you can take a look at below. Debuting at number three on the U.S. Billboard 200, the critically acclaimed album took fans through a rollercoaster of emotions and really let us all in to who SZA is as a young woman…if nothing else, you walked away knowing she loves her late grandmother with everything in her. Songs like “Love Galore” featuring Travis Scott, “Garden,” and “Normal Girl” kept us singing, but everyone who’s anyone knows it was her standout track “The Weekend” that got music lovers hooked on Solàna. The company announced the launch of Amazon Music Unlimited and Prime Music in Mexico. The tech giant made the announcement today (Nov 7) that it will be bringing millions of songs and thousands of locally curated playlists and stations to the country. This latest move follows their national campaign launched back in August to announce their arrival in the streaming world. While Apple might not be as worried, this should send chills to Spotify due to the fact Amazon already has millions of subscribers, and this will only add to that number. Alongside Amazon Music, the company announced Alexa as well it’s popular Echo devices the Dot, Plus, Spot and Smart Plug will be arriving in Mexico as well. They will all come equipped with a new voice, knowledge of the locale, Mexico-oriented Spanish as well as the uber-popular Alexa assistant.
