Quavo Hints At A Migos & Drake Mixtape [Video]

Quavo alluded that a collaborative project might be in the works. As Complex reports the “Stir Fry” rapper quietly dropped a bombshell while making the promotional rounds for his upcoming solo debut album. During a social media themed response segment with  GQ, Huncho was asked on Twitter if the two camps will be working together again. “Quick thought but what if Migos and Drake dropped a collab mixtape after the tour?” To which Quavo responded “You must be a psychic. If that don’t tell you something I don’t know what to tell you.” Drizzy and the trap trio have had a long history together starting in 2013 with the remix to “Versace”; the track that seemingly jump started the group’s career. They followed things up with “Walk It Like I Talk” on  Culture 2 . Most recently the “Aubrey & Three Migos Tour” brought them all together for several sold out shows throughout the country. While no further details are known about the mixtape it is safe to assume that we will have to wait some time before it sees the light of day. On October 12 the Migos front man will release his highly anticipated Quavo Huncho . Additionally the writing is on the wall that Takeoff’s solo LP will follow soon after. You can check the rest of the GQ clip below where he also discusses his high school football career, supplies some very key definitions to Migo’ lingo and confirms their immaculate eating etiquette. The mixtape talk starts at the 25 second mark. Photo: Adriana M. Barraza/WENN.com

QUIZ: Guess These Viral Dances And We’ll Tell You If You’re Young & Lit — Or Old & Out Of Touch

Read this article:

Source: GRIFF TAPPER / Getty As the holiday season rapidly approaches, it’s pretty normal that people start to contemplate the year ahead of them, and the one they’re leaving behind.   For millennials especially, this time of year always sparks the nostalgia of getting ready to head back to school when you were younger or preparing your Halloween costume to go trick or treating with your friends in the neighborhood. But sorry Gen Y’ers —we’re getting old.   Not that it’s a bad thing, but we’re no longer the cool, young kids that big brands market to or the ones on social media kicking off all the latest dance crazes. Now you’re the one on Youtube wondering “how do these kids even come up with this?” Generation Z slowly crept their way into taking over society. Whether it be through they’re unorthodox sound in music and pushing out tons of original content, or using the power of social media to create a brand for themselves before some of them even really knew what it mean to be a brand. According to Vision Critical , “As the first true digital natives, Gen Z basically grew up with YouTube. That has an impact on how they view celebrities and who they consider to be influential. In fact, according to an infographic from Dana Communications, an overwhelming majority (67 percent) of Gen Zers prefer to see real people in ads, whereas only 37 percent of Millennials feel the same.” But don’t go throwing the rest of your 20’s away just yet. There are many perks to aging out of the youngin’ party. You get to tell younger people “You don’t know nothing about this” when a oldie but goodie comes on. And instead of spending money to flex on social media for people you don’t like anyway, you invest it in to something meaningful — like home decor.   One Twitter user tweeted , “Know im getting old man headed to home decor stores comparing prices and sh*t. interior decorating a** n***a.” Another wrote , “I know I’m getting old cause I ordered a chair on amazon and im geekin for it to get here next week!!!!!!…..It’s a f**kin chair.” Becoming an adult happens so quickly that you don’t usually realized you’re aging out of the young crowd until there’s a new hot trend that you either have no clue about, no clue how to do or no interest in learning. Like the new dance crazes for example. All the little dances these kids do now I can’t keep up! I told my daughter to floss (her teeth) and she said “ok Mommy” and started to floss (the dance) — Shannon Toon (@Gumibear3113) September 1, 2018 So are you aging out of young and cool, or are you still keeping up with kids? The Voice Recap: Who Made It to the Battle Rounds?

The Blind Auditions reached their sixth night on Tuesday.  Yes, it felt like groundhog day, but at least there were some decent acts, we guess.  With the Battles creeping up, most of the below competitors will probably not survive them.  Caeland Garner (Team Blake) – “Dancing in the Moonlight” Remember Red Marlow? Well, his friend, Caeland appeared at the Blind Auditions, and immediately struck a chord with the coaches.  The 31-year-old went with a Toploader cover, and it got Blake happy enough to take him as one his own competitors.  “Your voice is so unique,” the coach said. “I’m mesmerized by your sound.” Lela (Team Jennifer) – “Havana” This 15-year-old Miami native was open about wanting to harness the sounds of both Shakira and Beyonce. While we’re not sure she sounded anything like either of those famous artists, there was something there to like.  However, there’s no telling whether she will survive the Battle Rounds, or if she will be able to adapt quickly. Cody Ray Raymond (Team Kelly) – “Born Under a Bad Sign” Cody turned in a surprising audition. He seemed like he had a distinct sound before he even started singing, but he switched it up with an extraordinary rendition of this hit song.  Kelly heard the voice and immediately turned her chair because there was something to work with here. He had charisma, the vocals, and a great stage presence.   Abby Cates (Team Kelly) – “Scars to Your Beautiful” On paper, Abby seemed like she would be a great performer, but her voice burned out by the second verse of her number, and that’s a bad sign.  If that’s the shape of things to come for this youngster, then there’s little chance she will make it very far. Funsho (Team Adam) – “Finesse” It’s always difficult to chase the dream, but Funsho quit his job to carve out a career in music in L.A., and he’s been struggling ever since.  The good thing was that his voice was robust, and could probably move some mountains. The song choice will be critical from here on out for this one.  What are your thoughts on the latest acts? Hit the comments below.  The Voice continues Monday on NBC. OKURRR! Cardi Covers ‘W Magazine’ And Talks Reaching Her Breaking Point With Nicki Minaj

Robert Kamau/GC Images/Getty/ Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Billboard Cardi B Covers W Magazine Cover girl Cardi is covering W Magazine’s Art Issue and speaking on her whirlwind year. After releasing “Bodak Yellow” in June 2017, Cardi shot up the music charts, married Offset, conceived a child, revealed a pregnancy, released an album and gave birth. Now according to W, in between mothering baby Kulture at her grandparent’s house where they interviewed her, she’s speaking out on that Nicki Minaj fight. The 25-year-old told W that she’s c ertain Onika liked and unliked a tweet questioning her mothering skills even though she’s denied doing so. Furthermore, for all the people claiming that the Fashion Week party wasn’t the proper place to confront Nicki, Cardi says she’ll never catch her in a more meager setting like your local grocery store. “For a while now she’s been taking a lot of shots at me. I spoke to her twice before, and we came to an understanding,” said Cardi. But she kept it going.” I was going to make millions off my Bruno Mars tour, and I sacrificed that to stay with my daughter. I love my daughter. I’m a good-ass f*cking mom. So for somebody that don’t have a child to like that comment? So many people want to say that party wasn’t the time or the place, but I’m not going to catch another artist in the grocery store or down the block.” She has a point, where else would she catch Nicki without the glare of the public eye? They don’t run in the same circles. Mind you, they’ll be in the same room for the first time since their showdown at tonight’s American Music Awards. Round 2, anyone? She also spoke on Offset an expressed her disappointment with alwaaaaays hearing cheating rumors about her Migos man. “Every single day there’s rumors about me and my dude,” said Cardi. “And it almost drives me crazy, because I start to believe them. I don’t have no proof. I don’t have receipts. But I just got to know my man. We practically on the phone 24 hours a day. If I can’t find him, I’m going to find his friend. Somebody going to answer the phone. But I cannot be feeling insecure, to a point that I would drive my dude away, because these people want that to happen.”   For her cover shoot photographed by Mickalene Thomas, she channeled old-school Latina glamour queens including Maria Montez, Chelo Alonso, and Rita Moreno. Que Bonita.   See more W Magazine Cardi on the flip.
