Source: Supplied by WENN.com / WENN Pete Davidson has had enough. The Saturday Night Live comedian read Kanye West the riot act about last week’s off the cuff, ill-informed post-show pro-Trump speech by the rapper. In a serious but acerbically comical tone, Ariana Grande’s boyfriend tore Yeezy a new one while on the “Weekend Update” segment of Saturday’s (Oct. 6) episode. Davidson refuted Yeezy’s claim that he was bullied about wearing the MAGA hat, explained why he shouldn’t wear the hat, detailed why he shouldn’t speak about politics, urged him to actually take his medication and more. But perhaps the most poignant comment was when Davidson said, “Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass, okay?” Where is the lie? Watch the segment below. Hopefully, someone passes the message on to Kanye West since he is now off social media , again. Pete dropped by the Weekend Update desk to talk about last week’s musical guest, Kanye West. #SNL pic.twitter.com/LFzJJFTnbV — Saturday Night Live – SNL (@nbcsnl) October 7, 2018

C hicago-bred music artist Chance the Rapper has continually lent his voice and resources in an effort to overcome some of the most pressing issues that the Black community is faced with today. The latest cause that the “No Problem” rapper is supporting is the fight for adequate mental health care in his hometown, WSBT22 reported. Chance the Rapper giving one million dollars to boost mental health services https://t.co/6HlKeFBWuV — 13WHAM (@13WHAM) October 5, 2018 Chance—whose real name is Chancelor Bennett—announced that he will be donating $1 million to better the mental health care resources in Chicago, the news outlet writes. He shared the news during a summit that his organization SocialWorks hosted on Thursday. There is often a stigma surrounding mental health amongst African Americans, and Bennet is aiming to change that narrative. As part of his six-figure donation, six mental health care facilities in the Cook County area will receive grants that are worth $100,000. His non-profit—which focuses on educating and empowering the youth through civic engagement and the arts—will also launch a new program dubbed “My State of Mind” that will make mental health treatment more accessible for those battling mental illness. Additionally, Bennett has pledged to donate more money to 20 Chicago Public Schools. Mental health is something that the rapper has personally battled with. In 2017, he publicly spoke about his struggles with anxiety. “Anxiety is now something that I’m just getting exposed to, it’s a big conversation and idea that I’m getting introduced to now,” he said in an interview, according to NME . “For a long time that wasn’t a thing that we talked about, I don’t remember people talking about it… when I was growing up… I’m starting to get a better understanding of that part of my life.” Several celebrities are launching initiatives that are centered on mental health and overall wellness. In August, actress Taraji P. Henson announced that she was launching a non-profit organization that is designed to provide resources for individuals battling with mental illness. SEE ALSO: Taraji P. Image via Hero Images/Getty Raheem Howard Cleared Of Attempted Murder Of Policeman Yuseff Hamadeh Back on August 10, Raheem Howard was charged with the attempted murder of Baton Rouge police officer Yuseff Hamadeh during an arrest pursuit following a traffic stop according to WAFB . Howard attempted to publicly plead his case to the media just prior to being booked for the alleged murder attempt. #UPDATE : Suspected of allegedly shooting at a BRPD officer, 21-year-old Raheem Howard made a dramatic plea of innocence while being taken into custody. He will be charged with attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon. > > https://t.co/Le7iPHG8Ap pic.twitter.com/az0GFVAw1O — WAFB (@WAFB) August 11, 2018 A few weeks later, Baton Rouge Police Chief Murphy Paul announced that the officer Hamadeh did have any of his cameras turned on, not the body camera, not the dashboard camera, and the rear camera was facing down. Thus, no footage of the incident was available. Howard’s lawyer believes this was 100& intentional according to a previous WAFB report. “A deliberate act,” Rep. James said. “His body cam that we’ve been asked to pay for and the citizens of this community have been asked to foot the bill for, was purposely left off. His dash cam, that this community has been asked to pay for, purposely left off. A third camera, which breeds that trust and transparency, turned downward. We’re asking that the Baton Rouge Police Department live up to what they’ve been asked of us.” In September East Baton Rouge Parish District Attorney Hillar Moore announced that there will be no charges because, surprise, there is NO evidence. Finally after a month of sitting in prison for being labeled an attempted cop killer, Raheem Howard was set free from prison on October 2. #BREAKING : Raheem Howard, who was accused of shooting at a BRPD officer before charges were dropped due to a lack of evidence, was released early Tuesday. His mother says the officer who fired at her son should be charged with attempted murder. > > https://t.co/1vioHBnWzF pic.twitter.com/byxR4ow0Wg — WAFB (@WAFB) October 2, 2018 Raheem’s mother now wants Yuseff Hamadeh charged with attempted murder for firing a shot at her son unjustly. At this time, Officer Hamadeh is still employed at the department. That needs to change ASAP.

In April, Mercedes “MJ” Javid and longtime boyfriend Tommy Feight were married after years of ups and downs. Now, this Shahs of Sunset couple has even bigger news. They’re expecting their first child! Us Weekly reports that Shahs of Sunset star Mercedes Javid is pregnant ! She and her husband, Tommy Feight, are expecting their first child together. According to the tabloid’s source, the couple first told Mercedes’ mother. They then told the rest of the cast of Shahs of Sunset on Thursday, October 4 while filming the reunion special. This is amazing news! Mercedes has previously spoken about in-vitro fertilization and the sensibility of freezing one’s eggs. “I really want all women who are single and 35 years old to run to their fertility doctors and get it done,” she suggests. This is, of course, only directed at those who want to have children. “I just think it’s really awful to wait and put it off until you’re over 40,” she confesses. Mercedes says that she feels this way “because you’re just increasing your odds and you’re just making it harder for yourself.” “And don’t worry about the costs,” she says, possibly forgetting that not everyone is rich. Earlier this summer, she had “almost completed the [IVF] progress,” sources said. “it is a lot of hormones that can make us feel crazy,” she admits, referring to the hormone injections one receives prior to getting eggs harvested. “The truth is that I have a lot of ups and downs,” she confesses. “Moment to moment, especially on the hormones from IVF stuff.” “You retain a lot of water,” she cautions those who would heed her advice and walk in her footsteps. “You feel really great one moment and then terrible another moment,” she adds. Yep. Hormones can make a person go a little nuts for a while. “That’s the reason why I share because,” Mercedes begins. She says: “In my Instagram Stories for instance, I’ll say, ‘I don’t feel good today, but I want everyone else to know not to beat themselves up, to be kind to yourself and know that those days happen to everyone.’” “That’s how we connect to people,” Mercedes explains. It always feels good to help others by using your own experiences. “If you’re going through something and you and I share that,” she reasons. “[That’s] how much we just closed the gap between the two of us.” Mercedes Javid and Tommy Feight have had, as we mentioned, some ups and downs during the course of their tumultuous relationship. So some may be nervous about these two stars in particular being responsible for a new, tiny, helpless human being. But it is the hope of fans that the fact that they decided to finally tie the knot is a sign that they had worked out previous issues and are a happier, healthier couple. This is amazing news. We’re just sorry that her late father isn’t around to meet this granchild. We can’t wait to watch Shahs of Sunset online and, hopefully, see MJ’s co-stars react to her huge news.
