Though his cause of death has yet to be confirmed, TMZ says an apparent overdose had something to do with it. The rapper has had a notable struggle with substance abuse — as well as other emotional issues — which he often talked about in his lyrics. But despite the dark times in Miller’s life, fellow artists and fans chose to highlight the amazing things about Mac Miller after his passing. Some major figures, including, Chance the Rapper, Q-Tip, Missy and Questlove kept saying how sweet a guy he was… I dont know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. Im completely broken. And this kid, he just loved music.” Rappers like Talib Kweli also explained how Mac really had a love for hip hop and he often spoke up on issues of racism when the time was necessary. Meanwhile, folks on social media immortalized his star status on building walls… Skateboards… And other artistic mediums… To say the rapper will be missed would be an understatement. According to TMZ , his casket is being flown from L.A. (where he died) to Pittsburgh and a Jewish funeral service is expected to happen this week. It’s clear his legacy will live on for years to come.

Source: NurPhoto / Getty Mac Miller ‘s sudden passing last week still remains something of a mystery as an official cause of death has yet to be announced. While speculation over how the young rapper died remains high, it has since come out that Miller was allegedly dead for hours ahead of his body being discovered. TMZ reports : Law enforcement sources tell us … when cops and paramedics arrived at the rapper’s home last Friday, it was clear he had died long before they got there. TMZ broke the story … friends came over the night before Mac died to hang out, and we’re told they stayed until the early hours of Friday morning, Sept. 7. Mac’s body was found Friday around noon. We broke the story … Miller died of an apparent overdose at his San Fernando Valley home. Cops say no one has come forward claiming they saw Mac alive after Thursday night. He was pronounced dead at the scene, after someone at his home called 911, saying Mac wasn’t breathing and was unresponsive. The emergency dispatch call came in as “cardiac arrest,” but apparently that’s because the person who found him may not have realized he was already dead. The outlet adds that while drugs weren’t found, a small amount of white powder was located in the San Fernando Valley home. — Photo: Getty

Here are a few items that may come in handy in the face of an emergency. *First Aid Kit. These little gems can be found at most drug stores. *Water. Pack a few gallons. The CDC recommends storing at least 1 gallon of water per day for each person and each pet. *Food. Look for items that are both filling and have a longer shelf life; granola bars, nuts, crackers, canned meat and vegetables, dried fruit and cereal are all good options. FEMA recommends packing a two weeks supply. *Manual Can Opener. That canned food won’t do you much good if you’re not able to open it. *Cash. If the power is out, your plastic is too. Grab some cash and include some coins — you never know what you may need. *Medicine/Medication. Your health is paramount. Make sure to include treatment for yourself and your loved ones. *Blankets. They are inexpensive and great for retaining body heat. *Clothes. Pack several comfortable options. *Plastic bags. Either plastic retail bags or garbage bags. They will come in handy when disposing of trash, storing items, etc. *Moist Towelettes. When it comes to sanitation they may become your best friend. *Portable Cell Phone Charger. They won’t last forever, but when your cell phone dies you’ll be glad to have one as an option. *Flashlight. Don’t forget the batteries! *Battery Powered Radio. In case the power goes out, this electronic relic will still allow you to know what’s going on in the world. *Personal Items. Keep birth certificates and other important forms, along with small sentimental keepsakes in a safe place.
