Source: A. Aleksandravicius / Getty Joe Van Gogh Coffee, a coffee shop on Duke University’s campus, has become the target of a lot of unwanted attention after they fired two baristas for playing rap music — specifically the music of Young Dolph. The issue began when Duke’s Vice President of Student Affairs, Larry Moneta, complained to the director of Duke dining about hearing rap music playing last week, causing the two baristas to be fired on Monday. Joe Van Gogh Coffee is not owned by Duke but activists are concerned the school has too much control over contractors. Since the controversy, Joe Van Gogh has decided to cut ties with the school and close the location. And when we say controversy, we’re talking about trapped out protests popping up on campus. When worker rights are under attack…. One woman caught her man napping and decided to record herself having some fun with his booty. When she pulled his boxers down and licked his cheek she didn’t stop to make sure he’d washed his ass recently. The look on her face when she realizes she just rubbed her tongue on a grown man’s dusty butt is priceless. She wasn’t ready, and neither were we. Source: Chelsea Lauren / Getty Like clock-work, Azealia Banks ’ interviews and social media posts are making as much noise as her music. After Banks’ comments on The Breakfast Club about Cardi B being “illiterate” went viral, the “212” MC used her @cheapyxo Twitter account (Banks’ OG account was deactivated) to further clairify what she meant. This is an example of how some racially ambiguous Latina women TRULY view black women who call them out on their privilege. They act like they’re better than or above them. It’s clear that Cardi is unaware of how privileged she is. pic.twitter.com/EIbGGPzAhL — Ooh La La Stan (@LuxxxSOClAL) May 12, 2018 Cardi responded to Banks’ Breakfast Club interview with a subliminal tweet and an Instagram comment, typing, “I’m from the hood, I speak how I speak,” and “I don’t want to change my ways because I’m famous, that’s why I just mind my business. This is coming from a woman that bleached her skin, but want to be an advocate.” Saturday, Banks said Cardi’s response proved her original point: “I always speak with intuition. I went to school with a million carbi d’s. I sat in the chair at the Dominican Hair salon and learned a lot of Spanish from listening to the hair dressers make fun of me and my mother’s hair while they assumed I couldn’t understand what they said.” Banks continued: ”So because I point out that you get away with being the typical caricature of a black woman that society says is wrong … and you respond by calling me unattractive and bringing up skin bleaching to basically make fun of me for not being light skinned?” She added: “Carbi is really a bird brain. LOL… She really doesn’t have the vernacular to engage in any discussion about black womens culture, music or hiphop at all lol. She’s really a hood booger wow “ While Banks failed to acknowledge that English was not the first language in Cardi’s home growing up, she made valid points about how saying “I’m from the hood,” should never excuse ignorance. Banks wrote, “I ALSO come from the hood. So does nicki Minaj… Lol the hood is a beautiful place full of loads of creative , smart , and talented people… you’re illiterate because you are lazy, not because you are from the hood.” Azealia emphasized that Cardi is a stereotypical portrayal of Black women in America. “Especially when you are a full on stereotype. You’re illiterate, you’re baby mama 4/5 to man who has women crawling out of the woodworks with kids, videos of your nigga fucking other women… you’re a real life episode of Maury sis….” Banks even called Cardi a weapon against Black women. “And for as far as black womens culture and music has moved in the past two years… the fact that your overall statistic-ness is being merited as success is a clear indication that the suits backing you are using you as a weapon against black womens consciousness and culture.” She explained that Cardi was “ultimately promoting things that send Black Women to jail. It’s no secret that Hip-Hop has been used to entice black youth into activities that send them to jail. no secret that record execs purposely invest heavily in artists that will advertise the prison-industrial-complex.” Read all the tweets below. Source: Dia Dipasupil / Getty We’ve known for a while that Cardi B and Nicki Minaj have been feuding over the past year , but according to a pic of the two talking at the Met Gala on Monday (May 7), it appears the beef may finally be squashed. In a recent interview with Howard Stern , the “Privacy Issues” rapper explained what went down at the fashion event of the year and labeled their feud as a “misunderstanding.” “I never was feuding with anybody; there was a misunderstanding.” She added: “I think she felt a certain type of way about something. I definitely felt a certain type of way about something,” she lamented. “I didn’t wanna ever talk about it in public because I felt like we gonna see each other again and we will talk about it, and it’s always like little issues. The thing is, it’s always little issues, but you know, fans are always gonna make it a big thing.” She then pointed out how important it was for both of them to meet in person and handle their issues, woman to woman. “I spoke to her about it.I spoke to her at the Met Gala about it, and it’s just like, see? It’s just something that had to be talked about because it was an issue.” Now, Cardi wouldn’t go into detail what the issue was specifically about, keeping that information to herself. “I’m not gonna talk about it, but I really feel a certain type of way,” she said. “My feelings was really hurt, and I was just on some, ‘You know what? This is why I just keep to myself. This is why I cannot fuck with nobody.’” The mother-to-be also had some serious words for the media, accusing them of loving to pit successful women of color against each other. “The media, they just so thirsty to put women in hip-hop — not just women in hip-hop, color women — against each other,” she said. “I don’t understand why they do that and why they want to do that. Like, I’ve seen so many Hispanic artists — females — work with each other, and it benefits them so well.” Listen…we’re glad these two queens are no longer fighting! We need them both and there is always enough room for all of us to shine. RELATED NEWS: Cardi B. Source: FRANCOIS GUILLOT / Getty If you haven’t heard of Boston Dynamics (BD) by now, you better wake up and smell the coffee. The company behind some of the most jaw-dropping technology is paving the way for robots, and soon humans will have to decide our place as a, shall I say, less inclined species. Just yesterday BD released a video of their robot Atlas having a nice jog on a lovely spring morning. Oh, and just in case you missed it, Atlas can do backflips too. Can you do a backflip??? Along with all the human-like motor functions robots are gaining, top that with artificial intelligence like Siri and human facial expressions like Sophia the robot, and you basically have your next jogging buddy. Don’t act like Siri isn’t already mastering the art of shade and clapbacks. Soon, robots will become so sophisticated they’ll have their own culture, complete with music and hot new dance trends. Terms like “doing the robot” will be seen as cultural appropriation, and the bots will pump out their own leaders with Patagonia vests and Twitter hashtags. And for all the “bad seeds” in the bunch, an all out war could pop off complete with “Autobots” and transformer cars . But maybe I’m getting a little too ahead of myself. They could just be trying to live their life. Only time will tell. But for whatever’s coming, one thing is for certain… You better be ready.

Source: Gary Miller / Getty This is gonna be dope! Chance the Rapper is set to join the already star-studded cast of DreamWorks’ Trolls 2 , which is the sequel to the 2016 animated film. Sam Rockwell has also been announced as joining the ensemble of the original film’s stars Justin Timberlake , James Corden , and Anna Kendrick , according to reports from Deadline . The original animated film grossed $346.8M worldwide, and not only that, but it also earned Justin Timberlake an Oscar nominated for his track “Can’t Stop The Feeling.” We can probably expect this sequel to be just as successful, and it is set to debut in theaters sometime in the Spring of 2020. In addition to voicing one of the film’s characters, Chance will also be recording brand new songs for the soundtrack. Chris deFaria, president of DreamWorks Animation Film Group said about the additions, “We are thrilled to have these talented artists join the cast of ‘ Trolls 2 .’ This film, like the first, gives our cast an opportunity to show their performance range—integrating comedy, adventure, and emotion with centerpiece musical numbers that resonate with fans across the globe,” according to Variety . He continued on saying, “This second film will be every bit as unique in design, and we can’t wait for audiences to experience the adventurous journey our filmmakers are taking Poppy, Branch, and all of the Trolls on next.” The sequel tells the story of a mysterious threat that puts Trolls across the land in danger. In response to this threat, Poppy, Branch, and their band of friends must go on an epic quest through unfamiliar lands to create harmony among the feuding Trolls and “unite them against certain doom.” This will be an exciting adventure for the rapper, as this is set to be Chance’s first feature-length voice acting role.
