The immediately family of one Modern Family star is about to change quite a bit. According to People Magazine, Julie Bowen and her husband of 13 years are going their separate ways. Bowen and Scott Phillips and got married in 2004 and share three kids together: Oliver, 10; and twins John and Gustav, both of whom are eight. There had been chatter for several months that Bowen and Phillips were on the outs, largely because they had not been seen together in public for quite some time. In fact, the pair were last photographed with their children at a Harlem Globetrotters game in Los Angeles nearly a year ago, in February of 2017. You have to go back farther than that, to September of 2016, to find the last time they walked the red carpet together. That also took place in Los Angeles, at the LGBT Center 47th Anniversary Gala Vanguard Awards in West Hollywood. Phillips – who works as a a real estate investor and software developer – did not attend the Emmy Awards in 2016, despite it being the couple’s 12th wedding anniversary and despite his wife’s sitcom being nominated at the time. Bowen, however, talked to People Magazine about the apparent snub and said there was nothing to read into it. “He’s come every year, he’s been so supportive and this year he was playing in a tennis tournament and I wasn’t nominated as an individual so I said, ‘What do you want to do on our anniversary?’’ she told the publication back then, adding: “I mean it’s such an honor to be nominated and to go, but it’s tough to be a purse holder.” That sounds reasonable. And it’s very possible that Phillips’ lack of attendance was unrelated to any marital strige. Elsewhere, in an interview with Us Weekly, the actress joked about being “too tired” to break up with Scott. “We watch all these people get married and split up and go, ‘Wait, did they get married after us or before us? We outlast all these people,” she remarked. “The answer: We’re too tired to do anything else!” That’s sort of funny… until it becomes clear that it’s actually more revealing than anything else. Bowen, of course has starred as Claire Dunphy on Modern Family since 2009. She has earned two Emmy Awards for the role and many millions of dollars. The Voice has done a lot for Blake Shelton over the past 8 years. It’s how he and Gwen Stefani met. It’s how people who aren’t big Country fans know who he is. It’s probably how he somehow ended up “Sexiest Man Alive.” Despite all of that, Blake is reportedly considering quitting the show that has given him so much — including tens of millions of dollars. Surprisingly, it sounds like producers wouldn’t mind that at all. And it may all come down to Blake Shelton’s behavior when the cameras aren’t rolling. Blake Shelton has been making headlines since he first hooked up with Gwen Stefani a few years ago. Their runaway romance began after Gwen shared her story of being cheated on with her costars — she wanted to tell her fellow judges what was going on in her life before they heard speculation in tabloids. Blake came forward, telling Gwen that he’d just gone through something similar in his own life. The two of them bonded over that. And then, at some point, they boned. (There have even been reports that Blake Shelton is trying to impregnate Gwen Stefani ) So, money and visibility and alleged sexiness aside, it’s safe to say that The Voice has changed Blake Shelton’s life in a really positive way. Radar Online reports that Blake Shelton may walk away from The Voice . “Blake has made tens of millions of dollars on The Voice and he has gotten insane exposure for his music.” It’s true. If you’re not a Country fan, you had probably never heard of him before he went on The Voice , if then. A lot of people never noticed that he existed until he started dating Gwen Stefani. “But the money and fame have changed Blake.” It sounds like he’s turned into a real diva when the cameras aren’t rolling. “He is a cry baby if he doesn’t get his own way and he barks orders at people.” Oh gosh. That sounds like an unpleasant way to behave. That source has more to say, which we’ll get to in a moment. But we should mention that some people’s first reaction will be that “diva behavior” doesn’t really match Blake Shelton’s image. Or rather that it doesn’t really match Country Music’s image. The key word there is image . Successful stars are great at managing their images; it is a key to success. Blake Shelton is a guy who allegedly cheated just as much as Miranda Lambert, but it’s Miranda’s life that was ruined as the Country community sided with him during their split. So it’s probably fair to say that Blake knows how to portray himself one way to the public and another in private. Ultimately, Blake Shelton’s decision on whether or not to depart may rest on the shoulders of Adam Levine, who is also considering quitting. The reason is that Adam’s wife Behati Prinsloo is pregnant with baby #2 , and he may want to spend more time with his family. “If Adam quits, Blake is definitely walking out behind him.” Interesting. We wonder if Blake would feel insecure about remaining behind if Adam leaves. Certainly, we’ve never heard that there’s any love lost between the two. Also interesting is that apparently the show itself wouldn’t mind. But though new judges could breathe new life into The Voice , we have to wonder if the change could risk losing them viewers. And maybe a lot of those people make up The Voice ‘s core demographic of viewers.
Joseline Hernandez might not be happy that Cardi B is on top of the world right now, but the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star knows an opportunity when it comes a-knocking. She has a diss track on Cardi, and she teased the music video on Twitter. And she's getting roasted mercilessly over it. Joseline Hernandez, the self-described “Puerto Rican Princess,” is best known for her role on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta , where she brings boundless drama. A huge source of that drama is that Joseline generally believing that she's better than everyone there. As it turns out, that feeling of superiority doesn't just extend over her costars in Atlanta, but over the entire franchise. Cardi B is best known for, you know, her meteoric rise to fame with one of 2017's hottest singles. But before that, she appeared on Love & Hip Hop: New York . Cardi B and Joseline both worked as strippers before joining the Love & Hip Hop franchise. Now, however, their careers are on very different paths. These days, Cardi B is famous. “Bodak Yellow” is a smash hit. If it weren't for “Despacito,” it might have been the song of 2017. Cardi B landed her contract with Atlantic Records and left her reality career in the dust — for the moment, anyway. Her wedding to Offset may get televised if the money is right. That doesn't mean that things are perfect, what with a woman claiming to be Offset's baby mama so soon into Cardi B's engagement to him. (It doesn't help that Offset is reluctant to take a paternity test , which really raises people's suspicions) Still, Cardi B's star is high and shining bright. “Bodak Yellow” is certified triple-platinum. There's a line in Cardi B's “Bodak Yellow” that goes: “These expensive, these is red bottoms / These is bloody shoes” In Joseline's diss track, “Hate Me Now,” there's a reference to that bloody shoes line: “…drag a Bronx b–ch yea I said it… Fabricated, illustrated, cartoon a– b–ch, bloody, my a–! Who the f–k cosigned this hoe?” Joseline's diss track is getting roasted, however, with Twitter users saying things like: “Joseline just had to be a nice hoe and thinks would have been okay. Evil hoes never prosper.” “This is sad.” “Rapping is NOT for you Auntie.” Joseline Hernandez isn't the first to try to cling to Cardi B's coattails by trying ot bash her publicly. Azealia Banks tried to feud with Cardi B . Remember that? It didn't turn out so well. When you bash someone's musical talent but then you're recorded dancing to her irresistibly good song, it really takes the wind out of your argument. But the point behind bashing someone who is a soaring success isn't to drag them down, but to get yourself noticed. Unfortunately for Joseline Hernandez, the attention that she's drawn to herself has been decidedly negative. See for yourself if the epic dragging that Joseline's received on social media has been well-deserved. I can't claim to be a rap expert, and few of us can neutrally listen to a Cardi B diss track without having an opinion — one way or the other. And Joseline already has a less-than-ideal reputation among those who know her for her role on Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta . Maybe people just hate her. Or maybe, just maybe, her diss track is really that awful.
