Security told him to leave then called the police, who found the caller outside another home in the neighborhood where he was able to explain himself. The East Hampton Star published the following from local police logs: Officers were called to a house on Briar Patch Road on Saturday at about 12:30 a.m. after a stranger told security guards he had been invited to the house, which is owned by Beyoncé and Jay-Z. The man had pushed the talk button on the driveway keypad and said he was looking for someone, whose name was redacted from the report. He left the area, but police found him a few driveways away, using a photograph sent to them by the security guards. The man said a friend had invited him to the house and must have been playing a joke. Police escorted him to the East Hampton train station. “Escorted” to the East Hampton train station sounds like it could have gone either way — nice gesture by the cops OR forcible removal. A Texas sheriff’s deputy — who is known for appearing as a bailiff on a televised courtroom show — has been charged with murder after he allegedly shot his wife twice inside their home. Renard L. Spivey acted as the bailiff on the courtroom show Justice For All with Judge Cristina Perez , which aired from 2012 to 2016. When he wasn’t on TV, he served as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office in Houston . But now, he’s got a whole new reputation going forward. On Monday, the 63-year-old was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail on a murder charge. According to reports from ABC News , authorities responding to a domestic disturbance call encountered Spivey with a gunshot wound to the leg. Even if you didn’t watch Hannah Brown’s Bachelorette season finale , there’s still a good chance that you heard about all the insanity that unfolded. If you didn’t, here’s a very brief rundown of what happened: In short, Jed Wyatt proposed to Hannah Brown , she accepted, and then all hell broke loose. Hannah broke up with her new fiance after learning that Wyatt had a girlfriend waiting at home while he was filming. So Brown figured it all out before she made the colossal mistake of marrying Wyatt and she even got some semblance of a happy ending when her runner-up, Tyler Cameron, agreed to go on a date with her. But what about the woman Jed was cheating on? After all, Haley Stevens came forward to expose Wyatt at great personal risk. If Jed had been a better liar, it’s possible that no one would have believed her, and she might have become a national laughingstock. Instead, she saved Hannah from making a life-changing mistake. Now, Brown has a message for Stevens that’s likely to be music to the ears of irate Bachelorette fans: I’m better than d-bag Jed, and so are you! “I hope that she knows what she’s worth and what she deserves, and learned a lot through her relationship just like I learned a lot through mine,” Hannah tells People magazine in a candid new interview. As for what her own future holds, Hannah described it in the endearingly roundabout fashion she’s become known for: “I do feel like this was in my plan, and even though I sometimes don’t understand why I had to go through some of the pain that I’ve been through the past few months,” she tells People . “I learned a lot, and had to really look at some of my patterns right with my own eyes and make the decision that would be really hard for anybody to end what you thought was going to be forever, but I learned so much about who I am and what I define as love, and love myself and know my worth,” Hannah continues. “it was really, I think, a huge moment for me to be able to step away from that relationship, and know my strength from that, so I think it was all supposed to be in this way.” As for whether or not she would ever try being Bachelorette again (given that her season was kind of a dud), Hannah says she’s done seeking love on camera — for the time being. “That is a little soon for me to even think about,” she tells People. “I want to be a normal—as normal as I can actually be—person and just really continue to process the crazy ride that I was just on, but I will always be thankful for having this opportunity and will love my Bachelor family. But as far as that, I can’t really think about that just yet.” If anyone’s entitled to another go-round, it’s Hannah. Friends would line up outside her dorm room to get their hair done, which is how she made extra money. The international celebrity stylist says she decided to start her own hair line when she got frustrated working on low quality extensions one day. ” “A lot of my clients would come and their hair was bad. Mario Lopez has been forced to issue an apology and backtrack very quickly after controversial comments he made last month went viral just this week. The former Saved By the Bell actor and television host was a guest (for some reason) on The Candace Owens Show in June when the topic turned to how parents react when their kids express confusion over their gender. Why was Mario Lopez asked about this? We have no earthly idea. But his response has generated a significant amount of backlash. During the 40-minute interview, Owens, a conservative commentator, noted that Lopez’s son has “boyish” interests. She went on cite “a weird trend” in which some celebrities, most notably Charlize Theron, are permitting their children to choose their gender identity. ( Editor’s Note : This is not a trend by any definition of that word. Theron has said that she’s letting her adopted son live as a girl because he’s stated that is his preference … and that’s it.) “And this is strange to me,” Owens said to Lopez. “They say, ‘Oh, I looked at my child and my child was swimming in a bathtub and looked up and said, “Mommy, I’m a boy” and that’s weird.” Owens said she doesn’t think kids possess the “mental authority” to express a gender identity different than the one they were assigned at birth, a point with which Lopez basically agreed. “I’m kind of blown away, too,” replied Lopez, who recently left Extra to begin hosting Access Hollywood. He continued: “Look, I’m never one to tell anyone how to parent their kids obviously and I think if you come from a place of love, you really can’t go wrong. “But at the same time, my God, if you’re three years old and you’re saying you’re feeling a certain way or you think you’re a boy or a girl or whatever the case may be, I just think it’s dangerous as a parent to make this determination then, well, okay, then you’re going to a boy or a girl, whatever the case may be … “It’s sort of alarming and my gosh, I just think about the repercussions later on.” That last part is one reason why Lopez is now under fire. The repercussions ? Meaning what, exactly? That this boy or girl may live as a transgender individual. Is that the end of the world, Mario? Lopez, who welcomed his third child with wife Courtney Mazza this month, also Owens that his older kids don’t associate with children who are trans or gender nonbinary: “They don’t kick it with those kids.” YIKES, right? A few hours after these quotes went viral, Lopez offered up a mea culpa. “The comments I made were ignorant and insensitive, and I now have a deeper understanding of how hurtful they were,” he said, concluding as follows; “I have been and always will be an ardent supporter of the LGBTQ community, and I am going to use this opportunity to better educate myself. Moving forward I will be more informed and thoughtful.” According to a 2019 report from The Trevor Project, 1.8 percent of teenage Americans identify as transgender. More than half of transgender males under 18 report attempting suicide, while 29.9 percent of young trans women try to kill themselves. Maybe something to consider the next time celebrities make dumb, ignorant comments on the topic.
Earlier this week, a judge ruled that a Christian rapper’s copyright infringement case against Katy Perry could proceed to the trial stage. The rapper — who goes by the stage name Flame — claims that Perry’s 2013 hit “Dark Horse” is a ripoff of his song “Joyful Noise.” It’s a bit ironic, considering that title must have been used by about 40 bajiliion Christian recording artists before Flame came along, but that’s a conversation for another time. Now, you may be wondering what in the hell (pardon us, evangelical readers) all of this has to do with Jessa Duggar. Well, if you’re a fan of her family’s and you follow her husband on social media, then you might already be familiar with Flame, aka Marcus Grey. Grey is a longtime Duggar associate who was once interviewed by Jessa’s husband, Ben Seewald, on the topic of race relations in America. Ben Seewald on Racial Unrest (There was a time when Ben tried to fashion a career for himself as a media figure who asks the tough questions. The less said about that phase, the better.) “Flame has been doing Christian hip hop for many years now,” Ben told the camera. “I started listening to some of Flame’s music a little over a year ago. I really appreciated the content of his music. We actually became friends.” Ben goes on to explain that his wife later became friends with Flame, and the couple even introduced the rapper to their then-infant son, Spurgeon. “During this visit we want to kind of introduce Flame to life in the country as opposed to life in the city,” Ben said when Grey’s visit to their was captured by TLC cameras. For years now, the Duggars have been outspoken critics of secular pop culture, and they’re especially chagrinned by what they see as overly-sexualized music directed at younger audiences. In other words, they’re probably not very big Katy Perry fans. This, combined with the unusually heated nature of Flame’s court battle against Perry (The singer even offered to perform her song live in front of the judge to make her case.) has led to rumors that Katy and Jessa don’t like each other. However, while it seems very likely that Jessa dislikes Katy, it seems equally likely that Katy has no idea who Jessa is. Besides, both women have so much on their plates these days that new enemies are probably the last thing on their minds. Katy has enough feuds to keep her busy for the next few decades. Meanwhile, Jessa just welcomed her third child . So as entertaining as it would be if these two started taking shots at one another on Twitter, sadly, it’ll probably never happen. There were tears and there were tantrums. There was rampant sexism and rampant sex… in a windmill . There were 30 suitors and then there were three and then, heading into Tuesday night’s The Bachelorette finale, there were two. But who was the final one left standing? Was it Tyler? Was it Jed? Was it, in the very end, neither of these aspiring husbands? Let’s get to the recap, shall we?!? “I am conflicted in my heart,” Hannah said when she woke up in Greece to kick off the finale, shocking viewerd who figured this would be an easy choice for her and adding: “I was hopeful that I would have clarity but today… I don’t know. I don’t want to not be 100 percent sure and then make the wrong decision.” Just how torn was the Alabama native? On her way to the proposal location, Hannah asked that the driver of her car pull over. She then got out of the vehicle, started walking away — and tripped! From her spot on the ground, she examined her elbow and told a producer: “I really can’t do this.” Still, she got up, dusted herself off and proceeded. And then entered Tyler, the first man to approach Hannah with a Neil Lane engagement ring. The contractor thought back the moment he fell in love with Hannah and gave her props for helping him transform into the man he wants to be. The man he was previously unsure he could be. But Hannah cut Tyelr off before he could propose.’ “I am so lucky to be loved by you and to feel that,” she began. “You have supported me, you have been so sweet and strong for me and done everything that I’ve asked and more, and loved me so much. And my life with you would be amazing. And when I told you I was falling in love with you, I mean it.” And then she dropped the heartbreaking bombshell: ” But I love someone else. I’m so sorry .” Tyler was hurt, but also classy. “That’s going to hurt but I’m still going to be your biggest fan rooting for you,” he told Hannah. “I wish you and Jed nothing but success. I really mean that.” Did Hannah find success with the supposed man of her dreams? Jed exited his car and walked up to his alleged soulmate with a guitar, telling the series lead: “Though the other side is kind of unsure, right here is for sure and I know that I love you. And talking is hard sometimes for me so …” Yes, he then broke into song, strumming and singing: We always knew it’s me and you. “I’ve been praying for this moment for a long time,” Hannah told Jed in response. “I’ve been praying for you. You’ve supported me, you’ve loved me, you’ve challenged me, you’ve moved me and it’s made me love you so, so much. And I am in complete love with you.” Cue the proposal! “I don’t want to go another day of my life without you being all mine,” Jed said as he took a knee. “Hannah, will you marry me?” YES , Hannah replied. “She’s gonna be a Wyatt!” Jed cheered to the cameras. Is she really, though? We learned after this opening hour that the couple’s honeymoon phase lasted two days. “The second night after we got engaged, Jed tells me that he had been hanging out with this girl before he left to come on the show,” Hannah revealed on the finale. “I was like, ‘When was this?’ And I remember him saying a week before the show. And I was like, ‘Okay, so you broke it off?’ He said yes, told me it was nothing. It was hard to hear, but I tried to let it go.” Wyatt, of course, has been at the center of cheating allegations for weeks now. Back in Los Angeles, Hannah and Jed sat down to discuss the allegations by Haley Stevens , in which she said that she and Jed were in a serious relationship while he was on The Bachelorette. When pushed by Hannah, Wyatt said he had slept with Haley the night before he left for this ABC franchise. He also said they spent a weekend together in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, after which she met Jed’s parents. Then, in January, Haley threw Jed a surprise birthday party… and her parents gifted them a trip to The Bahamas. Right before the trip, Jed learned he had been cast on The Bachelorette and, yes, he admitted to Hannah on the finale that he told Stevens he would go on the show just to promote his music. He also told Stevens that he loved her during this vacation to The Bahamas. Jed then actually added that arriving in Los Angeles for The Bachelorette effectively ended his relationship with Stevens — but he NEVER TOLD HER THAT. “ To me, I ended it in my heart and not verbally ,” he told Brown. “This is obviously humiliating for me,” said Hannah, adding that members of her family were receiving messages about the controversy. “When I look back, yeah, it was a f-cking sh-tty thing to do and I should’ve walked up and said something right then and there, and I didn’t,” he said. “I should’ve said something at the Fantasy Suite and I didn’t. But once this started happening and I started seeing how I was feeling about you, I couldn’t think about anything else. You were it. “The reason I held back details that I did was because I was scared that if I told you, you’d walk away from me. But she was also sure of herself and clear-headed. “I was being told half-truths and lies and you wanted me to have clarity and clarity means truth,” she told Jed. “You got to see all of me, I didn’t get to see all of you.” Shortly thereafter, the finale cut to the live studio segment, where Hannah confirmed she had dumped Jed’s cheating rear end . “From the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that I’m sorry. … I wasn’t the best that I could be,” Jed told Hannah on air, adding: “I’m sorry that I took away that experience from you. I’m sorry that this has hurt your family, your friends, Bachelor Nation, everyone, my family. I’m sorry. I’m responsible for this. I will own up to it all day.” And the Winner is? Yes!
