Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott: Falling Back in Love While Co-Parenting?

Fans are so optimistic about Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott getting back together that some think that they’re already dating again. A new report says that this isn’t quite the case, even though they are spending an awful lot of time together and it’s not all about Stormi. But sources close to the couple think that they’ll definitely get back together — and they’ve even worked out a timeline. TMZ reports that, though Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott may have broken up, they’re not entirely acting like it. And though the two had already affirmed their commitment to co-parenting Stormi, it doesn’t look like their time together is all about their daughter. Despite falling out of love, sources describe how Travis has been spending an awful lot of time at Kylie’s house. There are no plans to change this pattern any time soon, of course, as that’s where their precious little girl lives. But after Travis injured his knee on stage during a performance, he’s now recouperating over at Kylie’s. We’re pretty sure that couple breaks up, then man gets injured and must be tended to and they fall back in love is a standard romance premise. But even on the nights when Travis does not sleep over, he’s clearly still taking a walk down memory lane. On those nights, the rapper sleeps at the Beverly Hills home where he and Kylie and Stormi had previously lived together. Travis and Kylie are intentionally working on co-parenting as friends. Friendship is a different dynamic than what they had before. But the calendar itself is going to force the two to spend even more time together, because the holidays are coming up. As evidenced by Kim taking the reins of the big Kardashian Christmas Eve party last year, the holidays are a huge deal for that family. It makes sense, when you have such a large and very close family all living in such proximity to each other. Travis and Kylie are going to make sure that they’re both there for Stormi as her parents to give her “normal” holiday experiences. And even though they’re not currently a couple, some who’ve had their eyes on these two expect that to change before too long. The holidays can bring people closer, and Kylie does have a pattern of getting back with her exes … again and again and again. Kylie and Travis have a lot of unusual factors in their relationship that make them better able to co-parent after a breakup. For one thing, they are both rich. Travis is a millionaire. Kylie is a billionaire. When money is not a stress factor, either for childcare or vacations or anything else, it’s just easier to focus on your child after a breakup. They also became pregnant within weeks of dating, so they didn’t really have a lot of relationship baggage — good or bad — from before the baby bump. They also didn’t have a messy breakup. Despite unsubstantiated cheating rumors , more credible reports say that they just fell out of love. These factors make them better able to co-parent harmoniously, which is very much to the benefit of their daughter. Stormi delights in both of her parents and is growing up faster than any of us can believe. In a recent video, Stormi was listening to a song in which Kylie sings, but demanded that Kylie play music where “daddy sings.” Kylie was clearly amused by this request. Stormi was toddling around, holding the phone, and even tried to swipe the screen. She’s going to have a blast over these holidays. She may even form some lasting memories this time around. As for Kylie and Travis … no one knows the future, but there’s a decent chance that they’ll fall back into old habits under the mistletoe. Serial Reader: Cory Booker Read His ‘Rib’ Rosario Dawson A 250 Page Book Over The Phone–Just Like His Ex

Source: Tom Williams / Getty Cory Booker Reads Rosario Dawson 250 Page Books Over The Phone Before Bed Cory Booker is in the midst of running for President Of The United States, so it’s safe to say his time is very limited for outside activities. Just last month reports surfaced that if he didn’t raise another almost $2 million dollars he would be out the race altogether. Luckily for the Presidential hopeful, he was present for the latest Democratic debate this week, proving he secured that $2,000,000. Even with the difficult task at hand and campaign financial woes, it looks like Senator Booker still finds time to tend to his boo Rosario Dawson . During her latest profile for the Washington Post , we learn that not only is he finding the time, but he’s finding a whole lot of it. In the profile, she opens up about her love life and gives some insight into their year-old romance, such as pet names–stating that he calls her “RIB.” Obviously, that’s an ode to the bible, but it’s also what her initials would be if she decides to take his last name (we see you, smooth talker). Dawson also shared that they love being those annoying vegans who tell everyone that they’re vegan for no reason other than to be obnoxious. However, the biggest highlight and the piece that’s since gone viral is the fact that Cory “Whats in the Kool-aid” Booker hits Rosario on the FaceTime to read 250-page historical books to her. To quote the Post piece: “Dawson says they went two months without seeing each other. But they’ve made up for it with FaceTime, which they try to do twice a day. He’s gotten in the habit of sending her music every morning, and he just finished reading David Benioff’s World War II novel “City of Thieves” to her over the phone.” In theory, the sentiment is very cute, but “romantic” may be a stretch. The novel takes over 5 hours to read aloud and the content is set during World War II. As The Cut pointed out, this ain’t even the first time he’s done this for a love interest, which he said on record previously. In a 2016 interview with the New York Times , Booker talked about his then-current girlfriend and their relationship, saying: “Before I knew it, we were reading the book out loud to each other, over the phone, and I was drawn in. “Soon we were reading chapters on our own, and she was telling me to slow down and not get too far ahead.” When Dawson dropped this cute little tidbit, she was probably unaware he had previously said this in a profile to gain those good guy points…but about a different woman. It’s one thing to listen your boo read a book to you over the phone, but it’s an entirely different feeling when its a World War II novel–then you find out he does this for all of his girls. Hopefully, these two make more time to spend together so they can avoid FaceTime dates in the form of novels altogether. View this post on Instagram Two premiere’s in two days! Remember Eminem Was Endorsed By Donald Trump 15 Years Ago

More:

Source: PIERRE ANDRIEU / Getty Remember in 2017 when  Eminem  came out of his decade long hiatus to drop a drop a new album and share his thoughts about the state of the world? That same year, Marshal made headlines for dragging Donald Trump to filth at  BET Hip Hop Award s, which made many fans glad that the real Slim Shady was back. He rapped: “Any fan of mine who’s a supporter of his / I’m drawing in the sand a line, you’re either for or against.” Apparently, Trump was so shook by the hard lyrics that he allegedly sent the Secret Service to investigate Eminem. Let’s be real, Em is the only rapper to diss both George W. Bush and Donald Trump while they were still in office. Fortunately, the “Stan” rapper has grown and evolved over the years. So much so that on his 2017 track “The Ringer”, he expressed his regrets about the Trump diss, rapping: “If I could go back, I’d at least reword it / And say I empathize with the people this evil serpent sold the dream to that he’s deserted. I’m watchin’ my fan base shrink to thirds. And I was just trying to do the right thing, but word.” But did you know that before Trump was head of state, and before Em was a reclusive hip hop icon, the two actually had a normal relationship. Trump gave an impassioned endorsement speech for Em at the 2004 Shady Convention which was organized by MTV to celebrate the rapper’s new satellite radio channel. It sure is a far cry from how the Donald is feeling about Eminem these days. And too bad Marshal can’t actually run for President in 2020. Check out the video above. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Em.   [ione_media_gallery src=”https://globalgrind.com” id=”4237872″ overlay=”true”]

Black Film: Cash Money Films Releases ‘She Ball’ Trailer With Birdman & Nick Cannon [Video]

Source: Earl Gibson III / Getty Cash Money Films “She Ball” Trailer With Birdman & Nick Cannon While Birdman leaves Cash Money Records’ current day success in the hands of Blueface, it seems like he is focused on expanding his range as a CEO to every realm outside of music. Cash Money has a both a book publishing division and film division, which hasn’t been active in years–but all that is about to change. This week, a new film called She Ball was announced along with a star studded cast and the movie is said to be the brain child of Birdman and Nick Cannon , who will both be featured in the film. The project deals with multiple topics that people face everyday regarding subjects like race, gentrification, criminal justice, and women empowerment. The upcoming film is written, directed, and produced by Nick Cannon, who explained the plot as follows: “ She Ball is about community, and the inclusive nature of controlling your own background. It’s a story that doesn’t have any boundaries. It’s a sports movie, it’s a love story, and it’s a comedy.” In addition to Birdman and Nick Cannon, the film is also set to feature a slew of star-studded talent. The supporting cast for the movie includes the likes of Cedric The Entertainer, DC Young Fly, Evan Ross, Faizon Love, and will be told through the eyes of Melody Rae Kandil. The film’s second trailer is going to arrive later this week, while the film itself is set to hit theaters in February of 2020. This is the first of several projects expected to come from the imaginations of Birdman and Nick Cannon. One thing you can bet on is that the soundtrack will be massive and just as start-studded as the movie itself, with several hits to accompany the film. CNN Panel Taken Aback After Bakari Sellers Calls Rep. Tulsi Gabbard A Russian “Puppet”

Source: Neilson Barnard / Getty Bakari Sellers made an explosive charge regarding one of the presidential candidates ahead of tonight’s Democratic Party debate showing. The former South Carolina politician said that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is a puppet of the Russian government. During Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s New Day morning program, Sellers sat on a panel consisting of White House correspondent April D. Ryan and political commentator Angela Rye to discuss tonight’s Ohio debate. Towards the end of the segment, Sellers aimed sharp words towards Gabbard not unlike he’s done in times past via Twitter. “There is a chance that Tulsi is not just working for the United States of America, but I digress,” Sellers said, causing Ryan to react with shock. He added, “I firmly believe that Tulsi Gabbard stands on that stage as the antithesis to what the other 11 individuals stand for, especially when it comes to issues such as foreign policy. “There is no question that Tulsi Gabbard, of all the 12, is a puppet for the Russian government.” Watch the CNN exchange below. — Photo: Getty

Spragga Benz Talks ‘Chiliagon,’ Jamaica’s Censorship

Source: press handout / tma A few days before this year’s West Indian Day Parade in New York City, Spragga Benz was a guest at SUNY Empire State in downtown Brooklyn. The dancehall pioneer was seated at the front of the room alongside two music executives and Dr. Carolyn Cooper, a professor at the University of the West Indies. They would be discussing the future of dancehall and reggae music as well as what that progression means for new artists. “The youth are doing their thing,” Spragga says, following the panel. “It’s a whole new generation from 1995. A different set of youth.  They’re expressing themselves and it’s not fair for us to say that what they’re doing isn’t right. Or lesser than that because we were free to do what we wanted and our parents were probably saying that what we were doing is stupid or wrong.” “A man may start out slack and end up conscious. It’s a journey.”—Spragga Benz On an elevated platform, Spragga offered stories of humble beginnings and incidentally finding his place in dancehall, although his personal business would have been better off without the cameras and the bright lights. “More people wanted me to record and I was like, ‘Alright. This thing is getting out of hand now…” The audience chuckled collectively. He continued earnestly, “Because my thinking at the time was about the type of lifestyle I was living, the type of friends that I had and the type of things we were doing… I’m not going up on no stage.”  View this post on Instagram See me with my spliff… big tune on the Grass Is Greener soundtrack #netflix @salaamremi production A post shared by Spragga Benz (@spraggabenz3) on Oct 13, 2019 at 5:56pm PDT That fear of exposure ended shortly thereafter as Spragga would go on to run the genre in mid-90s and now as he nears 30 years in the industry, there’s a sense of reverence that comes with his name. So much so that his first album in nearly a decade, Chiliagon , debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Reggae charts. Spragga Benz is out here breaking personal records for himself, even still. In a recent press release, Lem Oppenheimer, co-founder of Easy Star stated, “We are proud to have helped Spragga get to #1 for the first time in his career. What this shows us is that Spragga is still a vibrant artist, a current creative force, and an important voice in reggae worldwide.”    The album [ cop it here ] is a direct reflection of how Spragga defines the word ‘chiliagon’ — “a shape with a thousand sides.” The mix of roots reggae, drum and bass, dancehall, grime, garage and hip-hop highlights an evolution of sound, at least from his end. “That’s how I approach music,” he reveals. “I don’t really box into anything. I have different sides to myself and there’s an inclusion of all different genres of music, but to me a lot of different music comes from dancehall same way. So this album shows the connections and similarities and how a dancehall artist actually sounds over these different beats that actually aren’t that different.” Spragga claims that “No Regrets,” a wavy, roots reggae-inspired track from Chiliagon is his favorite on the album. Preceding the LP, Spragga’s “Count Tree” over the “Calaloo” riddim specifically highlights his spirited flow alongside synth-heavy production with just enough bounce to fall within the lines of traditional dancehall. Another single, “If Yuh Ready,” with UK DJ General Levy is specifically grime, or as Spragga describes: “Jungle Music!” His eyes light up, excitedly. “That same jungle music? It’s derived from dancehall music. It’s the same thing just sped up. They use our same bass lines and faster drums.” Naturally mellow, nothing seems to move Spragga Benz like music or talks of progression. As an OG in the dancehall world, Spragga has made it his business — his literal business, with Red Star Productions — to help motivate and encourage those coming behind him. Red Star is a sort of in-between, for young creatives trying to find their way. “We try to enhance the talent of young artists, bringing what they have out of them,” he explains. “Some may come to us as artists but they aren’t really artists. They might be a better producer or road manager or a writer, whatever it is that you want to do, we’ll push you to do it anyways, because that’s your desire until you find your growth and then you can always divert.”  “We try to just bring people in, let them be themselves but we try and guide them in the direction they want to go in without tying them to anything. You owe us nothing. It’s just doing you doing your own work and us giving you a platform.” View this post on Instagram #Repost @sunyuwicenter ・・・ Thank you to all of the participants who supported the successful launch of the SUNY-UWI Center for Leadership and Sustainable Development —Community Engagement Lecture Series entitled: “The Caribbean Music Industry 2019: What’s Next for Reggae, Dancehall and New Breakout Artists?” . . . #brooklyn #brooklynny #education #highered #suny #spraggabenz #sunyuwicenter #sunyuwi #clsd #music #breakoutartists #summerlecture @cristyofaragon @spraggabenz3 @irie_bobby @sunyempire @uwitv #empirestatecollege #carolyncooper #communityengagement #lectureseries #caribbeancommunityimpact #jamaicandiaspora #reggaemusic #dancehallmusic #artist A post shared by Spragga Benz (@spraggabenz3) on Aug 20, 2019 at 2:58pm PDT Earlier in the evening, during the panel, one man in the audience stood up and lamented, “It is the artist’s responsibility to censor your lyrics…” Attendees murmured in their seats. “You owe it to the youth.” It was only a matter of time before the topic arose of Jamaica’s unyielding moral code of conduct. Spragga held steadfast in his belief that an artist having to censor himself, defeats the idea of his being a creative. “They’re [the government] censoring dancehall artists, specifically,” he shares later. “Because those from other genres are able to say whatever they feel like saying. And I just think we should be free to say whatever we feel and express ourselves in our own way. Every man has his own idea of what’s right and what’s wrong. So leave a man to his own judgment and learning.”  “A man may start out slack and end up conscious. It’s a journey,” he continues. “Allow a man to walk his journey. Censorship comes in when some people want power over other people. Or when some people feel important and want to be ‘the God’ over what other people are doing and when you have enough people who feel that way, they form themselves into bodies and give themselves titles and feel even more important.”  “But artists only want to express themselves, we have our own moral compass to follow. A lot of us have children too and come from good homes with parents that give us certain  responsibilities and morals as well.”
