According to Jojo, who penned What If Jussie Smollett Is Telling The Truth? for BET, Jussie “didn’t even want to contact police” to begin with. “He was weary and didn’t care for the unnecessary attention it might garner. His choreographer insisted, and the choreographer contacted the police himself,” Jojo wrote in the op-ed, also claiming Jussie is now suffering mentally. The Empire actor has since been acquitted but faces a civil lawsuit from the city of Chicago who claims he intentionally misled police . “I WAS SHOCKED AT HOW EASILY easily everyone accepted the ridiculous motive about Jussie’s career that was promulgated. Jussie had actually begun directing episodes of Empire , which brought additional compensation. He worked out a deal with Fox to own 100% of his music masters, released an album, which lead to a sold out world tour and he donated every cent of ticket sales to charity,” he wrote. “He even signed the group, June’s Diary, to his label. My brother was developing two films with one of the biggest producers in Hollywood, had the lead to a Broadway show on the table and owns the option rights to the authorized autobiography of his idol, Alvin Ailey. All pointing to not only an advancing career but a business savvy mind. To suggest that he staged his own attack to boost a sagging career is ludicrous. Jussie has a team of extremely effective agents, managers, publicists, and attorneys who helped him acquire career advancement. I just wanted every kid to get a chance to build something,” Warren wrote on Twitter. “That’s why I’ve fought so hard to end the student debt crisis & invest in opportunities for America’s young people.” The 2020 presidential candidate’s proposal would cancel up to $50,000 in debt for people with an annual household income of under $100,000 (your average American). According to the Los Angeles Times, anything beyond that income threshold, “smaller amounts of debt would be canceled but no one with more than $250,000 in household income would be eligible.” In her plan to make educational debt more manageable, Warren also proposed free tuition for 2-4 year public colleges. LA Times reports: At issue is the top economic challenge for a key Democratic constituency — millennial voters, many of whom have gone to college and left school during a decade that has seen an explosion of student borrowing. Student loan debt has more than doubled, to about $1.5 trillion, over the last decade, according to a Federal Reserve report that found the trend has contributed to declining rates of homeownership among young adults. “The time for half measures is over,” Warren says. “My broad cancellation plan is a real solution to our student debt crisis. I can’t believe you people get as excited about Game of Thrones as you do…. I mean I can believe that YOU people get as excited as you do about Game of Thrones…because social awkwardness, Autism, being an adult virgin comes with some level of appreciation for comic books, Sci/Fi, and Fantasy shit…if there’s wizards and dragons in the shit, you’re there…and if there’s tits in the shit…you’re even happier to be there… I am talking about the rest of society who don’t even know this site exists as we are in the underbelly of the internet where no one even knows we exist…but I still see people, moms, middle aged women, normal suburban idiots freaking out about the premiere, or about last nights episode…from all walks of life people are hooked. I am convinced it is one of those situations where people feel compelled to be a part of something, and they have no opinion of their own, so that if they were to stand up and say they don’t like it, they’d be putting themselves in a vulnerable position they can’t be in, so it’s easier to tell themselves and their friends that they like it to fit in, cuz they actually don’t even know what they actually like or don’t like… That’s how pop music is made, and I guess pop TV shows like Game of Thrones…who I am sure don’t care about me being the one person who hates anything remotely like that shit… Which is pretty hurtful, those Game of Thrones people should be nicer. Last week, fans were stunned by the news that Adele and husband Simon Konecki have split . After nearly a decade together, they’re parting ways … and the couple did not have a prenup before they married. How much of a windfall is Simon going to get after divorcing one of the wealthiest musicians on the planet? Adele has been one of the wealthiest musicians on the planet for years. She has an estimated net worth of $180 million. It is widely understood — which means believed but unconfirmed — that she and Simon never signed a prenuptial agreement. A quick point of order, all marriages effectively have a “prenup” in the form of the divorce laws of the local government. Anyone getting married should look up how assets are divided upon divorce before they get married. If they don’t like what they read, they should get a prenup. They’re not just for rich people. In the case of the UK, there’s a general rule for how property and wealth is distributed. In the UK, divorce generally sees assets divided 50/50. That could mean that Simon could be on the receiving end of a whopping $90 million. However, there are a few factors that may mean that he gets a smaller windfall. One, UK courts are not immune to nuance. They are not forced to divide things 50/50 and may distribute differently according to fairness. Two, by all accounts, the split between Adele and Simon has been largely amicable. Recent reports show that division of property is already underway. Documents reveal that Adele sold the couple’s $3,900,000 home in the UK in February. A month earlier, she had transferred ownership of a home in L.A. to Simon. It may be that the two of them have worked out a fair division between the two of them. (Notably, Simon is also a businessman and entrepreneur — he’s not a trophy husband, as some had assumed) This could greatly reduce personal stress — and it would also be to the benefit of their child. Adele and Simon began dating in the summer of 2011, just under eight years ago. The couple welcomed a son, Angelo, in 2012. Angelo will turn 7 years old in October of this year. Adele and Simon have been intensely private about their relationship and their son. Fans had to guess her child’s name when she was spotted wearing a necklace that reads “Angelo.” And the world only knew that she and Simon had married when they were seen with wedding bands in January of 2017. “They tried everything in their power to stay together,” an insider tells RadarOnline . “But in the end,” the source laments. “The time they were spending apart became too extreme.” “Simon has no interest in red carpets, showbiz parties, or being on the scene,” the insider explains. “Whereas Adele has been back in the recording studio of late,” the source notes. “And is ready to get out and mingle again.” “She has a great social circle with a bunch of strong Hollywood women who love her for her humor and down-to-earth ways,” the insider adds. J ussie Smollett ‘s career has taken a huge hit since he was accused of staging a hate crime. This week, it was reported that Smollett is no longer considered to play the lead role in the Broadway revival of “ Take Me Out ,” which is about a about a mixed-race baseball. Also, there have been several reports that this will be Smollett last season on “Empire.” Now, his older brother, JoJo Smollett is speaking out in an essay for BET . He slams the Chicago Police Department, the Osundairo brothers and the court of public opinion. See Also: Complete Timeline Of Jussie Smollett Investigation In the lengthy essay , JoJo writes, “Within less than three months, his life has been turned upside down as my family and I have witnessed him endure unrelenting attacks to his character and reputation. Like so many others, this entire process quickly devolved from a focus on him as a victim of assault, to him being falsely accused and held responsible for a crime that was perpetrated against him. To define this experience as unjust would be an understatement.” He also takes aim at the Osundairo brothers, accusing them of changing their story, “Jussie had already refused to sign a complaint against the Osundarios, convinced that these men, one who he had considered a friend and the other an acquaintance, could not be his attackers. Most importantly, detectives refused to show Jussie video, photos, or any evidence to prove they were the attackers. The fact that these two brothers, who in the final hour confessed to attacking my brother yet say it was Jussie who told them to, is all the evidence that the police and the general public needed to be convinced, should be frightening to everyone.” He continued, “With not one inkling of solid evidence, many believed the false witness testimony from two suspects who turned into witnesses, even though they lacked standard credibility. It was under-reported that one of the “witnesses” had previously been arrested for attempted murder ending with a plea deal for aggravated battery, or that the brothers repeatedly expressed homophobia on their social media in the past. Additionally, it was never reported that they changed their story while under police interrogation.” Olabinjo Osundairo was charged with attempted murder in 2011. The Chicago Sun-Times reported two months ago, “Court records show that Olabinjo Osundairo was charged with attempted murder in a 2011 stabbing that occurred in the 4200 block of North Ashland. That is less than a block from the home that police raided in the Smollett investigation, where they recovered personal effects, including cell phones, a source said.” Olabinjo Osundairo allegedly reached a plea deal “with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to aggravated battery; he was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay a $674 fine.” JoJo rips into the Chicago Police Department, pointing out their inconsistencies, “The Superintendent of the Chicago Police Department announced publicly that Jussie’s motive in staging an attack was so he could make more money from ‘Empire.’ Fox immediately said that wasn’t true but the police chief never withdrew his accusation. The chief also stated as fact that Jussie had sent himself the threatening letter that arrived at the ‘Empire’ production offices weeks before the attack. The FBI then refuted this claim. Again, the chief did not correct his accusations. Letting it float for the public to either believe or not.” He also added, “The entire police case rested on two witnesses that lacked credibility and there was no physical evidence tying Jussie to this crime.” You can read the full essay, here . On Jan. 29, while walking to a subway, Smollett claimed two men yelled racial and homophobic slurs at him, investigators told The Hollywood Reporter . They allegedly punched and poured bleach on him while one of the suspects put a rope around his neck. As they fled the scene, Smollett told police they said, “This is MAGA country.” The city of Chicago is now suing Smollett for a half a million dollars. Kim Foxx , the Cook County State Attorney, has been attacked by the Chicago Police and is calling for a prob into the 16 felony counts being dropped. Jussie Smollett has maintained his innocence. He came up with the concept for a board game after noticing the lack of lessons surrounding entrepreneurship within school curriculums. In September, he created a crowdfunding campaign for the creation of The Entrepreneur Game and raised nearly three times more than his campaign goal from supporters across the globe. The game—which was designed for children 12 and older—takes players on an entrepreneurial journey. You start off as the CEO of your own company and throughout the game you go through stages of budgeting, marketing, investing, and negotiating. The goal is to evade going bankrupt. The winner of the game is the individual who has the most assets. “We may learn a few things in school, but one of the subjects it’s unlikely that we’ve been taught is entrepreneurship: how to create and build successful businesses of our own. Many of our schools barely teach our children the skills they need to survive,” Eddie said in a statement. “We owe it to our children and all of our futures to make sure they know that they are capable of creating a successful business. To make sure our children know that they can take their skills, talents and ideas to find a problem and solve it, to find a need and fill it, or to create a market and build it. Our children must grasp that among all of the things they can be now, and as they grow up, an entrepreneur is definitely within their grasp.” Major toy retailers are already eyeing the game to add to their shelves.
