Recently the controversial Kodak Black found himself catching the wrath of his rap peers and basically everyone else for talking slick about a grieving Lauren London and while he’s since apologized for his headassery, he and T.I. have continued to feud over the situation. After taking down Kodak Black’s artwork from the Trap Music Museum it now seems like Tip might have something else in store for the alleged rapist in the form of a diss track that he previewed on social media. Without actually naming names, the King of The South drops rhymes that hint at his situation with Kodak with lines like, “Ni**a took it too far, better slow down/Your belief becomes your thoughts, then your thoughts become your word/then your word becomes your actions and your actions become absurd.” Well, he ain’t wrong. Whether or not Black will respond on social media or his own diss track remains to be seen but best believe T.I. ready for all the smoke with Kodak. Check out the snippet below and let us know your thoughts about the cut. The iconic Notre Dame cathedral in Paris is on fire as we speak. Officials told ABC that “everything is burning, nothing will remain from the frame” as the fire took down cathedral’s spire. The roof also collapsed as workers scrambled to salvage artwork stored and artifacts inside the cathedral erected in 1260 AD. ABC News reports that Paris Mayor Anne Hildago and firefighters warned people to stay away from the area. There have been no confirmed deaths or injuries. Officials believe the fire may be connected to a recent $6 million restoration of the church, officials said. Last week, the statues of the apostles were removed for restoration. Source: Chicago Tribune / Getty R. Kelly Is Broke As Hell Robert Kelly is broker than a muthaf***a. At least as far as one of his bank accounts goes. The Blast obtained some statements from Wintrust Bank showing that they notified Kelly’s landlord that his account with them is currently negative thirteen dollars. Kelly also had two Bank of America accounts that held 44,595.58 and $110,056.64 respectively for a grand total of $154,527.22. Of that amount, all but $625 was taken by Robert’s ex-landlord to pay his embarrassing amount of back rent. This landlord is playing NO games. They have subpoenaed Sony Music, ASCAP, and several other banks where R. Kelly has money stored in order to get the bread they’re owed. Robert isn’t going to have a dime to his name by the time he (hopefully) goes to prison. Blessed be!

Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Drake Responds To Be Called A Culture Vulture It’s no secret that Drake loves adapting to different cultures, their music, and most prominently, their accents. More specifically, the rapper really loves him some U.K. and they seem to love them some him, for the most part–but the feeling isn’t always mutual. Drizzy has been on his Assassination Vacation Tour for the past couple months and recently had to address an incident where a local artist called the Canadian a culture vulture. While the rapper has brought out popular British artists like J Hus, Krept & Konan and Dave throughout his different tour stops, some other U.K. artists still haven’t been feeling how Drake has been operating overseas. One U.K. grime rapper specifically, who goes by the name of Wiley, personally called Drake out on Twitter last week. Aubrey sat down with Tiffany Calvar of BBC’s 1Xtra Rap Show on Saturday and addressed Wiley’s comments, along with anyone else who might think he’s a culture vulture. “I hate that people think that, like, me being into music from these kids who are trying to make it and trying to build a name for themselves, it’s like, ‘Oh, that’s some culture vulture.’ What does that even mean?” The rapper questioned. “I don’t understand what that means. Would you rather me not acknowledge anything or support? That’s some real confused hater s**t. It is what it is. I see it a lot. I’ll never understand how supporting someone’s song or going a step further and giving someone a song, linking up, I’ll never understand how that’s not viewed as something admirable.” He continued, calling out the grime rapper by name: “It was Wiley that said that. I just said his name cause I felt like that was some goofy s**t. But yeah, I just didn’t like that. Like what are you talking about?” During the interview, Drake also addressed those people who say he has a fake accent. “It’s actually funny because I think when I first came in the industry, I think I felt this pressure to, ‘Be American’ and sound American,” he explained. “I think now that we are all so proud to be from Toronto, we start talking more like how we talk.” Wiley ended up responding to Drake’s call out on his social media pages, posting a clip of the interview on Instagram and calling the rapper “goofy.” View this post on Instagram @champagnepapi #GoofyYeah If what I was saying was wrong you would of stayed silent A post shared by Wiley (@wiley__) on Apr 13, 2019 at 10:57pm PDT
Source: Tim Mosenfelder / Getty Earl Sweatshirt Goes In On A Protestor At His Show Videos of Earl Sweatshirt in the wild are always a delight, just like this latest footage of the rapper going in on a protestor outside of his show. Earl performed at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado this week, but outside of the venue, he ended up getting into a confrontation with a religious protestor. A video of what went down ended up surfacing on April 12 after being taken by one of his fans who attended the show. “Spontaneously went to an Earl Sweatshirt show in Denver and saw him outside the venue telling this racist, sexist religious dude to fuck off,” she wrote in her caption. The footage shows Sweatshirt standing next to his tour bus as he gets into an argument with a man holding up a megaphone and flashlight, standing on a milk crate. As he tries to reason with the protestor, a woman continuously twerks in front of him, presumably trying to make him mad and leave the premises. “Can you stop?” Earl says to the man repeatedly. The protestor continues to counter, saying, “The Bible commands all man everywhere to repent. There comes a day that he will judge you and he will judge you for your sins. Your sins, sir, are going to drive you to hell. You need to repent of your sins and turn to Jesus Christ.” Earl is simply trying to get this dude to stop and continuously claps his hands together while telling the man, “Shut up, be quiet and go away.” Toward the end of the video, someone who appears to be security starts to pull Earl away from the scene. Check out the footage down below of what you can expect outside of the venue at your next Earl Sweatshirt concert. A Black youngster is displaying the power and importance of representation. At the age of four Noa was exposed to the legacy of aviator Bessie Coleman through an episode of the animated series Doc McStuffins and has made the effort to learn more about her historic contributions. When asked by her second grade teacher to do a project about Amelia Earhart , she decided to highlight Coleman instead, Because of Them We Can reported. When Noa was 4 she learned about Bessie Coleman. Now in the 2nd grade, when her teacher asked her to dress up and do a report on Amelia Earhart, she refused. Now she can add Bessie Coleman’s niece to her list of friends. https://t.co/ama7yfu2d0 — #becauseofthemwecan (@Becauseofthem) April 8, 2019 Noa and her classmates were tasked with doing history projects about influential figures from different time periods. They had to complete written reports and dress up as the individuals they wrote about for the school’s Wax Museum exhibit. Noa went above and beyond with her project and with the assistance of her parents contacted The National Aviation Hall of Fame and the National Women’s Hall of Fame who provided her with relics to use for her presentation. Cognizant of the influence that Coleman’s journey has had on Noa, the National Aviation Hall of Fame arranged for the second-grader to meet Bessie Coleman’s great-niece Gigi Coleman in-person. The organization flew the family out to Ohio for Coleman’s show which was a part of the Air Force Museum Foundation’s Living History Series. “I want other kids to know that at times it’s not just an assignment, but it could be something that could change your life,” Noa’s mother Moniqua told the news outlet. Born in 1892, Bessie Coleman was the first Black woman to earn a pilot license. Since there were no flight training opportunities for women and people of color in the United States she saved her money to study aviation in France. The Texas native got her international pilot license in 1921. She aspired to open up an educational facility for Black fliers. She died in 1926 at the age of 34 in a plane crash. Coleman was the epitome of a barrier breaker and her legacy lives on through individuals like Noa who have become students of her journey. Check out Noa’s Wax Museum project below. Source: Local: B2K 2019 Millennial Tour_Contest_KBFB_Dallas_RD_January 2019 / CS – IONE DIGITAL Last week I was able to relive one the best time periods in my 20 something years of living along with so many others at the Millennium Tour. Going back to a time where Jersey Dresses, Slouch socks, bamboo earrings, and men wearing 2XL everything was considered a trend, this was a show I could not miss. The best moment about this particular time period was the music. Lloyd had us wanting to go to the south side, while we chicken head with Chingy at the H oliday-Inn , we were all slowing down for Bobby V, Grinding with Pretty Ricky, rying to be J ust A Friend to Mario, and explaining to B2K why some of us made the perfect Girlfriend . There were many popular child stars and groups that was in our age bracket we felt there was chance to chosen, which I feel is lacking in today’s music. Who are kids listening to in there age bracket and who is this generation growing up with musically? As a child I had posters plastered all around my room and school lockers from the Word Up Magazines t o the CD covers. So covering the Millennium Tour was nothing short from amazing. Was I the only one who kept CD’s on repeat feeling like I was being sung to knowing damn well half of those songs we shouldn’t have known in the first place? Well it’s truly an amazing feeling to grow up with the stars you admired and I can honestly say the feeling was mutual for these performers as well. r While I enjoyed the show as if i was back at a Scream Tour, I did run into a few familiar faces. Now there were much speculation about certain artist not being apart of the tour and why, but somehow they made there way to Millennium Tour right here in the ATL. Check out what your favorite childhood stars, see what they’ve been up to along with what they have in store.
