Upon showing up at the club Savage was to receive the balance of $7,500 from the promoter. For an unknown reason, Savage never took the stage but he took the cash for the club gig. The promoter filed a police report and paperwork to get a felony warrant for theft by deception in October of 2016. After the warrant was issued it just sat there for more than 2 years and no legal action was taken until now. Email Submit Michael Avenatti is a Los Angles based attorney and is representing a man who he claims worked with R. Kelly for years but has now become a whistleblower. The tape was reportedly handed over to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office in Chicago last weekend by the whistleblower and is now under review. Avenatti to CNN that, “My client knows the identity of the girl and R. Kelly. He identified the two of them on the videotape. He worked for and has known R. Kelly for decades and he met the girl on a number of occasions,” Avenatti also tweeted this statement and documentation from his personal Twitter account: In response to press inquiries, attached is a stmt regarding our work on the R. Kelly in legal trouble back in February of 2002. The new tape is 42 minutes and 45 seconds and clearly shows a man that appears to be R. Kelly in two different “scenes” with what appears to be an underage girl. The young girl refers to her genitalia six times in the video as, “”14-year-old p***y.” The man in the video also can be heard saying the same thing. At one point the young girl can be heard calling him daddy and he asks her to urinate. She does and he urinates on her. CNN also reports that the video depicts a man who appears to be R. Kelly performing multiple sex acts with the girl. If you remember in the last case R. Kelly was adamant that it wasn’t him in the video. But there could be a clue in this video that may refute if he tries to deny it this time. The man in the video has a mole on the back of his neck. No word on if R. Kelly himself has a matching mole. Blac Chyna is known for her bizarre selection of men, including a previous relationship with YBN Almight Jay who was 18 years old at the time they started dating. Chyna then upgraded to a 19-year-old , Devin Haney, less than a year later, but that also seemed to come to an end. Now, according to recent Grammy party pics , Chyna seems to be spending some quality time with Soulja Boy. Which, from a rational perspective, feels like… Why. But from a Blac Chyna perspective, it doesn’t feel strange at all. As a matter of fact, the two could probably be the poster couple for strange love. Soulja Boy recently made headlines for his dramatic visit to The Breakfast Club where he proclaimed his influence on music culture and especially Drake. Though there was some truth to his proclamations, his eccentric delivery made him go viral, almost to the point where it seemed like he planned the whole thing. Him and Blac Chyna could be a match made in heaven. Blac Chyna continually keeps herself in the headlines, sometimes for good reason, such as her revenge porn fiasco with Rob Kardashian . But then other times, you really have to think… This story is so bizarre, Chyna has to be seeking attention (or crying for help), like when Chyna promoted skin-lightening cream in Nigeria. Bill Cosby is having an “amazing experience” in prison apparently With recent talks about mass incarceration and prison reform, many folks across the country are having deep conversations about what justice looks like. Bill Cosby ‘s experience in prison is sure to stir the pot, especially since his lawyer, Andrew Wyatt , says Cosby is having an “amazing experience” behind bars. Wyatt spoke to WCAU-TV about Cosby’s time in maximum security at a facility near Philly. Cosby is serving up to ten years after being convicted of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand back in 2004. Wyatt said Cosby has high spirits while in prison, and he’s even talking to other inmates and encouraging them. “Despite the circumstances, he said, ‘This is an amazing experience,’” Wyatt said. “Mr. Cosby had prepared himself… He’s mentally strong. He’s just a strong man.” Wyatt and Cosby even maintained his innocence amidst sexual assault accusations from over 50 women. “When I visit him, it’s nothing sad about it,” Wyatt said. “He’s not sad. He’s not remorseful because he did nothing wrong.” Cosby’s “amazing experience” brings to question whether the women accusing him of rape really got the justice they needed. It’s a peculiar thought that might not have an answer right now, but one thing’s for certain… The strange times don’t stop.
Rapper 21 Savage is finally free! He was released from US immigration custody on Wednesday, where he was being held for overstaying a visa over a decade ago, his attorney Charles Kuck said. 21 Savage, whos unfortunate real name is Sheyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, was released on bond and a photo was provided to CNN, by his attorneys, that showed the rapper and his mother boarding a private plane after his discharge. He was arrested by ICE (US Immigration and Customs Enforcement) on February 3, which said he was born in the United Kingdom and was in the United States illegally. His birth certificate proves that he was born in East London to British parents. This deeply disputed arrest also showed the seriousness at stake for undocumented immigrants in America, “particularly in the Trump era,” shared CNN . Allowing other artists throughout the country to come forward and address the problem at hand. Including Kendrick Lamar, DJ Khaled, America Ferrera, Common and SZA. “No person in the world deserves to be treated like this,” DJ Khaled said in a video released by the website Mic . “The time for change is now.” The video also created a petition to #Free21Savage. He was scheduled to perform at the Grammys on Sunday night with Post Malone during his “Rockstar” performance and he was also nominated in several categories. Post was even wearing a shirt with the rapper’s stage name on it underneath his jacket during his performance with Red Hot Chili Peppers. But the special moment came when songwriter of “This is America”, Ludwig Coransson, made sure to mention his friend in his own award speech. “We want to thank all the rappers that are featured on the song. 21 Savage, who should be here tonight,” which gained large applause from the audience, including Post Malone. His attorneys Kuck, Dina LaPolt and Alex Spiro, issued a statement Tuesday on behalf of the performer: “21 Savage asked us to send a special message to his fans and supporters – he says that while he wasn’t present at the Grammy Awards, he was there in spirit and was grateful for the support from around the world. “And is more than ever, ready to be with his loved ones and continue making music that brings people together,” the statement said. “He will not forget this ordeal or any of the other fathers, sons, family members, and faceless people he was locked up with or that remain unjustly incarcerated across the country. And he asks for your hearts and minds to be with them.” It is too common and tragic that so many individuals grow up in America believing they’re American, yet end up getting deported. The rapper first came to the US in 2005 at 7-years-old. But in 2006 his parents failed to renew his visa. Therefore, he has been living in the US illegally since then, according to immigration officials. Kuck has said his client has a U-visa application pending with the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, according to CNN and “has relief from removal available to him.” This visa application was filed in 2017 and still has yet to be approved. He filed four years after he was reportedly shot six times during an incident in which a close friend of his died. A U-visa is available to those who have been victims of a crime in the United States, have suffered physical or mental injury as a result of a crime and who are helpful to law enforcement or government officials in an investigation, according to ICE. LaPolt said in a statement to CNN that “Mr. Abrham-Joseph is a role model to the young people in this country, especially in Atlanta, Georgia, and is actively working in the community leading programs to help underprivileged youths in financial literacy.” After the rappers hit song “Bank Account” he announced a campaign last year that gave 21 teens $1,000 to start their own bank accounts and learn about financial literacy. “It’s ironic because growing up in Atlanta, I knew almost nothing about bank accounts, 21 Savage said in a March news release. “Now that I do have money in my bank account, I want to help kids with a background similar to mine to get smart about their money.” CNN reports that this is not the only run-in Savage has had with the police. Back in October 2014, Savage was convicted in Fulton County, Georgia, on counts of marijuana possession with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm or knife, delivery, distribution and/or possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. The rapper’s representatives said the “conviction was expunged.” But like his latest album states, “I Am > I Was”. Atlanta’s underground and elite hip-hop scene gained Savage around 2013 and since then he has conquered the music game. We are all glad to have him back and maybe we will release a hit soon about his occurrence. Which will hopefully inform the world on the Immigration system and how it needs some major adjusting. On Wednesday, the music world was shocked by reports that celebrated singer-songwriter Ryan Adams has been accused of sexual misconduct and psychological abuse by several female musicians. In a scathing report from the New York Times seven women — including Adams’ ex-wife, Mandy Moore — came forward to detail instances in which they had been harassed, threatened or manipulated by Adams. On Twitter, Adams’ tone switched from combative to almost-apologetic, as he issued a statement in which he asked forgiveness, while at the same time refusing to accept responsibility for his alleged actions. Prior to the publication of the exposé, Adams assumed a defensive posture. “F-ck you. You are kitty litter. Happy Valentine’s Day,” he tweeted alongside the Times famous logo. “Run your smear piece. But the leagel [sic] eagles see you. Rats. I’m f-cking taking you down,” Adams continued, seemingly threatening legal action against the paper. After the piece was published, however, Adams adopted a more conciliatory stance: “I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes,” he tweeted. “To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.” Possibly in reference to allegations that he sent sexually explicit photos to an aspiring musician who was in her early teens at the time (Adams was already in his forties), the singer had this to say: “But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false,” he tweeted. “As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. “I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing.” On Twitter, many were quick to point out that at no point did Adams acknowledge his victims or offer them the solace that might have come with accepting responsibility for specific actions. According to Moore and singers Phoebe Bridgers and Jaye Courtney — Adams used the promise of career success to lure his mostly much-younger victims into scenarios where they were pressured to engage in sex acts. “Music was a point of control for him,” says Moore, who adds that Adams engaged in frequent “psychologically abusive” behavior during their 6-year marriage.
