Happy Birthday Justin Bieber! Cougars Rejoice, The Boy Is Finally Legal!

The day that some women have been waiting for has finally arrived! The teenage superstar celebrates a milestone birthday March 1 when he turns 18 years old — making him legally allowed to do such things as vote and get a tattoo, though that hasn’t stopped him from getting some ink before. Let’s take a look back at 2011, which was a was a whirlwind year for the pop star, both professionally and personally. The biopic about his rise to fame, “Never Say Never” was released in February 2011 and was a box office boom, and his “My World” tour had fans screaming around the world to get a glimpse of their idol up on the big stage. While Bieber is preparing for a new album to drop this spring, he didn’t leave his fans empty-handed this Christmas, and released a holiday album, “Under the Mistletoe,” as a special treat. Bieber certainly grew up over the past year. He and girlfriend Selena Gomez made their red carpet debut at Vanity Fair’s 2011 post-Oscars bash, and the two piled on the PDA while on vacation together in Hawaii and have been spotted on dates all over the world together. While things seem to be going well on the relationship front, Bieber got his first taste of some adult drama last fall, when Mariah Yeater claimed that the teen singer had sex with her backstage at one of his concerts and was the father of her baby. DNA tests were submitted, and the matter quietly went away after some serious legal threats from Bieber’s camp. Keep it 100, have any of you caught Bieber fever and fantasized about bedding the young Canadian heartthrob? Despite all the thirsty hoes that wanna get a piece of Justin’s “Bieber” he still loves his bish. Image via WENN Source More On Bossip! What The Hell?? Denver Broncos WR On Trial For Sexually Assaulting & Knocking Up Drunk Woman After Forcing Her To Do A “Four-way” With Him, His Boo, And Teammate

SMH at them getting it poppin on a air mattress and this guy gets an NFL paycheck. Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas testified at former teammate Perrish Cox’s sexual assault trial Wednesday, saying that Cox carried a sleeping woman into his bed and then told Thomas, “I think she’s ready.” Cox is accused of sexually assaulting the woman, who testified earlier Wednesday. Both the woman and Thomas told jurors they kissed on an air mattress at Cox’s apartment after meeting Cox and Cox’s girlfriend at a club. Thomas said the woman fell asleep, and he dismissed Cox’s suggestion, saying he didn’t want to have sex with the woman because she was drunk. “I wanted to have sex with her but I didn’t,” Thomas testified. “We hadn’t done nothing before. I wasn’t going to try nothing that night because she had been drinking. She had got drunk.” Cox’s lawyer, Harvey Steinberg, objected to Thomas’ testimony because he hadn’t used the “she’s ready” phrase in a previous interview and asked for a mistrial. The judge rejected that. Thomas testified that Cox then sat with him in the living room for a while. He said the woman was still in the bedroom when he left about an hour later. The woman testified that she had a fuzzy memory of what happened that night and suspected she had been drugged after she woke up feeling sick the next day. Under questioning from Cox’s attorney, the woman said if something had happened with Thomas, she wouldn’t have considered it rape. “It wouldn’t have been fine but I wouldn’t have seen it as rape if he admitted it,” she said, referring to Thomas. She said Thomas denied that anything had happened. Later, she found out she was pregnant, and she contacted authorities Oct. 28, 2010. A DNA analyst testified that a paternity test using a sample taken from the woman’s placenta showed that Cox was the father, with more than 99 percent certainty. Thomas and Cox’s roommate, Cassius Vaughn, who was asleep in the apartment at the time of the alleged assault, also submitted DNA samples and were ruled out as the father. Steinberg rebutted the expert’s testimony by suggesting the sample may have been contaminated because it was an expedited request. Prosecutors Chris Gallo and Bob Chappell present a case that’s straightforward: Cox denies having sex with the woman, who can’t recall having sex that night but became pregnant and Cox’s DNA matched the fetus. But Steinberg, through cross examination of the prosecutors’ witnesses, paints a picture of partying and failed sexual relations between Thomas and the woman, and possible sexual relations between the woman and Cox’s girlfriend, Carthy Che. Thomas testified that the alleged victim was the aggressor when she jumped in the front seat with him and they started kissing as they drove with Cox and Che to Cox’s apartment. The alleged victim testified that she didn’t think she was drunk because she said she could have between 10 and 15 drinks without blacking out. Che also testified but rambled at times and couldn’t recall whether she spoke to an investigator who was sitting in the courtroom. In a question sent through Douglas County District Judge Paul King, jurors asked whether she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Thomas said the woman and Che appeared fine and were able to walk up the stairs to the apartment. Thomas sent the woman a text message around noon that day to ask if she remembered what happened earlier, which the woman told police she found suspicious. Thomas said he sent the text after Vaughn told him at practice that Che and the accuser had “girl-on-girl action.” “I asked if she hooked up with Che,” Thomas testified. He said he stopped texting her after she didn’t respond to about five messages. Cox has pleaded not guilty to one count of sexual assault while the victim was physically helpless and one count of sexual assault while the victim was incapable of determining the nature of the conduct. He faces two years to life in prison if convicted. Wow. Just wow!!! This story is wrong on too many fawking levels!!! So….they take a drunk girl home from the club, she gets it in with dude and his girl…then dude tries to get her to screw his teammate too…then girl gets pregnant and it’s the dude’s seed?!?!?!!? SMH. Was Michael Jackson’s Voice Faked For His Final Album?

They did MJ so wrong right before he died… TMZ has the scoop. Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris made a bombshell announcement to friends … telling them the MJ album released in the wake of the singer’s death did NOT contain MJ’s actual voice … it was an imposter. TMZ has learned … the announcement was made during an online video chat with several friends in 2010 … just before the “Michael” album was released, which contains several previously unreleased tracks allegedly performed by Michael Jackson. The video chat was recorded … and Paris joked about the footage eventually “leaking” to the Internet. Paris had made the announcement in the midst of rumors that MJ’s parts on the “Michael” album were REALLY performed by an MJ sound-alike named Jason Malachi … but both Jason and Sony denied the allegations. During the video chat, Paris played one of the songs from the album, “Hold My Hand” … and one of her friends asks why the singer doesn’t sound like MJ. Paris replied, “It’s NOT him … the whole album isn’t even him!! Go online … go on YouTube and look up Jason Malachi. That’s him!!” She continues, “I should know if it’s him or not because he would sing to me all the time.” So they were even faking MJ’s voice before he died? That’s wild. But we’ll have to see the actual video of Paris saying it because someone may have faked HER voice. SMH. Who can you trust these days? More On Bossip! Police: Chris Brown Stole Phone So Rihanna Wouldn’t See Pic Of Him With Groupies [VIDEO]

More here:

Chris Brown — who is under investigation for allegedly snatching an iPhone from a fan trying to take his picture as he left a Miami nightclub — may have freaked out because he was leaving the club with two groupies and did not want Rihanna to find out. Gossip Extra has learned that when Miami Beach police interviewed rapper Tyga , who was with Chris and two bodyguards in his Bentley at the time of the incident, all three told cops that Brown was freaked out because two female fans were taking photos of Brown walking to his car with two groupies, a source close to the case said. Tyga reportedly told detectives: “The guy’s trying to get back with Rihanna, and he knows that wouldn’t happen if the photos ended up online!” “The cops told the three characters that if they didn’t say what happened at the scene, they would be charged with robbery,” the source said. During the incident, the source added, one of the bodyguards grabbed a camera from Christal Spann. “Chris kept telling him: ‘Erase the motherf…… pictures,’” the source said. “Those photos can’t get out there .” The bodyguard obliged, then returned it to its owner. But from the back of his black Bentley, Brown grabbed Spann’s iPhone and closed his window as the car rolled away. The woman who claims Chris Brown robbed her of her cell phone was captured on video obtained by TMZ , clearly agitated as she tells cops, “He snatched my phone.” RELATED: Chris Brown Accused Of Stealing iPhone! Taylor Swift Calls Work On ‘Lorax’ ‘Completely Different’

Doing voice-over ‘very different from when you’re singing songs that you wrote,’ Swift tells MTV News. By Matt Goodhue, with reporting by Kara Warner Taylor Swift Photo: MTV News From the recording studio to the stage, it’s certainly clear that Taylor Swift has a knack for expressing her emotions and skills. While the singer/songwriter has graced the silver screen only once, she’s taken her talents to the sound booth for her portrayal of Audrey, a tree-loving daydreamer in the upcoming film ” Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax .” MTV News sat down with Swift recently as she prepared for Friday’s release of the famous Dr. Seuss tale, which follows the journey of a young boy who must save endangered trees in hopes of winning a girl’s heart. While making music and characterizing an animated girl are two quite-different tasks, if anyone can do it, and do it well, there’s no doubt it is Taylor Swift. “It’s a completely different space that you go to in your head,” Swift explained about voice-over work. “It’s very different from when you’re singing songs that you wrote. …With this, you’re sitting there in a booth by yourself having conversations with no one.” Having scripted conversations by yourself and answering questions to a voice you can’t even see might seem like a lonely gig, but, as with any of her work, the Grammy-winner found meaning and excitement in her role. Even though Audrey and Swift might not exactly resemble one another physically (Audrey has red hair), the blonde singer/songwriter connected with the character on a deeper level. “She’s heavenly. She’s such a day dreamer, and she cares so much about the past,” Taylor said. “To some degree, you have to have a priority based on the past and the future as well as the present.” As seen in the trailer, the character of Audrey is fun, bubbly, curious and a big fan of trees. Swift certainly fits all of these traits, and we’re looking forward to seeing what she does with the character when “The Lorax” is released Friday. Oh, and does Taylor dig trees as much as her animated counterpart? “I grew up on a Christmas tree farm, and she’s obsessed with trees,” she shared. Do you think Taylor’s voice will work well onscreen? Share your thoughts in the comments! Oscars 2012: Just Like Grammys, But With More Leg

Why the contest between the year’s two biggest awards shows wasn’t really much of a contest at all, in Bigger Than the Sound. By James Montgomery Angelina Jolie presents at the 84th annual Academy Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images There was a wardrobe malfunction , some racy fashion , a bit of onstage inebriation , a little pre-show punking and even a Justin Bieber sighting … and none of it was enough to spare Sunday’s 84th Academy Awards from being called “as bland as oatmeal” and a “badly paced bore-fest.” Those criticisms may or may not have been deserved; after all, the three-hour-and-something telecast certainly lagged in spots, most of Billy Crystal’s shtick seemed to have been vacuum-sealed during the latter days of the Carter administration and the most memorable moments centered on supposed nipple sips and Angelina Jolie’s right leg. And, shoot, it’s not like there was a whole lot of suspense involved with the show itself; everyone knew “The Artist” was a lock to win Best Picture , and, lo and behold, it did just that. Still, there were highlights— Emma Stone’s charming (and well-written) presentation bit opposite Ben Stiller, Octavia Spencer’s gob-smacked Best Supporting Actor acceptance speech (and frequent near spills beforehand), Will Ferrell and Zach Galifianakis’ cymbal-smashing stunt — but overall, consensus seems to hold that this year’s Oscar telecast was too bloated, too straight-laced and too self-reverent. In other words, it was just like every other Oscar telecast, only with accidental nudity and some Cirque du Soleil thrown in at the last minute. Which is why, after sifting through the aftermath of the show itself, I can’t help but notice the similarities between the Oscars and the 54th Grammy Awards , which unspooled earlier this month and were greeted with the same basic criticisms immediately afterward: feckless host, lifeless pacing, predictable results. And while comparing Billy Crystal to LL Cool J is basically a futile endeavor (Crystal was funnier, but LL bested him when it came to prayer-leading and headwear), it’s not exactly a stretch to call both telecasts long-winded, or make the connection between “The Artist” and Adele. Of course, some (like, uh, me ) have already floated the notion that the Oscars and the Grammys are basically the same show anyway — both are slightly silly, thoroughly incomprehensible exercises in self congratulation — though, for what it’s worth, I actually enjoyed Sunday’s Oscars way more than this year’s Grammys. I thought the former was a better show, more creatively staged, and certainly more adept playing the hand it was dealt. To wit: Producers went into Sunday’s Oscarcast having already weathered the Brett Ratner/Eddie Murphy bad-press fiesta, and knowing that a) this year’s crop of nominated-films weren’t exactly compelling, b) a (largely) silent, black-and-white film was the odds-on favorite, c) their host was born in 1948, and d) they were opposite the NBA All-Star Game. Forget about “cool” … about the best thing the Oscars could hope for was “classy,” and in that regard, they definitely delivered. On the other hand, heading into the Grammys, the presumptive favorite had also sold nearly 7 million albums (about as close as a consensus as you can get these days), one of the most-popular hip-hop artists on the planet was the night’s most-nominated act (that would be Kanye West ), and three of the world’s biggest pop stars ( Katy Perry , Lady Gaga and Rihanna ) were all in attendance. Oh, and then, on the night before the show itself, Whitney Houston — one of the greatest singers of all time, and a talent whose entire career was basically interwoven with the history of the award — unexpectedly died. If anything, the show was set up to be one for the ages. And yet, it largely wasn’t. Sure, Adele soared and scored, but everyone else in the previous paragraph was basically an afterthought. And the tribute to Houston, featuring a very game Jennifer Hudson, was buried in the telecast and largely forgotten by the following morning. Combine all that with an odd Nicki Minaj performance, that whole “EDM” tribute and a thorough bungling of the annual “In Memoriam” piece, and the Grammys were a debacle in just about every conceivable way (except for Dave Grohl , of course, who was awesome as always). So if these two awards shows really are so similar, well, for one year at least, they weren’t. The Oscars definitely out-gunned, out-shone, and even managed to out-Grammy the Grammys themselves. There was a slight spirit of irreverence (Angelina’s leg show, Sacha Baron Cohen’s ash-spilling stunt, the boozy “Bridesmaids” salute to Marty Scorsese) that permeated throughout the buttoned-up proceedings. They even got Justin Bieber involved, and the last time I checked, he was a musician (or at least that’s what people tell me). Both certainly warranted criticisms, though perhaps that’s just the case with all awards shows these days: They are largely antithetical to the way we operate, after all: throwback, three-hour telecasts where brevity is encouraged but never really enforced. They are practically constructed to be de constructed by bloggers the following morning, painfully un-hip, unapologetically huge and forced to appeal to the broadest of demographics. And yet (or probably because of all that), they routinely deliver viewership — this year’s Grammys were watched by 39 million folks, the largest audience since 1984 — which means they’re not going anywhere anytime soon … if ever. So if we’re stuck with them, we might as well come to appreciate them. Neither the Oscars nor the Grammys are ever going to be perfect … and this year, neither were. But when comparison is necessary (and given the scope of both, basically unavoidable), the Oscars came out on top, by a large margin. They did more with less, and did so with style to spare. And less Nicki Minaj. Then again, perhaps all of this just begs a larger question: Wouldn’t it be nice if there were some alternatives out there? I wouldn’t hold my breath for an answer, so in the mean time, I’m left to compare one bloviated, bloated awards show to another, even if they don’t even merit comparison.
