Now that LeBron James has packed up and left for warmer weather out west, the team that once was the highest valued franchise in the NBA is now embarrassingly desperate to sell tickets by any means necessary. According to TMZ , the Cavs were selling tickets for literally $2 prior to tip off the other night against the Brooklyn Nets. Cavs shady owner Dan Gilbert has a ticket resale app called Flash Seats and prices there were paltry to say the least, 200-section seats for $2.87, $2.99 and if you’re REALLY ballin’ $3.50. Be clear, this isn’t some fan-friendly pricing that the franchise is doing, they are trying to put a$$es in seats. For comparison, the cheapest resale ticket for a Lakers game against the Denver Nuggest was $80 before fees. When they say LeBron James is an economy in and of himself, they ain’t lyin’.
Another NBA season is upon us, which means Tristan Thompson will be spending much of the next several months traveling with the Cleveland Cavs. And it seems Khloe Kardashian is not too keen on the idea of spending her winter wondering if her husband is sleeping around. As you’re no doubt aware, Tristan spent much of last season cheating on Khloe while she was pregnant with his child. Against all odds, the couple patched things up over the offseason, but it seems the peace they reached was tentative at best. Now, with Tristan returning his attention to basketball, it seems Khloe is harboring some serious doubts about the future of her relationship. “She very much seems over Tristan,” a source close to the situation tells People magazine. “Not sure how they went from fine to being apart for weeks, but Khloe is doing great.” The source adds that Khloe has not followed Tristan back to Cleveland, as was expected — but for the time being, everyone seems content with the current living situation: “It doesn’t seem to bother her that she isn’t with Tristan in Cleveland,” the insider says. “She seems to know what she wants in her life right now. And it definitely doesn’t seem like she wants to be with Tristan.” As for whether or not Khloe and Tristan have officially broken up , it seems the couple is remaining mum in the issue for now: “Khloe isn’t saying that she and Tristan split. It seems she hasn’t decided yet what she wants to do about their relationship,” the source tells People. “And she seems fine about this.” For months, we’ve been hearing reports of the Kardashians pressuring Khloe to dump Tristan , so it should come as no surprise that Kim and company are quite pleased by this development: “Her family is happy that she is still in L.A. and wants her around for as long as possible,” the insider says. “No one is pushing for her to go back to Cleveland to be with Tristan. This will be her decision to make.” But despite the dissolution of both her relationship and the dreams of a traditional nuclear family that have been with her since childhood, those her know her best say Khloe has never been happier: “It’s amazing to see what a great mom she is and how much she enjoys it,” says the insider. “She is very much just focused on the happy things in her life. True, of course, makes her the happiest.” Sounds like Khloe is once again focused on doing what’s best for her baby — and for herself. The winning Mega Millions ticket worth a nearly all-time record-breaking $1.537 billion was sold in South Carolina. The winning numbers were 5, 28, 62, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 5. If the winner who’s yet to be identified takes the lump cash payment that’s $877.8 million after taxes. If you live in Georgia, check your tickets. WSB TV reports that 20 $10,000 winners were sold in the state. The winning tickets were sold in Athens, Atlanta (2), Buford, Conyers, Fort Valley, Hinesville, Kennesaw, LaGrange, Marietta (2), Pooler, Rising Fawn, Sandy Springs, Savanah, Tallapoosa (2), Trenton, Villa Rica and Warner Robins. Additional winners were announced in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Michigan where tickets worth $1 million were sold.

Harry How/Getty Images LeBron James Lakers Debut Marred By Fight Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you probably already know that the Lakers home opener — LeBron’s debut with the team — was interrupted by a huge on court brawl during the 4th quarter. You can see most of this pretty clearly in the video but TMZ is reporting that the 4th quarter catch fade began when Lakers Center, Brandon Ingram, shoved Rockets Guard, James Harden. Ingram received a technical foul for his actions but soon after Houston PG, Chris Paul and Lakers PG Rajon Rondo started throwing punches at each other. You can see Chris Paul poking Rondo in the face with a finger before Rondo threw a punch but Chris Paul and several teammates say Rondo was to blame and he spit in Paul’s face. The NBA hasn’t yet doled out punishments for those involved but stay tuned because there are likely to be some suspensions.
