James Harden Reveals Downside Of Dating Khloe Kardashian James Harden is single and mingling out here, but still has some residual thoughts about his 2015/2016 relationship with the NBA’s favorite Kardashian . Without naming names, Harden went into the fiasco that was his whirlwind romance with Khloe during his latest interview with Sports Illustrated and revealed what it was that ultimately weighed him down most and lended itself to the end of the relationship. Harden says he learned the hard way that dealing with a woman’s whose entire career is based on attention is draining, to say the very least. Basically, he couldn’t get with being photographed and followed for no reason other than walking around with this person on his arm: “I didn’t like all the attention… I feel like it was for no reason. I wasn’t getting anything out of it except my name out there and my face out there, and I don’t need that. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it wasn’t me. I don’t need pictures of myself when I’m driving my car. Who cares? What shoes am I wearing? Who cares? Where am I eating? Who cares? It was unnecessary stuff that I think trickled down to my teammates. I had to eliminate that.” As we all know, Khloe has moved on with yet another ball player . Khloe Kardashian & Tristan Thompson: ACTUALLY Engaged?!

From the time they started dating, rumors that Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are engaged have been circulating non-stop on social media. Of course, there have been just as many rumors about Khloe and Tristan breaking up , so it’s understandable that the public is becoming a bit skeptical. Even so, the engagement reports keep coming. The latest is courtesy of the folks at Life & Style, who are claiming today that a reliable source has confirmed to them that Tristan has indeed put a ring on it. And naturally the negotiations for Khloe and Tristan’s televised wedding started immediately. “They’re willing to spend $2 million on a huge, extravagant event,” an insider tells the magazine. “Kris [Jenner] got dollar signs in her eyes when Khloe told her the news. She was up all night typing a wedding plan and ideas for a TV special.” Apparently, Khloe has been planning her dream wedding for years, and she immediately knew exactly where she wants to say “I do.” L&S claims that Khloe and Tristan will be getting hitched at family friend Joe Francis’ lavish estate in Punta Mita, Mexico. ‘It’s extremely private,” says the source. “Khloe would love to rent if for a three-day celebration and fly everyone in on private jets.” Hosting an “extremely private” wedding just so you can televise the whole thing? That’s either really baller or really dumb, depending on your perspective. The source adds that Khloe and Tristan will be wasting no time in starting a family – even though Tristan just had a kid with another woman back in December: “She wants to have a baby with Tristan right away and isn’t bothered by the fact that he just became a dad,” the insider says. “Khloe feels healthier than ever and thinks this is the perfect time to try for a baby.” It all seems to be happening very fast (Khloe and Tristan have only been dating for six months), but from the start, Khloe talked about the NBA star in terms she never used for the other men in her life: “I think that’s why we are in relationships — to find ‘The One.’ And, I mean, I am in love with him,” she told Extra last month. “I think he’s the best… Only time will tell.” Sounds like Khloe will be spending a lot of time in Cleveland in the near future, but hey – there are worse things. Chicago Girl Killed In Gang Shootout Saves 6 Lives Through Organ Donation At this point there really isn’t a whole lot you can say about the gun violence in Chicago except that it needs to stop. There have been debates, panels, town halls, speeches and still, African-American blood continues to run the streets of one of America’s biggest cities. It isn’t often that we even get a glimpse of a silver lining when it comes to this subject, and we’re not even sure if this particular story can be classified as such. But we were taken aback by a Chicago-Tribune report about the violent death of 11-year-old Takiya Holmes. Takiya was sitting in a family van with her 3-year-old brother when Antwan Jones opened fire at rival gang members across the street. In typical fashion, Antwan didn’t hit a single one of his targets, yet happened to hit Takiya directly in the temple. Shortly after she was unplugged from life support on Tuesday, Takiya’s organs were donated to 6 people, one “distant” family member and 5 other strangers. Seven of Takiya’s organs were donated following her death on Tuesday — to a distant relative and to strangers she had never met. Someone received her heart, her pancreas, her lungs and her kidneys. Two recipients shared her liver. While the family’s generosity will certainly not completely ease the pain of losing their daughter in the first place, they are aware of the joy they have brought to others. “It brings us peace to know that she’s living in someone else,” said Holmes, adding that Takiya’s mother and father eagerly agreed to the transplants. “The fact that she extended another person’s life and helped give them quality of life, we can live with that.” It took a lot of courage by Takiya’s family to share their child with someone else. Minorities, and African-Americans in particular, are not quick to donate organs. Though 20 percent of all transplant recipients are African-American — the overwhelming majority of them kidney recipients — blacks make up only 16 percent of all donors, according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
