Khloe Kardashian-Lamar Odom Divorce: On Hold Because He’s AWOL!

We all know Khloe Kardashian’s relationship to Lamar Odom is a lost cause, but apparently so is the reality TV star’s effort to divorce the former NBA player. It’s hard to pull the trigger on a legal split when one party can’t be found. Khloe Kardashian filed for divorce more than 10 months ago, but she and her estranged husband are still married, as she can’t find him to sign the papers. “Khloe can’t even get in touch with him right now,” one insider tells Us of her current predicament, adding that Lamar “refuses to sign the divorce papers.” An Odom friend says the beleaguered athlete is still hoping for a reconciliation, but Khloe says that’s not gonna happen and just wants to move on. Heck, she already has, for over a year now. Remember the Lamar Odom crack video ? That was the nail in the coffin for her, and she even dated French Montana for eight months until splitting last month. Somehow, Lammy just can’t take a hint . Odom, for his part, has been keeping a low profile after getting dropped by the New York Knicks for failing to “uphold the standards to return as an NBA player.” A source said over the summer that the 34-year-old baller is “not doing great” and wasn’t committed to getting back on the court … or much of anything: “Everyone was hoping that what went down with Khloe would see him rededicate himself to training for the season, but he seems to be only half in it.” Much like with the couple’s divorce . Khloe and Lamar in Happier Times 1. Lamar with Kim and Khloe Lamar Odom poses here with Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian. He has since fallen on hard time. Why would he think she’d be open to take him back when he basically left her for a life of drugs and women? Why can’t he get his career and life together? Why won’t he at least give her the closure of signing the damn documents and letting her move on after all the problems he’s caused her in the last 18 months? Who knows with that guy, but if you watch Keeping Up With the Kardashians online , you know just how badly he’s hurt Khloe as it is. Just let her go, dude.

Race Matters: Offensive Remarks By Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry About Baller Luol Deng Sparked Investigation “He’s Got Some African In Him”

How deep does the NBA’s racist rabbit hole go??? Hawks GM Danny Ferry Made Racially Offensive Remarks That Led To Internal Investigation Via Deadspin The email that led Atlanta Hawks co-owner Bruce Levenson to announce his intention to sell his controlling stake in the team emerged from a months-long investigation by an outside firm, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. And that probe was ordered after a separate “offensive and racist” remark was included in a scouting report for Luol Deng. The account was confirmed by ESPN, which first reported that Deng was the player in question. At the meeting in early June, GM Danny Ferry accidentally read the offending remark from Deng’s report aloud. “Instead of [verbally] editing it,” said Hawks co-owner CEO Steve Koonin, “he said the comment.” Following the meeting, Koonin said members of the Atlanta-based ownership group raised a red flag regarding the comment and said: ‘This is wrong. This should not be said. It’s not appropriate in any world but not a post-(Donald) Sterling world.” Some in the ownership group called for an outside investigation, so the team retained the law firm of Alston & Bird. The firm conducted 19 interviews and examined 24,000 documents, including the 2012 email written by Bruce Levenson that emerged yesterday. Levenson called that email, in which he discussed ways to draw more white and affluent fans, “inappropriate and offensive” and “inflammatory nonsense.” Levenson’s email was addressed to Ferry, with co-owners Todd Foreman and Ed Peskowitz CC’ed. It’s not clear if the investigation is complete, or if more potentially offensive documents will turn up. But Steve Koonin told the AJC that “other disciplinary action will be taken, including against general manager Danny Ferry.” According to Yahoo! Sports , this is comment that Danny Ferry made during that meeting: “He’s still a young guy overall,” Ferry said, league sources with direct knowledge of the probe told Yahoo. “He’s a good guy overall. But he’s not perfect. He’s got some African in him. And I don’t say that in a bad way.” We always knew that Donald Sterling wasn’t the only NBA owner or executive that subscribed to an ignorant way of thinking, and here goes the proof-positive pudding. Another Donald Sterling: Atlanta Hawks Owner Bruce Levenson To Sell Team After Racist Emails About Black Fans Surface

Another racist owner bites the dust ! Atlanta Hawks Owner Bruce Levenson Sells Team After Racist Emails Surface Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson announced on Sunday that he would be selling his controlling interest in the team, and NBA commissioner Adam Silver issued the following statement about an old email in which he expressed offensive views: Via CBS Sports : Following Bruce Levenson notifying the league office this July of his August 2012 email, the NBA commenced an independent investigation regarding the circumstances of Mr. Levenson’s comments. Prior to the completion of the investigation, Mr. Levenson notified me last evening that he had decided to sell his controlling interest in the Atlanta Hawks. As Mr. Levenson acknowledged, the views he expressed are entirely unacceptable and are in stark contrast to the core principles of the National Basketball Association. He shared with me how truly remorseful he is for using those hurtful words and how apologetic he is to the entire NBA family – fans, players, team employees, business partners and fellow team owners – for having diverted attention away from our game. I commend Mr. Levenson for self-reporting to the league office, for being fully cooperative with the league and its independent investigator, and for putting the best interests of the Hawks, the Atlanta community, and the NBA first. We will be working with the Hawks ownership group on the appropriate process for the sale of the team and I have offered our full support to Hawks CEO Steve Koonin, who will now oversee all team operations. The NBA and its teams have long had in place anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies in order to facilitate respectful and diverse workplaces. Earlier this summer, the league re-doubled its efforts by, among other things, making it mandatory for all league and team personnel to receive annual training on these issues. The email was racist in nature, and Levenson expressed his remorse for it in a statement: “Over the past several years, I’ve spent a lot of time grappling with low attendance at our games and the need for the Hawks to attract more season ticket holders and corporate sponsors. Over that time, I’ve talked with team executives about the need for the Hawks to build a more diverse fan base that includes more suburban whites, and I shared my thoughts on why our efforts to bridge Atlanta’s racial sports divide seemed to be failing. In trying to address those issues, I wrote an e-mail two years ago that was inappropriate and offensive. I trivialized our fans by making clichéd assumptions about their interests (i.e. hip hop vs. country, white vs. black cheerleaders, etc.) and by stereotyping their perceptions of one another (i.e. that white fans might be afraid of our black fans). By focusing on race, I also sent the unintentional and hurtful message that our white fans are more valuable than our black fans. If you’re angry about what I wrote, you should be. I’m angry at myself, too. It was inflammatory nonsense. We all may have subtle biases and preconceptions when it comes to race, but my role as a leader is to challenge them, not to validate or accommodate those who might hold them. I have said repeatedly that the NBA should have zero tolerance for racism, and I strongly believe that to be true. That is why I voluntarily reported my inappropriate e-mail to the NBA. After much long and difficult contemplation, I have decided that it is in the best interests of the team, the Atlanta community, and the NBA to sell my controlling interest in the Hawks franchise. Hawks CEO Steve Koonin will oversee all team operations and take all organizational reports as we proceed with the sale process. I’m truly embarrassed by my words in that e-mail, and I apologize to the members of the Hawks family and all of our fans. To the Hawks family and its fans, you have my deepest gratitude for the past ten years. Working with this team and its extraordinary executives, coaching staff, and players has been one of the highlights of my life. I am proud of our diverse, passionate, and growing legion of Hawks fans, and I will continue to join you in cheering for the best team in the NBA.” Owners discussed the matter at a meeting last week in New York City, according to Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski .
