Rapper Gucci Mane was arrested early Saturday morning for a number of alleged infractions, including threatening police officers and gun possession. Gooch was taken into custody at 12:05 a.m. this morning after an incident in which one of his friends complained to police about his erratic behavior. The friend waved down the cops to help out (with what, it’s unclear), but as they approached, Gucci Mane began ” cursing and threatening them .” Probably not a smart move under any circumstances, but especially not if you’re carrying marijuana and a handgun on your person, which he apparently was. Mane was thus arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct and marijuana possession. He was also hospitalized as a precaution. After six years together, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are married! The singer and supermodel tied the knot this afternoon in Lake Como, Italy. The couple’s “intimate” ceremony was attended by the likes of Kanye West, Brooklyn Decker (as maid of honor) and Biz Markie, among others. Teigen, 27, was fittingly serenaded by Legend, 34. “I will be singing for her, ‘All Of Me,’ which I wrote for her,” the Grammy-winner revealed before the big day. “I wrote most of [my latest] album about her.” The song is featured on his latest album Love In The Future , and also features a music video that apparently co-starred Chrissy Teigen topless . As for pre-wedding jitters, there were none. “I guess you’re supposed to get nervous before you get married but I feel good,” Legend said last month, while his bride-to-be offered a similar take. While she admitted worrying about wedding details, “We’ve been together for like a long time so there’s no, ‘Is this the right decision?’ No. None of that.” Legend and Teigen began dating back in 2007. John proposed in December 2011 while the duo vacationed over the holidays in the Maldives. Congratulations to the couple!
Paula Deen returned to the public spotlight for the first time since this summer’s n-word scandal, and cried tears of joy after receiving a huge ovation. The celebrity chef, 66, broke down in tears amid 10 minutes of thunderous applause at the Metro Cooking & Entertaining show in Houston Saturday. “These are tears of joy, y’all,” she said. “This is my first time out in three months. The one place I wanted to make my first step out was in Texas.” “You are forgiving folks with hearts as big as your state. We all experience pain in some way but pain is also a good thing because it makes you grow.” After her emotional outburst , Paula Deen quickly got back in touch with her sassy, culinary side joining sons Bobby and Jamie for a cooking demo. It looks like she’s clearly back in the swing of things. Deen walked up to a cameraman at the end of her exhibition, put her face right up close to his camera and said with a giant smile, “I’m back!” After the summer she had, that must feel good. The controversy began when she and brother Bubba Hiers were sued for racial discrimination and sexual harassment by former restaurant manager Lisa Jackson. When a transcript of a legal deposition, in which Deen admitted she had used the N-word in the past, was leaked in June, it swiftly ignited a firestorm. Paula denied all of Jackson’s claims and only admitted using racial slurs in past, unrelated circumstances, but her empire began to unravel fast. The Food Network fired Paula and she lost many lucrative endorsement deals shortly thereafter, including Smithfield Hams, Target and Walmart. Ballantine Books also canceled a five-book deal and stopped publication of her cookbook, despite the fact that the book had already hit No. 1 on Amazon. Last month, the lawsuit was dismissed , but the damage was done. A judge threw out the racial discrimination portion of the suit and soon after, Deen and Jackson reached a settlement to dismiss the remaining claims. Now that she’s back, do you forgive her? The couple, parents of two sons and sweethearts for the past 12 (!) years since, finally made it official at the Grand Del Mar hotel in San Diego, Calif. The couple’s sons LeBron James, Jr., 8, and Bryce Maximus James, 6, were there for mom and dad’s big day along with friends and family members. On hand for the wedding were LeBron’s teammate and fellow NBA all-star Dwyane Wade, his girlfriend Gabrielle Union, singer Ne-Yo and many others. LeBron James and Savannah Brinson got engaged in January 2012 after he proposed with a huge ring at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach. Congratulations to the happy couple and family!
The Bachelor star Gia Allemand, who took her own life last month, often suffered major mood swings that her mother believes were caused by one major factor: Her menstrual cycle. A grieving Donna Micheletti told Dr. Phil Tuesday that daughter Gia’s intense PMS clouded her thinking and likely contributed to her suicide attempt. “She was not depressed. Sometimes, when it was that time of the month, she would get insecure and go to a dark spot, and feel like nobody cared,” Micheletti said. “She just snowballed.” Donna, who lives in New York, she spoke to her in New Orleans the night of Gia Allemand’s suicide attempt and booked her a flight to visit the next day. “I’m not happy. I can’t go on with this anymore,” Allemand told her. “At that point, that day, with how she felt with her menstrual cycle, she could not see clearly,” Micheletti said. “I was trying to talk to her, trying to be careful what I say.” “I didn’t want to upset her more, and I was nervous.” She said Allemand’s menstrual cycle was so powerful, it could change her demeanor “like night and day … it would come out of nowhere,” Micheletti said. “All of a sudden something would click in there, and she would say, ‘This isn’t right. He doesn’t love me. He’s not this. He’s not that.'” “He” would be Ryan Anderson , her NBA player beau. Gia Allemand Passes Away According to New Orleans cops, Allemand hanged herself within two hours of her boyfriend claiming he didn’t love her anymore and trying to initiate a breakup. The gorgeous model left a suicide note on her dining room table that read, “Mom gets everything,” and wrapped a vacuum cleaner cord around her neck. One end of the cord was found tied to the handrail on the second floor. The other end was still attached to the heavy vacuum found at the bottom of the stairs. Allemand likely on the phone with her helpless mother at the time. “I heard her last breath,” Micheletti told Dr. Phil. “I thought it was just mumbling. I couldn’t understand her. It was incoherent. I didn’t know what it was until after the fact.”
He didn’t mean no harm… ASAP Rocky Apologizes For Homophobic Appearance With Jason Collins At MTV VMAs There were many eyebrow-raising moments during this year’s MTV VMA’s most of them seem to involve sex, being damn-near-nekkid, or both! One of these moments occurred when MTV asked Harlem’s favorite fashionisto ASAP Rocky to stand side-by-side with openly gay NBA player Jason Collins to introduce Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ performance of the gay rights anthem “Same Love”. Suffice to say Rocky looked hella uncomfortable. So uncomfortable in fact that viewers and black Twitter tweeters picked up on it and rushed to their CPUs to make a GANG of homophobic memes. According to Rocky, he didn’t mean for his body language to be so…demonstrative. In an interview with The Stashed at the Made In America festival he says: “I’m mad that my facial expressions was like that because I’m not homophobic at all, and that whole thing just came off real homophobic,” said Rocky. “I didn’t really notice it until I got home and saw it. I apologize to Jason for that, because people was laughing and sh**t, and you know… I really don’t think that’s funny. I saw they were making all the memes and pictures and making fun of him. There’s people out there that think I was doing that to be funny, and truthfully I got gay people in my family. I don’t give a f*** if you gay or you not, I just found it odd that MTV wanted to stand me next to this n***a when they are talking about gay people, that’s all. Eminem stopped by the ESPN broadcast booth during halftime of last night’s Michigan-Notre Dame game, talking with broadcasters Kirk Herbstreit and Brent Musberger and promoting the video for his new single, ” Berzerk .” Sort of. The appearance has gone viral due to the rapper’s zoned-out state, as the artist responded to Musberger’s first inquiry with: “Sorry, live TV. Live TV freaks me out a little bit. What was the question?” It only went downhill from there, much to the amused confusion of Herbstreit.
