By Jim Cantiello Adam Lambert Photo: Jeff Vespa/ WireImage Sunday was a big day for impatient Adam Lambert fans, who got their first taste of post-“Idol” Lambert music thanks to a leak of “Time for Miracles,” the highly-anticipated soundtrack song from the upcoming disaster flick “2012.” The track was released in Italy, the Netherlands and Belgium yesterday, and it didn’t take long for the song to get uploaded to streaming video sites for all the world to hear. Lambert’s record label, 19 Recordings/RCA Records, tried its best to take down the illegal streams as they went up, but a few still lingered at press time.

A United States tax amnesty, part of a campaign to crack down on perceived tax havens such as Switzerland, has netted 7,500 repentant tax dodgers. An investigation into UBS, that found that the Swiss bank had helped US citizens evade tax, helped fuel a crusade to weed out cheats who were using offshore accounts to hide undeclared assets

Vote Sends Gaza War Report to Security Council

GENEVA (AP) — The U.N. Human Rights Council voted Friday to endorse a Gaza war crimes report and send it to the Security Council, possibly setting up international prosecution of Israelis and Palestinians accused of war crimes. The council approved a Palestinian-backed resolution after two days of debate on the Goldstone report, which it had commissioned following the Dec.

Pirate Bay sued by FPM, FIMI

The FIMI (Federazione Industria Musicale Italiana) and the FPM (Federation against Musical Piracy) have declared their intent to sue the founders of the torrent tracker The Pirate Bay , seeking monetary damages of 1 million euros. The move follows the recent lawsuit against the site by the Hollywood studios , the decision of a Netherlands court that the site must be blocked in the region , and the fact that the proposed purchase of the site by Global Gaming Factory seems to be on the brink of failure . The lawsuit will be against the site’s founders, Peter Sunde, Fredrik Neij and Gottfrid Svartholm

The Pirate Bay must block traffic to the Netherlands

A judge in the Netherlands has ruled today that the three founders of the The Pirate Bay torrent tracker must begin blocking all traffic to the region before August 9th. The ruling says specifically that the founders must “each separately and together, stop and keep stopped the infringements on copyright and related rights of Stichting Brein in the Netherlands.” If they do not, they will face a fine of 30,000 euro, per day. Stichting Brein is an anti-piracy group, funded by Dutch copyright holding groups
