Hey guys, my name is Noortje and I’m from the Netherlands. So my first MBE took place on: 1 January 2010 at 14:42:53. That day was the day Justin followed me on my old personal twitter, almost 3 years ago. My second MBE took place on March 27/11 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands on the My World Tour. I entered the BieberFever competition, I had to make a video where I was promoting BF. After that I had to wait for a while, one day before the concert I got the BEST e-mail ever. I was at my work secretly checking my mailbox till I found the mail from Brad. This is one of the moments I will never forget, I won the competition and was going to meet MY IDOL the next day, are you kidding me. I couldn’t believe it. So I called my best friend Marit who was going with me to the concert and we freaked out over the phone. The next day we went to Ahoy, the stadium he was playing at in Holland. Me and my friend Marit were there at around 2pm cause we couldn’t get there earlier. It was so amazing meeting up with all the other Dutch Beliebers, and there was a karaoke party and stuff. Around 5pm we had to head in to get our wristbands at the reception. After that we went with this big group to a room where Justin was. Some guy told us the rules and then all of the sudden Kenny walked in LIKE OMG , being the shy person I am I didn’t talk to him. How stupid of me. After some minutes the door to Justin opened, and let me tell you he was F L A W L E S S. Like I’m not even kidding or exaggerating. It was like he was perfect doll/statue, so beautiful I couldn’t believe it. We went in and he said hello, and me and my friend Marit, Sherice and Monique (two strangers back then) were SO shocked, we couldn’t answer him. Then we took a picture and he was like, ”Thank you very much” IN SUCH A SWEET WAY . I’m still drooling. I was flipping in my mind so hard. When we walked out I remember saying ‘OH MY GOD’ and then some girls came in and literally jumped on him LOL. Even though it were only about 30 seconds and I didn’t get to hug him or tell him how much I love him, it still were the BEST 30 seconds of my life. The day after I saw a press conference on my TV of Justin in Belgium and he was talking about how girls would show up at the M&G and would just black-out and don’t say anything. It reminded me of our meeting with him , hehe. Justin, thank you for everything. You continue to make me smile, proud and love you even more everyday. You’re the best. Can’t wait to see you rocking the Believe tour in Paris and Holland. I’m traveling all the way to Paris just to see you. Going to try my hardest to meet you again and get to tell you how much I love you in person. Oscar Pistorius Will Become The First Double-Amputee To Run In Olympics Oscar Pistorius, a double amputee known as the Blade Runner, will get to compete in the London Olympic Games in not only the 1,600-meter relay but also his favorite event, the 400 meters. South Africa named Pistorius, 25, to the team as a competitor in the 400, making him the first amputee track athlete to compete in the Olympics. Pistorius was born without a fibula in both legs, leading to the amputation of each leg halfway between the knee and ankle. He now has artificial limbs that are made of carbon fiber. The spring-like step in his stride was considered an unfair advantage of able-bodied athletes and in 2007 the governing body of track and field, the International Association of Athletics Federations, amended its rules to ban the use of “any technical device that incorporates springs, wheels or any other element that provides a user with an advantage over another athlete not using such a device.” But the Court of Arbitration, an international group that settles disputes, ruled in 2008 that Pistorius did not have an unfair advantage over able-bodied athletes. Pistorius, though, did not qualify for the Beijing Games. Pistorius ran a personal-best 45.07 seconds last year and opened this year with a 45.20, both Olympic-qualifying times. But South Africa’s Olympic-qualifying guidelines demanded he run 45.30 or better at one more international meet before last Saturday to seal a spot in the 400. He missed that time by less than a quarter of a second in his final qualifying race at the African Championships. “Today is truly one of the proudest days of my life,” Pistorius said after South African sports officials placed him on the nation’s Olympic team despite falling short of their stringent qualifying standards Helluva testament to not giving up and following your dreams, way to go Oscar. Michael Johnson Says Black People Who Are Descendants Of Slaves Make Better Athletes Do you agree?? Olympic legend Michael Johnson says a ‘superior athletic gene’ in the descendants of West African slaves means black American and Caribbean sprinters will command the sport at the London Games. The Olympic gold medallist and BBC commentator said: ‘Over the last few years, athletes of Afro- Caribbean and Afro-American descent have dominated athletics finals. ‘It’s a fact that hasn’t been discussed openly before. It’s a taboo subject in the States but it is what it is. Why shouldn’t we discuss it?’ Reigning Olympic 100m champion Usain Bolt was born in Trelawny Parish, Jamaica, where British Olympic boss Lord Coe’s plantation-owning ancestor George Hyde Park had 297 slaves. Of the eight 100m finalists four years ago, three were Jamaicans, two came from Trinidad and Tobago, two were Afro-American and one, representing the Netherlands, was born on the Dutch Caribbean island of Curacao. All eight are believed to be descended from slaves. Johnson says: ‘It is currently being researched to see how much of a factor being descended from slaves contributes to athletic ability.’ Some scientists believe a combination of selective breeding by slave owners and appalling conditions meant that only the strongest slaves endured, creating a group predisposed to record-breaking athletic performance. African slaves underwent a rigorous selection process and only the fittest were transported on ships. Interestingly, the toughest journey was to Jamaica, the last stop on the slave trail. During one voyage in 1732, a staggering 96 per cent of slaves lost their lives – 170 boarded the ship and only six got off. Jamaican geneticist Dr Rachael Irving said: ‘There was not much oxygen on slave ships so they had to use whatever they had to survive.’ Dr Herb Elliott, doctor to the Jamaican Olympic team, added: ‘Only the most aggressive and fiercest slaves ended up in Jamaica.’ Johnson, 44, had a DNA test for a Channel 4 documentary, Michael Johnson: Survival Of The Fastest, to be screened on Thursday night, which confirmed he is of West African descent. He said: ‘All my life I believed I became an athlete through my own determination, but it’s impossible to think that being descended from slaves hasn’t left an imprint through the generations. ‘Difficult as it was to hear, slavery has benefited descendants like me – I believe there is a superior athletic gene in us.’ Discuss… Via DailyMail

My Bieber experience started when I saw that Justin was coming to The Netherlands for the my World Tour. I was going crazy, and so did my mom. She loves Justin! We are both beliebers. On the day we could buy our tickets, I had to work, so I went to work half an hour later. It started at 9, my mom and I had 6 computers and 4 phones. My dad and little brothers were calling for tickets too. After a couple minutes I still didn’t have tickets…until my dad called me. He had 4 tickets. I screamed and cried. Even my mom cried, she was so happy for me. Finally on 27 March 2011 we drove to Rotterdam (Holland) to go to the concert. There were so many girls, and some TV and radio media. When I got there, I got a text message from a friend that they saw PATTIE. First we saw Dan Kanter, and Alfredo. I also saw DJ Tay James and Michael Vargas standing there, all alone. No beliebers were around, I was like WTF? I walked up to him, and got pictures. He was very nice. Then I saw Ryan Good and we got a picture with him, it was crazy to meet them, and talk to them. I only see them on Twitter but never in my dreams would I think I’d meet them. The concert started and we had AMAZING seats. It was the best day of my life. It’s more than a year ago and I want to see him again so bad! Thank you Justin for giving me this change. I love you.
