Anthony Weiner: Headed to Prison For Sexting Teenage Girl?

These days, the unfortunately-named Anthony Weiner is better known for his numerous sex scandals than for his political career. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after inadvertently tweeting a sexually explicit photo of himself. In 2013, Weiner returned to the political arena with a failed campaign for mayor of New York City that was cut short when it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting Sydney Leathers, a young woman who went on to tar in an adult film based on her involvement with the disgraced politician. It seems even that incident wasn’t enough to keep the 52-year-old from sending explicit texts and social media messages, and Weiner was caught up in two additional sexting scandals in the past month. While his political career has come to an end, until recently Weiner was married to Huma Abedin, a top aide for Hillary Clinton. Abedin left Weiner after the latest round of revelations, but his name is still linked with the Clinton campaign, and thus, his scandalous private life is still making headlines. And unfortunately for everyone involved, Weiner’s dalliances keeping getting more and more shameful. Back in August, Weiner was caught in yet another sexting scandal after having sent a number of explicit photos (at least one of which showed the former congressman lying in bed next to his young son) were posted by a woman who set out to “catfish” Weiner.  Last week, it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting a 15-year-old girl , a move that could land him in serious legal trouble. Page Six consulted with legal experts to find out if Weiner could be facing jail time for the illicit texts. The answer? Some believe that not only is Weiner headed to prison, he latest misdeeds might lead to a new federal law being enacted. “This could be the tip of the iceberg with a minor,” a DC lawyer and former DA who believes Weiner will do time. “This is not the first school girl he wants to see in her uniform.” She added that he’ll almost certainly be facing a civil suit from the girl’s family as well: “This is disgusting and depraved. I would not want to be his lawyer. He is not going to win this case.” As a result of Weiner’s latest scandal, New York State Assembly candidate Dean Hart is calling for a bill to criminalize sexually explicit text messages sent to minors: “When you are an adult you don’t play games with 15-year-old girls . . . This should be illegal and eliminates the difference between images and writing.” Hart added: “This is how he gets his jollies. I thought he needs a shrink … but now [with a minor], they got to make it a crime. “When people drive drunk, they are not permitted to drive a car again, so they should ban him from using cellphones and the Internet.” Others believe Weiner will avoid jail due to the fact that thus far the texts between Weiner and the teen that have surfaced have not featured any explicit photos. Whatever the case, this latest controversy should serve as a decisive nail in the coffin for Weiner’s political career and his marriage.

Stevie J and Joseline: FIRED From Love & Hip Hop Atlanta!?

Are the tumultuous, tawdry, terrible twosome of Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez getting the boot from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta? A series of new reports in recent days suggest that the VH1 series’ best known stars may not be coming back for Season 6. Can we really put any sort of stock in that, though? According to Starcasm, Stevie J and Joseline have allegedly been told that their (large) contracts won’t be renewed for the new season. This talk has not been confirmed, but it makes you wonder. The drama between the two of them has been legendary, and real life and reality TV have blended together like never before of late. If you watch Love & Hip Hop Atlanta online , what you’ve been seeing – especially in this past year – is the VH1 beast eating its own tail. Even before Season 5 began airing, drama between Stevie J and Joseline was playing out online and escalating as the season progressed. By its end, Joseline accused Stevie J of molesting his daughter with Mimi Faust and said she passed a polygraph proving he loves gay porn . Yes, both of those things already happened. Crazily, that was not even the end of it. Stevie later confessed in a radio interview that he and his “wife” had never actually been married. Then, to top it all off, Hernandez got pregnant (supposedly) and disavowed Stevie … who may also be expecting another kid of his own. This all came to a head on the Season 5 reunion, obviously, boosting the show’s ratings higher than ever even as credibility suffered. Funny how that works. Not that seems to matter for the series’ viewers or tweeters, both of which reached record levels this spring. All of which brings us to today and talk that their “contracts for the VH1 show have not been renewed” and “ will not be renewed for Season 6 .” However … Both are reportedly in talks for spinoff shows; Stevie J’s is tentatively titled The Jordans, featuring the producer and his extended family. Stevie’s real name is Steven Jordan, and he has a lot of kids and baby mamas. Joseline’s alleged spinoff would focus on her pregnancy. Whether or not she’s actually pregnant, or Young Dro is the father, remain to be seen – but that’s neither here nor there at this juncture. Again, all of this is unconfirmed, so take it with a grain – nay, a boulder – of salt. Ditto Mimi Faust and her own recent cryptic comments. Mimi tweeted out “Goodbye Season 6” and stated she is on to “bigger and better things” while sharing a photo of herself and her agent. Are we suddenly looking at a mass exodus?! Smith is also said to be on the fence about returning, hinting on social media posts over the past few months that he may also peace out. That would leave the show down many cast members heading into Season 6, but remember that social media is a huge marketing tool. VH1, perhaps more than any other network, uses Twitter and the like to build buzz for its on- and off-screen drama, to massive success. Don’t be surprised when everyone re-ups for new deals just in time to resume filming, and for the contrived drama to be literally unprecedented. Well, maybe not unprecedented. Organization Decides To Be On The Right Side Of Colin Kaepernick’s Protest After Colin Kaepernick took a seat during the national anthem, there were many wondered how the San Francisco 49ers would handle the “distraction.” As it turns out, they’re going to handle it by supporting Kap and putting their money where their mouth is. NFL.com is reporting the  49ers will make a contribution to community groups in the area that “work against social inequality.” via NFL.com The San Francisco 49ers have donated $1 million to a pair of Bay Area community groups that work against social inequality, the team announced Thursday. Niners CEO Jed York made detailed the 49ers’ donation in a statement: “Today, I am committing that the 49ers Foundation will contribute $1 million to the cause of improving racial and economic inequality and fostering communication and collaboration between law enforcement and the communities they serve here in the Bay Area. “We are partnering with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation and the San Francisco Foundation in this effort. We have chosen to work with these two organizations because they have proven track records of affecting change in the face of challenging problems and have the collective reach to make the greatest impact. Silicon Valley Community Foundation is the largest community foundation in the world, managing $7.3 billion in assets and more than 1,800 philanthropic funds globally. The San Francisco Foundation has served the people of the Bay Area since 1948, almost as long as the 49ers franchise. We are excited to work with these two renowned foundations over the coming months to develop a giving plan to help our community find unifying solutions to these pressing issues.” Both foundations, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport, do not have ties to Colin Kaepernick, who has been protesting social inequalities against African-Americans and other minorities in the United States by not standing during the national anthem. Kaepernick wrote on Instagram on Wednesday he would donate proceeds from his jersey sales to community organizations he supports. The 49ers weren’t the only team to donate to a community organization Thursday. The Green Bay Packers and coach Mike McCarthy each made $100,000 donations to the Green Bay Police Foundation in an effort to enhance community-police relationships. “I’m excited to support the Green Bay Police Foundation and its work to help all the Green Bay communities build those relationships,” McCarthy said. “It’s important so our children can grow, they can invest, and they can project a healthier and safer community. We want to shine a positive light on the enhancement of these engagement projects that are already in place.” Colin Kaepernick and those who support him scored major points today. Those who oppose will undoubtedly have plenty to say about the move.

Kylie Jenner: Check Out My Possibly Fake Hair!

Kylie Jenner is changing her hair up again, but could she be trying to fool her fans? There’s something about the snaps she shared that looks ever so fake.  Could Kylie’s Snapchat be run by the producers of Keeping Up with the Kardashians? There’s a strong possibility of that. Either way, the Kardashians needed their name on the news and Kylie’s alleged new hair seemed to fit the bill.  Jenner really does love to flash the cash, but is she really doing so on these brand new locks? On the above snap, Kylie makes it clear that getting her hair dyed is an all day affair.  Getting a perfect cut and dye does not happen quickly. It’s one of those things that takes a LOT of time for perfection. Being in the spotlight as much as she is, Kylie is no doubt very conscious about how the public perceive her appearance.  That said, the above photo does looks pretty edited.  It’s not the only one, either.  In her next snap, she continued to use the bunny ears to deflect the attention away from the hair that looks a little too edited.  If she’s going for platinum blonde, she doesn’t seem to be going the best way about it.  The fact we have yet to see the end result makes it all seem like something that could have been pulled out of thin air.  The Kardashians are great at deceiving fans, but could this one be a step too far? View Slideshow: Kylie Jenner Selfies: A Kandid Kollection The ratings are krashing for the E! reality series , so the family are no doubt worried about what will happen to them if the show is canceled.  Another network would probably attempt to snap the show up, but they wouldn’t pay the big bucks that E! does.  If you watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online , you’ll know that the show is running on fumes.  Any way you look at it, viewers are getting tired of the Kardashians, but what would really become of them without a show? It’s pretty crazy how quickly the ratings have slipped this season.  Might Rob & Chyna perform better than the parent series? Rob & Chyna Teaser: Constant Fights Make For Great TV! You can’t be serious… DeShawn Franklin And Family Awarded Just $18 In Civil Rights Settlement The case of a innocent black man brutally beaten by police in a case of mistaken identity is making national headlines. Four years ago 18-year-old DeShawn Franklin of Indiana was awoken out of his sleep by police beating and tasering him. Why? Because they mistook him for another black man with dreadlocks. Now in 2016 his family is reeling after being just awarded $18 in a civil rights violation settlement for his unlawful arrest. The IndyStar reports: DeShawn Franklin, a slim, soft-spoken young man, hops on a city bus most days to travel 4 miles to the University of Notre Dame campus, where he works setting up equipment and moving furniture. […] It’s the night four years ago when three police officers entered his family’s home without a warrant. They rousted him from the bed where he slept. They punched him six times: three times in the face and three times to the body. They used a Taser on him. Then they loaded him into a squad car in view of the neighbors. All because of a case of mistaken identity. All because he wore dreadlocks. Even South Bend’s mayor and police department acknowledge that the officers that July night in 2012 used excessive force and violated the civil rights of Franklin and his parents by entering the house without permission. A federal jury in Fort Wayne agreed this month, determining that the officers were liable for unlawful entry and unlawful seizure. But then another maddening thing happened: The jury decided that those violations of the Fourth Amendment were worth only $1. Yes, $1. Each police officer who ignored the U.S. Constitution was ordered to pay a dollar to DeShawn and to each of his parents for each rights violation. The family was awarded an insulting total of $18 in damages. It is their only compensation for a night that left a then-18-year-old high school senior bruised, embarrassed and afraid. And his parents wondering about whether a poor black family can find equity in the American justice system. This…is…ridiculous. Hopefully this case picks up more traction and an attorney can get this young man the real compensation he deserves.

Starz Execs Refuse To Cast Chris Brown To Appear On “Power” Earlier this week, 50 Cent took to Instagram to defend “his boy” Chris Brown against the cop’s overzealous response to the accusations put forth by f**kgirl Baylee Curran. As he says, 50’s relationship with Chris goes way back and to that end, he was looking forward to giving him a role on his hit show “Power”. However, the Starz execs put the kibosh on Breezy’s appearance and he was NOT happy about it according to PageSix Chris Brown “lost it” after he was booted from 50 Cent’s show “Power” just before he allegedly pulled a gun on a former beauty pageant contestant. Sources tell us that Fiddy had promised his friend Brown a major role on his hit Starz show, but network execs put a stop to the plan. A source close to Brown told us, “50 promised Chris a big role on ‘Power,’ playing a drug dealer. But 50 didn’t consult the network first, and execs were not happy when they found out about it.” The source continued, “The network insisted that Chris’ casting was not going to happen, because of fears about his anger issues. There was a big blowup, and they had to tell Chris he was not going to get the role. The news was delivered to him early Monday. He was livid.” Despite “the man” putting bangin’ the gavel, 50 ain’t trying to hear it… On Thursday, 50 Cent was still insisting he’ll get Brown on the show, despite the network’s reservations. He told Page Six, “Tune into ‘Power’ next season, because you will see Chris Brown.” We can’t think of a better show for a person with “anger issues” to play a role on. Dog Sacrifices Self to Save Baby in House Fire

There’s a reason why John Stamos got so emotional when saying goodbye to his best friend recently. There’s also a reason why the entire country stopped and paid tribute to a very special dog back in June. And the story below helps encapsulate these reasons… Earlier this month in Baltimore, a woman named Erika Poremski ran to her car to quickly grab an item. She was scarcely gone for more than a few minutes, but that was enough time for her home to become engulfed by flames. Poremski was tragically alerted to this fact when she heard the screams of her six-month old daughter, Viviana. In response, Erika and her neighbors desperately tried to climb the stairs to reach the child and also her six-year old dog, Polo. But the fire was too powerful. She had to turn around after suffering burns to her hands and face. “[My daughter] was up the stairs, but the fire [and] smoke was so heavy I couldn’t get past it,” Poremski told a local news outlet. “I kept running back out and back in, trying to get up there. Then, the door curling started falling and I couldn’t get back in…[I didn’t even] see all the skin was off my hand from grabbing the rail and it melted off.” Poremski called after Polo to escape the flames, but the dog did not response. We later learned why. According to firefighters who eventually arrived on the scene and rescued Viviana, they found Polo’s body inside the child’s room, draped over the baby. “That way nothing got to her. She only had burns on her side because of it,” Poremski said of her dog’s actions. “He stayed with her the whole time in the bedroom and wouldn’t even come downstairs to get out the door.” Viviana has burns on about 19% of her body as a result of the fire, but at least she’s alive. The same, sadly, cannot be said of Polo. “He was my first baby before Viv. He was like my child,” said Erika of Polo. “He followed us everywhere.” Poremski is obviously beyond grateful that her child is alive. But her beloved dog is dead and Viviana still needs a great deal of medical attention. “He was everything to me along with my daughter,” she says of Polo. “I’m losing everything I love in the blink of an eye. I feel like I’m drowning and can’t get out.” A relative has set up a GoFundMe account for Viviana’s medical expenses. You can click on the preceding link to donate to it.

Jessa Duggar: PREGNANT With Her Second Child!!!

It’s official: The world’s already-considerable Duggar population is soon to increase by one! Following weeks of rumors that Jessa Duggar is pregnant with her second child , she and husband Ben Seewald made the news official in a statement issued to People magazine this morning: “We are overjoyed to announce that Spurgeon has a new title in life as ‘big brother!'” Jessa and Ben told the mag. “We are so thankful that God is adding to our family.” They added that their forthcoming bundle of joy is due in February.  As fans of the family’s reality shows know, Jessa and Ben married in November of 2014 following the usual chaste, Duggar-approved courtship. (The couple shared their first kiss only after they were announced as man and wife.) Almost exactly a year after their wedding, the Seewalds welcomed baby Spurgeon  into the world. Spurgeon is just shy of nine months old, so it’s safe to say that Jessa plans to keep the Duggar tradition alive by raising LOTS of little ones. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Jessa stated that she and her husband would like to explore the possibility of adoption – while she contines to birth a small army the old-fashioned way: “We have many friends who have walked this road, so we have seen firsthand the amazing power of adoption,” Jessa said at the time. “There are so many kids out there who are longing for the love of a family, and we feel strongly about opening our hearts and our home to welcome them in. “We don’t know what the future holds, but as the Bible says, ‘Man plans his way, and God directs his steps,'” she continued. “So we want to move forward with paperwork and a home study, and just be ready for however God opens those doors.” So yeah, it’s safe to say you’ll be seeing a whole lot of little Seewalds entering the world one way or another in the coming years. Our sincere congrats go out to Jessa and Ben.  Now quit slacking, Jill and Derick! We know you’ve been out of the country, but there’s baby-makin’ to be done!
