Farrah Abraham: I’d Totally Return to Teen Mom!

Farrah Abraham apparently thinks she is just like Beyonce. No, she doesn't have any singing or dancing talent — and she definitely is not admired by millions around the globe. But Abraham has said in a new interview that she views herself as being irreplaceable. (Okay, granted, in Beyonce's song “Irreplaceable,” she's talking about a cheating boyfriend being under the misguided impression that he's  irreplaceable. But still.) The polarizing reality star has something to say about Bristol Palin leaving Teen Mom OG and even more to say about who she thinks ought to come on board for the new season. You likely won't be shocked by her answer. Scroll down to read it for yourself, however… 1. What is Farrah Abraham’s History with MTV? She was cast on 16 and Pregnant way back in 2008. She then starred on Teen Mom from 2009 all the way up through 2017. 2. And She Was Then Fired Because… … she appeared in a number of amateur pornography videos online. As one does. 3. But the Network Can’t Really Say Goodbye In late 2018, Farrah joined the cast of Ex on the Beach because, let’s face it, she’s a ratings draw. Viewers love to hate her. 4. And Now Farrah Wants to Save MTV From Itself… You see, Bristol Palin was brought in to replace Farrah — but ratings for her one season on the show tanked. Fans did not care for Bristol’s divorce storyline, or maybe they just didn’t care about Bristol herself at all. 5. See Ya, Losers! Dissatisfied herself with her role on the series, Bristol quit after just this one season, jumping up high on her pedestal and writing online: “Teen mom OG wasn’t a fit for me, it took away my peace.. and honestly – my peace has a price tag that no one but God can afford.” 6. She Added at the Time: “$ doesn’t impress me, I don’t entertain bs, and walking away from this show allows God to rebuild me (and my little fam) in the right direction.” View Slideshow

AMC Stars Talk The Importance Of Diversity & Inclusion On TV At Network’s Summit

Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC Stars From AMC, IFC & BBCAmerica & SundanceTV Gathered For Day Long Symposium On The Future Of Television Stars from popular shows like “Fear The Walking Dead,” “Sherman’s Showcase” and “Brockmire” spoke out about why it’s critical for Hollywood to continue to tell stories from diverse perspectives. The people behind the AMC Network’s slate of shows were in NYC this week for the AMC Network Summit, where they grappled with questions like “Who Gets To Tell The Stories in Hollywood?” in several panel discussions. The day-long convening at the Public Arts Hotel April 8 featured appearances by actress Sandra Oh of “Killing Eve,” Coleman Domingo of “Fear The Walking Dead,” “Star Trek’s” George Takei. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC Domingo, who also starred in “If Beale Street Could Talk,” said that box office blockbusters like “Black Panther” were successful because of their black casts and cultural references – and not in spite of them. “We all look back at Black Panther, which was epic – incredible storytelling, incredible heart, detailed, and human. And I think that’s why everyone responded to it in kind. To be that specific. I love how specific it was. Specifically very African-American, and very African as well. To trust that those stories are relatable to people of very different hues and backgrounds – because they’re just human stories.” For actress and comedian Tawny Newsome, of IFC’s “Brockmire,” television today has a level of inclusivity in it that means viewers from diverse backgrounds can finally see themselves on screen. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC “Now is finally the time when people like me are being talked about in terms that we use for ourselves, and we’re saying ‘Hey, I’m a disabled person,’ or ‘Hey I’m a Queer person,’ and these are the ways I like to talk about myself, and the ways I like to tell my story…It’s wild to see that half of the industry thinks of it as a time of censorship where I’m like ‘oh this is finally a time when I have space.’” And the star of IFC’s sketch comedy show “Sherman’s Showcase” Bashir Salahuddin said the need for diversity extends to behind the camera as well, and show writers need to have different perspectives. Source: Getty Images for AMC / Getty Images for AMC “You want to have a sense that the people [the writer’s room] are representing the people you’re talking about and are saying ‘we can make fun of ourselves about this,’” Salahuddin said. “It’s an immediate filter to make sure you’re making the right decisions and you’re not sitting here in a room full of people, making fun of another group of people who aren’t represented in that room.’”

90 Day Fiance: Happy Ever After? Season 4 Premiere Date Revealed!

Even though Larissa Lima now wishes she'd never been on 90 Day Fiance , she and Colt were one of the couples to film for Happily Ever After ? Fans have been itching to know when they'll see those two, Ashley and Jay, and others. Now, TLC has released a pair of sneak peeks for Season 4 — and the release date has leaked. 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? is returning for its fourth season. TLC promises that the series will return “this spring,” but has yet to release the official premiere date. (Spring begins on the equinox, which is March 20 this year, so it'll start some time between that date and the middle of June) Still, they have offered up not one but two sneak peeks which we have included in this post. Both feature Chantel, but only one features Pedro. When you watch them, you will see why it's probably for the best that Pedro is not part of the second scene. In the first sneak peek, Chantel's mother calls. Though Chantel puts her mom on speakerphone, Pedro does not speak. At all. Even when he is addressed directly. Chantel covers for him, claiming that he is sleeping. Last season, Pedro got into such a heated conflict with Chantel's family that the scandal made headlines everywhere. So it's understandable why Pedro was less than excited. In the second sneak peek clip, we see that it's really, truly a good thing that Pedro didn't end up accepting the invitation. Chantel's mother addresses her and says that she has a plan in case anyone starts “acting a certain way.” “You have to introduce Shocky,” Chantel's mother explains. She then pulls out a taser. Tasers, which work by running a painful and even paralysing electrical current through the victim, are self-defense tools. They are not designed to diffuse tensions at family gatherings. So, when is this combing back? After all, “spring” is a 3-month range of time, not a premiere date. 90 Day Fiance blogger John Yates reports that the release date, which has not yet been announced, was leaked to him. “I’ve just been informed that #90DayFianceHappilyEverAfter’s new season will premiere Sunday, April 28th!” Yates wrote over the weekend. This has not been confirmed … but it's probably true. Our guess? One of the stars learned the date, was warned to not announce it, and laked it to Yates while retaining plausible deniability. Why the late premiere date? Usually, this is to allow time for editing, or to suit the network's schedule. But some fans have speculated that this may be to give producers time to make major decisions about who even appears this season. Larissa Lima and Colt Johnson filmed for Happily Ever After? and so did Ashley Martson and Jay Smith. Both couples were embroiled in major off-screen scandals early this year. Usually, scandals are like catnip to reality show producers, but some fans are curious if one couple or the other was booted from the series. If you're expecting 90 Day Fiance to permaban its stars for being controversial … don't hold your breath. But we don't know what this season has to offer — aside from a taser. We have about seven weeks until Seson 4 premieres. In the mean time, we're sure to see plenty more teasers for what is to come.

Are We Surprised? Fox News Host Laughs As Guest Suggests Canadians Should Get Reparations Before African Americans

Source: Rich Polk / Getty Fox News Host Laughs With Guest About Slavery Comments Fox News being insensitive about racism? Could’ve seen that one coming. The latest controversy from the network comes following a guest who appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show and said African Americans “need to move on” from slavery because it was abolished “a century-and-a-half ago”. Mark Steyn is a cultural commentator and made these comments on Thursday, during a segment discussing 2020 presidential candidates who are in favor of some sort of reparations for African Americans. During his rant on the topic, Steyn said: “Slavery was abolished a century and a half ago, nobody alive today has a grandparent who was a slave, and in that sense I think you reach a point where, you know, you need to move on. “The reparations thing, eventually, as the decades go by, becomes ridiculous,” he continued. Not stopping there, Steyn then went on to compare the experience of Black people in America to Canadians like himself–who he claimed also deserve reparations on the basis that if “[America] hadn’t had the revolution, the whole continent would now be Canada”. As Steyn spoke, comparing the hardships faced by African Americans to Canadians, the host responded by interjecting a “yeah” before laughing along with the guest’s comments. The conversation then went on to specifically address 2020 contender Senator Kamala Harris, who supports the idea of reparations for African Americans. The segment ended with Steyn contending that Harris’s “own experience is entirely apart from the African-American slave experience,” and that she is getting involved in “identity politics,” which Carlson quickly agreed with. Unsurprisingly, once the clip of this conversation surfaced online, it was met with tons of backlash on social media. Two white privileged men discuss reparations. Was this 1867? — Jennifer Hill (@sublimejah) February 22, 2019 Man, that bothers me! Completely ignores the fact that for some people, this is a part of their family history. Not to mention the civil rights movements of the 60s, which wasn't long ago. People grandparents lived it. — Trinity the Cat (@Trinitythecat) February 22, 2019 Couldn't Tucker just wear his hood on air? We wouldn't have to see his “I'm listening face” and it would keep hair and makeup from having to touch him. — Smoking Duck (@ScottyBeHotty) February 22, 2019 This latest controversy from the Fox News host comes after previous comments he’d made that cost him a significant portion of his advertisers. In December, Carlson–who is friends with Donald Trump–said that  immigration makes America “dirtier” . The comment was rightfully met with widespread backlash and resulted in more than 20 sponsors pulling their advertisements from the primetime show.

Listen To Black Women| Why Are Black Women Being Left Out Of The Mass Incarceration Conversation?

Today we’re going to talk about a topic that impacts more women and families than we think. When we think about the injustices in prison industrial system, Black men are often the first, and only topic of discussion. But Black women are suffering too—and not just because her ‘boo’ is locked up. March is women’s month, and here at LTBW we really wanted to think about how we can best support all Black women. That lead us to think about a population we don’t often discuss—in fact, no one really talks about them—Black women in prison! According the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, Black men accounted for 37 percent of the total prison population—we talk about this a lot. But Black women account for about 22 percent! Regret In Your Tweets: BET Apologizes To Nicki Minaj For Shady Grammy Tweet

Source: Splash News / Splash News After getting dragged on social media all day long and having the entire Young Money squad pull out of their BET Experience weekend, the network has issued an apology to Nicki Minaj for their spicy Grammy night tweet. Following Cardi B ‘s win for Best Rap Album on Sunday, BET tweeted that the “Hard White” rapper was “being dragged by her lacefront.” Nicki found the tweet offensive and responded by announcing that her and the rest of the YM camp will not be performing at the BET Experience Weekend in June. Young Money will no longer be apart of the BET Experience or award show. Summer Tour dates dropping soon — QUEEN (@NICKIMINAJ) February 11, 2019 The network followed up with an apology saying: BET loves Nicki Minaj. We have supported her from the very beginning of her career and will continue to do so moving forward. Nicki has paved the way for so many performers and has solidified her place as one of the most powerful figures in the music industry. Unfortunately the respect we have for Nicki was violated by this post that should never have been written. They added: The post does not reflect how we feel about Nicki. And further does not reflect our company values. We deeply apologize for the hurt, disappointment and confusion that this post has caused. We are committed to doing everything we can to address the situation. We are also conducting an internal audit to assure these types of posts are not published again. We have apologized to Nicki and her team. We understand Nicki’s position and look forward to continuing our dialogue with her. Finally, we apologize to all of her fans. This should have never happened.” Can’t wait to hear what Onika has to say about all this on the next episode of Queen Radio. Y’all listening?

#Free21Savage: 21 Savage Inhumanely Locked In ICE Cell 23 Hours Per Day, Please Sign Petition For His Release

Source: Prince Williams / Getty Sign The Petition To Help Free 21 Savage From ICE Custody 21 Savage has become a victim of this anti-immigrant political climate helmed by the Trump administration. If you listened to the #SOTU address last night then you know that the idea of 21 being deported from America would make these Republican a$$holes smile like the Grinch stealing Christmas. Despite the shameless people on Twitter who think this is hilarious, there are people who are treating this situation with the seriousness it deserves. The folks at Since The 80s, Black Lives Matter, Color of Change, BAJI (Black Alliance For Just Immigration), Define American, UndocuBlack Network have launched a petition directed at ICE Field Office Director, Sean Gallagher for the immediate release of the Atlanta father, son, friend and superstar. They are asking for 300,000 signatures and they are sitting on 221,776 at the time of this writing. We ask, beg, and implore each and every one of you to sign this petition and do all you can to make your voice heard on behalf of Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph. 21’s manager Meezy recently tweeted that he spoke to Savage on the phone and was told that the rapper is being locked down for 23 and 1, which means only ONE hour outside of his cell per day. They are clearly trying to break him, but we’re not going to let that happen. Go to OrganizeFor to sign the petition. Dead the corny “jokes” and do something good with your life.

For The Kids: Bounce & Scripps Howard Foundation Kick Off National Reading Day With Book Fair In Atlanta

Bounce & Scripps Howard Foundation Kick Off National Reading Day With Book Fair Source: Bounce / Bounce On Wednesday,  Bounce  television network and the  Scripps Howard Foundation  kicked off  National Reading Day  with a  Scholastic Book Fair  rally at  Heritage Academy Elementary School  in Atlanta.  Bounce General Manager  Cheryle Harrison  was on hand to make a few celebratory remarks and took time to read the book  I Am Enough , written by actress Grace Byers.  Clifford, The Big Red Dog , also stopped by to say hello to the students and get them excited for their books. Source: Bounce / Bounce The Book Fair is a part of the Scripps Howard Foundation’s annual “ If You Give a Child a Book… ” literacy campaign that has distributed more than 180,000 books to children in three years. The campaign is a partnership of the Scripps Howard Foundation, employees of The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ: SSP) and members of the Scripps family. It receives donations from Scripps employees and matching dollars from the Foundation and family.   Bounce, part of The E.W. Scripps Company, raised enough money for “If You Give a Child a Book…”  to earn a book fair for students in the network’s hometown, with Heritage Academy, a Title 1 elementary school in the Atlanta Public School system, being selected for the event. The funds raised by Bounce – which the Foundation matched – went toward the purchase of books for the fair, where over 1,000 free books were given to Heritage Academy’s K-5 students. The books were purchased at a discount through a partnership with  Scholastic  Book Fairs .
