We have children. We are big on family and our kids come first. That is their father. Bossip: So, it has been a non-Hollywood marriage then? Shante: Yes. With more downs than ups… but you can’t cry over spilled milk. Bossip: How do you feel about being one of the very few successful black families in Hollywood? Shante: It feels great. You get a lot of perks. I never thought this would be my life… it feels good. I do what I want and go where I want. Able to put my kids through school. I take care of my family… my mom and my sister. The hating part is where I stick with my family. Other than that I love… my… life.
