Angela Bassett Joins Black Panther The cast of Black Panther has just gotten bigger, better and BLACKER! Legendary actress Angela Bassett has joined the cast of ‘Black Panther’ as the main character’s mother reports Variety : Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, Lupita Nyong’o and “The Walking Dead’s” Danai Gurira are also part of the ensemble cast. “Creed” helmer Ryan Coogler will direct. Rihanna Appears In Teaser For New Sci-Fi Film Rihanna is keeping those film roles coming. Entertainment weekly gave us a first look at Rih in the first few moments of what appears to be a burlesque dance in a snippet from upcoming 2017 French science fiction action film, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets . No official trailer has been released yet, and not much is known about Rih’s character, but the songstress stars opposite Cara Delevingne, Ethan Hawke, John Goodman, and Dane DeHaan in the film, based on French science fiction comics series Valérian and Laureline . Michel’le’s “Surviving Compton” Biopic Reactions Last night marked the premiere of Michel’le’s “Surviving Compton” biopic, where the songstress detailed her Ruthless Records singing career and her troubled relationships with Dr. Dre and Suge Knight. Viewers were horrified by the graphic violence in the Michel’le narrated movie and Dre became a trending topic after he was shown threatening, and then eventually abusing the singer even doing so while she slept. Dre’s now being called a “woman beater”… I guess Dr. Dre can go ahead &file that lawsuit.
