As Hurricane Irene spins north, a lone figure stands in the surf of the Chesapeake Bay near the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in Virginia Beach, Va., Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge (US 50/301) was closed about 7:35 p.m. Saturday as a result of severe winds and unsafe driving conditions due to Hurricane Irene.
