Verne Troyer is Hopefully in a "Better Place," Mike Myers Says

Over the past few hours, many people who knew Verne Troyer well have reacted to the sad news of his passing. As previously reported, Troyer died on Saturday at the age of 49. The tragic development came mere days after many outlets also reported that Troyer had been hospitalized due to excessive drinking and what many believe had been a suicide attempt. No cause of death had been revealed at the time of this writing. Of all the tributes posted on Troyer’s honor, however, the most noteworthy and heartbreaking comes from Mike Myers. The 54-year old co-starred with Troyer in the Austin Powers franchise, portraying Dr. Evil to Troyer’s Mini-Me. It was the role for which Troyer would forever be best known. “Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him,” Myers said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly on Saturday. He added: “It is a sad day, but I hope he is in a better place. He will be greatly missed. Troyer’s major acting break came in 1999 due to the role of Mini-Me in Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me. He reprised this role in the 2002 sequel, Austin Powers in Goldmember. The actor had reportedly battled alcoholism for years and had checked into rehab on several occasions. Alas, he never received the help he so badly needed. Said Troyer’s family in a statement on Saturday afternoon: “It is with great sadness and incredibly heavy hearts to write that Verne passed away today. Verne was an extremely caring individual. “He wanted to make everyone smile, be happy, and laugh. Anybody in need, he would help to any extent possible.” On April 2, Troyer – who was born with achondroplasia dwarfism and listed at 2’8″ – was rushed to the hospital for a “reported poisoning.” The Los Angeles City Fire Department confirmed to People Magazine that they were called to the actor’s North Hollywood home and that Troyer was “extremely upset, drunk and suicidal” at the scene. We expect more to be revealed about his cause of death in the days ahead. For now, a statement on Troyer’s Instagram page concludes as follows: During this recent time of adversity he was baptized while surrounded by his family. The family appreciates that they have this time to grieve privately. Depression and Suicide are very serious issues. You never know what kind of battle someone is going through inside. Be kind to one another. And always know, it’s never too late to reach out to someone for help. Over the past few years, Troyer became known for his appearances in reality television. While it’s been reported that Angelina Jolie is pissed that Brad Pitt is dating Neri Oxman , details on how she responded the news have been scarce. Until now. A new report describes how Angelina was so overcome with distress upon the news that she allegedly collapsed . Star Magazine has an explosive, incredible report about how Angelina Jolie allegedly responded to the news that Brad is dating a brilliant professor. Their source claims that Angelina “flew into such a rage that she collapsed.” Specifically, they say that she started to respond with a more outward display of her frustration. “She was ranting one minute.” But there was a sudden change. “And then the next, she just sort of crumpled.” That certainly sounds dramatic! The report goes on. “Angie can’t stand anyone who’s smarter and prettier than her.” (Fortunately, there’s no such person who matches that description) Apparently, she finds it “galling that Brad has managed to keep his connection Neri hush-hush for months.” The source says that Angelina has been viewing this as a race. “Angie is very jealous and competitive, and she wanted to be the first one to start a hot new relationship.” So, in her world, she would allegedly see this as a defeat. “If it turns out that Brad beat her to the punch, it could be humiliating.” The source speaks about where Brad is these days. “Brad has been ready for a new relationship for a while now.” This source says that his current lady love is perfect for him. “And Neri is just the sort of woman he needs.” Neri is a professor at the MIT Media Lab. She leads the esteemed university’s Media Matter research group. She is also an architect and a designer. Many have suggested that Brad has found his “Amal Clooney” in her, because she’s smart and she challenges him and, in many ways, her career path is more impressive than his. Some have called this report on Angelina’s response into question. The dubious dramatics and alleged jealousy aside, Angelina actually has been linked with someone. And we don’t mean those rumors about Angelina having a revenge-bang with Justin Theroux . In March, Entertainment Tonight reported that Angelina was seen with an “older-looking man who is a real estate agent.” So it’s hard to see how Brad could have won the race to find someone new. If that’s even something that concerns Angelina. It was, after all, Angelina who broke things off with Brad. And, lest we forget, reported him for the FBI, accusing him of child-abuse. None of us know what happened on that plane, but there are many who once admired the notoriously handsome actor who have lost all respect for him. And it seems that Angelina feels the same way. Does she really care that much about what her ex is up to? We hope not. Angelina Jolie is an accomplished actress, admired political activist, and she’s done work with the United Nations. She is better than the petty, vindictive image that some paint of her in recent months.

Tristan Thompson: The REAL Reason He’s Been Benched by the Cavs!

FACT :  Tristan Thompson cheated on Khloe Kardashian will multiple women. FACT : Tristan Thompson did not play any meaningful minutes for the Cleveland Cavaliers in their first two playoff games since news of this scandal broke. RUMOR : Fact number-two is a direct result of fact number-one. You’ve likely read this rumor all over the Internet, haven’t you? Multiple celebrity gossip websites out there are trying to allege that Cleveland Head Coach Tyronn Lue has determined that either: 1. Thompson has become so much of a distraction, due to his off-the-court behavior, that he would negatively effect the team on the court . 2. Thompson does not deserve to see any playing time as punishment for stepping out on at least two occasions on his baby mama. But are either of these statements true? Would LeBron James actually risk a shot at his fourth NBA title because a teammate slept with a few Instagram models? The truth is that Thompson only averaged 20.2 minutes per game this season, about seven-and-a-half minutes fewer per game than his career average. He lost his spot in the starting lineup before the opening game even tipped off, as Coach Lue decided to start Kevin Love at center in order to optimize the offensive spacing on the court. Thompson never seemed to recover from the slight. He averaged a career-low 5.8 points per game in 2017-2018 and essentially tied for a career low by only averaging 6.6 rebounds per game. Moreover, Cleveland made-over its roster almost entirely at the February trade deadline, acquiring four new players, including Larry Nance Jr. Nance is a younger and more athletic version of Thompson, playing basically the same position, but doing so with more energy and with a higher shot-blocking rate. In other words: Thompson saw his minutes decline throughout the season, and then saw them take a precipitous drop once Nance Jr. joined the team. The power forward only played 15 combined minutes in the third-to-last and second-to-last games of the season, prior to racking up nearly 30 minutes in the final regular season contest… … only to end the game with plus/minus of -24. Against the awful New York Knicks, no less! Thompson is simply an anachronistic basketball player. Yes, he signed a five-year, $82 million contract as recently as 2015, but the league since then has emphasized three-point shooting and spacing on offense. Thompson plays for a team that employs arguably the best driver and best passer in basketball. Someone who cannot shoot from outside three feet simply clogs the lane for James, who is at his most unstoppable when his squad spreads the floor and gives him many options to whom he can pass. The game has mostly passed Thompson by. This may explain why he didn’t care about partying all night in early April with some random side piece, allegedly taking her back to his hotel room very early in the morning to have unprotected sex . If he’s not gonna see any action between the lines that week, why not stay awake for awhile and see some action between the sheets, right? With the Cavs playing the Pacers, who start Myles Turner at center, we doubt we’ll see much of Thompson at all this series. Turner shot over 35% from three-point range this season and would drag Thompson away from the basket, mitigating Tristan’s one supposed skill: rebounding. And if Thompson isn’t camped out under the basket boxing out opposing players, there’s really no point in having him on the court. In closing, Tristan Thompson may be riding two to five side pieces these days, but that’s not why he’s riding the pine for Cleveland. Brad Pitt and Neri Oxman Can’t Stay Away From Each Other

It has been widely reported that Brad Pitt is dating Neri Oxman , an architect and MIT professor. However, the two halves of this unlikely pairing live on opposite coasts. A source is revealing how they keep their budding romance going. Us Weekly reports on how Brad and Neri keep their relationship afloat while living separately and trying (but failing) to keep things a secret. “They continue to talk on the phone several times a day and are very infatuated with each other.” Several times a day … would mean that they can only go a few hours at a time without hearing each other’s voices. That’s incredibly sweet. Especially since their relationship hasn’t been smooth sailing. “Their busy schedules are going to be a huge challenge.” Obviously, neither of them can just uproot their lives. “Because Neri isn’t going to give up her life in Cambridge or her job at MIT for anyone.” Of course not. Other people might be starstruck, but that’s one of the most prestigious positions that a person could hold. “Even Brad Pitt.” At the moment, sources report that they don’t know where their relationship is headed. “They are going to have fun and see where it goes.” And there’s a good reason for which they’ve tried to maintain this air of secrecy. “Neri is extremely uncomfortable with all of the media attention.” Yeah, this is really pushing her into the spotlight. “And feels that her personal life has now come under a microscope.” Sadly, that’s how it works. “Brad feels badly about this of course, but he is powerless to stop it.” It really sounds like Brad is in love with Neri . “Brad’s absolutely smitten by her.” Some have said that he’s found his “Amal Clooney,” which … does sort of sound like it’s reducing women by types. In this case “smart.” “Their chemistry is off the charts.” Which apparently led them to begin a relationship without delay. “They got romantically involved almost right away.” Brad sat in on her lecture, and he was apparently entranced by her line of 3-D printed chaise lounges. No, you did not misread that. For Neri’s sake, he’s committed to trying to keep things on the down low. “He’s been going to great lengths to make sure he’s not spotted by prying eyes.” Despite the veil of secrecy and their very separate lives, they’ve reportedly made time for each other. “Brad and Neri have traveled together internationally on several occasions.” Including a trip to South Africa, where Neri was a guest speaker — because, remember, she’s a professor. That said, there are some nay-sayers who claim that these two aren’t dating. A source told Us Weekly : This source claimed that “this is solely a professional relationship [and] there’s nothing more to it as of now.” That statement has been referred to as a cover-up. “They are very much a couple.” It’s possible that a friend of Brad’s (or Neri’s) was simply being loyal and refusing to confirm Brad’s relationship. We don’t really know. But we think that it’s at least safe to say that those rumors of Jennifer Aniston being pregnant with Brad’s baby are not panning out. Probably. Just last summer,  Ryan Edwards and Mackenzie Standifer got married in one of the most depressng ceremonies ever captured on video. It seemed like the couple was starting at rock bottom, but remarkably, it's been all downhill ever since. In the past month, Ryan has been arrested ; he's been accused of making violent threats, and he's been caught cheating on Mackenzie. Through it all, he and Standifer have kept up appearances, but it now looks as though they're on the verge of self-destruction. 1. The Troubled Couple Ryan and Mackenzie were never exactly a match made in heaven. In fact, their marriage seemed doomed from the start. 2. Ryan Vieth: Son of Tamra Judge Feuds With Baby Mama!

As fans of The Real Housewives of Orange County remember from when Tamra Judge was publicly slammed by her estranged daughter , Tamra has used her children to further her storylines before. But her son Ryan Vieth is showing that he doesn’t need his mother’s help to stir up drama. He can do that just fine on his own. Now, he’s ignited a firestorm feud with his baby mama, Sarah Rodriguez. Ryan Vieth’s relationship with Sarah Rodriguez has been over for ages, but they’ll always be connected by their daughter, Ava. But for whatever reason, Ryan has chosen to antagonize the mother of Tamra Judge’s only grandchild . They’ve had their spats in the past. (Actually, Ryan was arrested for domestic violence in 2015, though the charges were eventually dropped … so it sounds like things have gotten a lot worse than spats) And they’ve feuded on Instagram after their split. This time, things are starting off with what we only wish were a promo for Amazon’s upcoming billion-dollar Lord of the Rings series. “Anyone want to buy my old wedding ring, I have no need for this,” he writes. As you can imagine, this was interpreted by many as a transparent attempt to antagonize and malign his ex. He told a follower “sold!” after the follower offered him $5 for it. He would later go on to explain: “Just figured I’d post something interesting today.” He also reminded followers that he and Sarah never actually married. Which is not really an explanation. Would you care to guess how well-received his post was by his ex? Sarah Jane Rodriguez did not mince words. “Ryan wants to officially announce that he is looking for his next Instagram victim!!” Oh wow! She then proceeds to warn others away from repeating her past mistakes. “As soon as he is done pretending he is something he is not and sucking you in.” That’s ominous. And there’s a tag to go with that sense of foreboding. “It will be too late. #beware” Rodriguez explains herself: “I have been working my ass off to make things good for Ava.” Of course she has. She’s her mom. “But this is not ok to publicly humiliate someone like this.” Like everyone else, she interpreted the wedding ring post as a slight against her. “No one will ever know the sacrifices I made for this person only to be s–t on over and over.” In the past, Rodriguez has opened up about her feuds with Ryan by sharing the sorts of messages that he sends her, as she did with this image last November. (Yikes) Rodriguez later deleted her post decrying Vieth’s “wedding ring” auction, and shared a message that reads: “When you have a bad day, a really bad day, try to treat the world better than it treated you.” She added her own caption to that sage advice, writing: “Okay, let’s start over.” Sometimes, that’s the best choice that a person can make. We do have to wonder, however, if Tamra Judge is going to work this conflict into her own life. In the past, Rodriguez has accused Vieth of relying heavily upon his mother for emotional support. So he probably doesn’t mind contributing to her reality career the way that some of her other children do.

Bruno Sammartino Dies; WWE Legend Was 82

The wrestling world is in mourning today. Bruno Sammartino, one of the most respected and revered WWE stars of all-time, died on Wednesday morning at his home in Pittsburgh. He was 82 years old. Known as “The Italian Superman,” Sammartino won the WWE Championship in a match against Buddy Rogers in Madison Square Garden in 1963… … and then held the belt for eight straight years, easily the longest reign in the company’s history. To be exact, he was champion for 4,040 days in a row. He got his start in what was then known as the WWWF, an organization run by Vince McMahon Sr. But Sammartino went on to do color commentary and make plenty of on-camera appearances for the WWF (now the WWE) throughout wrestling’s explosion into the mainstream in the 1980s. The cause of death is unknown at this time. Sammartino was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the 2013 class after turning down previous offers to do so, according to ESPN. Why did he wait to long to accept this honor? Because he first insisted on seeing changes made in the organization, such as performing drug tests on athletes and the end of the frequent use of profanity. “Being inducted into the Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden is the biggest thing in my life,” Sammartino told ESPN years ago, adding: “Anytime that people feel that you accomplished enough to enter into a Hall of Fame, of course this is a tremendous, tremendous thrill for me.” Sammartino was actually inducted at the time by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bruno is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Carol, along with three children. He also leaves behind a wrestling legacy few can match, as evidenced by the messages that have come pouring in via social media since news of his death went viral. Kim Zolciak Threatens to Sue; NeNe Leakes DARES Her to Try!

Even though Kim Zolciak is leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta , it doesn’t look like her feud with NeNe Leakes has run its course just yet. In fact, Kim has written about NeNe, mentioning that she could sue her if she were so inclined. NeNe is clapping back and essentially daring Kim to try it. Kim Zolciak has taken to Instagram to discuss her conflict with her erstwhile costar. “I am so sorry for what has happened @neneleakes.” It starts off as an apology … but quickly changes tone. “We both know the truth, we both know that if I wanted to, I could have a law suit.” And she goes into all of the reasons that she believes that she has grounds to sue NeNe. “For the lies you have spewed, tweeting out fake texts, implying I am racist, attacking me physically, claiming my daughter tweeted negative about you and your home.” That is, of course, a reference to the explosive #RoachGate feud . Kim Zolciak’s statement continues. “We both know these are lies. I have reacted to it publicly and for that I am sorry. I should have risen above it.” And yet she seems to be continuing to react publicly. But hey, that is arguably part of the job of a reality star. “I personally will no longer engage with you on social media and perpetuate the hate. I am asking you to do the same.” We have NeNe’s next engagement on social media below. “We are grown women with families. Enough is enough. I want us to move on.” Good luck with that, Kim. “If you continue this, it will be because you are attempting to stay on the show and stay relevant and that’s on you.” NeNe, of course, was not going to let any part of that slide — particularly not the implied threat of a lawsuit. “Please file a lawsuit Chile! Like I’m begging you.” Most people don’t beg to be sued, but it sounds like NeNe is itching for a court battle. “You can never WIN when you play DIRTY so throw in the towel! I mean throw in the lips.” Another jab at Kim’s appearance, right on the heels of Marlon Wayans making a cruel White Chicks joke at Kim’s expense . “Anytime you wanna go to court, I’m happy to see you there because your lies have runneth over.” So … they both accuse each other of lying. But … are they really willing to take this Kim Zolciak vs. NeNe Leakes battle into a courtroom? Imagine spending years going through school and then law school and passing the bar and working as an attorney … only to have to participate in a lawsuit between two women, one of whom accused the other’s daughter of smuggling cockroaches in her genitals. To say nothing of what the judge would feel. How many legal professionals would be questioning how their careers had brought them to a place where they were taking part in that case? Is anyone else reminded of Joanna Krupa suing Brandi Glanville for saying that Joanna’s vagina smells bad ? It’s worth noting that Joanna actually won her case. What a time to be alive. NeNe also clapped back at Kim on Instagram, writing: “I really wanna keep it 100 but sometimes you have to just keep it bout 75! So many things happen behind the scenes that you guys just never get to know or see.” So she’s holding back due to professional and contractual obligations. “I knew working with her would be a mess and I’ve said it over & over & over again to ALL of my higher ups but what happens, i get reprimanded! I’m the bad guy!” Again, she laments that she can’t reveal what she wants to say. “I wish i could speak so much more freely but it’s best not too.” “Sometimes you just have to let people see things for themselves which is what happened here!” “I’ve been called everything in the book and painted so many different colors i have to wonder if I’m still black.” That was a cute phrase. “Kim loves to push buttons, lie, talk s–t, insult, then become a victim when she’s called out on her s–t!” That is sort of … part of the job of being a reality star, in many people’s minds. But it sounds like she’s implying that there’s some of it that goes on even behind the scenes. “Most people would love for me to be the bully but the only bully here is Kim & her plastic surgeon! Bye wax figure.” Word to the wise: don’t slam those who call you a bully and then insult someone else’s appearance in the same breath.

Harry Anderson: Mourned, Remembered by Hollywood Stars

The world of entertainment was dealt a sad blow this week when  Harry Anderson died at the age of 65. The three-time Emmy Award nominee, best known for having starred as a judge on Night Court, was found dead inside his home. It is believed he died of natural causes. Below, former co-stars and others in Hollywood remember the actor/magician and respond to the sad news of his passing… 1. Markie Post The actress, who co-starred with Anderson on Night Court for eight years, Tweeted: “I am devastated. I’ll talk about you later, Harry, but for now, I’m devastated.” 2. John Larroquette Another Night Court star chimed in: “Harry Anderson. He was wicked smart. He was wicked funny. He had a big laugh. He had a big heart. He delighted in legerdemain especially when he caused someone to scratch their head and proclaim; How the hell did you do that? And he could eat a hamster like no one I ever knew.” 3. Marsha Warfield She plays Roz on Night Court: “Oh, no! Aw man, I’m so sorry to hear this. My condolences to his family, friends, fans and everyone who loved him. Rest in peace, Harry the Hat, you were my friend.” 4. The Original Cast Warfield also Tweeted this photo of the original Night Court cast. What a funny show. 5. Gilbert Gottfried “I appeared on three episodes of “Night Court” way back when. Ran into him in N.Y. not that long ago. Always friendly. Always funny. RIP Harry Anderson.” 6. But that’s not the only way that Jinger has taken to publicly flouting the Duggars’ famously strict code of conduct. Jinger waited to get pregnant for more than a year after she got married, thus tossing out generations of family tradition. She became the first of her generation to leave the Duggars’ home state of Arkansas when she and Vuolo relocated to Laredo, Texas. There have even been rumors of Vuolo clashing with Jim Bob over major differences in religious doctrine. And now it looks as though Jim Bob may have finally become fed up with Jinger’s rebellious tendencies. As In Touch Weekly points out, eagle-eyed Duggar fans have noticed that Jim Bob and Michelle recently traveled to Texas … and there’s no indication that they took time out to visit the Vuolos in Laredo. Just last week,  Jinger and Jeremy stopped by Magnolia , a Houston food and home goods market owned by Chip and Joanna Gaines. Interestingly, Jim Bob and Michelle visited the same store just days later, but it doesn’t look as though they spent even a few hours with Jinger and Jeremy during their time in the Lone Star state, Many have already jumped to the conclusion that this is all an indication of a major rift between Jim Bob and his headstrong daughter. When Duggar women get married, it’s their husbands, not their fathers who determine the rules they’ll live by. That’s one of the reasons potential suitors are so thoroughly vetted by Jim Bob. But every so often, someone like Jeremy slips through the cracks. A pro soccer player turned baptist preacher, Jeremy no doubt impressed Jim Bob a great deal when they first met. But it wasn’t until after he and Jinger said “I do” that the extent of Jeremy’s relative liberalism was revealed, and it’s not hard to see how Jim Bob might feel threatened. In the months since Jinger started wearing pants instead of skirts, two of her sisters have followed suit, which means her rebellious spirit might be proving infectious. Sources close to the couple tell us that Jinger has essentially instructed Jinger to forget about Jim Bob’s rules . He’s even taken to the pulpit to denounce Jim Bob’s outdated ideas about “modest attire” and the “woman’s work.” But has the situation gotten so bad that Jinger and Jim Bob are no longer on speaking terms? If that’s the case, you can expect the Duggars to do their best to keep the situation a secret … but knowing the obsessive nature of their fans, the truth likely won’t remain hidden for long.
