Former NFL wide receiver Michael D. Jackson has passed away at the age of 48. Jackson divided his eight seasons in the pros between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens, and he led the league in receiving yards in 1996. After retiring from football, Jackson successfully ran for mayor of his hometown of Tangipahoa, Louisiana. Sadly, it was while he was riding his motorcycle through the streets of his beloved hometown that Jackson’s life was tragically cut short early Friday morning. Police say Jackson was riding his 2013 Kawasaki at a “high rate of speed” when he collided with a car that was backing out of a driveway. The impact of the crash was so powerful that Jackson’s motorcycle smashed through the passenger’s side door of the car and killed the driver, a 20-year-old woman. A full investigation into the accident is being conducted. Tributes to Jackson from fans, friends, and former teammates have been pouring in on social media since the moment that news of his death went public. But while he’s most famous for his career on the playing field, those who knew Jackson best say it’s his commitment to public service that they’ll remember most. In 2008, Jackson entered the political arena and served for four years as the mayor of his native Tangipahoa. “Right now, I want to set a standard,” Jackson told the press upon being elected. “I want to have that standard high enough so that whomever decides to run for this position they will feel obligated to do at least what I have done and far better — so that’s what I want to do.” He added: “I want to set a concrete floor, so we can erect a house here in my hometown.” Though his career was cut short by injury, Jackson put up impressive numbers in several seasons and played alongside some of the legends of the game. He was a teammate of Brett Favre’s during his time at Southern Mississippi University, and he played for Bill Belichick when the future Patriots legend was head coach of the Cleveland Browns. “Michael Jackson was more than a great player, he was a great man,” the Cleveland Browns tweeted. “Our thoughts are with his family and friends. For weeks now, we’ve been hearing rumors that Jinger Duggar is pregnant with her first child . Part of the reason for the speculation is that Jinger has been married to Jeremy Vuolo for six full months, which means that by Duggar standards, the couple is well overdue for a pregnancy announcement. But on top of that, Jinger has allegedly been a little sloppy in terms of hiding her forthcoming bundle of joy from fans. For starters, several recent Instagram photos seem to show Jinger sporting a baby bump . Adding fuel to the rumor fire is the fact that Jinger recently hinted at a big announcement , which many fans believe will be a confirmation that she’s expecting. The Duggars are usually cagey with this sort of news, as they like to use major life events such as courtships, weddings, and pregnancies to draw viewers to their TLC reality show. Since Counting On Season 4 is just around the corner, it makes sense that Jinger and Jeremy would hold off in order to use the increased interest in their lives to promote the show’s June 12 return. Unfortunately for the young couple, keeping secrets in 2017 is no easy feat, and it seems they may have kept the news to themselves just a bit too long: According to several media outlets, a baby shower registry created by the Vuolos and posted to the site Buy Buy Baby was discovered by fans on Monday. The registry was either a hoax or there’s another Jinger Vuolo out there somewhere. But since it was promptly deleted and there’s been no mention of it by the Duggars, we’re guessing it was the real deal. In addition to the fact that Jinger is expecting, the registry revealed that her due date is December 16, and she’s expecting a baby girl! No word on what sort of items the Vuolos requested, but now that the cat’s out of the bag, it’s a safe bet that they’ll be making their “big announcement” sooner than expected. And of course, Jinger’s pregnancy will likely play a huge role in the highly anticipated fourth season of her family’s popular reality series. Stevie is a father for, like, the 100th time, so he realized he needed to make some changes to his life. That was not the only big development on Love & Hip Hop Season 6 Episode 10 , with Momma Dee and Shirleen joining forces to find out what the heck Kirk Frost was getting up to in his private time. Watch Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta Season 6 Episode 10 Online When the episode got underway, Stevie was preparing to have Bonnie Bella at his house for the first time. His two daughters were ecstatic to meet her, but they were probably a little apprehensive because how many siblings they have out there. The daughters quizzed Stevie about whether a romance was on the horizon for him and Joseline, but he had no idea what the future held for him. As you probably know if you watched Leave It To Stevie online, Savannah was not impressed with Joseline for all of the crap she spouting on social media about her family. “I don’t mind her being my sister, but I don’t want the mother around until she apologizes to all of the girls for all of the stuff she said on social media.” While that was going down, Joc turned his attention to Treasure for opening up about his business with Tommie and Karlie. “I know that someone has been spreading my business all over the streets and I wonder who it was.” Treasure tells him “I felt like I had to tell Sina about you and Tommie because she is my friend and you claim to love her.” Joc tells Treasure “You have no right to get in my business and I can’t mix business with pleasure, so you have to go.” If that was not bad enough, Joc fired Treasure on the spot. We then switched gears to Joc, Scrappy and Stevie who were listening to some new music being recorded by someone named Gunplay. Stevie was congratulated by all of the men for becoming a father, again. When Joc opened up about all the female drama in his life, Stevie wanted to know whether Tommie was going to get hurt in the crossfire. Stevie asks “Are you smashing Tommie?” Joc says “Nope. She was using me to get back at Karlie.” Scrappy then started thinking about the future, while confirming his wedding was off. He also wanted to celebrate the momentous occasion. Scrappy says “I want to throw a bachelor bash.” Stevie says “I have a Panamanian Goddess that I’ll bring through.” Um, alright then. Scrappy then met up with Momma Dee to let her know about the wedding. She asks him “What’s going on with you and the Bam?” Scrappy says “Nothing. It’s over I am having a bachelor bash to get all my feelings out of me because I am moving on to Miami.” Momma Dee was less than impressed but knew she would be fighting a losing battle if she commented on it. Momma Dee then asked about the situation with Kirk and Rasheeda. “Rasheeda is heartbroken, and Kirk is laughing and talking about how he won’t take a DNA test.” Momma Dee says “Oh yes he will. I need to go talk to Shirleen and see what we can do about this.” Scrappy says “I would love to ask you not to do that.” Oh, the drama. What happened with the wedding?” Scrappy tells her “She got up and said There ain’t no wedding and that was all.” Treasure hunted down Joc at the party and managed to turn it around and got her job back. There is one episode remaining on Once Upon a Time season 6. And, on a related note, there is also just one episode remaining for Jennifer Morrison as a lead character on Once Upon a Time. The actress has announced she’s leaving the show. Now, one important caveat to keep in mind is this: ABC is yet to renew Once Upon a Time beyond this season. Many fans have anticipated for many weeks now that Once Upon a Time Season 6 Episode 21 (titled “The Final Battle”) will mark the conclusion of the beloved drama. And now we have an even stronger reason to believe this will be the case. Still, long-time followers of the program are reacting with sadness to Morrison’s announcement. “As I reached the end of my 6 year contract on ONCE UPON A TIME, I was faced with a significant decision,” the star wrote on Instagram this morning, adding: “ABC, Eddy Kitsis, and Adam Horowitz very generously invited me to continue as a series regular. After very careful consideration, I have decided that creatively and personally, it is time for me to move on.” Morrison has anchored the series as Emma Swan since the premiere. She concluded her statement as follows: Emma Swan is one my favorite characters that I have ever played. My 6 years on ONCE UPON A TIME has changed my life in the most beautiful ways. I am absolutely blown away by the passion and commitment of the Oncer fans. I am so honored to have been a central part of such a special show. I will be forever grateful to Adam, Eddy, and ABC for giving me the gift of playing Emma Swan. It’s also worth noting that simply because Morrison is leaving, this doesn’t mean she’s leaving her fan base high and dry forever. The actress promised loyal Once Upon a Time viewers that she’ll continue to make appearances at fan conventions whenever she can. “As I move on to other creative endeavors, I will continue to attend the fan conventions whenever my professional schedule allows,” she wrote. “I always look forward meeting the fans.” Finally, if ABC does , indeed, pick the show up for a seventh season, Morrison is willing to return and wrap up her character’s storyline. “If ABC Network does in fact order a season 7, I have agreed to appear in one episode, and I will most certainly continue to watch ONCE UPON A TIME,” she assured fans. “The creativity of the show runners has always inspired me, and I cannot wait to see the ways that they continue to develop and reinvent the show.” View Slideshow: 13 TV Shows Ending In 2017 NOTE to ABC: Do not pick up Once Upon a Time for Season 7.
