Lady Gaga: Confirmed for Super Bowl Halftime Show!

It’s too early to know which teams will be playing in Super Bowl 51. Perhaps the Patriots, who are somehow 3-0 despite not even having Tom Brady back from suspension? Maybe they’ll play the Vikings, who are also undefeated, thanks to a dominant defense and surprisingly not-awful Sam Bradford? We aren’t sure. But we are now sure which artist will be performing at halftime of the big game… … LADY GAGA! There has been rumors for months that Gaga would take center stage in Houston on Sunday, February 5. But the superstar herself has now confirmed the news via a Tweet on Thursday night. “It’s not an illusion. The rumors are true,” Lady Gaga wrote on social media. “This year the SUPER BOWL goes GAGA!” While we couldn’t be more excited to see Lady Gaga at the Super Bowl, it is worth noting that she wasn’t the first choice of producers. Over the summer, Adele admitted that she was offered the plum gig, but actually turned it down. For what reason? It isn’t really up her alley. “I mean, come on, that show is not about music,” the singer told her fans at a Los Angeles concert in August. “And I don’t really… I don’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no.” So Gaga was the second choice, but she’s already proven her bona fides when it comes to performing on such a giant stage. Remember her national anthem prior to the Super Bowl this past February? It was easily one of the best renditions in the history of that famous song: Lady Gaga National Anthem at Super Bowl 50 Gaga’s fourth album, Joanne, will be released on October 21. It is named after her late aunt , who died from lupus at age 19. Over the past few years, meanwhile, other Super Bowl halftime acts have included Madonna, Beyonce, Bruno Mars, Katy Perry and Coldplay. Although most people have probably forgotten that Coldplay was billed as the featured performer for the Denver-Carolina matchup this year. Lindsay Lohan Visits Syrian Refugees

When you hear the name Lindsay Lohan, “humanitarian” probably isn’t the first word that springs to mind. The past decade has been one never-ending PR nightmare for the former A-list actress, and hopes that she’d get her life and career back on track following her engagement to Egor Tarabasov dimmed after the relationship fell apart in ugly fashion. But to her credit, Lohan appears to have shifted her focus to helping others in the wake of yet another personal setback. Lohan posted the above photo to her Instagram page earlier this week, along with the following caption: “Meet the Hussein family.” “The father, Mohammad, was injured severely in Aleppo and his wife left him and her three kids after they migrated to Turkey. The lovely girl is Heya (9) and her twin brother is Leys. “The Sultanbeyli Municipality is covering their rent and kitchen expenses but the conditions of the house are very bad. “The older brother was not in the house with us because although he is 17, he had to work in order to take better care of his family. #theworldisbiggerthan5” According to Lindsay, she became especially close with the young girl, Heya. “I sniffed her hair, took her hands and held her tight,” Lindsay captioned the above pic. “I understood at that moment once again that we can do more for each other, that we should do more for each other. “And we can start by giving support to #Turkey, which did its part in this huge human tragedy called Syria by welcoming three million refugees. “We should do more, starting today.” Many have snarkily pointed out that Lindsay’s visit to Turkey comes on the heels of highly-publicized humanitarian trips by Angelina Jolie and George and Amal Clooney. But Turkey’s youth and sports deputy minister, Abdurrahim Boynukalin, who joined Lohan in her visit to the Husseins, cautions that by focusing on the PR aspect of Lindsay’s trip, we miss out on the importance of her message: “The important thing is that a Hollywood star take this matter seriously and bring it to the world stage,” Boynukalin told Associated Press reporters. He added that no reporters were contacted by Lohan’s reps prior to her visit. Regardless of whether or not Lindsay sought to benefit from the media attention surrounding her trip, the crisis in Aleppo is very real, and it demands the world’s attention. And with all of the negative headlines about Lohan that we’ve seen in recent years, the 30-year-old’s efforts to alert her fans to the dire situation in Syria is a refreshing change of pace.

Kim Kardashian Admits to Family Drama: What Did She Say?

All is not well in the land of Kardashians and Jenners. In fact, all is actually REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad if certain reports are to be believed. Specifically, we’re talking about reports that state Rob Kardashian is in a very dark place at the moment, feuding with his sisters and eating massive amounts of food. On Monday night, Rob texted something rather unusual and revealing to his 6.65 million followers: The phone number of his sibling! For real! The reality star, angry over what he believed to be a snub of his pregnant fiancee, unveiled Kylie Jenner’s phone number to the online world out of bitterness and anger. “Didn’t invite the Mother of my child to a baby shower you all were trying to throw for me? You all must have lost your damn minds,” Rob wrote after sharing the digits, adding for good measure: “I ain’t hacked either. This is Rob dog lol.” Sources have since confirmed that the phone number posted online really was that of Kylie and that she’s in the process of getting a new one. Rob Kardashian Releases Kylie Jenner Phone Numer This was the backdrop for when Kim sat down with Andy Cohen at The Girls’ Lounge dinner in New York City. In an event that took place a day after the Presidential debate, the Watch What Happens Live host asked if Kardashian was able to watch the back and forth between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. (It’s worth noting that Kim hinted last week that she may vote for Trump, only to later clarify that she’s with Clinton .) “I watched a little bit of it but I was on the phone at the same time, a little family drama,” Kim shared with the audience. “Group texting.” And?!? She’s probably waiting for this storyline to play out on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Rob & Chyna or both. But sources have told TMZ that Rob has been living apart from Blac Chyna for nearly two months. He’s eating everything in sight, having ballooned back over 300 pounds and is back to being in one of his funks. The family is concerned because Rob has done this before; he’s cut off contact with his loved ones in the past and gone on eating binges, an especially problematic issue for someone with Diabetes. What caused this apparent split from his pregnant fiancee? No one seems to know. It could be anything with these two, really. But Blac Chyna is eight months pregnant. She’s due to give birth any week now. She and Rob can’t afford to be messing around here. There’s an actual child set to enter the picture. Jinger Duggar Flips Out Over Hair Crisis Moments Before Meeting Jeremy Vuolo!

If you watch Counting On online , you know that though they still live in separate states, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo are pretty much on each other’s minds 24/7. There’s been talk of Jinger and Jeremy moving too fast , but these two clearly have no intention of slowing down. Jinger and Jeremy got engaged after just a few weeks of dating, and as this preview from tonight’s episode of Counting On reminds us, the couple is very eager to live together as man and wife:  Jinger Duggar: Curling Iron Crisis! The scene shows Jinger preparing to fly to Laredo to visit Jeremy in Texas – with her Michelle, Jessa, Ben Seewald and baby Spurgeon all along to chaperone, of course, because that’s how the Duggars roll. “Today I’m going to see Jeremy,” Jinger excitedly tells the camera. “It’s a super early morning and I’m flying from [Arkansas] and Jeremy’s coming from Laredo to meet me in Dallas at the airport and we’re all going to fly to Philly.” Though it’s an early morning flight, Jinger appears to be out of bed hours ahead of time, giddily telling Ben that she slept for “a very short time.” Speaking to the camera, Jinger admits: “It’s kind of hard to sleep when you know that within so many hours you’re going to be together again, so every time I go to see Jeremy it seems like I get very little sleep the night before.”  Jinger decides to make productive use of her sleepless hours by making her hair do that horrendous, teased ’80s thing that the Duggar women seem to love. Unfortunately, she forgot about Murphy’s Law of Hair: Anytime you’re about to see someone whom you hope to see naked, your hair will act like total dumbass and messing with it will only make things worse. “I don’t like this hair,” Jinger complains. “I grabbed the wrong curling iron, guys. What do I do? These curls look like, super tiny.” It’s not hard to see why she’s upset. Anyone familiar with the Bible will remember the passage in which Satan appears before a group of ringlet-haired harlots and informs them that tiny curls are totes his thing. Fortunately, Jinger retains her sense of humor throughout the ordeal. When Michelle Duggar asks if there’s anything she can do to help, Jinger jokes: “Uh, cry with me. No, I’m kidding. I’m not going to be so bad. I know he won’t even pay attention to my hair. It’s a girl thing.”  Sure she briefly considers missing her flight so that she can continue to fuss with her hair, but eventually cooler heads prevail. Jose Fernandez: Tragic Details of Star Pitcher’s Final Hours Emerge

Early on the morning of September 25,  Miami Marlins pitching phenom Jose Fernandez was killed in a boating accident . The two-time MLB All-Star and former National League rookie of the year was just 24 years old. In their first game back following Fernandez’s tragic passing, the Marlins paid loving tribute to Fernandez, with the entire team wearing his jersey. Fernandez’s friend and teammate Dee Gordon led off the game with a home run – his first in 358 days – and welled up with tears as he rounded the bases. Two friends of Fernandez’s, Eddy Rivero and Emilio Macias, were also killed when Fernandez’s 32-foot fishing boat crashed into a jetty off the coast of Miami Beach. Now, details about what brought all three men our on that fateful late-night excursion are beginning to emerge thanks to information provided by family and friends. According to several of his teammates was eager to head out on the water due to a fight with his pregnant girlfriend. Aware of his fragile emotional state, friends say they cautioned him to be careful. “That night I told him, ‘Don’t go out,’” outfielder Marcell Ozuna told the Miami Herald . “Everybody knew he was crazy about that boat and loved being out on the water. I told him I couldn’t go out that night because I had the kids and my wife waiting for me.” Fernandez assured Ozuna that all would be well and asked his friend to help make sure he made it to the ballpark on time the following morning: “He told me if I didn’t hear from him by 10 a.m. (Sunday) to call him and wake him up so he could get back to the ballpark on time for the game,” Ozuna said “I told him, ‘Yeah no problem. I’ll call you.’ I woke up Sunday and that’s when I found out. I cried and cried.” Will Bernal, a close friend of Rivero’s posted the above photo, along with his and Rivero’s final text message exchange, on his Instagram page. As you can see, Bernal also had concerns about the planned boating trip. He captioned the photo: “Our last phone conversation and text messages last night. I feel sick to my stomach. “Everyone is talking about Jose Fernandez but you died trying to be there for him and be a good friend. This doesn’t sit with me well. “I can’t get over this nightmare. I already miss you and our daily conversations. You died being a great friend. “I feel guilty that I didn’t do a better job of trying to convince you not get on that boat. You told me just so I know in case something happens. You had a gut feeling and that is killing me. Audrina Patridge Breastfeeds Baby Daughter In New Picture

Audrina Patridge has moved on from her days on The Hills .  The 31-year-old gave birth to her first child with Corey Bohan three months ago.  The new addition to the family is named Kirra.  Audrina was a prominent figure on MTV’s The Hills . So much so that she actually appeared in more episodes than any other cast member.  Throughout her time on the show, she clashed with many of the stars.  It made for great TV, but she has now moved on to focus on her family.  There’s only so many times you can argue with your besties on television before it gets too much.  View Slideshow: 10 Best Moments from The Hills Patridge and Corey have been together for five years and are planning to get hitched.  Thus far, he seems to be a much better guy than Justin Bobby.  That wouldn’t be hard. The latest glimpse we got of Kirra was when Audrina’s sister, Casey took a sneaky picture of Audrina breast-feeding her.  Usually people HATE when people take sneaky pictures of them.  However, it seems that Audrina actually enjoyed it.  It was a great mother-daughter moment.  Did Audrina know that Casey was taking the picture? We’re not quite sure.  Audrina opened up about her daughter in a recent blog post and she made it perfectly clear that she’s a great mother.  “We are so incredibly lucky! Kirra is the happiest, most beautiful baby with a constant smile and lots of goo-ing and gaa-ing!” she wrote on August 24. “She loves giving Corey and I the biggest smiles, but I can’t wait until she giggles the first time — right now she gives lot of expressions but no noise.” “She sleeps 6-7 hours a night (only waking up once or twice) and is pretty laid-back (unless of course she’s hungry, has to burp, needs a diaper change or gets restless!).” With Kirra now getting grown up, Audrina and Corey are focusing on their upcoming wedding.  The wedding will not have any of Audrina’s former pals from The Hills .  Maybe The Hills was faker than we first thought and no one there were really friends.  Audrina revealed the lack of peeps from The Hills in Fit Pregnancy and Baby’s July issue.  “As far as friends go, we only invited the ones who’ve been there for us in the past year and who will continue to be there for us for the next 30.” “So, no one from The Hills made the cut. If we were doing a really big wedding, I’d invite them, but we’re keeping it intimate.” That’s got to sting a little for the people who consider her as friend from the show.  What do you think about all of this? Patricia Arquette Prays for Sister to Be Reincarnated

The world lost a talented actress and a transgender pioneer earlier this month. On September 11, Alexis Arquette died at the age of 47. And while the world mourned a star who had appeared in such films as Pulp Fiction, Patricia Arquette simple mourned a family member. And she continues to do so today. The Oscar-winning actress took to Twitter on Sunday, September 25 to remember Alexis, writing the following message to followers Or, to be more accurate, to Alexis herself… “If there is reincarnation I pray to God that you come back Lex into a family that loves you as much as we do. Thank you all for your condolences and words of support and prayers for our family.” As previously reported in sad detail, Alexis Arquette died at the age of 47 on September 11. The passing was confirmed at the time by brother Richmond Arquette. “Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am,” he wrote on Facebook back then. An outpouring of support and condolences quickly followed: View Slideshow: Alexis Arquette: Mourned and Honored by Hollywood Added Richmond upon making this tragic announcement: “He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. “We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie’s ‘Starman.’ As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension.” Last week, it was revealed that Arquette passed away from cardiac arrest, but also that she had been battling with HIV for 29 years.  Alexis, of course, was also related to actors  David and Rosanna Arquette. These family members released their own statement about Alexis on the day she died. “Alexis was a brilliant artist and painter, a singer, an entertainer and an actor,” the siblings wrote. “Her career was cut short, not by her passing, but by her decision to live her truth and her life as a transgender woman. Despite the fact that there are few parts for trans actors, she refused to play roles that were demeaning or stereotypical. “She was a vanguard in the fight for understanding and acceptance for all trans people.” Alexis dove more deeply into her transition in the 2007 film Alexis Arquette: She’s My Brother . She was also best known for films such as The Wedding Singer, Lords of Dogtown, Blended and the documentary Wigstock: The Movie. We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to those who knew her best.

Chelsea Houska Shares Baby Bump Selfie, Pregnancy Update

Like all of the ladies of the Teen Mom franchise, Chelsea Houska has made her share of mistakes over the years. Actually, she just made one big mistake named Adam Lind.  But it was a doozy. Anyway, she might have gotten knocked up by the lamest baby daddy in the Teen Mom franchise (which is really saying something), but Chelsea has also done more to better her situation and carve out a stable life for herself than any of cast member. These days, Chelsea is engaged to Cole De Boer and co-parenting with Lind as peacefully as possible. She’s also expecting her second child , this one (thankfully) by Cole. Chelsea has been offering regular updates to her 3.8 million Instagram followers. For the most part she gushes about how excited she is, but she’s also admitted that she’s nervous about raising a second child . Today, Houska posted the above pic to announce that she and her forthcoming bundle of joy have reached an exciting milestone. “Half way there,” Chelsea captioned the photo. “I swear my belly is growing by the minute!”  According to other posts, Chelsea is now at the 20-week mark. The baby is reportedly due in February of 2017. Despite her candidness with fans, Chelsea has yet to reveal the gender. Some fans claimed that Houska gave the gender away in a photo in which she revealed the color scheme of her new nursery, but Houska insists she stuck with gender neutral colors so as not to make any accidental reveals. She says she’ll eventually spill the beans via a photo shoot or at a gender reveal party (that will presumably be captured by TM2 cameras). Proving that they’re adulting on a level that other Teen Mom couples can only dream of, Houska and De Boer bought a house together  back in April. One of the first things they did was set up a baller nursery for the newest addition to their family. Seems like regardless of its gender, this kid will be entering a pretty awesome situation. Steven Avery: ENGAGED to Lynn Hartman!

Regardless of your feeling on the man’s guilt or innocence, if you watched the incendiary Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer you know that Steven Avery hasn’t led the easiest life. The 54-year-old Wisconsin native was falsely convicted of rape and attempted murder in 1985 at the age of 22. He served 18 years of a 32-year sentence before being exonerated on the strength of new DNA evidence. He had been free for just two years when he was arrested for the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Avery was convicted of murder in 2007, and he’s been serving time at Waupun Correctional Institute ever since. Many believe that Avery was framed by vengeful authorities who were humiliated by his exoneration and stood to suffer further embarrassment if his lawsuit against the Manitowoc County Police Department went to court. Avery’s first wife divorced him during his first stretch in prison. His fiancee at the time he was arrested for the Halbach murder left him after his conviction. There had not been much to smile about in Avery’s life, but these days, he has two bright spots on the horizon. For one thing, the documentary about his trial has attracted the interest of a new attorney, Kathleen Zellner, who is currently at work on Avery’s wrongful conviction case. On top of the hope that he’ll soon be exonerated a second time, Avery is once again engaged, this time to Las Vegas legal secretary Lynn Hartman. Zellner confirmed the engagement in a press release issued this morning: “Steven Avery’s engagement to Lynn is one bright spot in an otherwise unbelievably tragic and unfair life story,” Zellner wrote. “Cheers to both of them.” Avery himself hinted at the engagement during a recent phone interview with the Daily Mail : “She’s going to be my future wife. We’ll be laughing forever,” he said of Hartman. “I’m happy. She treats me decent, she loves me. She’s kind of spoiling me right now. I just want to be happy and enjoy my life. I think I did enough time.” Avery filed an appeal for a re-trial back in January, and these days, it’s looking as though he has ample cause to be optimistic. According to a judge’s order, Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey, will be released from prison  after serving nearly a decade behind bars. Dassey was convicted of being an accomplice in Halbach’s murder back in 2007. Video of his coerced confession is often cited by Making a Murderer fans as the most glaring evidence of police corruption in the investigation. It may be quite some time until a verdict is reached in Avery’s new trial. But if things go his way in court, he’ll have at least one person eagerly waiting for him at the prison gates.

According to a judge’s order, Avery’s nephew, Brendan Dassey, will be released from prison  after serving nearly a decade behind bars. Dassey was convicted of being an accomplice in Halbach’s murder back in 2007. Video of his coerced confession is often cited by Making a Murderer fans as the most glaring evidence of police corruption in the investigation. It may be quite some time until a verdict is reached in Avery’s new trial. But if things go his way in court, he’ll have at least one person eagerly waiting for him at the prison gates.
