Beyonce Knowles gave a staggering performance of her new song “Formation” during this year’s Super Bowl halftime that earned overwhelming praise and left most Americans bowing down in awe. Buuuuut naturally, there had to be a few sourpusses. Some folks thought her dancers’ costumes paid tribute to the Black Panthers and accused Queen Bey of “race baiting” and called the performance a “slap in the face of law enforcement.” A protest was organized for Tuesday in New York City, asking supporters to “stand together” and “tell the NFL we don’t want hate speech & racism at the Superbowl ever again!” And just how many citizens showed up to express their outrage? Two (2). There was one guy, NYC resident Ariel Kohane and a girl named April who only identified herself as a student. Oh, how embarrassing. It’s only been a few weeks since Javi Marroquin was deployed for a year of overseas duty with the US Air Force, but it seems that Kailyn Lowry has already received word that her husband will be returning home much sooner than expected. It was initially reported that Javi would be out of the country (in an undisclosed location) for at least a year, but now it seems he’ll be returning sometime in either September or October – and Kailyn is planning to welcome him back in style. Earlier this week, the 23-year-old mother of two shared a photo of a reservation at a Disney World resort. Now, Radar Online is reporting that the trip will serve as a welcome home to Javi . “It’s for when Javi comes home,” a source tells the website. “He comes home way before they go.” “It’s hard for Kail, but I wouldn’t say she’s sad. They’ve been through this before. It doesn’t make it any easier on her, but she understands this is part of his job and how he provides for their family.” As recently as last month, it was widely rumored that Kailyn and Javi planned to breakup when he deployed, but now seems clear the couple is still going strong. Nelly Furtado may want to make like a bird right about now. She may want to just get up and fly away. The Canadian-born singer had the honor on Sunday night of singing her country's national anthem prior to the NBA All-Star game, walking up to midcourt, taking a microphone… and totally butchering her rendition of “Oh, Canada.” Remember Lady Gaga's Star-Spangled Banner performance at Super Bowl 50 the weekend before? This was just like that. Except the total opposite in how it was received by the viewing public. The artist chose to perform a far more melodic version of the song than most are used to, accompanied by a single flute throughout… which probably hurt her new more than it helped in the end. Those in attendance in Toronto cheered, of course, but those behind their computers did not. “O'Canada is an awesome song. No need to change the notes,” wrote one Twitter user, while another shared a photo of Klay Thompson’s ear bleeding and wrote that the shooting guard had just listed to Furtado sing. A local sports reporter, Erin Hawksworth, meanwhile, sadly summed up the feelings of many listeners by writing: “As a Canadian, I am embarrassed by what Nelly Furtado just did. On Valentine’s Day, Rob Kardashian showered Blac Chyna with presents , but sources say she’s given him something far more valuable: a renewed sense of purpose. You might remember that before he became the reclusive Kardashian, Rob was designing a line of high-end socks for men. Hey, everyone needs a storyline for their reality show career goals, right? Rob kinda got away from the sock game around the time he decided to devote his life to drinking, smoking pot and playing video games , but apparently, Blac has inspired him to get back in the game in a big way. Not only is Blac advertising for Rob’s socks the best way she knows how (with her ass), she’s also inspired him to expand hs Arthur George collection into a fashion line. According to TMZ, Rob has filed legal documents to expand production and start designing belts, coats, dresses, headwear, jackets, tuxedos and underwear. Yes, like Blac Chyna, you’ll soon be able to have Rob Kardashian all over your entire body. Rob filed the papers just a few days after the world learned he was hooking up with Blac, so it seems she’s at least partially responsible for his return to the fashion world. Obviously, it remains to be seen if the venture will be successful, but Rob’s family is reportedly thrilled that he’s getting back into the game. This relationship isn’t such a bad thing after all.
On February 10, The Hollywood Gossip published an article claiming that there was reason to believe that Johnny Depp may have become romantically involved with his wife, Amber Heard, while he was still involved with longtime partner Vanessa Paradis. There is no factual basis to this claim. We regret the error, and we would like to issue our sincerest apologies to Mr. Depp, Ms. Heard, and Ms. Paradis. The speculation in the article was based on comments that Mr. Depp made in a February 5 interview with People magazine in which he described meeting Ms. Heard on the set of the 2011 Hunter S. Thompson adaptation, The Rum Diary . We misinterpreted his comments and arrived at the inaccurate conclusion that he and Heard began dating before he had separated from Paradis. In truth, Depp has stated that his romantic relationship with Heard began not on set, but rather during the film’s press tour, at which time, he had already separated from Paradis. We also commented that Depp may want to steer clear of future projects co-starring young blonde women, and we now realize that the remark was in poor taste. In summation, there is no reason to believe Mr. Depp is guilty of any infidelity in his current or past relationships, and we apologize for stating otherwise.
It’s only been a month since Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna became a couple, and their relationship cycle seems to be moving faster than a category 5 hurricane. They’ve reportedly moved in together, and engagement rumors started circling earlier this week after Blac flaunted a diamond ring on her finger and posted a pic of Rob to Instagram, writing in the caption, “Missing Bae” along with a diamond ring emoji. But is the decline of this relationship nearing as fast as its ascent? We gotta wonder, because Rob just posted this meme to Instagram: Is he talking smack about Blac? ALREADY?? And what’s with the cry face emojis? Up until now, Rob has expressed only positive sentiments about his new lady love. Many skeptics initially believed their union was nothing more than a play by both parties to get back at Rob’s family, but sources close to the sock designer have claimed that it’s a real relationship and he “adores” her. Rob has been known to throw subtle shade on social media without clarification, leaving fans scratching their heads over what he’s really trying to say. But there’s only one person we know of who he’s sleeping with, so it certainly seems as though his target is clear. Perhaps Rob is feeling insecure after sources claim Blac is just using him to get attention . Or maybe he’s a little jelly that Drake wants to tap Blac ass . While many celebs were attending Kanye West’s fashion show and album reveal in New York, Yeezy’s friend Beyonce was glamming it up with Mariah Carey at the HeartView Global Foundation benefit in LA. The gal pals were positively glowing in a photo Mariah posted to Twitter, who tweeted, “Two girls, one cause.” Bey slayed in a white gown adorned with a shoulder-hugging cape and Mariah rocked a nude-colored, sparkly lace dress that flaunted her famous curves. And yes, you can catch a glimpse of Mariah’s much-talked about 35 carat engagement ring, which may or may not have required its own seat at the benefit. Both ladies have had quite the year so far. Beyonce made many a headline early in the week when she basically won the Super Bowl with her jaw-dropping halftime performance of “Formation” (even though a few bellyachers had to be total sour pusses about it). Three weeks ago, Mariah got engaged to billionaire James Packer , who presented her with the aforementioned diamond boulder that’s likely giving her left bicep muscles a killer workout. The HeartView Global Foundation aims to combat heart disease by promoting a heart-healthy, plant-based diet. Both Beyonce and Mariah have both followed vegetarian/vegan diets in the past.

In the following video, the Oscar-winning actress pledges $2 million to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Kentucky. This generous gift was revealed at a press conference held at the Louisville medical center regarding the facility's plans to redevelop its heart center. The donation will be used for this purpose and also to build a new cardiac ICU. “I’m excited to announce we will be establishing the Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Kosair Children’s Hospital,” Lawrence says in the following video message. “As part of my effort to help these children and caregivers, I challenge the entire community to get behind this cause and help match my gift by raising an additional $2 million to support all of these brave and inspiring children.” Last December, Lawrence (a Kentucky native) visited this same medical center for the third year in a row to spread Christmas cheer to young patients. A press release in recognition of this great deed reads: “The Jennifer Lawrence Foundation Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) will feature private rooms dedicated to children recovering from heart procedures, open heart surgery including heart transplant, heart failure and other conditions requiring intensive care. “The new 14-bed unit will offer space for families to stay with their children. It will be staffed by additional specialists with cardiac critical care training and experience, dedicated nursing staff and other professionals focused solely on heart care.”
Damon took quite a few hits on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 12 . We mean this literally. Totally distraught over what he did to Elena last week, Damon set out to punish himself. When we first saw the destroyed hero, he was lying in the middle of the street, just as he was when he met Elena way back in the day. He then killed the poor pedestrian who stopped to see if Damon was okay… before heading to Mystic Grill and slicing off the head of one of Julian’s cronies. Just as Julian was about to drive a stake through Damon’s heart, though, he realized the sort of pain his nemesis was in and decided on a different course of action instead: Apparently Julian has been running some kind of underground fight club and he offered Damon the chance to punish himself mentally by getting punished physically. He disposed of his first couple foes, using a stake illegally tossed into the ring by a random hot waitress the second time, before it was time for him to take on Julian. Once outside, though, Damon owned up to how he burned Elena alive and Stefan reacted by slugging his troubled brother a few times in the face. OUCH! But this wasn’t it for either brother: Damon went home and was paid a visit by the aforementioned hot waitress. She brought tequila and a willingness to have sex. Stefan, meanwhile, was finally sick and tired of Julian, blaming him for sending Damon into The Phoenix Stone and teaming with Valerie on a cloaking spell. She made him invisible to everyone else and then Stefan yanked out Julian’s heart. Rest in peace, man. NOT! Elsewhere this week: The pretty cop who tossed Matt in jail last week followed him to Mystic Falls and nearly got herself killed in the process. She now knows all about vampires. Caroline learned, the painful way, that her babies are syphoning her vampire power. Bonnie, Mary-Louise and Nora tracked The Huntress to a mental institute in Ohio after receiving postcards with an X on them, the signal that she was coming after all who had been stabbed with her sword. But they just found an old lady there, someone who at first lied about being the Huntress, but then told Bonnie the truth and was about to kill her… … when Enzo randomly showed up. After Bonnie left to find Mary-Louise and Nora, she returned to find that Enzo had stolen the Huntress away. To where?!? To some kind of chamber, where he burned her old body and where a younger version then appeared, still stuck behind glass. But she clearly becomes UNstuck at some point because we ended the episode by flashing three years into the future and getting a look at her at the news station building, holding both Stefan and Damon hostage. Where will this all go on The Vampire Diaries Season 7 Episode 13 ? We can’t wait to find out!
Former pharmaceutical exec and noted penis hole Martin Shkreli took his campaign to become the real-life incarnation of a Mr. Burns-like cartoonish supervillain to a new level moments ago, announcing on Twitter that he’d like to purchase the sole rights to Kanye West’s long-anticipated seventh studio album, The Life of Pablo . Failing that, Shkreli says, he at least wants to prevent the record from being released on time. In an open letter to the rapper posted online moments ago, Shkreli wrote, “Instead of releasing this product for your millions of fans, I ask you to sell this recording solely to me, for the price of $10,000,000. “I believe you (and your partners) will find this financial arrangement more attractive than your current course of action.” Shkreli later tweeted, “Kanye and his label are legally required to take my offer letter to their Board of Directors …This should delay the album by a few days.” You may remember that Shkreli purchased the only copy of the Wu Tang Clan’s Once Upon a Time in Shaolin back in December. The difference there was that the Wu had always planned on selling a single copy to a wealthy super-fan in hopes that said aficionado would eventually make the disc available to the public. Shkreli has yet to do so, and he’s since butted heads with Ghostface Killah and other Wu Tang members as a result. With Kanye, of course, Shkreli is taking on the hip hop world’s most famous ego, and it seems unlikely that the former hedge fund manager actually expects Yeezy to make a deal. That said, we’re sure Mr. West will handle this elaborate act of trollery in a rational, level-headed fashion. Just kidding, ‘Ye’s about to go off on this dweeb.
