Colin Farrell to Star in True Detective Season Two?

True Detective was a surprise runaway hit for HBO, and the 2014 Emmy nominations indicate that the show is just as popular with the Academy as it was with viewers. Naturally, there’s a lot of pressure on showrunner Nic Pizzolatto to deliver again in season 2, and the show’s one-and-done anthology format means that acclaimed stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson won’t be returning for a second go-round. So who will fill the (probably gritty, psychologically complex) voice in the show’s second season? Well, rumors that Jessica Chastain will join True Detective were shot down months ago, and no new casting information was leaked until today.  According to unconfirmed reports, it now looks as though Irish actor Colin Farrell will continue the show’s tradition of transplanting big screen stars to the world of premium cable. The series will feature an entirely new setting and storyline for season 2, so there’s no telling if Farrell will be drinking heavily and vocally contemplating the nature of existence a la McConaughey in season one. (Read: that’s totally what he’s gonna do.) Early reports indicate that TD will feature three leads this time around, and there’s no word yet on what probably A-list stars will join Farrell. Sadly, the cast shake-up means there will be no more Alexandra Daddario nude scenes . To re-live those, you’ll have to watch True Detective online at TV Fanatic. Of course, regardless of the quality of the show this upcoming season, True Detective Season 2 GIFs, have already given us plenty to be grateful for: True Detective Season 2: Who Should Star? 1. Cheryl Burke: I’m Not Dying! I Haven’t Had Plastic Surgery!

Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke looks very different these days, sparking rumors that she is in poor health, and/or that she had plastic surgery. This all started when Burke, who dropped a considerable amount of weight, posted a photo on Facebook that was bombarded with comments. People said Cheryl looks anorexic, and worse. Someone even asked if she’s dying of AIDS. One person dissed her by saying “Those Botox lips need there [sic] own FB page, gross” and another said to delete the pic “before it ends up on TMZ.” Which it did. Check it out after the jump: Burke is far from pleased with the talk. Not only is it hurtful on its own merit, but she’s especially upset at the fact that people trashing her now are same idiots who called her fat before. As for the undeniable weight loss, she says she just 30 and decided to stop drinking and partying, in favor of living and eating more healthily. Burke tells TMZ in response to the outcry over the photo, “I didn’t have plastic surgery and I don’t have an eating disorder. I’m just actually happy.” Good for her. Dave Legeno Dies; Harry Potter Actor was 50

Dave Legeno, an actor best known for portraying the werewolf Fenrir Greyback in multiple Harry Potter films, was found dead this week in California. He was 50 years old. According to TMZ and Yahoo sources, Legeno’s body was discovered by hikers on Sunday in in Death Valley National Park. Authorities – who had to airlift the corpse away via helicopter because the area was so remote – believe Legeno passed away from heat-related complications; he may have been dead for a minimum of three days by the time his body was found. Temperatures in this region around this time of year can exceed 120 degrees. Legeno was also an MMA fighter who went by the ring name The Enforcer and appeared in such other films as The Raven and Snow White and the Huntsman. He is survived by one daughter in her 20s. Becca Tobin and Matt Bendik Had Been So "Happy Together," Source Says

In the wake of  Matt Bendik’s shocking death , everyone who knew the 35-year old nightclub owner is trying to make sense of what happened. As previously reported, the boyfriend of Glee star Becca Tobin was found dead inside a Philadelphia hotel room yesterday, with a housekeeper finding his body and calling the police around 1 p.m. He was pronounced not long after that, with authorities saying there were no signs of foul play in the room. No weapons, no injuries on the body, no drugs or even any alcohol in the area. Matt Bendik Found Dead “He was such a solid guy,” an insider tells Us Weekly of Bendik , who owned several establishments. “What a loss… Everyone is looking for answers and reasons right now.” Another source says Bendik “didn’t do drugs,” and “only casually” drank. He was a generally clean, sober and level-headed individual. “He was a hardworking businessman, the nicest guy, very diligent, with such vision,” this second source says. “It is unbelievable. None of us knows what it could be. He was a guy that loved life and loved living.” As for his relationship with the actress behind Kitty Wilde on Glee? “He was doing really well and they were happy together.” Our thoughts go out to the friends, family and loved ones of Matt Bendik. George Clooney Calls Out Daily Mail for “Premeditated Lie,” Labels Paper “Worst Kind of Tabloid”

One of these days, The Daily Mail will learn: You do NOT mess with George Clooney. Last week, the British newspaper ran a story in which it said the mother of Amal Alamuddin  (Baria Alamuddin) was Druze and, therefore, took religious exception to her daughter marrying the actor. Clooney responded with a scathing Op-Ed in USA Today in which slammed the rumor not only as false, but as “dangerous.” George Clooney Fires Back at The Daily Mail From there, The Daily Mail issued an apology and deleted the story from its website, claiming it was NOT fabricated and that it came from to them from “a reputable and trusted freelance journalist.” What does Clooney have to say in response? Settle in, folks. This is good… “The original story never cites that source, but instead goes out of its way to insist on four different occasions that ‘a family friend’ spoke directly to the Mail,” Clooney wrote in USA Today again. “So either they were lying originally or they’re lying now.” Clooney then uses research to prove that the newspaper was well aware of this lie prior to publishing it. “In an article dated April 28, 2014, reporter Richard Spillett writes in the Mail that ‘Ramzi, (Amal’s father), married outside the Druze faith,’ and a family friend said that ‘Baria, (Amal’s mom), is not Druze.’ The Mail knew the story in question was false and printed it anyway.” Somewhere, Daily Mail editors are combing through a dictionary, wondering what this research thing means. “What separates this from all the ridiculous things the Mail makes up is that now, by their own admission, it can be proved to be a lie. In fact, a premeditated lie,” Clooney wrote. The multiple-time Oscar nominee than brought his rebuke home in style: “So I thank the Mail for its apology. Not that I would ever accept it, but because in doing so they’ve exposed themselves as the worst kind of tabloid. Kesha Opens Up About Rehab, Why She Was “Hateful” to Her Body

In a deeply personal essay for Elle UK, Kesha opens up about her recent stint in rehab and the pressure of Hollywood that helped land her there. “I’ve written songs about partying, but my dirty little secret is that I’m actually incredibly responsible,” the singer writes. “I take my music and career very seriously, and certainly didn’t land in this situation from partying. “But I was cut off from the outside world and I imagined people making up stories at a time when what I really needed was support.” Kesha ( no more dollar sign ) then admits she needed help for an “eating disorder” and explained how such an ailment came to be: “I felt like part of my job was to be as skinny as possible, and to make that happen, I had been abusing my body. I just wasn’t giving it the energy it needed to keep me healthy and strong.” The artist said she couldn’t help but compare her figures to others around her. (And it didn’t help when Dr. Luke reportedly slammed Kesha’s body during a music video shoot.) “The music industry has set unrealistic expectations for what a body is supposed to look like, and I started becoming overly critical of my own body because of that,” she writes. “I felt like people were always lurking, trying to take pictures of me with the intention of putting them up online or printing them in magazines and making me look terrible” Kesha says she became “scared” to walk around in public or even go online. The musician spent two months in rehab. “During that time I began to feel a shift in my mentality and really started to understand my own self-worth. I started to not worry as much about what other people thought of me,” she says. “I could focus on my music and my happiness and not what I looked like.” 11 Celebrities Who Have Been To Rehab 1. It’s true. Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are expecting a baby. The actress is pregnant, multiple sources confirm, with the first child for both stars, who played parents in their 2012 drama The Place Beyond the Pines . Guess they’re about to assume said roles in real life now! Rumors of the duo’s undoing have been a frequent occurrence of late. Rumors that Eva Mendes is pregnant by Ryan Gosling came out of nowhere. The private, attractive stars, dating since 2011, haven’t been photographed together since November, leading to rampant speculation that they broke up . Not exactly. She was asked if she’s expecting by Ellen DeGeneres in February, but joked, “That all started because I didn’t want to go through the scanners at the airport.” A friend of Eva Mendes says she never planned on getting married or having kids, but being with Gosling has changed her perspective on all of that. “With Ryan things are different … she’s very independent but she’s content with her partner. Kill Kendall Jones Page: NOT Taken Down By Facebook!

Facebook has allowed the “Kill Kendall Jones” community page to stay up, ruling upon review that it does not violate the social network’s community standards. This despite the fact that several of the now-infamous Kendall Jones hunting photos were taken down for violating the company’s policies regarding animal abuse. The 19-year-old cheerleader from Texas, an avid hunter, sparked plenty of outrage and admiration by posing with her trophy kills (see gallery below) last week. Facebook nixed a series of photos that showed her posing with a variety of animals, including a leopard and a lion, that she had shot on safari in Zimbabwe. The pictures were said to break a rule about “graphic images shared for sadistic effect or to celebrate or glorify violence,” as outlined by the company. Many Facebook users want to Kill Kendall Jones, however, and her father is livid that such content is allowed to stay up while her pictures are not. Cody Jones says he contacted Facebook, demanding they take down the “Kill Kendall Jones” page and its many posts and pics urging his daughter’s murder. He says Facebook shut him down , reviewing the page and determining that it didn’t violate standards, despite it being a takeoff of Kendall’s own postings. In fact, some of the exact photos she shared are still up in doctored form. The Kill Kendall page turns the tables on Jones, with the animals standing over a dead hunter (usually her). Somewhere, Joanna Krupa is smiling at this. Facebook says, “We remove content and may escalate to law enforcement when we perceive a genuine risk of physical harm, or a direct threat to public safety.” Apparently, they feel a page called Kill Kendall Jones doesn’t qualify. On A&E’s Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 5, the gang seriously considered revamping the Duck Commander logo, crazy as that might sound to fans. Watch Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 5 Online The motto “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” applies to many things in life, and the Robertson family certainly embraces it with its emphasis on family and tradition. Yet CEO Willie put it in everybody’s heads that he wants to hire someone to design a snazzy new Duck Commander symbol to reinvigorate the brand. The flying duck has been the main image of the Robertson’s family business since 1972, when the Duck Commander himself, Phil Robertson, founded it. Ultimately, despite Jase Robertson and the guys getting a little carried away in response to the idea, the logo change is scuttled and everyone is happy. Not surprising in the end. Elsewhere on Duck Dynasty Season 6 Episode 5 , Phil helped Bella with a science project, which always makes for a good time. Phil plus granddaughters equals priceless exchanges galore, even if the episode was less eventful overall than last week, when they decided to be firemen.
