Jake Harris is in major trouble with the law. The former Deadliest Catch star was arrested on January 23 for felony DUI and drug possession, as reported by TMZ. Details are still coming in, but this is what we know so far about the incident… It took place in Skagit County, Washington where police say the 33-year-old refused to identify himself to park rangers, after they tried pulling him over. In response to this attempt, Harris took off with his RV, prompting state troopers to turn on their sirens chase him down and force him down. Once they managed to do so, the legal problems only became worse for Harris. Authorities say the troopers noticed signs of drug use on the ex-reality star, most prominently pinpoint pupils, bloodshot eyes and a pale face. They also say he was jittery, unable to stand still and just shaking the whole time – while also talking very quickly. As if these signs were not sufficient evidence, a K-9 alerted cops to drugs in the RV. From here, once again, it got even worse… Police allegedly discovered a half ounce of heroin and other paraphernalia associated with the selling of drugs. Moreover, they found a shotgun Harris claims he purchased from someone for $150 and a “ball” of heroin… which was stolen. Harris He was arrested and charged with four felonies: 1. DUI. 2. Possession of a controlled substance, 3. Maintaining a vehicle or premises for drug trafficking. 4. Possession of a stolen firearm. Heck, Harris was even driving on a suspended license. Harris was skipper of the Cornelia Marie prior to leaving Deadliest Catch in 2012. His struggled with drugs over the years have been well-noted and publicized, never more so when he was nearly beaten to death in November of 2016. According to local Washington officers at the time, Harris got into a car with multiple individuals… and was thrown out at some point. He was discovered by the police with injuries so serious that he was transported to the ICU. Based on a message posted by his brother, Josh, shortly after the assault, Harris was bleeding from the brain and came close to dying. “They literally beat my brother, left him for dead, threw him out of a moving vehicle onto the side of the freeway,” Josh told fans in an update back then, adding: “Luckily the people that were behind the vehicle that he got thrown out of ended up seeing my brother and called 911.” The people responsible for this beating were eventually arrested and, to this day, it’s unknown exactly what transpired and/or why. But many folks believe drugs were involvd. Harris’ bail for this new arrest, meanwhile, has been set at $200,000.

She said that he was keeping all of the 90 Day Fiance money and Cameo (made-to-order, personalized videos for fans) money for himself. The singer took to Instagram to express her love for new husband Liam Hemsworth. And there’s a lot of love. In honor of their first Valentine’s Day together, the singer shared several never-before-seen photos to her social media accounts on Thursday from her and Hemsworth’s wedding. Which was an intimate and secret ceremony that was held at Cyrus’ home in Tennessee on December 23, 2018. “My Valentine every single day,” she captioned the first image, which shows Liam with his eyes closed and her with her mouth wide open. Typical. In another, Cyrus thanked her 6 foot 3 husband for “always bending down” to hug her. She then promised to always meet him “in the middle” on her “tippiest toes.” “I love you Valentine!” She wrote. And while we love getting a glimpse at their adorable faces, we want more!! And she provided. Sharing an enchanting photo of their simple wedding cake, which Hemsworth can be seen smiling behind. The next three photos were solo shots of Miley in her striking off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood wedding gown. Two of the photos also showed off her delicate wedding bouquet which consisted of white and pale-colored flowers. But before the singer released the photos from her special day, she shared something else that offered, well a little less taste. The 26-year-old shared an extremely cheeky snapshot to Twitter and her Instagram story from her Bangerz tour , which showed her legs raised in the air as she wore a high-cut bodysuit. To which she captioned “When it’s valentine’s day and bae says hi.” Don’t worry, she tagged Liam’s Instagram so he knew he was the intended recipient of the strange Valentine and writing, “Love you.” Over the weekend the Australian actor was briefly hospitalized for kidney stones and had to miss his Isn’t it Romantic premiere. Miley attended the film’s event for her beau, even posing for photos on the red carpet alone and with Rebel Wilson. A source told People on Tuesday that although Liam was hospitalized, “he was at home resting and will be fine.” In another Instagram post, Miley left a flirty message for Hemsworth while posing in front of a photo featuring him playing a saxophone. Which is something he does at the end of the rom-com satire. “Getting sick blows. But so do I. Get well soon babe. I love you,” she wrote. “Play that sax you sexy f -.” which followed with heart and kissing emojis. Liam issued a statement on his Instagram account after the premiere, as well, where he apologized for missing the event . He also gave a shout-out to his wife. “Sorry I couldn’t make it to the @isntitromantic premier tonight guys. Been dealing with some pretty annoying health stuff the last couple days,” explained the actor. “Lucky I have the best girl in the world to represent for me! Thanks for the support babe!” Hemsworth added. “I hope everyone enjoys the movie! Folks, we really didn’t think it was possible, but somehow, Meghan Markle’s awful family got even messier this week. And just when we were convinced the situation couldn’t get any more ridiculous, the Markles went ahead and dragged George Clooney into it. To be fair, Clooney willingly waded into this swamp when he compared Meghan to Princess Diana . But he probably never imagined his stern warning to the British press would lead to such a harsh rebuke from Meghan’s loser father and half-sister. First, Samantha Markle lashed out at Clooney : “Hey Looney Clooney! Your lawyer wife should have taught you not to make statements without full facts,” she tweeted. “I doubt #GeorgeClooney would ghost his mother for no legitimate reason. Be quiet Georgie.” Now, it’s Thomas’ turn, and as you may have guessed, his remarks are just as asinine. Speaking with TMZ, Tom blasted George’s comments as “frustrating” and “irresponsible.” The site reports that Thomas took Clooney’s remarks “as a dig” and encouraged the actor to “do a little research before he talks about Meghan and her father.” It seems the part of Clooney’s comments that really got under Thomas’ skin had to do with a letter the elder Markle received from Meghan, As you may have heard, Thomas sold Meghan’s letter to a tabloid, and the whole world wound up reading the Duchess of Sussex’s private comments. “I can’t tell you how frustrating that is, just seeing them broadcast a letter from a daughter to a father,” Clooney said during a recent press conference to promote his new series, Catch-22 . “She’s getting a raw deal there, and I think it’s irresponsible and I’m surprised by that.” As TMZ points out, it seems that George’s comments are aimed more at the press than at the Markles. Still, Thomas is the one that made the letter public, so it’s not hard to see how he might interpret the comment as shade. Along with his wife, Amal, Clooney attended Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry back in May. Sources say the couples are close, and Amal has helped Meghan acclimate to life in London. We have a significant update in what has become one of the more bizarre stories we’ve seen in awhile. And that update is this: Two men have been arrested in conjunction with Empire actor Jussie Smollett getting savagely beaten in Chicago last month. According to TMZ, a pair of brothers from Nigeria named Olabinjo and Abimbola Osundairo have been taken into custody by the Chicago police department. They have been labeled “potential suspects” in this beating, as opposed to mere “persons of interests,” which is a key distinction. As previously reported on The Hollywood Gossip and via other outlets, the siblings were picked up at O’Hare Airport on Wednesday night and subsequent had their home raided. Police reportedly found shoes, a laptop and other possible pieces of evidence there that may link them to the Smollett investigation. But here’s where it gets interesting and sort of troubling… Smollett had previously told the cops that his attackers were white. He claimed they screamed that he was in “MAGA Country” at the time of the incident, while also screaming racial and anti-gay epithets in his direction. Now… is it possible that two African-Americans could have uttered these words? Sure. Anything is possible. But the brothers had also previously worked as extras on Empire. Their attorney has confirmed to a CBS affiliate in Chicago that they knew Smollett pretty well. Now… is it possible they therefore knew where he lived and knew his whereabouts on the night of the alleged attack? Sure. However, there’s been rather serious talk that Smollett actually staged this assault and both the skin color of these suspects – and their connection to the actor definitely gives us reason to consider this theory. We really don’t wish to speculate too much on such a sensitive and seemingly wild/horrible possibility, but the ABC affiliate in Chicago alleges that he was about to be written off Empire. Presumably, turning himself into a victim of a hate crime that received national attention would have made Smollett into far too much of a sympathetic figure for producers to follow through with this plan. 20th Century Fox Television and Fox Entertainment, however, released a statement in response to the rumor that Smollett was being fired, dismissing the rumor out of hand: The idea that Jussie Smollett has been, or would be, written off EMPIRE is patently ridiculous. He remains a core player on this very successful series and we continue to stand by him. To review, Smollett has claimed two men verbally berated him with racist and homophobic slurs early in the morning of January 29. He says they poured a substance, believed to be bleach all over him; and tied a rope around his neck. Speaking to Good Morning America on Thursday after the beating, Smollett challenged his critics and insisted he’s telling the truth. “I’m pissed off,” he told Robin Roberts early in their chat, citing the criticism he’s received from doubters of the attack. “They called me a f—-t, they called me a n–ga. There’s no which way you cut it,” Smollett said, adding: “I’ve heard that it was a date gone bad, which I also resent that narrative. I’m not gonna go out and get a tuna sandwich and a salad to meet somebody. That’s ridiculous. And it’s offensive.” As for why he waited a short while before calling the police to report what happened? He cited the idea of “pride” and explained: “We live in a society where, as a gay man, you are considered somehow, to be weak, and I’m not weak. I am not weak. It’s always upsetting to hear that someone is foolish enough to not vaccinate their children . But the wife of a White House aide is taking things further than decrying vaccines. In a pair of tweets that went viral in the worst way, she claims that having the measles keeps you healthy and fights cancer . Bill Shine is an aide to Donald Trump. His wife is Darla Shine. It turns out that, just as Trump struggles to understand climate science, Darla is unable to grasp medical science. “Here we go LOL #measlesoutbreak on #CNN,” Darla tweeted. She then tagged her tweet: “#Fake #Hysteria.” “The entire Baby Boom population alive today had the #Measles as kids,” she claims. This, as we will address later, is known as survivor bias . Darla does more than merely express doubt at the necessity of vaccinations. She actually welcomes the return of easily preventable diseases. “Bring back our #ChildhoodDisease,” she writes eagerly. With regard to those once-defeated ailments, Darla claims: “they keep you healthy & fight cancer.” That is, just to clarify, completely untrue. In fact, there was a recent case in which a small child beat leukemia only to die from exposure to measles. “I had the # Measles # Mumps # ChickenPox as a child and so did every kid I knew,” Darla writes. Sure. These preventable diseases were once acceptad as an unpleasant and sometimes fatal fact of life. “Sadly my kids had # MMR,” she writes. ” So they will never have the life long natural immunity I have.” She concludes her contrarian nonsense, writing: “come breathe on me.” Darla is unfortunately not the only famous person proud of her ignorance on medical science. As we continue, we will include photos of some other famous people who should really, really know better. (Jenny McCarthy is possibly the celebrity most synonymous with anti-vaccine ideology, though she does not quite embrace that title) While we don’t object to Darla Shine’s invitation for people to expose her to airborne illnesses, her tweets are nothing short of absurd. First of all, as we mentioned, “everyone who’s alive survived it” is called survivor bias . Similarly, everyone who has been shot and lived survived a gunshot. That doesn’t mean that gunshots are safe, or not deadly. Measels can also cause lifelong problems even for those who survive. Also, just as vaccines do not cause autism, measels do not bestow some special protection against cancer. But, you heard the lady. By all means, go breathe on her. (Kailyn Lowry of Teen Mom 2 fame recently revealed that she no longer vaccinates her children, which is disappointing fo fans who thought she was a good mom) “My friend’s daughter is deaf because of LOL measles,” responded one tweeter, mocking Shine’s tone. “LOL childhood diseases contracted during pregnancy cause serious birth defects,” the tweet continues. That same tweeter then wondered: “Does this LOL at preventable misery reflect the WH press office position.” We should note that there are unfortunately anti-vaxx people on both sides of the political aisle. (Kylie Jenner has shared a number of bizarre conspiracy images, including chemtrails and anti-vaxx hoopla. We hope that this does not impact Stormi) Fortunately, the CDC’s literal entire job is controlling disease, so they are not ambiguous about the importance of vaccines. “Children should get two doses of MMR vaccine,” the CDC states. “Starting with the first dose at 12 to 15 months of age.” “And,” the recommendations continue. “The second dose at 4 through 6 years of age.” “In the decade before 1963 when a vaccine became available, nearly all children got measles by the time they were 15 years of age,” the CDC notes. “Also each year, among reported cases, an estimated 400 to 500 people died,” the CDC reminds the public. (Jim Carrey has unfortunately expressed some troubling views that lead people to believe that he is opposed to vaccinations) The World Health Organization has noted a 30% uptick in measles cases worldwide, though vaccine hesitancy is only one of the factors. Some of those opposed to vaccines believe that they may cause autism. This is false, but it is deeply troubling to hear people imply that they would rather see their child dead than autistic. Some people, such as those who are immuno-compromised, cannot be vaccinated. They rely upon herd immunity to avoid potentially fatal ailments. Sadly, anti-vaxx parents do not seem to care. Wednesday’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey season finale was an action-packed one. New housewife, Jennifer Aydin, was on hand to invite her co-stars to her huge home for a big season-ending party. Well, the party was for her 16th wedding anniversary, but it did fall on the night the season finale was filmed, so there’s that. The housewives, including Danielle Staub, arrived in some of their nicest get-ups of the season. That’s when we learned that Danielle had been trying to poison Teresa against Margaret. As you will recall if you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online , Teresa and Danielle were once at odds. There table flips, fights, and crazy rumors. But they’ve left all that in the past. Teresa wants to see the best in Danielle, but everyone else could see the issue. “Teresa’s not a very good judge of character,” Melissa Gorga said of her sister-in-law. Melissa’s husband, Joe, was desperate to make things right between him, Margaret’s husband, Joe Benigno, and Danielle’s then-husband, Marty Caffrey. The two Joes found Marty at the party and asked him to step outside with them to bury the hatchet once and for all. Marty said that Joe was trying to paint Danielle in a bad light in the Bahamas for their wedding. In fact, the two Joes tried to tell Marty there was something amiss with Danielle. “You were out of line. You should apologize,” Marty complained, but Joe B responded with, “No f–king way. You have to apologize for calling my wife all kinds of shit.” “You wanna talk shit?” Marty screamed. “You’re a f–king jealous motherf–ker. You wish you were me!” “You keep staring at Danielle’s tits because your wife doesn’t have any!” Marty shouted. “She doesn’t have the body Danielle has.” Margaret then showed up, and that’s when things got really out of hand. “What is going on?!” she asked with a stern look on her face. Marge has been serving looks all season long, and this was a new one. Joe said, “He said I’m jealous of Danielle because you have no body and no tits.” “Yeah, I said that. And I’m gonna say that,” Marty fired back as Margaret got ready to unleash holy hell. “What man would say that about somebody else’s wife?” Margaret shrieked, as Marty countered that he was “promoting the beauty” of his wife. “By insulting another woman?” Margaret quizzed. Joe was done listening to his wife being belittled and got close to hitting Marty. “If you talk down to my wife…” Joe yelled. “If you touch me one more f–king time…” Marty fired back. “I’m willing to go after you right f–king now,” Joe said, clearly getting ready for a fight. . “When you go home tonight, she’s gonna bitch slap you!” Mary snarled. He then turned to Margaret and said, “You emasculate him every chance you…” In a truly hilarious moment, Joe and Margaret grabbed Marty and threw him into the pool. That’s one way to shut someone up, we guess. “Your husband’s in the pool,” said Margaret, walking off with Benigno, to Danielle. “Who threw my husband in the pool?” Danielle asked. “Me and my husband,” said Margaret. Things got seriously heated during Mo’Nique and Steve Harvey’s highly anticipated interview on Wednesday. News quickly spread that the actress actually “slapped” Steve in the face. And while that rumor was wrong, it wasn’t far fetched. During an all-new Steve , the talk show host invited his long-time friend onto the show to address some negative headlines. Mo’Nique and Steve went head-to-head on the comedienne’s comments over Oprah, Lee Daniels and Tyler Perry. And according to HollywoodLife , “Mo goes as far to say she was getting ready to punch Steve in the mouth.” The two’s debate intensified over her comments about being “blackballed” from movies and how she even told Daniels, Perry and Oprah to “suck my d***” during a stand-up show. I’m sorry, but how do you say such things about Oprah and not expect to get excluded from the film industry? That rowdy behavior may get you a rose on The Bachelor, but not a lead role in a movie. Steve gets right to it and asks: “You started getting labeled as difficult, why do you believe that happened and do you see that changing and why?” She replies, “I said no to some very powerful people.” The Oscar-winner then went on to say she didn’t appreciate Steve’s handling of the situation after news broke that she was “blackballed from the industry.” She said she was incredibly hurt when Steve reportedly said: “My sister burnt too many bridges and there’s nothing I can do for her now.” The TV host assured her and said he understands her anger towards his statement but also thought she “went about it all wrong.” “We can’t cure darkness with more darkness,” he said to her. Over the years, Mo has claimed that she was blackballed by Hollywood after refusing to promote her film Precious without additional pay and she argued that some big names attempted to silence her during her pursuit of equality. Their tempered talk finally turned into a real conversation as Steve apologized for not calling her the moment he heard about the news. “Here is what I want you to understand, as we try to come through this, I know who you really are, I want you to come through this,” the host said. “I love you like a sister, I hate what is happening to you. I want them to know you are caring, a great mother, you are an incredible mother,” he continued, holding her hand and looking into her eyes. “I don’t like the fact that you’ve been blackballed…I want this to end for you. Because I love you. Because these people are doing it the wrong way and you’re better than that. “I probably should’ve called you as soon as it happened, but I didn’t. When I did, I listened to you, but I told you, in the beginning, we’re going about this the wrong way.” He summed up the issue by telling Mo’Nique that those people owe her an apology, but that she also owes them an apology. Steve also revealed that he would facilitate the conversation, bringing in all parties involved for a private (but probably not) open discussion. And their talk resolved with a promise that Steve will get her the release she desperately needs.
On Wednesday, the music world was shocked by reports that celebrated singer-songwriter Ryan Adams has been accused of sexual misconduct and psychological abuse by several female musicians. In a scathing report from the New York Times seven women — including Adams’ ex-wife, Mandy Moore — came forward to detail instances in which they had been harassed, threatened or manipulated by Adams. On Twitter, Adams’ tone switched from combative to almost-apologetic, as he issued a statement in which he asked forgiveness, while at the same time refusing to accept responsibility for his alleged actions. Prior to the publication of the exposé, Adams assumed a defensive posture. “F-ck you. You are kitty litter. Happy Valentine’s Day,” he tweeted alongside the Times famous logo. “Run your smear piece. But the leagel [sic] eagles see you. Rats. I’m f-cking taking you down,” Adams continued, seemingly threatening legal action against the paper. After the piece was published, however, Adams adopted a more conciliatory stance: “I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes,” he tweeted. “To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly.” Possibly in reference to allegations that he sent sexually explicit photos to an aspiring musician who was in her early teens at the time (Adams was already in his forties), the singer had this to say: “But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false,” he tweeted. “As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly. “I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be. And I wish everyone compassion, understanding and healing.” On Twitter, many were quick to point out that at no point did Adams acknowledge his victims or offer them the solace that might have come with accepting responsibility for specific actions. According to Moore and singers Phoebe Bridgers and Jaye Courtney — Adams used the promise of career success to lure his mostly much-younger victims into scenarios where they were pressured to engage in sex acts. “Music was a point of control for him,” says Moore, who adds that Adams engaged in frequent “psychologically abusive” behavior during their 6-year marriage.
