Nicki Minaj is not long for American Idol. In the least surprising news of the day, an insider tells Us Weekly that the singer will depart this Fox competition immediately following this week’s finale. “It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to Idol ,” the source says, adding that Nicki will start focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.” Randy Jackson has already resigned from Idol and producers are expected to replace the entire panel some time this summer. The latest issue of Allure features Zoe Saldana nude and quotes the actress as saying she’s androgynous . But it’s a number on the cover of this magazine that is actually stirring up the most controversy, as editors describe the actress as “115 pounds of grit and heartache.” Why advertise such a low number, many are asking? Doesn’t this set a poor example? “We conclude that 115 is a number meant to represent an attractively tiny weight,” writes New York Magazine. “Delicate and tiny, making her “grit” all the more charming. Just a tiny little pretty thing, but boy, little missy packs a punch! A rare catch, that 115-pounder, same size as the prize tuna fish. Either that or they think it’s a “healthy” weight. Bizarre and unnecessary either way.” Saldana stands 5’7″, notes the website Stlyeite, making it seem like the publication was purposely trying to “drum up” buzz by including the figure. Eazy-E and Ol’ Dirty Bastard are about to perform live for the first time since … well, they died. The rap legends will take the stage as holograms this fall! Promoters for the annual “Rock the Bells” hip hop festival in September and October have announced a “virtual” Eazy and a “virtual” ODB will perform. Better yet? Hologram Eazy-E will perform with living, breathing Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, while O.D.B. will appear alongside the Wu Tang Clan! Wade Robson is ready to break his silence on the Michael Jackson sex abuse allegations, and does not sound like a man who’s ready to duck and cover. Robson surfaced at NYC’s JFK airport today, where he was accosted by paparazzi about his accusations that Michael Jackson sexually abused him . Choreographer Wade, 30, said that the late King of Pop abused him for years when he was a kid, and that he was a monster and everyone knows it. As for why he didn’t come forward until now, he says he blocked out the memories and recently suffered a breakdown due to the repressed trauma. That breakdown, he claims, torpedoed his career and cost him millions, which he is hoping to recoup in his lawsuit against the music icon’s estate. The estate believes Wade is completely lying, while MJ’s former lawyer suggests that AEG could be behind Robson’s curiously timed allegations. Robson says he’ll open up later this week. According to the latest issue of In Touch Weekly , Kim Kardashian has something to worry about aside from her growing weight and the possibility that she is being used for her womb . Freeing itself from libel, the magazine quotes “some online commenters” as speculating that West is in a “romantic relationship” with Riccardo Tisci, the creative director of the company that designed Kim’s dress for this year’s MET Gala . “There are some facts Kim can’t deny,” a source tells In Touch . “Kanye has spent her entire pregnancy living close to Riccardo in the French capita… and Riccardo recently purchased an apartment less than half a mile from Kanye’s in NYC’s Soho neighborhood.” There it is! Convincing proof! The tabloid adds that Kanye is “obsessed with Riccardo” and the two spend a lot of time inside Kanye’s apartment… if you know what this made-up report means! “Kim freaked out,” a totally real friend says in the article. “If it turns out Kanye is involved with Riccardo, she will be utterly embarrassed – more so than she’s ever been in her life.” Hear that, Kris Humphries ? Chris Pine and Jake Gyllenhaal are in talks to join the cast of Into the Woods . The film is an adaptation of the Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Steven Sondheim. Into the Woods follows a baker and his wife as they seek a witch in order to reverse an infertility curse she put on them. Johnny Depp and Meryl Streep are already attached to star, presumably as the Baker and the Witch, respectively. Rob Marshall, who is a seasoned adapter of stage musicals to screen, will direct.
Angelina Jolie‘s double mastectomy was apparently just the beginning. The Oscar winner’s ovaries are coming out too, according to People magazine. She implied as much in the New York Times op-ed in which she revealed she had a double mastectomy after learning she carries a “faulty” BRCA1 gene. That trait could dramatically increase her risk for breast and ovarian cancers, which she is determined to prevent, no matter the physical toll. “I started with the breasts, as my risk of breast cancer is higher than my risk of ovarian cancer , and the surgery is more complex,” the star wrote. But her medical odyssey is not done. She still faces a high risk of ovarian cancer, which claimed her mom’s life at age 56, and which her doctors say she has a 50 percent chance of getting. Some doctors recommend patients undergo the surgery by age 40 or when a woman is done having kids, though it may trigger early menopause. Angelina Jolie is 37 and has six children. She says she plans to get the ovaries out ASAP, but it’s unclear what that means. For now, though, the star and her fiancé, Brad Pitt, are focused on family. The two have been focused on maintaining a sense of routine for their kids, keeping up family traditions and holidays even as Jolie was undergoing treatment. Pitt called her heroic in a recent statement. In the weeks surrounding the double mastectomy surgeries, “life was normal” for the children, says a source, and they didn’t notice anything amiss. Adds a family insider: “Her kids always come first to her.”
A remake of The Wild Bunch is in the works, and Will Smith is in talks to lead the project. Warner Bros. is looking to rework the project as a vehicle for the actor, with the original 1969 Sam Peckinpah Western acting as an ensemble film. The new film will be set in present day, and will follow a disgraced DEA agent as he heads to the Mexican border to steal a Drug Lord’s fortune. A remake of the film has been in the works at Warner for a while, but after the death of director Tony Scott, who was attached to direct, the project was shelved. Smith, meanwhile, is dealing with an emancipation request from his son Jaden . Perfect time to negotiate a major movie role!
With four spots in the Dancing With the Stars finals on the line this week, the question was whether Jacoby Jones and Ingo Rademacher would get the fourth. Based on last night, it looks like the former has the clear edge. Leah Messer Calvert announced on the second half of MTV’s Teen Mom 2 reunion special Monday night that she is pregnant with her third child! Or was, anyway. On last season’s Teen Mom 2 reunion, Leah promised Dr. Drew that she wouldn’t try to get pregnant with new husband Jeremy Calvert any time soon. So much for that. As a 20-year-old remarried mom of twins, Leah is the last person who should be thinking about having kids, but hey. It’s been done at this point. She had the kid. Awhile ago. These MTV reunion shows are odd in that the information being relayed is far outdated by the time it makes it air. Some concerns are universal and timeless, however. Dr. Drew is also worried about the distance between Leah and Jeremy, who works out of town six days a week, and feels that will take its toll. However, Leah Messer does have a strong co-parenting partner in ex-husband Corey Simms, who is also happily engaged to Miranda Patterson. They both agree they are better as friends and co-parents, and Jeremy and Corey genuinely get along, so if nothing else, that dynamic is working. Even Dr. Drew concedes they are all doing “remarkably” well. Meanwhile, Chelsea Houska admits she is still struggling to raise Aubree by herself as a single mom, and is so tired of all the drama with Adam Lind. She doesn’t think he puts enough effort into co-parenting, only sees Aubree when it’s convenient, yet she still hooks up with him now and then. Totally normal. Chelsea Houska’s dad, Randy, thinks she needs to move on and deserves better, and that the fighting is only going to stop if the two stop hooking up. Interesting theory. For now, she says she’s going to focus on finishing school, and will finally move on from her baby daddy. We will not hold our breath.
