Christina El Moussa has given herself an early Christmas present… … it’s a brand new husband! The HGTV host took fans by surprise on Saturday by announcing that she has tied the knot with long-time boyfriend Ant Anstead. The wedding, described by People Magazine as a “winter wonderland,” took place at the couple’s home in Newport Beach, California. The couple shocked even the 70 or so loved ones in attendance by initially asking them over to charter a bus that would transport the group to watch the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade. But then… SURPRISE! It was time for a wedding ceremony instead. “We wanted to make it about the kids,” said Anstead to People Magazine . “It’s the six of us. We’re a blended family so it was really important for them to be a part of it.” El Moussa shares daughter Taylor, 8, and son Brayden, 3, with ex-husband Tarek. The two shot to fame as the co-hosts of the home renovation and real estate sale series Flip or Flop. Anstead, meanwhile, has a daughter named Amelie, 15, and son named Archie, 12, from a previous marriage. The two started dating in November of 2017, an occasion El Moussa marked last month via an emotional Instagram post. “@ant_anstead you have showed me what real unconditional love is,” Christina wrote after detailing their first, lengthy phone call. “You take me for what I am, flawed and a bit crazy,” she added at the time Fast forward a few weeks and… bam! The stars are husband and wife. “We wanted it to be rustic romance,” explained El Moussa to People of her second wedding, telling the outlet that she wore a lace dress by designer Ines Di Santo. Christina also noted that she’ll be taking her new husband’s last name. “It has a nice ring to it, doesn’t it?” she asked People. “Christina Anstead. We couldn’t be any happier.” Christina and Tarek divorced back in 2016, following reports that they got into an argument and then Tarek stormed off into the woods with a gun . Tarek admitted to doing so many weeks later, but explained that he was simply afraid of wild animals at the time. Yes, he was angry at Christina. No, he was not suicidal. The pair actually still host Flip or Flop together and have only said kind things about each other in public. This has long seemed like a legitimately amicable break-up for all involved. “Tarek is happy for Christina,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He’s moved on but still cares about her deeply.” As for her new man and new life? Christina says she’s just glad that the secret is finally out. “Every day we were checking the internet to see if anyone found out,” she told People. “Then the day we went to get our marriage license, the guy working was like hyperventilating, excited. We had to tell him this is a huge secret. No one knows.” Did everything go smoothly in the end? Yes, she concludes: “It was just perfect for us. Everything we wanted.”
Back in July, Demi Lovato had a drug overdose. It was really a very scary time. We still don’t know every single detail of what happened, but we do know that she was found unconscious in her home , and that she was rushed to the hospital where she spent several days recuperating. At first, reports alleged that she’d overdosed on heroin, but other outlets insisted that wasn’t the case. One woman, a nurse who claimed she treated Demi, insisted that her problem was methamphetamines. We do know that she was given Narcan , a drug used to block the affects of opioids, when paramedics showed up at her home. That, along with reports that track marks were seen on her arms at the hospital, makes it sound like she really could have been doing heroin. When she left the hospital, she went straight to rehab , and she stayed there until November. After that, she reportedly began dating a designer named Henry Levy — they were photographed kissing earlier this month . A lot of people think that this relationship isn’t the best idea, since it’s often advised that addicts avoid new relationships in the early days of recovery. Also because Henry is an addict himself, and word is that Demi even met him in rehab. It’s just a sticky situation, and according to a report from last week, “she has not been keeping up with her recovery commitments and seems to be falling back into her dangerous old L.A. lifestyle” since getting with Henry. It doesn’t sound good, right? But last night, Demi herself hopped on Twitter to set the record straight. And she’s obviously not happy about the things being said about her. “I love my fans,” she began, “and hate tabloids. Don’t believe what you read.” “People will literally make up stuff to sell a story. Sickening.” She continued by saying that “If I feel like the world needs to know something, I will tell them MYSELF.” “Otherwise people stop writing about my recovery, because it’s no one’s business but mine.” “I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME,” she insisted. Demi did say that “someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today,” but she’s simply not ready to do that right now. “Until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up sh-t that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal.” She also wrote that the people selling these stories about her aren’t actually close to her at all, “because most of the sh-t I see is soooooo inaccurate.” “I would love to set the record straight on all the rumors out there but I literally don’t owe anyone anything so I’m not going to,” she said. “All my fans need to know is I’m working hard on myself, I’m happy and clean and I’m SO grateful for their support.” She finished her rant by tweeting that she’s “so blessed I get to take this time to be with family, relax, work on my mind, body and soul and come back when I’m ready.” “I have my fans to thank for that. I’m so grateful, truly. I love you guys so f-cking much.” So … OK. She’s absolutely right in that she doesn’t owe it to anyone to give the details on what happened with her relapse and her overdose. It’s great that she feels comfortable taking a break to get herself back together, and she should stay out of the spotlight until she’s truly ready to come back. But Twitter ranting is rarely the sign of a truly healthy, happy person, you know? If Demi is really so happy — and we honestly hope she is — then we’d just hope that she wouldn’t feel the need to go off like this on social media. Just live your life, girl, please. Jenelle Evans … Well, bless her heart, she isn’t the brightest crayon in the box, is she? She makes terrible decisions almost exclusively, and no one on earth has time to do a complete rundown of those. But recently, she’s been reigniting her feud with Kailyn Lowry … literally, even. We’ll get into the fire stuff in a minute, but just for fun, let’s review how we got to this point, OK? See, Jenelle and Kailyn used to be friends back in the early days of Teen Mom 2. That ended several years ago when Kailyn bailed Jenelle out of jail — Jenelle promised she’d pay her back, and she never did. This was when they weren’t making much at all on the show, so the money Kailyn spent was a pretty big deal. In a recent interview, Kail revealed that she was there for her former friend in many ways back then, and that once she even cared for her when she was “strung out.” She also said that Jenelle blames her for not being close with the rest of the cast, when in fact she isolated herself from everyone. It’s definitely a complicated situation, and it only got more complicated when Kailyn expressed concern after Jenelle’s 911 call in which she claimed David had abused her. Since then, Jenelle has been especially cruel, even saying that perhaps they have problems getting along because Kailyn is “confused about her sexuality.” Earlier this month, Kailyn tried to smooth things over by sending Jenelle a PR package of her new haircare line , Pothead Haircare. Jenelle did not appreciate the gesture. Yesterday, she shared a video on Instagram that showed her pouring gasoline all over the products and setting them on fire . “Hey Kail,” she said, standing in her yard and holding a propane torch. “This is to your peace offering.” It was all very embarrassing. Kailyn even benefited from it by announcing a flash sale — 15% off orders if you used the code “LIT” — and she sold tons and tons of products. And she may be benefiting even more, if she’s a fan of karma. Because according to Jenelle’s local police officials, what she did was illegal . As North Carolina law states, “it is always illegal to burn trash and other non-vegetative materials.” Meanwhile, leaves, branches, and things like that can be burned “under certain conditions.” While the whole selling point of Kailyn’s products is that they contain hemp, we doubt Jenelle could use that to get out of trouble with this one. And what’s the penalty for burning things you’re not allowed to burn? Fines up to $25,000. For some reason, Jenelle and David both seem to think that since they own their property, laws don’t apply to them there. That they can do anything they want with no repercussions as long as it’s on their land. It’s a really weird outlook to have, and obviously that’s not the way the law works. Of course, Jenelle has managed to be Jenelle for years and years without experiencing any real consequences, so it seems unlikely that anything will come of her latest dumb move. In her own way, Jenelle has provided her foe with all the free publicity she could ever desire via this gesture. The Teen Mom 2 stars have been at odds with since August when Jenelle appeared to slam Lowry for hooking up with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, after his romane with their fellow castmate Briana DeJesus ended. Prior to marriage, members of the Duggar family are forbidden to engage in any sort of physical contact with members of the opposite sex. But after they tie the knot — something strange happens. No, we’re not talking about the fact that the Duggars immediately begin churning out babies like they’re trying to start their own infant football team. Merry Christmas!” “You’re my fave,” he added. The post is interesting for a number of reasons, not the least of which is all their recent promotional efforts and sponsored content have bolstered the rumor that Jill and Derick are broke . As In Touch Weekly points out , the pic attracted a number of bizarre comments. Many fans noted that this photo was more provocative than what we usually see from Jill and Derick. Some took issue with Derick’s backwards hat (“this isn’t working”), and at least one person thinks Jill and Derick look like brother and sister: “When a beloved married couple live together and share everything,” the follower wrote. “They start to look alike and one is the others soulmate to complete tasks… You both are evolving… LOL.” That “LOL” at the end doesn’t negate the creepiness that preceded it. Joy-Anna Duggar’s struggle to lose weight after giving birth had some fans convinced she was pregnant again already . Well, she has dramatically lost weight, and offers to share her secret with fans. She also reveals that she has already reached an amazing weight loss milestone. Joy-Anna Duggar recently posted a mind-blowing selfie. She has struggled to drop her pregnancy weight, as many mothers do, but her new photo showed her figure looking very trim. Fans wanted to know her secret — and Joy-Anna is willing to talk. “Hey guys!” she writes in her Instagram story. “So I want to share with you what I’ve been doing to lose my baby weight.” It has clearly been working. “A couple months ago,” Joy-Anna shares. “I really wanted to hit it hard and just lose this baby weight.” “I tried exercising,” she reveals. Joy-Anna continues: “I tried dieting.” “And,” she laments. “Nothing was really working.” The reasons why some people struggle to lose weight are complicated, and often come down to time, money, and genetics. In the end, the human body excels at holding on to weight and is reluctant to shed those precious pounds. The tale of her weight loss had several steps, including how she learned of the technique she used. “So,” Joy-Anna shares. “My friend Jessica told me what she had been doing.” She is referring to Jessica Ballinger. “She lost 47 pounds,” Joy-Anna shares, and “feels amazing.” Different people gain and lose very different amounts of weight during pregnancy. “And,” Joy-Anna adds, her friend Jessica “says she has so much energy.” Some crash diets can make people feel exhausted because they are literally malnourishing themselves. Here is where Joy-Anna reveals her major weight loss milestone. “I started it,” she shares. “And I have already gotten down to my pre-pregnancy weight.” That is amazing! “And,” Joy-Anna boasts. “I am still losing weight.” That’s impressive, but we of course hope that she does not take weight loss to any unhealthy extremes. So no, Joy-Anna does not provide details. At times it sounds like she is simply describing a diet, like the keto diet or something similar. At other times, it sounds like she is describing something more involved, like a food plan for which one must pay. There are plenty of people who love their food subscription plans. By now, you’ve probably heard the reports of an intense and ongoing feud between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton . While it’s true that the British tabloid press would probably have these two at each other’s throats even if they were the best of friends, there’s legitimate reason to believe Meg and Kate genuinely dislike one another. For starters, Kensington Palace issued a statement in the feud, which is a virtually unprecedented move by the Royals’ press secretaries. On top of that, Meg and Kate have both been suspiciously silent on the matter. It’s a curious situation, and it’s not hard to see why it’s captured the imagination of royal watchers the world over. Much ink has been spilled on the question of what caused the split, and it seems like — as is usually the case with fractured relationships — there were a number of contributing factors. Last week, we talked about the peace summit that Prince Charles hosted at Anmer Hall last Christmas in hopes of soothing what were then simmering tensions between the two duchesses. Yesterday, we discussed reports that relations broke down for good when Meghan and Kate fought over a dress (specifically, the fit of Princess Charlotte’s dress) just prior to Meg’s wedding. Now, we’re receiving word that there’s another barrier preventing Meghan and Kate from forming a friendship — and it’s been present since the first day they met. There have long been reports that Meghan is “too American” for the Royals’ liking, and it seems Kate finds her Yankee demeanor particularly troublesome. According to People magazine (long the most reliable source on this sort of royal gossip), Kate is often repulsed by Meghan’s brusque way of addressing palace staff. A source close to the situation tells People that royal aides “might not be used to the ‘say-it-as-you-see-it’ American mentality.” A different insider claims that Meghan learned early on that she needs to be outspoken and persistent if she’s going to accomplish the goals she has in mind as Duchess of Sussex. “The palace is a magical place, and it is also a place where all you hear is ‘no, no, no,’ ” says the source . These past two weeks have been a rollercoaster for Larissa, Colt, and all of their fans. Larissa exposed Colt as a cheater , Colt apologized, and then Larissa revealed that Colt is still cheating and is hiding money . But now, Colt is lashing out at followers who dare to criticize him. And Larissa? She’s acting like a Stepford Wife. After the entire world learned that Colt Johnson has been cheating on Larissa with multiple online admirers, Colt apologized . At the time, he said that he’d let his fame get to his head and it looked like he and Larissa were going to try to work things out. Now, his tone is very different. “Look, internet hobos,” Colt begins a very confrontational post. Accompanying his caption is a meme of President Bill Clinton, in an old-fashioned meme format, with the words “did someone say p–sy?” No, we don’t know why Colt is like this, either. “Even though I’m on a TV show,” Colt tells his followers. “I’m still a private person.” If by private , he means the sort who sends photos of his privates to a bunch of random women while he’s married, then sure. “I choose not to share or disclose my intimate moments to you,” he says. He used the word private and then intimate . Is he trolling us or just hilariously lacking self-awareness? “And trust me,” Colt claims. “None of you understand what is going on.” Oh, good. There’s that oh-so-familiar condescending tone that he uses so often on 90 Day Fiance . “I will not take the low road by trying to hurt another person in public,” Colt says. It’s unclear if he’s saying that he won’t insult Larissa, whom he called “bats–t crazy” in a recent 90 Day Fiance episode. Or maybe he intends to blame his apparent harem of Instagram skanks who say that he lied to them about his marital status. “I made mistakes,” Colt acknowledges. Coltee then adds: “I have problems.” No argument here. “But I am not so vile as to openly and freely promote hate speech against someone “I love” or even someone I hate,” he concludes. Colt’s cousin, John Maymoun, told RadarOnline earlier this week that the couple has been filming 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? And they are a great example of why there’s a question mark in the show’s title. “I appear on the show only to bring Debbie a birthday gift and Larissa flowers,” John reveals. Viewers remember John from when he accused Larissa of using Colt to get a Green Card. “Larissa locks herself in the bedroom most of the time,” John shares. John didn’t have much good to share about Colt, even though he’s on his side. “He’s quite passive. I’m not sure he knows exactly what to do. He doesn’t seem happy at all. Debbie locks herself in her room as well.” Though he apologized to Colt for his behavior on 90 Day Fiance, he says that Larissa is “horrible.” “She attacked Colt twice and I don’t believe she loves or respects Colt,” John accuses. Attacking a member of your family is never okay. Though some would ask who does respect Colt. “But if Colt’s stuck with her, I want him to be happy,” John says. “It’s cheaper to keep her!” By Thursday, Larissa had purged her Instagram Stories and even her old posts. Now, she is — in text format only — promising her fans that she’s okay. Some are still worried. She has changed her Instagram display name to Larissa Johnson and uploaded a series of happy, peaceful modeling shots. You know when you see social media accounts by actresses who seem to just travel the world in different dresses and share captions you’d find in a self-help book? Larissa’s new posts all look like that. From a woman who used to live on her Instagram Stories, this is wildly impersonal and a little alarming.
