Teen Mom OG Recap: Catelynn Cries, Bristol Begs

On Teen Mom OG this week… … Bristol Palin and Dakota Meyer went at it once again, arguing over their relationship and its affect on their kids. … Catelynn and Tyler Baltierra inched closer to their unusual and controversial trial separation. … Amber Portwood snapped at Andrew Glennon, just like old times. … Cheyenne Floyd and Cory Wharton stirred up even more drama as they grapple with their romantic future. … Oh, and Maci Bookout and Taylor McKinney were totally fine and normal. Ready for a recap of the dramatic events? Scroll down and let's do this! 1. The Ballad of Bristol and Dakota We’ll start with the most dysfunctional (former) couple of all, as Palin called her ex-husband this week because she hoped they could be “”adults about the situation,” considering three kids were at the center of it. 2. Can We Just Move On, Please? “I know there’s been a lot of hurt and a lot of pettiness on both of our behalfs,” Bristol told Dakota over the phone. “I want to get off on a different foot so we can work together for our girls.” 3. Not Like This, We Can’t Meyer, who did sign up to appear on a reality TV show, didn’t appreciate Brisol reaching out as part of an episode. “Pick up the phone, text me when there’s not cameras around,” he shot back. “Show me that you’re gonna have genuine intentions and it ain’t just for the show to start some drama.” 4. dakota v. bristol Bristol replied she wanted to do it on camera so they’d have “a level of accountability,” which is pretty lame and dumb and untrue, before Meyer agreed to meet up with her to talk about things further. (But not on this episode.) 5. How Was I Ever Married to Her?!? After the call, Meyer vented to a producer as follows: “Bristol’s like a kid. She’s more worried about the court of public opinion than getting in there and let’s be parents to the kids. That’s what the show has done to her. She’s more focused on the show and her image than she is about the best interest of the kids. The kids are fine, this is the pettiness that I have to look forward to forever.” 6. Poor Catelynn Catelynn and Tyler, meanwhile, were preparing to start their separation , as Tyler was getting ready to move out. View Slideshow

Nicki Minaj is Dating a Convicted Sex Offender

Nicki Minaj has a new man in her life. And he has quite the sordid history with the law. On Sunday, the 36-year old rapper went public on Instagram with her latest romance, sharing an intimate photo of herself and Kenneth Petty. Randomly referencing Adele’s “Hello” in the caption, Minaj wrote the following while officially introducing her followers to Petty: Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happens?… it’s no secret… that the both of us… are running out of time. But while Internet users were unfamiliar with Petty until now, many folks in law enforcement have known him for many years. According to court records obtained by TMZ, Petty was convicted of first-degree rape in April of 1995. Both he and his unnamed victim were 16 years old at the time of his horrible incident, which prosecutors say involved Petty using a sharp object to try force his victim to have sexual intercourse. Petty served almost four years in New York state prison for the crime. Years after being released, Petty was convicted of first-degree manslaughter and served another seven years behind bars. He was released in 2013. But that’s not even all. Radar Online reports that Petty was arrested just three months ago for driving with a suspended license and failing to heed a stop sign. Based on legal documents in this case, Petty was slapped with three charges in Nassau County, New York: A pair of infractions and one misdemeanor for “operating an unlicensed vehicle,” “failure to stop at a stop sign,” and “operating a vehicle while license is suspended or revoked.” Petty appeared at the Nassau County First District Court on October 25, 2018 for an arraignment hearing and is due before a judge against on January 8. This most recent run-in obviously pales in comparison to the two that landed Petty in prison. But you would think someone with his past would be as careful as possible going forward, wouldn’t you? Minaj diabled her Instagram comments after receiving so much backlash from people aghast that she would date a convicted sex offender. She has not responded to any of the criticism, but she has said in the past that she basically just wants a guy who will f-ck her three times a night. Anything aside from sex drive is secondary to Minaj, we guess. By a a decent amount, too. Minaj’s own brother, Jelani Maraj, was found guilty in November of 2017 of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. She has also publicly supported rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was sentenced to probation in October for his involvement in a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl. The superstar previously dated rappers Safaree Samuels, Meek Mill and Nas — and she really may wanna think twice about Kenneth Petty.

Nick Cannon Defends Kevin Hart, Calls Out Female Comedians

As you likely know by now, Kevin Hart has resigned as host of the Oscars. But Nick Cannon doesn’t think he should have been forced to do so. Late this past Friday, Cannon defended his good friend by calling out others in the comedy business who have Tweeted negative things about the LGBT community over the years. Hart, of course, has garnered a great deal of backlash over the past week or so after old Tweets and jokes surfaced, many of which were blatantly homophobic. After Hart refused to apologize for these so-called jokes, explaining that he had already addressed them numerous times in the past, he stepped down as emcee of February’s Academy Awards. (And then he compared his situation to the Civil Rights Movement .) Cannon, meanwhile, thinks some kind of double standard is at play here. Sharing a 2010 Tweet by Chelsea Handler that reads “this is what a fag bird likes like when he flexes,” for example, he wrote: “Interesting I wonder if there was any backlash here.” Cannon went on to share a 2012 tweet from Any Schumer, in which the female comedian wrote, “Enjoy skyfall fags. I’m bout to get knee deep in Helen Hunt #thesessions.” “I’m just saying… should we keep going???” the former America’s Got Talent host captioned his message. Cannon also brought up a Tweet Sarah Silverman wrote years ago in which she wrote: “I dont mean this in a hateful way but the new bachelorette’s a faggot.” When an Interner user responded to Cannon with “while you auditing tweets, you need to audit yours!” Cannon replied: “Nope!! You know I’ve been saying f-cked up sh-t since twitter started! I don’t play that politically correct bullsh-t! F-ck politics!! Only Truth!” By saying this, however, Cannon sort of went ahead and demonstrated the entire problem with Hart’s former Tweets and current response to them. When asked about some of her past language, Silverman once said the following: “All I can do is learn from it, be changed forever by it, and do what I can to make it right going forward. Certainly stuff that I did 10 or 15 years ago, I cringe at now.” Conversely, Hart never issued a mea culpa for his homophobic remarks, many of which can’t be considered jokes of any kind. (“One of my biggest fears is my son growing up and being gay,” he once said on stage. “That’s a fear… as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.”) To quote Hart’s good buddy here, it sounds very much like Hart was just speaking his Truth. And that’s the entire problem. This bigot hates gay people. After realizing that his response to the flap could cost him long-term earnings and actually affect his career beyond hosting the Oscars, Hart did finally say the following on Thursday: “I’m sorry that I hurt people. “I am evolving and want to continue to do so… I sincerely apologize to the LGBTQ community and for my insensitive words from the past.” Whatever, Kevin. Kim Kardashian and Alice Marie Johnson: See Them Meet!

Kim Kardashian has done a few things right in her life. Three of them have first names of North, Saint and Chicago. Those kids are adorable and clearly well cared for. The fourth also has a name: Alice Marie Johnson. As you likely know by now, Kim learned about Johnson several months ago and how she was imprisoned for life in Alabama for a first-time drug offense. From there, Kim made it her mission to free Johnson; to earn her clemency from President Donald Trump. The former sex tape star actually met with the Commander–in-Chief in the Oval Office and actually achieved this goal in June. Say whatever you want about Kim – she has earned the wrath of critics for many reasons – but this was something very, very awesome that she managed to do. It's as simple as that. “I feel like my life is starting over again,” Johnson said upon her release, referring to Kim as an “angel” and adding: “She has truly been relentless in her fight for me… this is not a publicity thing for her. She has never stopped fighting for me. She's an incredible woman, an amazing woman.” On this Sunday's Season 5 finale of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, viewers will get to watch Kardashian and Johnson actually meet for the first time. It's a legitimately emotional moment. In the clip featured here, Johnson refers to the reaction she's received as a “lovefest,” while Kim says she has learned “so much about criminal justice.” She thinks the system is messed up. What will she do going forward to help fix it? We don't know. But check out the footage here to see what she has done so far.

Jenelle Evans: A Brief History of Violence and Nonsense

If there's one thing we know about Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2 fame, it's that she never backs down from a confrontation. Sometimes this means a war of words, other times actual violence against those who cross the Carolina Hurricane's path. Below, we've taken a trip down memory lane and relived some of her most turbulent, and violent, moments over the years. Boyfriends, husbands, girlfriends, random people talking s–t … her own mom … no one is safe when it comes to Jenelle. No one. 1. Jenelle Beats the Ever-Loving Crap Out of Britany Truett Savage. Evans was caught on video absolutely annihilating Britany Truett in Oak Branch, N.C., in 2011. She was later arrested after the video surfaced and charged with assault. Deservedly so, given the extent of this beat down. Truett says Jenelle came at her in a fit of jealousy after Evans’ sometime boyfriend Kieffer Delp was flirting with Truett; Delp was arrested the same day as the fight for cocaine possession. 2. Jenelle’s Classic Fight with Tori Rhyne Jenelle Evans has managed to keep one friend for the majority of her time on Teen Mom 2: a girl named Tori Rhyne. But that relationship soon soured, and things were not always great between them even in the best of times. Witness the INSANE, hair-pulling melee that occurred in this infamous scene during which Jenelle was moving out of the residence they shared … Kieffah and Tori’s BF also got in on the action. 3. Jenelle’s Classic Fight with Barbara: I SEE YOU WIFF KIEFFAH! Jenelle Evans and her mother, Barbara, got into a shocking, iconic fight in the first season of Teen Mom 2. This is that fight. Any fan of the show has likely repeated Babs’ quotes from this scene in the years since: I SEE YOU WIFF KIEFFAH! I hope you have fun livin’ in the streets with ya booooooooyfriend! 4. Jenelle Wishes Death Upon an American Soldier Jenelle Evans got into a pretty heated argument during a trip with Nathan Griffith three years ago – a trip meant to celebrate their engagement, believe it or not – and appears to wish death on a U.S. soldier in the process of yelling at him. As the person filming this says, that is some f–ked up s–t right there. 5. Jenelle Evans-David Eason Wedding Fight Long-rumored but never before heard, it’s Teen Mom 2’s Jenelle Evans & David Eason’s explosive pre-wedding fight!!! Crank up the volume and hear them yell at each other like mortal enemies the night before they tied the knot; Jenelle called off the wedding, briefly, but they did go through with it. Dave sounds pretty livid with her at one point. 6. Jenelle vs. Kieffah The mercurial Jenelle Evans and her useless ex-boyfriend Kieffer Delp in more memorable scenes together from Teen Mom 2, 2010-2013. She sure has been with a cast of unsavory characters over the years, but Kieffah may be the most memorable. Not in a good way, just the most memorable. View Slideshow

Maci Bookout Braces Daughter For Frightening Medical Procedure

Back in October, Teen Mom OG fans learned that Maci Bookout's daughter is struggling with health issues. Maci generally prefers to keep her family life private (well, as private as one can while starring on a reality show), so we've received few updates on Jayde Carter's condition. On this week's episode, however, Jayde will undergo a medical procedure that will hopefully correct her respiratory issues. And fans are nearly as nervous about the situation as Maci is. Take a look: 1. Baby Jayde Maci has said little about her daughter’s condition, but we now that Jayde has required a fair bit of medical attention in recent months. 2. Mystery Ailment Little is known about Jayde’s condition, but it’s clearly been a source of stress in the Maci’s household for quite some time. 3. Maci’s Pain Bookout revealed back in October that Jayde had been hospitalized and was now “recovering.” 4. Questions Remain However, she offered little in the way of detail, and it remains unclear if that incident is related to the latest update. 5. Playing Out on Camera The latest update on Jayde’s condition comes to us courtesy of a preview for the upcoming episode of Teen Mom OG. 6. Gosselin Kids Appointed Guardian as Jon-Kate Custody Battle Goes Nuclear

Earlier this week, we reported on the surprising news that Jon Gosselin had been granted custody of his con Collin after Kate Gosselin failed to show up for a hearing. Some took Kate’s absence as a sign that she’s throwing in the towel following a years-long court battle with her ex-husband. But those who have been following Kate closely throughout this ordeal will not be surprised to learn that the famously combative reality star has no intention of giving up the fight. In fact, it seems the only reason Kate wasn’t present in court is that she knew in advance that she had no shot at winning. This news comes to us courtesy of Radar Online, who reports today that the judge in Jon and Kate’s case has become fed up with the increasing nastiness between the exes and has taken a major step toward making the process run more smoothly. Radar reports that a guardian has been appointed to advocate for the couple’s eight children. The ad litem guardian has been described as “a high-profile female attorney” who is apparently not terribly sympathetic to Kate’s argument that Jon is a DJ and should thus never be allowed in the presence of children. (We kid, obviously, but that would be more compelling than some of Kate’s actual arguments.) The ad litem has reportedly been involved in the custody battle since August of 2017 and had previously awarded custody of Hannah Gosselin to Jon . “Once an ad litem was assigned, the judge ruled both Hannah and Collin should be in the custody of Jon,” a source close to the case tells Radar. Hannah moved in with Jon over the summer, a fact that he boasted about in a video posted on social media. “She permanently lives with me,” Jon told the camera. The other six Gosselin children continue to live with Kate. Sources familiar with the case say that Jon’s ultimate goal is to attain full physical custody of all eight of his children. Kate, of course, will continue to fight him on that front, while the rest of will continue to wonder how one supports eight kids on a DJ’s salary.

Cuban Doll: I Never Had a Threesome with Offset!

Cuban Doll would like to be excluded from the Cardi B and Offset narrative. Please and thank you. The little-known rapper (whose real name is NOT Cuban Doll, we just learned) has found herself at the center of a brewing sex scandal in the wake of Cardi B and Offset’s split. The break-up was confirmed this week by Cardi on video , who said she and her husband of about a year simply fell out of love and will remain “friends and business partners.” She did not appear to have any hard feelings against anyone upon announcing this predictable news. BUT THEN… TMZ posted text messages between Offset and someone named Summer Bunni (also, not her real name) that seemed to depict the artist asking this random woman to have a threesome. He wanted this threesome to include himself, Bunni and Cuban Doll. What about Cardi B? She was very pregnant at the time and actually gave birth just a few weeks after this exchange allegedly took place, in July of 2018. Yikes, right? Only Tristan Thompson would be proud of Offset for doing such a thing. Did this threesome actually take place, though? Cuban Doll says she. In fact, she tells TMZ that she’s never even met the now-former Mr. Cardi B. “I don’t know him. I never spoke to him. I never met him,” Doll told TMZ yesterday when stopped and asked about the situation, adding: “I’m just caught in the middle. It’s all based on [Summer Bunni] trying to get clout. It’s all some clout-getting stuff.” Cuban says that she and Bunni used to be friends, but had some kind of falling out and have not been close for awhile. It remains unclear whether Bunni provided TMZ with the text message above, but Summer has since tried to apologize for her role in Cardi and Offset’s separation. The Instagram user basically admitted on Wednesday that she was screwing around with Offset on her own at least, but stopped doing so after he and Cardi welcomed their daughter. “I never wanted to break up a happy home or be a cause of someone just saying, like, ’F—k it,’ to get a divorce or anything like that,” she adds, explaining that she didn’t think the marriage was very serious. (We’re pretty sure that view is antithetical to the entire defintion of marriage, but whatevs.) Neither Cuban Doll nor Summer Bunni have talked to Cardi B about this gigantic mess. Doll told TMZ, however, that the superstar singer knows she had “nothing to do” with Offset, while Bunni has confessed to the opposite. She totally did Offset. But she’s very sorry for it. Bunni penned the message below on Instagram in response… … and she says she would like Cardi to know the following: I would like her to know that I’m a very genuine person and I’m not here to break up her family, or mess up what she has going on with her husband and I’m very sorry that this has happened. I’m very sorry that I didn’t think about my worth as a young lady and I just hope that she can overcome this. I know that her and Offset actually do have love for each other; I can tell. So I just hope that, with this, she can just focus on her love for Offset.

Shannon Beador Exposed Having a Secret Boyfriend!

At the reunion special for The Real Housewives of Orange County , Tamra Judge claimed to have caught Shannon Beador in a lie . Tamra claimed that Shannon had been seeing a boyfriend while filming the season, but kept him secret so she could “play the victim card.” She lays out her claims in the shocking video that we have attached. At the reunion, Tamra Judge lobbed a bombshell accusation at Shannon. The former friends feuded on camera as Tamra claimed that Shannon had kept her secret boyfriend hidden. She accused Shannon of hypocrisy, saying that she'd acted distraught over David dating so soon after their divorce but that she was, too. In Tamra's eyes, it looked like Shannon was trying to milk people were sympathy during her tumultuous divorce. Also, as Gina pointed out, it looked like Shannon was hiding part of her personal life from the viewers and from Bravo. Is this really the case? Did Shannon have a secret boyfriend? They can't be talking about Scot Matteson. Scot, whom Shannon began dating this summer, was still spotted everywhere with Shannon as recently as October. There are photos of him with Shannon and with Andy Cohen, possibly as the filming of the reunion special. Scot is a real estate developer and is known for being a family man. At no point did it appear that Shannon was keeping him secret, with other Housewives speaking about him publicly over the summer. So we'll have to look a bit further back than this. What about Alex? Shannon went on some dates with him during the Spring of 2018. The two attended music events but, ultimately, things did not work out. Some speculated that, since Scot may have been in the audience for Tamra's accusations, that Shannon's secret ex was Alex. While it's possible that Tamra was referring to him, Shannon didn't really keep him secret. She made it clear that she was keeping him off of the show, but she did share photos of the two of them together on Instagram. It looks like Shannon's mystery man was probably not someone whom she's shown on social media. This is a guy whom she characterizes as having “treated her like crap,” even though she had fancied him at the time. (It sounds like poor Shannon has a type ) Shannon objected to Tamra's characterization of this dude as a “boyfriend.” As some women learn to their chagrin, going on a couple of dates with a guy is not the same thing as being boyfriend and girlfriend. Shannon's relationship, such as it was, fizzled out before it went anywhere. Tamra was being kind of ridiculous. The whole reason that this came up was because of the discussion of David Beador's new girlfriend, Lesley Cook. Lesley is reportedly pregnant (and David and Lesley may be engaged ), which obviously came up at the reunion. Shannon being upset at David finding a new love by New Years isn't somehow hypocritical if she went on some dates earlier in the year. There are different tiers of dating. Putting a baby in someone on purpose and taking international vacations, which David has been doing, is not the same as going to a concert. Tamra should know that. Gina Kirschenheiter, a newcomer to the franchise and a fan favorite, felt that Shannon was probably obligated to share her life with the show. That's true for some things — as Real Housewife of Atlanta Kenya Moore learned last year when she had a secret wedding. But, as Vicki was quick to point out to Gina, you don't have to share everything from your life. A few dates with a guy is not the same as having a boyfriend, it's not something that you have to put on camera. Gina may have felt like she wasted her time with a matchmaker, and her feelings are valid, but Shannon wasn't trying to trick her. It's said that Shannon and Tamra will make nice in the next installment of the reunion. But we already know that this peace doesn't last.

Jessica Simpson to Natalie Portman: Stop Slut-Shaming Me!

Here’s an unexpected blast-from-the-past feud that’s sure to delight all you ’90s kids. Or it’s a very serious matter that speaks to the delicate issues of these divisive times. This is kind of a “choose your own adventure” story in that way. Natalie Portman and Jessica Simpson are still A-listers, but in 1999, they were two of the biggest names on the planet. And it seems that their careers and public images were headed in divergent directions even way back then. Natalie gave an interview to USA Today  this week as part of her promotional tour for her upcoming film Vox Lux . The movie is about a teen who unexpectedly becomes a pop star, so perhaps it should come as no surprise that Natalie remarked on one of the biggest pop stars from her own teen years: “I remember being a teenager, and there was Jessica Simpson on the cover of a magazine saying ‘I’m a virgin’ while wearing a bikini, and I was confused,” she told the newspaper. “Like, I don’t know what this is trying to tell me as a woman, as a girl.” It was an odd (though not necessarily offensive) remark, and Jessica was quick to clap back: “@Natalieportman I was disappointed this morning when I read that I ‘confused’ you by wearing a bikini in a published photo taken of me when I was still a virgin in 1999,” Simpson wrote on Instagram.  “As public figures, we both know our image is not totally in our control at all times, and that the industry we work in often tries to def8ine us and box us in,” she added. “However, I was taught myself, and honor the different ways all women express themselves,” she said. “Which is why I believed then, and believe now, that being sexy in a bikini is not synonymous with having sex.” “I have always embraced being a role model to all women to let them know that they can look however they want, wear whatever they want and have sex or not have sex with whomever they want. “The power lies within us as individuals.” Simpson concluded with a not-so-subtle allegation that Natalie is a hypocrite for making such comments despite her high-profile involvement with the Time’s Up movement. “I have made it my practice to not shame other women for their choices,” Simpson posted. “In this era of Times Up and the great work you have done for women, I encourage you to do the same.” Yeah, as much as we love Natalie, and as much as she may have intended no harm, we’re afraid Ms. Portman is gonna have to go ahead and take the L on this one. Jessica was a sex symbol in the late ’90s, a time in which young female pop stars were encouraged to dress and dance provocatively, all while insisting on their chastity and purity in interviews. It was a gross trend, but Jessica certainly wasn’t to blame for it, and she shouldn’t be forced to answer for it 20 years later. As a result of this misstep, Natalie will be forced to surrender half of her woke points and attend compulsory classes at the Lena Dunham Institute for Re-Wokening.
