But today (August 6), we learned has already renewed the Donald Glover-helmed series for a fourth season. Deadline reports that the news was revealed at FX’s presentation at the TCA summer press tour. Production for both season 3 and 4 is set to begin next spring, with each series consisting of eight episodes. “What more can be said about Atlanta than the critical acclaim and accolades that Donald, Paul, Dianne, Stephen and Hiro have earned for two exceptional seasons of what is clearly one of the best shows on television,” said FX Entertainment President Eric Schrier. “This group of collaborators and cast have created one of the most original, innovative stories of this generation and we are proud to be their partners.” Season 2, dubbed ‘Atlanta Robbin’ Season,’ wrapped up way back in May 2018. Meanwhile, damn near the entire main cast—besides Glover; Brian Tyree Henry, Lakeith Stanfield and Zazie Beatz—have become certified stars.
Source: Rodin Eckenroth / Getty Billy Ray Cyrus Was Forced To Change One Of His Lines On “Old Town Road” Billy Ray Cyrus is known for being a legend in the world of country music–but more recently, he’s been making headlines for everything surrounding his contributions to Lil Nas X’s smash hit, “Old Town Road.” Last week, the legendary musician did an interview with Taste Of Country , where he talked about how he discovered Lil Nas X, what he thought of “Old Town Road” the first time he heard it, why he decided to jump on the song, and more. Beside the usual discussion surrounding the record breaking song, Billy Ray Cyrus also revealed some brand new information about his process when making his contribution. According to the Kentucky native, the writing process for his verse took only about “eight to ten minutes” for him to do in its entirety. Once he was finished putting pen to paper, the record label was mostly happy with it, except for one line. “For some reason I thought it would be funny to say, ‘Baby’s got a habit: diamond rings and marijuana,’” the country singer revealed to Taste Of Country . “See? I thought it was funny. That song could’ve DONE something,” he continued as the hosts laughed. The label ended up coming back to Billy with some simple notes about his verse: “everything but the marijuana.” In the end, after establishing that putting a line about weed in the song probably wouldn’t be their best move, somebody suggested that Billy say “Fendi sports bras” instead of “marijuana.” “And I thought, well, it’s probably good, because I don’t know what that is,” Cyrus explained to the hosts. Here’s how that section of Cyrus’ verse sounds today: “Hat down, cross town, livin’ like a rockstar/ Spent a lot of money on my brand new guitar/ Baby’s got a habit: diamond rings and Fendi sports bras/ Ridin’ down Rodeo in my Maserati sports car” And that’s how we ended up with the “Old Town Road” verse we know and love today. As we all already know by now, Lil Nas X’s single has been breaking non-stop records, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for the 18th week in a row, beating out “Despacito” by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee , featuring Justin Bieber , and “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men , which ruled for 16 weeks each, in 2017 and 1995-96, respectively. Would the song still be just as successful if Billy kept that line about marijuana in there? Who knows. But right now, it’s unstoppable.

Parker Mustian, 16, posted a video last month filled with hateful rhetoric while threatening gun violence against Black men. Local outlet WOLO-TV reports : A local 16-year-old has been charged with ‘Student Threats,’ after videos were shared of him making racial and violent threats. The teen was a student of Cardinal Newman School, but is now banned from the property. Although these events transpired last month, school parents were just made aware of the investigation this past weekend, and now one of the racially-charged videos is going viral on social media. According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, the teen was taken to the juvenile wing of Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center on July 17. The 5th Circuit Solicitor’s Office said it cannot release any update on the status of the case because it involves a minor. Cardinal Newman Principal Robert Loia says in a letter sent to families Sunday, that it’s important to clarify the timeline surrounding the threatening videos. On July 13, Cardinal Newman School leaders were contacted by a parent of a student that had received a graphic and racist video made by the 16-year-old male student. In the video, the teen is shown shooting a box of Jordan’s, which he says ‘is the favorite pair of shoes for a black man.’ Right. Initially, the sheriff’s department didn’t view Mustian’s video as a criminal act but when Mustian threatened to shoot up the school after being withdrawn by his parents instead of facing expulsion while accepting a ban from its property, only then did police decide to arrest the boy on July 17. In preparation for her next tour stop, the singer’s team was flying from Norway to Denmark in a Cessna 560XL when things took a dark turn, this according to TMZ . “P!nk’s manager and other members of her tour team were among the 10 aboard the Cessna 560XL. They were coming from her concert in Oslo Monday night, on their way to Denmark to prepare for her next tour stop. Thankfully, everyone on the jet escaped without injuries. Per reports, which were scarce this morning, the 25-year-old was at Circle House Studios in Miami working on music. When she was leaving in her Mercedes G-Wagon late in the evening, a gift from her partner, producer Southside (aka, 808), the car was shot at a number of times. Perhaps the car was bulletproof, as it seems that Brownlee, who is pretty far along in her pregnancy with her second child, is okay. She was recorded explaining her ordeal to someone at the scene. Smh wow prayers for her and baby 808’s protection.” This incident comes about a week after she responded to incarcerated and fellow Florida-based rapper Kodak Black’s threats to punch her in her stomach . “And I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808’s baby/When I see her I’mma hit that b—h in her stomach/The way I keep this shit too real f–kin’ up my money,” he said in a freestyle from jail. She, of course wasn’t with the shenanigans, but kept her thoughts on the troubled rapper’s comments brief when responding on social media: “Poor a– n—a Kodak ain’t dust s–t!” This seems to be a very volatile time for the expectant mom out of the blue. There are rumblings online that after Southside spoke out against Kodak in defense of her, he was threatened, and the shooting could have been part of that. It may be in her best interest to lay low as she finishes up her pregnancy — or at least get some tight security. She hasn’t said anything publicly since the incident, but fans are hopeful that everything is fine with the “Act Up” rapper. Fans are also pretty pissed. So we were excited to learn that Jackson and Turner-Smith may soon be tying the knot. According to Daily Mail reports Joshua and Jodie were spotted getting what appeared to be a marriage license in Beverly Hills from a courthouse on Friday. Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days, so it’s looking likely they’ll be man and wife before her first film hits theaters. The couple, who have been dating since being introduced at Usher’s 40th birthday bash last fall aren’t immune to tabloid troubles. In June, US Weekly published photos of Jackson smooching a mystery woman he was dropping off at LAX. Clearly he’s been able to work things out with Jodie since then, we’re definitely hoping the relationship is in a healthy space before swirly matrimony-dom commences! Congrats to Josh and Jodie.
