According to The Smoking Gun , a 19-year-old Memphis boy has been arrested for forcibly reaching into his grandmother’s panties and stealing $10. You read every single word of that correctly. Jared Otte’s grandmother refused to give him the money he was demanding, so Jared pushed her down on the bed, held her down, raiser her dress and removed $10 from her undergarments according to the police report. The elderly woman was bruised during the struggle. Jared has been charged with felony robbery and is being held on $10,000 bail. People. Ain’t S#!T.
Source: Andrew Lichtenstein / Getty Five Gang Members Receive Life Sentences in ‘Junior’ Guzman-Feliz’s Murder It looks like #JusticeForJunior is finally being served. Today, five members of the Trinitarios gang were handed lengthy prison sentences for the murder of Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz , the 15-year-old who was attacked outside of a bodega in the Bronx back in 2018. According to the reports from the New York Times , 19-year-old Manuel Rivera was sentenced to 23 years to life prison, while his co-defendants—Antonio Rodriguez Hernandez Santiago, 25; Jose Muniz, 23; and Elvin Garcia, 25—all received 25 years to life. 25-year-old Jonaiki Martinez Estrella was handed the heaviest sentence (life in prison without parole) as the one who allegedly plunged a knife into Guzman-Feliz’s neck and ultimately killed him. The announcement of these sentences comes nearly four months after the five gang members were found guilty of first-degree murder, second-degree murder, second-degree conspiracy, and second-degree gang assault. As of now, according to reports from The Times , eight other defendants are still awaiting trial. On June 20, 2018, surveillance video captured Feliz-Guzman running into a bodega in the Bronx. He was followed by five men who ended up dragged him out of the shop and onto to the sidewalk, where others were waiting. Security cameras from nearby buildings captured them attacking the 15-year-old, stabbing him with small knives and machetes. After the gang members fled the scene, Junior managed to get to the nearby St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead only minutes after arriving. According to law enforcement, the attackers had mistaken Feliz-Guzman for a rival gang member.

Charli XCX is some useless popstar that doesn’t matter, because apparently we don’t have enough of those. It is one of the really garbage things that social media has created. You know talentless idiots now get to have long lasting careers because their followers don’t unfollow them. It’s like old porno sites back in the day, once they got your credit card, you were fucking screwed, just billing over and over and over with no way to cancel it, so you just sort of accept it as your new normal, and give into it, and jerk off to it, cuz you’re paying for it. Long gone are the one hit wonders, even if they have one hit, cuz they are never fucking forgotten, like Charli XCX who posts weird sleazy shit she finds funny, quirky, or hot….when she should have been put out to popstar who barely was pasture long ago… JOIN THE NEWSLETTER YOU ASSHOLES! Comedian Sherri Shepherd is pretty frustrated with her baby daddy. The 52-year-old found a humorous way to show her level of “fed up” although we aren’t quite sure which baby daddy the vitriol is aimed at. Shepherd was married to Jeff Tarpley for nine years and they share a child together. They split in 2010. “The View” alum was quickly remarried in 2011 to Lamar Sally. The two had planned to have a child via surrogate, but when they decided to divorce in 2015, a court ruled that Shepherd was the legal parent of the child. Both of these situations would give any woman a case of the upsets, so Shepherd jokingly ran around a trailer screaming: “My mood after dealing w my son’s father #singlemomdrama #babydaddyissues #jesustakethewheel.” View this post on Instagram My Walking Dead audition or my date just ghosted me… you caption this! In the aftermath of Sofia Richie's Keeping Up With The Kardashians debut , Kourtney Kardashian is dealing with something much more serious. Someone has been robbing her blind. We're talking about someone physically in her house, stealing cash and an iPad. In this preview clip, you can see her concerns as she wonders which person has betrayed her trust. This Keeping Up With The Kardashians sneak peek starts off almost unimaginably boring. Khloe is talking about wanting to retire her cookie jars, lamenting that “everyone has them now.” (Refusing to do something because it's popular is not morally superior to doing something because it is not . Both are dumb) That's when Megan, Kourtney's dutiful assistant, saves the day and the scene when she reports some bad news. Some of Kourtney's money — specifically, her cash — is missing. “Kourt?” Megan begins tentatively. She reveals: “So, we discovered that there was cash missing from your wallet.” While that's better than money being siphoned from one of Kourtney's massive bank accounts, that's still very alarming. “So,” Megan continues. “I don’t know if you spent it out the other night?” That suggested answer would be so much simpler. Money spent is much less scary than money stolen. “Umm, I specifically handed $20 to the valet,” Kourtney recalls. She continues: “And I had hundreds, and I threw them back into my bag,” Megan then delivers the very bad news. “There’s no hundreds there right now,” she grimly announces. “Is there any chance you could’ve lost the money?” Khloe asks, hoping for the simpler explanation. She suggests to her eldest sister: “Like, do you think it fell, or…” “It was definitely there,” Kourtney confirms. There's a brief transition, and Kourtney says: “You know when you just know? Like, I know for a fact.” “That’s crazy!” Khloe exclaims. “I don’t know.” Kourtney then speaks on this very serious matter to the konfessional kamera. “The fact that money is missing from my wallet definitely doesn’t feel like a coincidence,” she admits. Because she suspects that this thief has also made off with more than just currency. Kourt recalls: “We had an iPad missing in the house too,” We then see a flashback to her looking for her iPad and being unable to find it. “You know, I have people in and out of my house all day,” Kourtney points out. Some are family, some are friends, some are employees, and others are camera crew and producers for K eeping Up With The Kardashian s. Kourt says that these are all “People that I trust.” “Something just isn’t right,” she expresses. A thief nabbing physical cash may not be able to rob her of as much as someone getting into her accounts would. But the actual, physical presence of a thief in Kourtney's own home would make anyone understandably nervous. So who is it? Well, this sneak peek does not reveal the culprit's identity. Honestly? Even with what most people would consider a very nice salary, it's possible that a PA or other employee was desperate enough to steal. But in a normal household, a young child would usually be the most likely suspect. Not because Kourtney's wonderful children are prone to crime, but because young kids recognize the value of money, but generally lack impulse-control. And an iPad going missing is even easier to explain if a child wants to stream shows after bedtime. But we're obviously not accusing her kids. But given that this is Keeping Up With The Kardashians and they've chosen to air the footage, the answer may be something no one expects.
And I don’t know if that’ a good thing or not. On one hand – tits are great. Fun to look at and all that other shit that has allowed women with tits to be celebrated. We are dudes and we are drawn to them…and the reality is…so are women…it’s obviously some instinct shit that happened when we were children and that we are coded to feel…so next time a girl says “my eyes are up here” walk her through your genetic coding and how you need to crave tits as a child to survive as a species…and you don’t ever grow out of that. Source: Sasha Nialla / Courtesy of NABU We all know that reading is fundamental; however, it’s also important for children to see themselves in the stories that they read. In 2017, only 7% of children’s books were published by Black, LatinX or indigenous authors. As we move towards a more diverse population, the lack of representation across the diaspora in books is appalling. Non-profit organization NABU saw this inconsistency and decided to help close the diversity gap with NABU Publishing. Source: NABU Team Photo / Courtesy of NABU NABU Publishing is founded by Taniya Benedict, Tanyella Evans, and Isabel Shein. Together these women are making sure that reading is not only accessible but also representative of marginalized communities. Benedict who is the Director of Global Operations and Programs shared, “The significance of seeing one’s reality in a storybook, should not be taken lightly. When you grow up reading in your mother-tongue, and actively seeing yourself represented in illustrations, you develop self-confidence that is unbound and powerful. You begin to believe that you are the creator of your own destiny, and this intrinsic belief ultimately leads to self-actualization.” Currently, only 13% of children’s books published in the US in the last 25 years contain any kind of multicultural content. NABU publishing is actively changing this. The publishing company was birthed when the co-creators of NABU realized how much talent was in Haiti and Rwanda. They created a network of authors and illustrators who are creating engaging children’s stories for their respective local markets (and in their local languages) to help increase and encourage literacy amongst children. NABU Publishing is helping to take this a step further by translating the stories into bilingual English editions for the US children’s book market. This is incredible for second generation children and parents who want to make sure their children have diverse books or books with characters represented from their home country. Source: NABU Book / Courtesy of NABU Every month, they will be releasing two new children’s books from up and coming authors and illustrators. To launch their program, today, on International Day Of The Girl, NABU Publishing chose two stories from their Haitian collection: Princess Maniya and Lila Plays Soccer. The books feature the original Haitian Creole and English translation side by side and strong girl protagonists. What a way to promote and encourage bilingual behavior amongst children! Given that NABU is a non-profit, the proceed from the books will fund NABU’s early childhood literacy work in Haiti as well as enable them to commission more creatives to create books in their language. Source: NABU Book / Courtesy of NABU The organization is even going a step further by utilizing a one-to-one model. For each book that is sold, NABU will give a free digital copy to children in Haiti who are reading on tablets and smartphones. If you look on the back of each book, you’ll find a QR code and readers can see a live tracking of how many pages children in the NABU programs have read! So cool. There are over 7,000 languages spoken in the world today and almost half of them are in danger of extinction. For Black communities, story telling has often been a way of passing down traditions, history and more. This is the direct way that culture survives. By creating NABU Publishing, the organization is encouraging the preservation of languages, traditions, and overall culture so that the next generation can benefit and thrive. While your children may have access to books, there are many that do not. Purchase a copy for your child here and a digital copy will be sent to a child in Haiti. If you want to go a step further, you can donate $50.00 to NABU and it gives one child and their family access to reading materials in their mother tongue. If $50.00 is too much at the moment, you can donate $7.00 a month (that’s less than your Spotify subscription), which will give one hour of reading a day for a child. Click here to donate . We love organizations that support young Black girls to see themselves, their strength, and their potential. Learning fundamental life skills and resilience through reading is an easy way to build our next doctors, lawyers, engineers, CEO’s and Presidents. You can find out more information at www.nabu.org .
