New Behind-The-Scenes Photo of American Reunion: Jason Biggs and Alyson Hannigan Reunited

Here at Movieline, we own our excitement for the next American Pie installment and make crude Stifler jokes about naysayers. I had sex with your mom, naysayers. Is what I’m saying. Mad Love survivor Jason Biggs tweeted a picture of himself on set with his movie bride Alyson Hannigan, and the result is way cute. Speaking of Jason Biggs’ Twitter, can we talk about it? His Twitter account, I mean? I have several big thoughts about it.

Sarah Palin Movie Coming Soon to Theater, Presidential Campaign Near You

For a while now, Sarah Palin has been the X-factor in the quest for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012. The former Alaska governor has a few hurdles to clear before officially declaring her candidacy — not the least of which is her abdication of her office in 2009 with more than a year left in her term, which raised concerns in the GOP about her ability to lead and/or follow through. But! That’s nothing a pro-Palin documentary — made with her cooperation and debuting next month — shouldn’t be able to fix.

Hailee Steinfeld Plays My Favorite Scene With Movieline

Last year at this time, Hailee Steinfeld was just finishing work on her first feature film — Joel and Ethan Coen’s magnificent True Grit — and was unknowingly enjoying her last few months of anonymity. Since the film’s December release, the one-time Kmart commercial star has been on a nonstop red carpet tour from the Oscars to the BAFTA s to last week’s Young Hollywood Awards , where Movieline played a lightning round of My Favorite Scene with the poised 14-year-old actress.

Hong Kong’s Blockbuster 3-D Smut Coming to America

The soft-core smash Sex and Zen 3-D: Extreme Ecstasy — a/k/a “the world’s first 3-D erotic film” that trumped even Avatar ‘s opening-day box-office record in Hong Kong — has an appointment with the States. U.S. distributor China Lion announced the acquisition today; the deal was brokered at this year’s Cannes market. “It is just like [being a] voyeur near someone’s bed,” said one producer, greasing the skids for the eventual theatrical landing. A release date is forthcoming, as are S&Z ‘s viewers, presumably. [ China Lion ]

Friday Box Office: Thor Takes The Crown Again; Bridesmaids Settle Into Second Place

It was another happy Friday in the halls as Asgard (especially for Frigg) as Thor stayed at number one with a (relatively) slim decline from its blockbuster first weekend. The fartin’ ladies of Bridesmaids notched a strong debut at second place while the vamps of Priest could only scare up a fourth place start. Your Friday box office is here.

CANNES REVIEW: Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is Both Good-Natured and Exhausting

Rob Marshall’s Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides is the most modest picture in the Pirates franchise since the 2003 Curse of the Black Pearl — which doesn’t mean it’s necessarily modest. On Stranger Tides , shot in 3-D, offers more muted special effects, more swashbuckling and swordplay and perhaps fewer needless plot twists than either the 2006 Dead Man’s Chest or the 2007 At World’s End . Both of those movies took everything that was casual and fun about the first picture and shackled it with million-dollar handcuffs. They were expensive-looking and clumsy, out to impress us rather than settle for anything so mundane as to simply entertain us.

Chris Hemsworth Nails Down The Role Of Huntsman Opposite Kristen Stewart’s Snow White

Don’t worry, Snow, someday your prince will come…in the form of strapping God of Thunder it turns out. The long-rumored frontrunner Chris Hemsworth has indeed finally been officially cast as the Huntsman (not to be confused with the Republican candidate for president or an heir to the Manwich fortune) in the Kristin Stewart-led Snow White and the Huntsman , one of the roughly 137 different “edgy” Snow White adaptations being bandied about. Take A First Look At Cameron Diaz & Colin Firth In Gambit

Could the upcoming Gambit be the most talent-stuffed movie since Inception ? Written by the Coen Brothers, starring Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Colin Firth and co-starring Stanley Tucci and Cloris Leachman, it’s like the Expendables for the NPR set. Firth stars as an art curator who plans to con England’s wealthiest man (Rickman) into buying a fake Monet with the help of Diaz as a Texas rodeo queen. Sounds awesome, so it’s a pity the first picture looks like Diaz and Firth are posing for their Senior Superlatives yearbook photo (Most Uncomfortable, perhaps?) Take a look!
