In case you’ve been wondering, a new study published in the journal of Nature Genetics suggests that the age at which we lose our virginity may be partially contingent upon genetics. According to researchers, who analyzed more than 150,000 individuals in the U.K. and more than 250,000 in the U.S., there are at least 38 gene regions that have an influence on when a person has their first sexual encounter. Some of the genes had to do with puberty and hormones, while others, surprisingly, were related to physical appearance and personality. Genes that had an effect on how inclined a person was to engage in risk-taking behavior were also a factor… “We were able to calculate for the first time that there is a heritable component to age at first sex, and the heritability is about 25%, so one-quarter nature, three-quarters nurture,” explained an author of the study, John Perry, in a chat with The Guardian… [ MadameNoire ] Only 11% Of Women Love Everything About Their Hair And Wouldn’t Change It Have you ever googled “beautiful hair” and looked at the images that pop up? Three More Men Accuse Afrika Bambaataa Of Sexual Abuse After an explosive allegation that Afrika Bambaataa repeatedly sexually abused a man when he was a young boy, three more men have stepped forward with their own stories accusing him of sexual misconduct when they were children . Each man once thought they were the sole victim…but the news breaking inspired each to come forward… Via NYDN : Hassan Campbell and several other men told The News last week that they were sexually abused by Bambaataa, the South Bronx hip-hop pioneer whose 1982 hit “Planet Rock” helped turn rap music into an international phenomenon. The men stepped forward after The News published a story last Sunday about former music industry executive and Democratic Party activist Ronald Savage, who claims Bambaataa abused him at least five times in 1980, inflicting deep emotional wounds. “I know what Ronald Savage is saying is true because he did it to me,” said a 50-year-old New York man who requested anonymity. “I have never spoken to anybody about this and when I did, I said ‘Holy s—, they finally caught up to him.’” While Afrika and his Zulu Nation organization insist that these allegations are all part of plot by the US Government to discredit him and his work, more men — choosing to remain anonymous — corroborate the claims with stories of their own: A 51-year-old former New Yorker named Troy, who asked that his last name not be used in this story, told The News Bambaataa abused him, too. “I still have a lot of anger about this,” said Troy, who lives in North Carolina. “I’ve been dealing with this for years. It’s a shame this didn’t come out earlier.” Campbell and Bambaataa’s other accusers all say the music star showed them pornographic pictures or videos and then performed oral sex on them. “He showed me a book with a picture of a penis and said, ‘You don’t have to be gay for me to suck your d—,” Troy said. According to a source, Jackson, 49, is getting ready to become a mom. “Janet has put her fans first her whole life. They are her world and, of course, she is devastated that she had to postpone the tour for another year,” the insider said. “But Janet’s health crisis this year really made her much more aware of her age,” the source told Radar. “She is approaching 50 and at this stage of her life all that she wants is to become a mother.” According to the Jackson family insider, “Janet postponed her tour because she is going to be adopting a child or using a surrogate to have a baby in the next couple of months,” with billionaire husband Wissam Al Mana. “She is devoted to her husband and has decided to put his needs before her own needs right now,” the source added. “He really wants to start a family with her.” We’re glad to hear that Janet and Wissam may at least attempt to have a biological child, but we welcome a new addition to the family how ever they’re able to make it happen.
