Paul Prudhomme – the famed chef best known for his various PBS cooking shows and national landmark New Orleans restaurant – has passed away at the age of 75. Prudhomme is widely credited with popularizing New Orleans-style cuisine nationwide, and some even say he’s the man most responsible for the foodie trend that’s given us everything from more exotic menu options to celebrity chefs such as Anthony Bourdain and Alton Brown. “Paul was the one who not only put Louisiana food…Cajun and Creole food, on the map, but he was also the one who started the American food revolution that flourishes today,” Louisiana chef and radio show host Poppie Tooker said today. When Prudhomme was named executive chef of the legendary New Orleans restaurant Commander’s Palace in 1975, restaurants nationwide took it as a sign that upscale establishments no longer needed a French chef at the helm in order to be taken seriously. Prudhomme went on to introduce dishes like the turducken and blackened redfish to amateur American chefs. The latter became so popular that limits had to be imposed in order to keep the redfish from going extinct. His tremendous influence is currently evident on Twitter, where professional and amateur chefs, restauranteurs and fans of good food the world over are paying tribute to the man brought the flavors of New Orleans to kitchens across the globe. Viral video star Andrew Caldwell alleges that he is a one-time homosexual lover of former NFL and Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kordell Stewart. For years, Kordell Stewart gay rumors surfaced off and on, even (or especially) in the midst of his marriage to RHOA star Porsha Williams. Now Caldwell, who made headlines with a viral video in which he declared that he had been “delivered” from his homosexuality, says the two dated. “I don’t like mens no more,” Caldwell famously declared, adding that “I like women women women!” (Caldwell has since admitted that he’s still gay.) Now he’s making news with a different proclamation. “ I dated Kordell ,” he said in an interview with The ShakeUP Morning Show, adding that their affair was short-lived … but he made the most of it! “I had everything that Porsha got… I had bags, purses, cars. I’m in a Jaguar right now. Honey, did you see that Jaguar over there?” Caldwell explained how he and Kordell allegedly met. “We was at a bar,” he says of himself and presumably some of his friends. “We was at a restaurant and I was like, ‘Oh my God, that’s Kordell.’ “They was like, ‘Yeah, he’s a football player.’ I was like, ‘Mmm… I like football players… I dated other football players too, I dated some of the Rams.” Caldwell also admitted that he knew Kordell was married to Williams at the time, but isn’t all that sympathetic, adding: “I think she is a gold digger.” “Girl, you know your husband was gay.” Again, rumors that Porsha was Kordell’s beard were commonplace during their marriage, but seemed like nonsense tabloid fodder … until now. Although the film covers West African women specifically, all people with bi-cultural influences can relate to the content. The film facilitates dialogue between immigrants and their children with non-immigrants about what it means to adapt and grow in a diverse and complex environment from their perspectives. Andrew Caldwell Says He Dated Kordell Stewart Just when we thought the “delivert” diva Andrew Caldwell had faded into internet obscurity, he popped back on the scene with a new interview dropping bombshells on his experience in the church and his dating past in his “pre-delivery” days. In the interview, Andrew spills the beans on the freak-fest that is Holy Convocation, and also reveals that before the Lord swooped in and took him away from his desire for “mens,” he had multiple affairs with Atlanta’s pastors and NFL players — including Porsha Williams’ ex-husband, Kordell Stewart while the two were still married. Warren Sapp To Plead Guilty To Domestic Violence Charge According to a TMZ report, ex-NFL meathead Warren Sapp has negotiated a plea deal in the domestic violence case against him. If you recall, Sapp was charged with stomping his girlfriend’s head during an argument that took place in Las Vegas earlier this year. The agreement states that 2 of his 3 charges will be dropped if he enters a guilty plea. He will be forced to complete a 6-month domestic violence course as well as 48 hours of community service.
