NFL Hall of Famer Franco Harris & Lydell Mitchell hosted the “Immaculate Reception & Dinner Presented by Hennessy V.S” in New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend. The exclusive event raised funds for two charities, Warriors to Citizens & Clearview Legacy Foundation. Celebrities in attendance included Hall of Famer Julius “Dr.J” Erving, Barry Sanders, Jim Brown and Hines Ward. The elite former athletes were spotted smoking cigars and enjoying specialized Hennessy V.S signature cocktails including the Hennessy VS #32 names after Franco Harris & the Hennessy VS # 26 in honor of Lydell Mitchell. It looks like the on/off/on/off/on/off/on/off/on/off couple may be back together, again, after Gomez was seen leaving the Bieb’s place this morning. Walk of shame style! In a yellow cardigan, pink sneakers and black hat, the petite brunette kept her face hidden from cameras as she piled into his car with the help of Bieber’s bodyguard. “Selena looks like a young girl in love,” said a celebrity gossip photographer from agency X17 who identified Gomez. “Obviously he’s trying to win her back.” “Sending her home in his car and everything … he’s giving her the royal treatment.” If so, it’s a drastic change of pace from “Baby” singer, at least lately. Justin Bieber, 18, and Selena Gomez , 20, actually hadn’t been together in a month. The duo broke up in early December but then got back together just before Christmas for a ski vacation … only to split again in January for unknown reasons. Selena recently said she has been “having a good time” since their most recent split … but apparently she’s having a better time getting it in with JB. Fox News and the NRA butted heads over gun control this morning. NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre reiterated his organization’s claim that all children deserve the same amount of protection that the President Obama’s daughters receive. Host Chris Wallace responded, “That’s ridiculous and you know it, sir.” Chris Wallace-Wayne LaPierre Interview on Fox news The interview got particularly heated when Wallace brought up the controversial NRA ad labeling Obama an elitist hypocrite for opposing armed security in schools. “They also face a threat that most children do not face,” Wallace said of Obama’s daughters, Malia and Sasha, who receive Secret Service protection. “Tell that to the people in Newtown,” LaPierre responded. “You really think that the president’s children are the same kind of target as every other child in America?” Wallace said. “That’s ridiculous and you know it, sir.” LaPierre came out swinging at other points in the interview as well, even insinuating that the White House wants background checks as a way of tracking citizens. “I think what they’ll do is they’ll turn this universal [background] check on the law-abiding into a universal registry on law-abiding people,” he said. Wallace said the White House hasn’t mentioned any universal registry. “And ObamaCare wasn’t a tax until they needed it to be a tax,” LaPierre responded, referencing the 2010 health care law and 2012 Supreme Court ruling. “I don’t think you can trust these people,” the NRA president added, apparently unmoved and not swayed by yesterday’s Obama gun photo release. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has made countless headlines for his play this NFL season, but his tattoos get plenty of “ink” as well. Remember when NFL baller Darnell Dockett got clowned on Twitter for trying to take Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend? Now he says she’s not his type! Via DailyMail : When Arizona Cardinals defensive end Darnell Dockett asked Katherine Webb out to a str!p club during her now famous appearance on ESPN, he met the wrath of her quarterback boyfriend. And Dockett will no doubt enrage Webb’s beau, Alabama player A.J. McCarron, once more – after he claimed: ‘I would have got her if I really wanted her.’ Speaking on a Phoenix radio show, Dockett also said 23-year-old Webb, who is the reigning Miss Alabama, is not his type, joking that he liked girls ‘with a couple stab wounds [or] bullet holes’. I’m not into the thinner girls and the modeling thing like that. I like hood chicks. I like girls with a couple stab wounds, bullet holes, been knocked up a few times… I like girls who you know have bad credit when they’re 21.’ He added that the Twitter messages were just a joke. ‘I was just laughing at people responding because people were really thinking that I was gonna put my number on Twitter,’ he said. ‘Anybody that knows Darnell Dockett – the real me, not just the football player – anyone that knows me personally knows there is never a dull moment in my life… I’m always thinking of the next trick.’ He went on: ‘She’s a very beautiful girl… I just wanted to take her out of her rich environment and bring her to get some of these garlic wings and barbecue wings and go see a few strippers and things like that so she can appreciate what she’s doing.’ Webb, who has since had jobs offers from reality television shows and Donald Trump, did not take the tweets so light-heartedly, however. ‘That is not attractive at all,’ she told Esquire. ‘It’s very disrespectful and A.J. did not like it at all. Manti Te’o finally appeared on camera today, for the first time since his girlfriend hoax went public, making one thing VERY clear to Katie Couric: He is not gay. Manti Te’o Interview: I’m Not Gay! Asked by the host about his sexuality – because some have speculated this might explain why Te’o would invent a woman named Lennay Kekua – Te’o was explicit in his response to the question of whether or not he’s a homosexual: “No. Far from it. FAR FROM IT.” Watch this offended response above and then scroll down for more interview highlights… Te’o showed Couric the Tweet sent by Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, which took responsibility for the scam and read: “I completely accept the consequences to the pain I’ve caused and it’s important that you know the entire truth before anyone else.” Te’o on the admission by Tuiasosopo that HE was on every phone call: “It didn’t sound like a man… if he somehow made that voice, that’s an incredible talent.” Manti released voicemails left for him by “Lennay.” Why didn’t Te’o report Kekua’s phone call on December 6 immediately, after learning something here was very much amiss? “I was scared and I didn’t know what to do.” What does he think of his NFL draft status? “That I don’t know… Whatever happens happens… I hope and pray that good happens.” So, what do you think? Manti Te’o has spoken to a reporter for the first time in days and gone on the record: He played no role in Lennay Kekua and duping the public into believing he had a girlfriend who died of cancer. “I wasn’t faking it. I wasn’t part of this,” Te’o told ESPN’s Jeremy Schaap last night in a two-and-a-half hour, off-camera interview. The Notre Dame linebacker and NFL prospect even said he didn’t know for total certainty that Kekua was a fabrication until Wednesday night when Ronaiah Tuiasosopo called him and admitted to the hoax. “Two guys and a girl are responsible for the whole thing,” Te’o said. “According to Ronaiah, Ronaiah’s one.” Among other topics covered in the interview: Te’o admitted to lying to his father about having met Kekua; he never actually did. Yes, he did Skype with Kekua, but described the individual on the other end as being in a “black box,” unseen. Numerous personal meetings were set up and then canceled by Kekua. Te’o does take responsibility for the story spinning out of control, saying he “kind of tailored” it “to have people think that, ‘yeah, he met her before she passed away,’ so that people wouldn’t think that I was some crazy dude.” Te’o received a call from Lenny on December 6, claiming she had faked her own death to avoid drug dealers. He said he responded with anger and, yes, acknowledged her existence in a couple interviews afterward because he didn’t know “what to believe.” “All I knew for sure in my head was that she died on September 12.” Following the interview, Te’o showed Schaap Twitter direct messages from Tuiasosopo that were comprised of an apology for orchestrating the scheme.

Alicia Keys To Sing The National Anthem At The 2013 Superbowl R&B songstress Alicia Keys has been confirmed to kick off the 2013 Superbowl XLVII in New Orleans with the singing of the National Anthem. via Huffington Pos t Alicia Keys will be singing Francis Scott Key at the Super Bowl, CBS and the NFL announced Friday. The Grammy winner will belt the national anthem in New Orleans on Feb. 3, which sets the stage for a dual-divas duel: Keys at kickoff and Beyonce at halftime. It will be Keys’ third time on the Super Bowl stage, the most by any performer in the game’s history. In 2005, she sang America the Beautiful with 150 students from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind and returned three years later to perform as part of the pregame show. This year’s Super Bowl chanteuses will swap places this Monday at the inauguration: Beyonce is slated to belt The Star-Spangled Banner at the swearing-in ceremony, and Keys will perform at the Commander-in-Chief’s Ball alongside Jennifer Hudson.
