Pamela Taylor , the West Virginia official who called First Lady  Michelle Obama “an ape in heels” was sentenced to prison after defrauding the government of 18,000 in FEMA disaster benefits following June 2016 floods that claimed lives and delivered significant property damage. Taylor was sentenced to 10 months in prison and ordered to pay a $10,000 fine, according to  WSAZ .  She will be confined to her home for two months following her release. Email Submit Earlier this year, Taylor was facing a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison for her actions but she pled guilty in order to receive a lesser sentence. She admitted in February of taking in $18,000 in flood relief benefits by falsely registering for FEMA benefits after the June 2016 floods that killed more than 20 West Virginians and caused more than $100 million worth of damage. Taylor lied and said that her primary residence had been damaged in the flood and that she was forced to rent a place to stay. “There’s no such thing as a little bit of FEMA fraud. Taylor’s fraudulent scheme took FEMA dollars away from those who needed it the most,” U.S. Attorney Mike Stuart said in a statement, referring to the Federal Emergency Management Agency. More than two years ago, Taylor came into public view when she resigned from her county government development job for calling Mrs. Obama “an ape in heels” on Facebook . She was suspended for her comments, then fired and secretly rehired and then fired for good . “It will be so refreshing to have a classy, beautiful, dignified First Lady back in the White House. I’m tired of seeing a Ape in heels,” Taylor wrote in November 2016. In her plea agreement, Taylor also agreed to pay restitution of over $18,000. Flaw Enforcement: 96% Of People Arrested In Shreveport, Louisiana For “Sagging Pants Law” Are Black Men Since 2007

Some people truly abhor seeing men walk around a$$ed out with their pants sagging below their waist, but this is f***ing ridiculous. According to Shreveport Times , ever since ordinance 50-167 was passed into law in 2007, a law prohibiting sagging pants in public, there have been 726 arrests made. Of those 726, 699 of them are Black men in comparison to the 12 white men arrested. That’s right, 12. Additionally, 13 Black women were arrested for this crime in comparison to 1 white woman. This means that 98% of the people placed into the criminal justice system behind this law are Black, 96% are Black men. Tuesday, City Councilwoman LeVette Fuller proposed to abolish the law prohibiting the public wearing of pants below the waist, exposing the skin or undergarments. At least three national news outlets reported on the proposal in connection with the death of Anthony Childs that occurred during an officer-involved shooting. For those unaware, Anthony Childs was shot at eight times by a cop, SPD Officer Traveion Brooks, three of those shots hit him. A reported self-inflicted shot to the chest ultimately killed Childs. The officer was trying to stop Childs because his pants were sagging. This law is racist as HELL.

She is the mother of his 10-year-old daughter Emani Asghedom, and she’s currently fighting with the rapper’s sister, Samantha, for custody of the child. Emani has been living with Samantha, and according to TMZ , during a recent court appearance, Tanisha broke down in tears because she claimed she hadn’t seen her daughter in months. Nipsey’s family is reportedly trying to organize visitation for mother and daughter. She also wanted to thank people for their support, saying, “Thank you, I’m going to stay strong. He was 16 years of my life. They filmed an entire commercial documenting these behaviors and simply asked men to do better  because these types of attitudes and behaviors have been harmful to not only women but other men. And while a lesser company might have stepped away from making sociopolitical messages in their advertising, in order to protect their profits, they actually doubled down.
