Literally. According to PageSix , Colin is taking meetings with publishers to shop a deal for his new book. Details about the book are being kept close to the vest, but we can imagine that Colin isn’t going to hold back about everything from his reaction to being white-balled from the NFL to the idea he has about helping the community and everything in between. What do you think Colin should title his book?
Source: Thaddaeus McAdams / Getty Via | HotNewHipHop It looks like 2 Chainz is readying a new album for us again. 2 Chainz is arguably one of the hardest working rappers in the game. Regardless of the time of day or year, the ATL veteran appears to be always working on his craft & recording new music for the fans. Hell, just a couple months ago we found out that he had 10 songs with Drake just sitting in the vault, and also has an upcoming collab with Eminem on the way as well. In addition to that, 2 Chainz also released a highly successful, Gold-selling album (which will soon be platinum) in June called Pretty Girls Like Trap Music , which featured guest appearances from Drake , Travis Scott, Gucci Mane , Nicki Minaj & more, but it appears that’s not all Tity Boi is treating fans to this year. It turns out the ATL rapper is getting ready to release another album soon. Finish this story [ here ]

According to Deadline , the 32-year old multi-talented writer, producer, and actress is developing a new drama for the premium cable network that will be centered around a black family dealing with life in Los Angeles in the ’90s. Bridging the later Reagan Era and early Clinton years, the show will focus on the marriage of Sheryl and Jackson, with the former an envelope bounds-pushing real estate agent and the latter a conflicted LAPD anti-gang task force recruit. The show doesn’t have a name yet or it’s unknown at this time, but we do know that Issa will be executive producing the untitled series, along with The Turner House author Angela Flournoy. They say opposites attract, but the men who are drawn to Jenelle Evans all seem to share the Teen Mom 2 star's taste for explosive drama and intense conflict. Case in point: According to The Ashley's Reality Roundup, filming for the Teen Mom 2 Season 8A reunion special was shut down over the weekend following a “major altercation” between Jenelle's most recent baby daddies, David Eason and Nathan Griffith. Here's a complete recap of what happened when Kaiser and Ensley's respective fathers finally squared off: 1. A Promising Start Nathan was all smiles as he arrived in Los Angeles with his girlfriend, Ashley Lanhardt, and mother, Doris Griffith. As fans of the show know, Doris has become something of a major player in the TM2 universe in recent weeks. 2. Jenelle & David: Disgruntled Employees Of course, the stage was set for conflict before anyone arrived on set. Not only is Jenelle currently involved in custody battles with both Nathan and her mother, Barbara Evans, she’s also fed up with MTV that she recently threatened to quit TM2. 3. The Night Before The trouble started the night before everyone showed up on set at a party hosted by MTV. (Given how many TM cast members have struggled with addiction and mental illness over the years, you’d think these events would be dry affairs, but Sprite doesn’t fuel ratings-magnet drama.) 4. David Eason: Enemy of Balloons Witnesses say David got intoxicated to the point that he was caught off by the party’s bartender. He responded like any sane man would–by pulling a knife and using it to slash a bunch of balloons. 5. It Only Got Worse From There… Fortunately, no one was hurt during Eason’s violent tantrum. But Dangerous Dave was just getting warmed up… 6. It All Began With Babs Barbara Evans was the first to film a segment with the show’s resident charlatan, Dr. Drew. Not surprisingly, she didn’t have glowing things to say about Jenelle and David. View Slideshow
Getty Images $417 Million Award Thrown Out In Baby Powder Case A judge on Friday tossed out a $417 million jury award to a woman who claimed she developed ovarian cancer by using Johnson & Johnson talc-based baby powder for feminine hygiene. Eva Echeverria alleged Johnson & Johnson failed to adequately warn consumers about talcum powder’s potential cancer risks–she used the company’s baby powder on a daily basis beginning in the 1950s until 2016 and was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2007, according to court papers. Echeverria developed ovarian cancer as a “proximate result of the unreasonably dangerous and defective nature of talcum powder,” she said in her lawsuit. Though she before was decided a winner in the case and was to be awarded $417 Million, but now Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Maren Nelson granted Johnson & Johnson’s request for a new trial. The company sayid there were errors and jury misconduct in the previous trial that ended with the award two months ago. Nelson also ruled that there wasn’t convincing evidence that Johnson & Johnson acted with malice and the award for damages was excessive. The decision will be appealed even though Echeverria has passed away, said her attorney, Mark Robinson Jr. Her attorney contended that documents showed that Johnson & Johnson knew about the risks of talc and ovarian cancer for three decades. “Ovarian cancer is a devastating disease — but it is not caused by the cosmetic-grade talc we have used in Johnson’s Baby Powder for decades. The science is clear and we will continue to defend the safety of Johnson’s Baby Powder as we prepare for additional trials in the U.S.,” a spokeswoman for Johnson & Johnson Carol Goodrich said in a statement. Similar allegations have led to hundreds of lawsuits against the New Jersey-based company. Jury awards against the company so far have totaled hundreds of millions of dollars. Another similar case on Tuesday resulted in a Missouri court throwing out a $72 million award to the family of an Alabama woman who has died, ruling that the state wasn’t the proper jurisdiction for such a case. The court cited a U.S. Supreme Court ruling in June that placed limits on where injury lawsuits could be filed, saying state courts cannot hear claims against companies not based in the state where alleged injuries occurred.

Justine Skye kicked off the NBA season in Brooklyn by kicking up dust with her rendition of the National Anthem, taking a knee to make sure the message of equal rights for African Americans doesn’t get silenced. Got a bit shaky at the end.. was pretty uneasy about singing the anthem and probably won’t ever be invited to sing it again but I had to take a knee for the opening game in my city and let my voice be heard. We will not be silenced ✊ #blacklivesmatter Getty/Instagram
Patrick Demarchelier Nicki MInaj Covers T Magazine’s “The Greats” Issue While Cardi B has pretty much eclipsed every artist on the charts, both male and female, Nicki Minaj remains a central figure in pop culture — at least as far as The New York Times’ T Magazine is concerned. After all Nicki did land one of the seven covers designated for their “The Greats’” issue. While much of the article retreads familiar territory to any seasoned fan (her background as a waitress, her quirky character voices, her status as a fashionista, etc… ) but the good news is that Nicki is talking new music and a new attitude in the article revealing what this next project will sound like: “sonically, I know what the album’s about to sound like. I know what this album is gonna mean to my fans. This album is everything in my life coming full circle and me being truly, genuinely happy. It feels almost like a celebration. The last album, ‘The Pink Print,’ was almost like my diary, closing the chapter on certain things and not knowing if I was happy or sad about beginning new chapters. I was really writing about feeling unsure. Now, I can tell you guys what happened for the last two years of my life. I know who I am. I am getting Nicki Minaj figured out with this album and I’m loving her.” Nicki avoids taking shots at the competition for the story, but she does quite a bit of name dropping that we foresee plenty of folks reading into. Take for example, her checklist on what makes a great rapper: “Do you sound intelligent? Does your flow switch up? Are you in command of the beat? I listen for things like that.” Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Foxy Brown — “Those are the three I keep in my head when I’m writing because they’ve influenced me so much,” she says. “I feel like I’m a part of all of them.” She tells me that around two years ago, Kanye West said to her, “ ‘Every girl I hear rap, I can hear Nicki in her rap.’ I didn’t ask him who, but that was such a great compliment. Because sometimes you think you’re the only one that can hear those types of things.” Do you agree with Kanye’s assessement? And do you think that Nas and Lil Kim should feel some type of way about not being named as influences? Hit the flip for more
