Kendall Jenner Debuts Super-Short Haircut, Becomes Kris Jenner Doppelganger

Kendall Jenner has been in the news quite a bit in recent months, but not for reasons that have anything to do with her modeling career. First, there was the uproar over Kendall’s ridiculous Pepsi commercial that attempted to use racial unrest and the historic Black Lives Matter movement as gimmicks to sell carbonated sugar water. Shortly thereafter, Kendall’s relationship with Blake Griffin (and the attendant rumor that she’s been banned from the Staples Center) made tabloid headlines. And then there was the epic social media roasting that ensued after Kendall was named “Fashion Icon of the Decade” as part of some New York Fashion Week publicity stunt. Needless to say, it’s been a rough year for the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan with a real job. (We’re sure there are many who would argue that modeling doesn’t really qualify as a real job, but it certainly comes closer than reality TV star or “social media influencer.”) Kendall has endured a string of PR nightmares that would leave many celebs plummeting toward the D-list. Usually, Kenny would turn to her mom to get her out of a tight spot like this, but now that she’s grown and rocking Fashion Week on her own, it looks like she’s decided to take the reins of her career by literally becoming Kris Jenner. Okay, she didn’t literally become Kris, but Kendall’s looking a lot like the world’s most famous momager, thanks to the dramatically shorter pixie cut she’s rocking these days. Kendall debuted her new look on the NYFW runway last night, where she presumably stopped strutting long enough to accept her Most Important Person in the History of Ever Award. She posted the above pic on Instagram as a means of sharing the moment with us plebes who weren’t able to attend the Tom Ford show. Because this is 2017, the internet has much to say about KJ’s new ‘do. Remarkably, the response has been overwhelmingly positive. We say that’s remarkable not because it’s an unattractive look, but because Twitter has reveled in dogpiling Kendall lately. But the knives have apparently been put away for this one. Naturally, many are reading way too much into the look, speculating that it may mark the beginning of a new era for Kendall. We don’t know about all that. We think she just looked in the mirror, asked herself what Kris Jenner would do, grabbed the scissors and started chopping. Then she called 75 publicists because that’s Kris’ answer to everything. Ha! Omarosa Being Pushed Out Of White House Inner Circle For ‘Triggering’ Trump

Read the original post:

Source: DOMINICK REUTER / Getty After all that shucking and jiving for Trump ,  it looks like   Omarosa  Manigault  is slowly losing her influence over the President. A new report says that  #45’s chief of staff   John Kelly is trying to push her out of the White House inner circle because he’s tired of her creating drama . According to the Daily Beast ,  Kelly has taken steps to prevent the  communications director for the Office of Public Liaison and other senior staffers  from getting unvetted news articles on the president’s desk. Apparently sending the President news and facts riles him up and has him spending the whole day “fuming about it.” Sources told the publication that Omarosa was the  main person who would slip into the Oval Office or email Trump to distract him with negative news coverage or Right Wing conspiracy theory stories. For example, earlier this summer Omarosa was one of the people who would bring President Trump stories about MSNBC hosts, and former Trump pals,   Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinsk i   “slagging him, and his administration.” Soon after, the president tweeted that  Brzezinski “was bleeding badly from a face-lift.” Kelly is not here for another incident like that . “When Gen. Kelly is talking about clamping down on access to the Oval, she’s patient zero,” a source close to the Trump administration told the Daily Beast. A source also told the publication that Kelly “is not thrilled by any means by [Manigault]. He is, however, thrilled that he has been able to stop staffers including Omarosa from bolting into the Oval Office and triggering the president with White House [palace] intrigue stories.” Another White House insider says that  Omarosa is not “happy” with her loss of influence over the president. “She’s not happy about it. She has a bond that goes back years with [Trump] and resents being cut off like everyone has.” Girl bye—literally . How Trump Is Hindering The 2020 Census & Why It Matters

Continue reading here:

T he Trump administration and GOP lawmakers are clearly making efforts to undermine the accuracy of the upcoming 2020 decennial census, says Robert Shapiro , writing for The Brookings Institutions . Shapiro, a senior policy fellow at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, warns that the bureau’s census count “matters more than you think.” He should know. Shapiro supervised the Census Bureau in the leadup to the 2000 count. The U.S. Constitution requires a population count every 10 years. According to the bureau’s website , the federal government has conducted a decennial census in years ending in “0” since 1790. The 2020 Census could be wildly inaccurate—and it matters more than you think, writes @robshapiro https://t.co/Mru5q2qMO2 pic.twitter.com/KtgFhyMOIQ — Brookings (@BrookingsInst) September 1, 2017 Shapiro pointed out that the count determines the allocation of the House of Representatives’ 435 seats, as well as state and local legislatures in many jurisdictions. Having an accurate census also determines how the federal government distributes funding to state and local governments for a range of public services, including education, various state health care programs (including Medicaid), and housing—to name just a few. At the same time, state and local lawmakers also depend on the bureau’s data for their programs and effectiveness assessments of those programs. “Without an accurate census, many states and cities will be denied the full funding they deserve and need, and the federal government will have to fly blind for a decade across a range of important areas,” Shapiro stated. The increasing prospect of a bungled 2020 Census is really concerning, and not just to data nerds like me. https://t.co/GdImShZsLD — Nathaniel Rakich (@baseballot) September 1, 2017 These data are also used outside government. Shapiro underscored that companies, from retailers to real estate developers and banks, use the demographic information for planning and investment, as well as to locate customers. At this point in the 10-year cycle, Congress should begin seriously funding the bureau’s work. Shapiro said it’s expensive to count the nation’s more than 300 million residents accurately. That requires not just technology purchases but also includes many other needs, such as leasing local offices and training workers. The Economist reported that legislation is pending in Congress that would appropriate just $1.5 billion for 2018–about $300 million short of the bureau’s needs. It’s in such peril that the Government Accountability Office added the 2020 census to its high-risk projects, the magazine noted. In 2014, the Republican-led Congress disregarded the Obama administration’s budget requests and declared that the 2020 census “ should cost no more than the 2010 count without adjusting for inflation, or some $12.5 billion,” Shapiro wrote. The bureau has had to cut corners, by taking steps such as ending a planned Spanish-language test census and terminating tests of outreach strategies aimed at encouraging marginalized communities to fill out census forms. Since coming into office, President Trump  has taken steps to hinder the bureau’s work. Shapiro said the Trump administration cut his predecessor’s 2017 budget request for the Census Bureau by 10 percent, where Trump proposes to keep it for 2018. Shapiro also pointed to a leaked early draft of an executive order circulating in the administration that would direct the bureau to inquire about citizenship status. The unprecedented directive, he said, is unlawful. Former census directors  Vincent Barabba and  Kenneth Prewitt urged Trump “to act quickly” in a Washington Post opinion piece. They highlight that the administration has not identified a replacement for the former bureau director, John Thompson , who stepped down in June in apparent frustration with politicians making his job difficult. “The immediate task is to nominate someone who can provide stability through the final years of the decade, explain the importance of the agency’s mission compellingly, address Congress’s fiscal concerns and be ready for full immersion in the important tasks at hand,” they wrote. What’s equally critical, Barabba and Prewitt noted, is to increase funding for 2018 and “ramping up further in 2019.” SOURCE:   Brookings Institution , The Economist , Washington Post SEE ALSO: Whites No Longer Majority By 2050, New Census Data Predicts Civil Rights Coalition Tells Census Bureau To Stop Displacing Minority Prisoners [ione_media_gallery src=”https://newsone.com” id=”3358541″ overlay=”true”]

Audrey Roloff: Is She in Labor? When is She Due?

Little People, Big World stars Jeremy and Audrey Roloff are so close to becoming parents …but it looks like they’re still waiting. For now. Audrey, 26, and Jeremy, 27, are expecting their baby girl any day now and have been getting all the essential things in place beforehand. This week, Audrey made “padcicles” for post-labor. Jeremy got the baby monitors up and running. Their new home and nursery are set up. All that’s left to do now is wait … and not for much longer. Jeremy and Audrey went radio silent on social media in the second half of this week, leading many fans to believe Audrey might be in labor. Jeremy’s mom, Amy, hasn’t been on social media either, and Audrey’s due date is August 31 – today. So is #BabyRoloff on her way? Honestly, we’re not sure. It’s pretty safe bet that she’ll arrive within the next few days, but there’s no immediate sign that labor has begun. As for the little one’s name, Aubrey and Jeremy haven’t revealed the name they have chosen, nor have they even offered many hints. She’s kept fans abreast of her pregnancy pretty much every step of the way, even when it meant receiving criticism from her followers. Audrey has openly mused about the challenge of  having a baby with running a business , wondering how other moms achieve a balance. She’s posted numerous updates on getting her home ready and packing her bag for the hospital as the due date drew closer and closer. Still, the beloved reality star has rubbed some fans the wrong way with a number of pictures she posted over the past several weeks. How so? First, some accused her of stealing the spotlight from Molly Roloff with all of her updates from her sister-in-law’s wedding to Joel Silvius. Then there’s the matter of her baby bump shots. As her belly grows, Audrey’s love for showcasing it on Instagram has blossomed as well. Some fans aren’t pleased at all, slamming what they see as “disgraceful” Audrey Roloff photos , though we think that’s a huge stretch. Part of the criticism stems from the fact that Roloff’s  emphasis on religion and how such revealing images may conflict with her values. All nonsense. View Slideshow: Audrey Roloff Baby Bump Pics: Look at It Grow! People look too hard for things to hate, and just because she’s a public figure, feel they can unload on her in remarkably critical terms. It certainly hasn’t slowed her down or led her to censor herself up to this point, and we don’t expect her to change after the baby is born. She’s outspoken. Deal with it. No one’s forcing you to follow her online or gaze upon her (beautiful) baby bump. So let’s all just live, let live and wish Audrey the best! There’s a baby on the way!
