As we previously reported … ‘Idol’ is extremely interested in bringing back Jennifer Lopez to judge next season — and keeping Mariah and J.Lo would clearly be a bad fit … and a pricey one at that. Somebody’s getting fired… The American Idol season finale pulled in a pitful 13.61 million viewers last week. In comparison Last years finale pulled in 21.49 million. Nicki Minaj is not long for American Idol. In the least surprising news of the day, an insider tells Us Weekly that the singer will depart this Fox competition immediately following this week’s finale. “It’s safe to say she isn’t coming back to Idol ,” the source says, adding that Nicki will start focusing on her next album, touring, and endorsements. “She’s okay with it. She had a great time but was only going to do one season anyway.” Randy Jackson has already resigned from Idol and producers are expected to replace the entire panel some time this summer.
