The Real Housewives of New Jersey: Reunion Part Three

On The Real Housewives of New Jersey “Reunion Part 3” we finally learn who really worked as a stripper in college.  We recap all of the screeching accusations and surprising revelations in our THG +/- review. The Real Housewives husbands arrive and it isn’t long before they are all yelling at one another to “shut the f**k up!”  Minus 12 . If only any of them would listen. the We continue to rehash the season as we see Kathy explain that in Jersey it’s proper to say someone in the family is “going away” instead of “going to jail.”  Minus 11 . How many members of your family have to frequent a jail cell for you to come up with a separate term for it? Teresa swears she doesn’t go to the press with her personal life…they come to her. Duh. That doesn’t mean you have to answer them. But wait, I suppose if you want to cash their checks then answers are required. It’s both sad and funny that Teresa insists she’s asked her family not to talk about her family’s legal problems in the press but she talks about it in magazine and on TV.  Minus 10. It’s almost as funny as Teresa insisting she’s never called Melissa a stripper. Why isn’t Bravo playing a montage of clips where Teresa has said exactly that? Minus 8. Joe Guicide is as eloquent as ever. When Andy asks him how he feels about possibly facing 10 years in prison, Joe responds with, “Yeah, whatever.”  He also says the prosecutor can stick his plea deal.  Time will tell if that’s a foolish answer. Teresa says they haven’t told their girls anything about this.  Minus 15 .  I hope she’s lying about that because you know the kids are hearing about it at school.  It would be cruel for their parents not to prepare them for that. The feud between the Laurita’s and Guidice’s heats up as Joe says that Chris met Jacqueline in Vegas when she was working as a stripper.  Jacqueline swears it’s a lie and shoots back with, “You piece of low life sh*t. And I hope you go to jail.”   Plus 10 for clarity because the battle lines don’t get drawn much clearer than that.  All of the stripper accusations prompt Joe Gorga to ask what’s the big problem with being a stripper? Chris Laurita one ups him with the best line of the night when he says, “We’re talking about strippers like we’re talking about serial killers.”  Plus 20 . Very funny. But someone on that stage was a stripper.  Can we get a drum roll for the big reveal? The Real Housewives stripper is…Joe Gorga.  Plus 22 .  Can’t you just picture exhibitionist Joe as a Chippendale dancer.  He did it in college and has no problem admitting it.  He made good money and had a lot of fun.  I can’t stop laughing just thinking about it.  It wasn’t Teresa’s sister-in-law who was the stripper. It was her brother. Things almost get boring as the men call one another bums and debate who grabbed whose crotch first in their drunken brawls.  Minus 9.   Does anyone really care? Finally Kim D takes the stage and minus 13 for giving this women the 15 minutes of fame she’s so desperately searching for.  She doesn’t deserve it. Kim does admit she’s holding a grudge against Melissa for endorsing her competitor.  Wow!  Talk about being a vengeful b*tch.  Then she claims that Angelo’s visit wasn’t a set up. It was just very convenient.  Minus 12.   Is anyone buying that? Caroline admits that after the fashion show incident, Kim D told her Teresa knew something was going down concerning Melissa. Then the screeching starts again and poor Andy must be deaf in one ear. Melissa says she’ll never even look at Teresa again.  Teresa wants her to promise. Andy says this is a show about family.  Minus 10.   Yeah, the most dysfunctional family in history. Even as this ridiculous season comes to a close, Caroline insists that, “When there’s love there’s hope.” No offense, Caroline but I don’t think I’m going to hold my breath.  We’ll have to wait and see who returns for season five.  Bye bye to Jersey for now. Episode total = -48!                    Season total = -530!

October 10th 2012 has most definitely been the best day of my…

October 10 th  2012 has most definitely been the best day of my life. I went early and made friends with a ton of cool people. After a while of waiting by the tour buses, Kenny and Fredo came out smiling and waving, but went into the venue before anybody could talk to them. But luckily, Kenny came back. I somehow managed to get Kenny’s attention by calling out, “Hey Kenny” and he was like “Huh” and I’m like we have matching tattoos (we both have treble clef tattoos). He looked up and I showed him my wrist and he nodded in approval and said “nice” or “cool” or something along those lines. I also complimented his slippers haha. After some more talking he left to go take a shower, and at that point Scrappy and Allison came out and talked for a little. Once they were gone, my friends and I moved from the buses, to the loading area and saw Moshe. But then Tay came over on a Segway and distracted us all, he’s super nice! Then Dan came out! He was beyond sweet. I had talked to him on the phone while they were touring in Japan during the “My World hotline” and he remembered me as the “Vancouver girl.” We talked about Carly, and Vancouver and a few other things and he’s such a genuinely nice person I couldn’t believe he was standing in front of me having a REAL conversation with me. At this point, the friend who I was going to the concert with arrived and we went to get our wristbands…to meet Justin! Oh my…once I opened the curtain I was in awe. I didn’t realize he was right there so I was beyond shocked when I heard him say “Hey sweetheart! How are you” I literally blurted out “Holy shit you’re perfect” and he replied with “Thank you sweetheart come here” and so I went in for a hug and he smells amazing and he gives the best hugs. I was just holding on to him the entire time and didn’t wanna let go. It goes by so quick I couldn’t believe it was happening I just kept staring at him. The kid really likes to say “Sweetheart” though. I’m sure he said it about half a dozen times. For picture time, he had his arm around me and was actually holding on tightly and it was just the best feeling. He’s flawless. But that’s not it. As I was walking out of the Meet and Greet curtain, I saw Fredo! I said his name and pulled him out with me and hugged him and told him how much I love him and how amazing he is. I had gotten a customized hat for him and so I got to give him that. He loved it. He told me he was going to wear it on stage and that he was gonna rock it all night. Then we posed for a picture and he kept saying “one more” “one more” to my friend who was taking them. He’s honestly such an amazing guy. As I was about to leave he kissed my cheek and told me to have fun and to watch out for him. As if that wasn’t enough Fredo tweeted me saying it was nice meeting me. I freaked out cause I never gave him my Twitter. He asked my name as we were talking and I said  “Pargol” but I didn’t think he even heard or understood cause I was rambling. Then a little later he tweeted me again! This time he sent me a picture of himself posing in the hat I gave him :’) Honestly made my night. Finally it was time for the show. It was my 5 th  of 6 th  time seeing Carly so no doubt I thought she was brilliant. But then Justin, wow the choreography was amazing, the singing was amazing, the entire production was beyond words.  At one point he made eye contact with me and walked right over to me and grabbed my hand. I just about died right there. Oh and Fredo didn’t lie. He rocked my hat on stage ‘She Don’t Like The Lights.’ Overall my night was incredible. The crew is just so sweet and Justin is wow. I’m forever grateful. Up until the night before the show, I never thought anything like this was possible for me… but it happens. Never give up, and I promise you it will happen.  I’ve been waiting for my opportunity since November 1 st  2009 when he first canceled a M&G in Vancouver and tried and tried every chance I got since then and I didn’t succeed until 3 years later.  But it happened and it was worth the wait.  – @PargolHamidi Read the original: October 10th 2012 has most definitely been the best day of my…

WATCH: David Fincher’s Kickstarter Campaign For ‘The Goon’ Has A Trailer Just For You!

David Fincher  can’t help but direct. The Social Network  and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo  helmsman does what he does best and bosses around a couple of guys from Blur Studio in this Kickstarter campaign video for an animated adaptation of Eric Powell’s very cool comic-book series  The Goon .  Fincher, who’s teamed up with Powell, Goon publisher Dark Horse Entertainment  and Blur directors, Tim Miller and Jeff Fowler,  joins those last two men in the clip to attempt to raise $400,000 so that they can produce a finished first reel of the film.  And he’s not about to leave the driving to them. After Miller and Fowler begin their appeal, Fincher bigfoots the two guys and decides that a series of niche spots are the way to go. He then proceeds to sell Powell’s world of  zombies, vampires, fish-men and giant squid to Little Orphan Annie fans, liberals (“Put a caring man back in the White House”), conservatives (“Put the right man in the White House”) and arch conservatives (“Put a white man back in the White House”) as well as fans of hip hop, R-rated movies and movie trailers. Okay, so the humor is pretty lame, but the footage included in the Kickstarter clip (via FirstShowing.net )  is beautifully bad-ass and features voice work by Clancy Brown as the Goon and Paul Giamatti as Franky’s swashbuckling pupil-less friend Franky. (Now do you get the Little Orphan Annie reference? )  The airborne car scene with Franky spraying machine-gun fire from the hood of a sweet convertible muscle car is dreamy. [ FirstShowing.net ] There’s also this “proof of concept” video. Good stuff. Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Follow Movieline on Twitter.

Bond Girls: 10 Little Known Facts About 007’s Femme Fatales

Alluring. International. Deadly. The so-called Bond Girls are, let’s face it, the fetish objects the producers hope will keep us coming back to the 007 pictures . (After the watches — the sweet, sweet watches.) While the internet is loaded with glamour shots of Bond ladies from Ursula Andress to Michelle Yeoh, these women are more than mere pin-ups. Indeed, here are some oddball facts about the women in James Bond ‘s life that ought to do you well at a dinner party — provided, of course, that you don’t order red wine with fish. Ursula Andress , the ur-Bond Girl (and not just because it is a pun), became an instant screen icon when she emerged from the Caribbean in her white bikini holding… something, I dunno, I never focused on her hands. But did this Swiss ingenue show any gratitude to the official EON James Bond productions? No! Just a few years after her debut as Honey Ryder in Dr. No she turned around and appeared in a legal loophole “unofficial” James Bond production, 1967’s Casino Royale . Andress wasn’t the only one to make a mockery of her Bond Girl status. The woman who played Tatiana Romanova in From Russia With Love , Daniela Bianchi (who came from the Russian section of Italy, apparently), took part in the mockery known as OK Connery , also known as Operation Kid Brother . In it, Neil (brother of Sean) Connery plays a spy called-up as a replacement when his big brother isn’t available. The movie has never been released on DVD. Mie Hama , who played Kissy Suzuki in You Only Live Twice , is notable for what she did before being a Bond Girl. Prior to Hama, most of the women were European models or aspiring actresses who managed to marry well. Hama was a bus conductor. I’m not even 100% sure what a bus conductor is, but I can totally picture her in her native Japan being constructive and forward in modern society. And probably wearing a sharp outfit.

Clear Eyes, Full Heart, Can’t Use: Did Mitt Romney Plagiarize ‘Friday Night Lights’?

Politicians have long appropriated pop culture to lend their campaigns relevancy and catchy hooks, so it wasn’t unprecedented when Republican nominee Mitt Romney began using the popular Friday Night Lights catchphrase “Clear eyes, full heart, can’t lose” in his bid for the Presidency. That doesn’t mean filmmaker Peter Berg has to be happy about it. In an open letter to Romney, Berg — who directed 2004’s Friday Night Lights , adapted from H.G. Bissinger’s book about a small Texas town obsessed with football, and created its subsequent spin-off television series — slammed the former Governor of Massachusetts for using the now-famous FNL line. “Your politics and campaign are clearly not aligned with the themes we portrayed in our series,” wrote Berg, who described the citation as plagiarism. Via EW : Governor Romney: I created the TV show “Friday Night Lights” and came up with the phrase “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can’t Lose.” I was not thrilled when I saw that you have plagiarized this expression to support your campaign by using it on posters, your facebook page and as part of your stump speeches. Your politics and campaign are clearly not aligned with the themes we portrayed in our series. The only relevant comparison that I see between your campaign and “Friday Night Lights” is in the character of Buddy Garrity — who turned his back on American car manufacturers selling imported cars from Japan. Your use of the expression falsely and inappropriately associates “Friday Night Lights” with the Romney/Ryan campaign. Mitt, we all wish you and your family all the best. We are grateful for your support of our beloved show, but we are not in any way affiliated with you or your campaign. Please come up with your own campaign slogan. Sincerely, Peter Berg. To be fair, President Obama ‘s campaign also used the slogan, albeit less overtly and on Tumblr . I guess that was at least football-related, and therefore more closely aligned with the themes Berg & Co. portrayed in their series. [E W ] Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . The Kiddie-Lover Side-Eye: Jerry Sandusky’s Claiming He’s The Victim!! [Audio]

This guy really has some damn nerve. And on the night before he’s sentenced for the Penn State scandal, Sandusky thought it was a good idea to share his side one more time. Releasing an overly-dramatic recorded statement from his cell, Sandusky chose to go on the defense and attacked everyone, from his victims, to the media…even the university, for the reason he’s still locked-up after being “falsely accused”. According to TMZ… In his statement, the disgraced ex football coach says, “A young man who was dramatic, a veteran accuser, and always sought attention, started everything.” Sandusky goes on to say the initial accuser “was joined by a well-orchestrated effort of the media, investigators, the system, Penn State, psychologists, civil attorneys and other accusers. They won. I’ve wondered what they really won: Attention, financial gain, prestige… will all be temporary.” Sandusky also rambles about his attorneys not having enough time to prepare for the trial — in which the jury found him guilty of 45 counts of child ____ deviance — and insinuates all his accusers came forward purely for financial gain. And there’s this odd claim … on the recording, Sandusky says his wife “has been his only partner that was after marriage. Our love continues.” Sandusky is scheduled to be sentenced tomorrow morning … and faces up to 400 years in prison. Wow…homeboy’s crazy! We’ll leave the rest of the comments for you to make…SMH Images via facebook/tmz

Lindsay Lohan "Not in a Good Place," Pal Says

Lindsay Lohan has had a rough couple of months/years/decades. It’s no surprise that Claus Hjelmbak, who was present the night she alleges she was assaulted by Christian LaBella , says “she’s not in a good place.” However, “it’s not because of health issues,” he said. “She’s not in a good place, because people around her just keep throwing her under the bus.” According to Hjelmbak, LaBella, who Lohan hung out with at the W Hotel, didn’t know Hjelmbak or Lohan before that night. So how’d he get with their crew? “Lindsay is a sweet girl and is very open and nice when people come over and talk,” he explained. “In this case, she thought it was somebody her friends know.” All was well until LaBella started taking Lindsay Lohan photos on his cell phone. “She was visibly shaken already at that point. She was shocked. You are in a private space and realize someone has documented the entire night on the phone.” After that was when the alleged altercation happened. Hjelmbak said there were no drugs involved, and he was unsure if Lohan had even had “a drink or two.” LaBella was arrested for assault, but quickly released due to lack of evidence that a crime was actually committed, drawing a rebuke from Lindsay’s rep. Whatever happened that night, how will LiLo bounce back? “Look at her art,” Hjelmbak urged fans. “And stop focusing so much on her private life. That would be a big help to her getting back to a really good place.” If only she didn’t make that near-impossible.
