This past Thursday the Common Ground Foundation and Virgin Mobile hosted From the Ground Up, a benefit to help raise funds for The Night Ministry of Chicago . Held in his hometown, the day was also reason to celebrate the opening of Virgin Mobile’s first ever flagship store. The Night Ministry of Chicago works to provide housing, healthcare, and human connection to members of the community struggling with poverty or homelessness. The event included poetry, singing, and other performances with kids and young adults from The Night Ministry. Common even did a quick freestyle and gave individual critiques during his meet and greet. All ticket proceeds went to the foundation. It’s stories like this one that give us a break from shaking our heads at all the crazies out there.

On the 15th of July 2012, I was lucky to see Justin. So close I could almost touch him. It started the night before, I was reading a news article about Justin and it said that he was staying at the Olsen Hotel in Melbourne. I was screaming and was so excited that I knew I could maybe finally see him up close. But I wasn’t sure of it. I didn’t think I would see him but I knew that I wouldn’t leave the next day without seeing him. It was about 9.45am and I had just got on the train with my 2 friends to Justin’s hotel in Melbourne. We got to the hotel and we were hesitant of whether to wait at the front or back of the hotel, but we chose the back because there was camera crew, security and it was the carpark where Justin had been spotted earlier the day before. I got a little nervous and worried that he wouldn’t get out of the car or I wouldn’t see him because there were so many girls! We got there at 11am after taking trains, trams and all sorts of transport. At 12pm a black Mercedes came and parked on the side . We all started screaming and just ran straight for the car. We were all told to wait and be patient and Justin would come to greet us all. So we did. Kind of. We were still screaming when out came the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. Justin Bieber. He got out and started signing autographs, taking photos and giving hugs. Then he came over to our side. I tried to touch him but I ended up getting stuck between people. I was not even a meter away from Justin. I looked up and saw his face and I looked at him and he looked back straight at me. Then I started screaming so loud, oh my God. He mimed, “Thank you I love you” to all of us and then got in the car and left. A girl tried to open his car door and get in the car. I saw a black van drive off too and in the front was Kenny! I was right up against the glass and waved at Kenny, he smiled and waved back. Best day of my entire life, the fact Justin came out of the car and spoke to us and interacted with us was unbelievable. Thank you Justin. I love you More here: On the 15th of July 2012, I was lucky to see Justin. So close I…
On December 21 2011, I don’t even know how to put it into words, I saw Justin at Massey Hall in Toronto for his Home for the Holidays show. This is what happened: It started a week before, I woke up, got ready for school, went to have breakfast, until my friend texted me saying, “TURN ON CP24 NOW, YOU’RE GOING TO FREAK OUT!” I rushed to the TV, put CP24 and they where talking about Justin coming back home and doing a show. At this point I already spit half of my milk out of my mouth. I was so ready to do whatever it took to see him! I missed him so much! The only thing that sucked was that they couldn’t tell us where the show was being held. It was being taped for MuchMusic & CTV. I ended up waking up everyday at 5:30am to see if CP24/MuchMusic said anything about tickets being sold or where the show might be at. Nothing. I tweeted pretty much half of the Beliebers in Toronto to see if they new any info about the show. After a few days of being frustrated and stressed, I was getting ready for bed and checked Twitter. I saw CP24 tweet “Tickets for @justinbieber Home For The Holidays on sale this Sunday at 4pm” I legit booked out of my room, went to tell my parents and they told me to be ready! I was so confident on getting these tickets. I kept saying never say never, I can do this, I can do this! Finally Sunday came and I had the website open at 7am even though it didn’t come on sale until 4pm. Hours later I had 2 computers, plus my iphone. At 3:58pm it said “Buy Tickets.” My parents where doing everything they could but I couldn’t get through the site. I got a tweet to my phone saying it was sold out in less then a few minutes. I couldn’t handle it. I thanked my parents for trying but I just went into my room and cried for probably 3 hours. My parents felt really bad so I told them that there’s tickets being sold on Ebay/Kijiji, but they where so much money. I almost got a ticket but I also almost got scammed so that didn’t work out. I started entering every contest I could, but i still had no luck. My only shot left was to go to Massey Hall the day of the show for one more shot on trying to get a ticket. That Wednesday I couldn’t skip school because I had a huge project to do, but I swear I couldn’t think ALL DAY! I was shaking because this girl Stephanie that I met in the line of NML texted me that she found a ticket for $250 from a scalper. Steph and I got to Massey Hall at around 4:30pm. I waited around until the guy showed up that we were suppose to buy a ticket from. As I’m waiting in line, there was a crowd of people around. “SELENA COME HERE!!!!” Stephanie yelled. People where telling me that Justin was going to come through this door, HOLYCRAP. My heart stopped, I didn’t know what to do but cry. As I was standing there freaking out, I started to here a lot more screams. I turned around and I legit bumped into SCOOTER BRAUN! I was like, “SCOOTER, OMG OMG I LOVE YOU!!” He was like, “Thank you but I cant stay, I have to go inside.” I felt like I was dreaming. At this point it was almost 5:30pm and we where suppose to meet the guy to buy the tickets. All of sudden Scooter, Alison & Scrappy all came out , people started to scream so loud you have no idea. They must be doing something, omg wait..no way. “OMG THEY’RE HANDING OUT TICKETS!!!” All of sudden Alison came over and started to give out tickets to these girls in front of us. As soon as they got out of the way I made it up to the gate and was like, “ALISON PLEASE I DONT HAVE A TICKET!! PLEASE I HAVE BEEN TRYING EVERYTHING!” and that very moment she gave me a ticket, I got another one for Stephanie and I told her we had tickets. We both fell to the ground crying you can imagine. I ran across the street and told my mom we got tickets! She started to cry with me lol. I honestly couldn’t believe it. Also after 30 mins Justin finally arrived to Massey Hall! I saw him go inside and I told him I loved him but he couldn’t come out and sign autographs because he was caring Jazzy. It was just TOO MUCH TO HANDLE! When we got into Massey Hall, our seats where just PERFECT! I sat in my seat just staring at the stage, I started to cry, I was so blessed & grateful. When Justin hit that stage with Dan I couldn’t stop crying. He told stories, sang like an angel, he just seemed like such a down to earth person , which I knew he already was! Never give up on your dreams, because I’m telling you, I never gave up ONCE and LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! Anything is possible with some faith! Thank you Alison and Scooter for handing out tickets to all of us , you made my whole year, life, EVERYTHING! Thank you Justin for putting the biggest smile on my face. I won’t ever forget this night! God is so good! NEVER SAY NEVER! -Selena (@BiebersPackk ) See the rest here: On December 21 2011, I don’t even know how to put it…
My first and best Bieber experience was Monday, June 18th at 7:00PM at the Apollo theater. I thought I would never be able to go to a Justin Bieber concert, but when I heard about this one at the Apollo, I was more sad than excited. I told my mom, just because I felt like complaining and she said, “Do you want to go?” Of course I did , but I was concerned about the money I had to spend in order to get a ticket. She told me that she knows how much I like Justin and besides, it’s much less expensive than a ticket for MSG, so I can go. I couldn’t contain my excitement. The next day, my father and I left to go wait outside of the Herald’s Square Macy’s. There was only about 20 people in line when we got there and it was even better. The second the man inside handed me my tickets I was shaking violently. I couldn’t believe I was actually going to see Justin Bieber. When he started, I couldn’t help but cry. The moment I was waiting for since 2009 was actually here. The theater was so small and even if you were in the back (like I was) you were still close enough to get a good look at him. He opened up with “Baby” and then went on to do “All Around the World” with special guest Ludacris. After performing, he asked what song he should do next. He said “Be Alright” but I screamed “One Time” at the top of my lungs. He had to hear me because after “Be Alright” he played “One Time.” I was so excited, I felt like it was just for me, he even pointed at my dad hen he asked how the parents were doing. Anyway, when it came time to do OLLG everyone was screaming and volunteering until he said his ‘wife’ was going to be the OLLG, at that moment, I just knew it was going to be Avallana. He brought her on stage for OLLG! Everyone aww’d when she came out. When Justin asked her how she felt she said that she needed ear plugs because we were too loud, which resulted in even more aww-ing. After OLLG he sang “Pray” and dedicated it to Avallana. He then left the stage for what was about 10 minutes. Scooter came out and said that the left side of the building was totally blown out and the screen couldn’t be powered because it was too hot. We all just blamed it on Justin *wink* We ignored the warnings and went on with the show. After Justin sang “Never Say Never”, he left again and came out with Scooter where we all sang Happy Birthday to him, and yes, Scooter got a cake to the face and Ry Good threw candy into the audience. It turns out that the entire system blew out, even the power generators they used as back up. For the finale, Justin came out and explained the situation to us and told us we had to sing “Boyfriend” ourselves. I don’t care what anyone else says, that was the highlight of my night. It just made me feel so connected to him as not only a singer but a person. That is the real way to end a show, WITH the fans. Thank You Justin for everything. You made it a night to remember. – @le-awesomeblog See the original post here: My first and best Bieber experience was Monday, June 18th at…
Scott Disick Spied Hitting On Christina Milian Behind Kourtney Kardashian’s Back Bad news for the folks hoping that Scott Disick was going to get his act together and do right by Kourtney Kardashian and their family. Just weeks after the birth of their daughter, Scott has been caught trying to get his creep on already! Our BOSSIP sources can exclusively confirm we’ve seen the man on very very bad behavior. Here’s the details: A source for BOSSIP.com confirms exclusively that Scott Disick was spotted partying at LIV in Miami this Sunday July 22. Christina Milian was at the party and our source says Disick was on the hunt all night long. “Scott was hitting on Christina all night,” the source tells BOSSIP exclusively. “She kept ignoring him but he was acting like he just didn’t get it. He just kept following her and pretty much begging her to party with him.” The source says that Christina even tried getting up and walking away but it didn’t work. “Lil Wayne was also at the party and the promoter asked Christina to come take a group photo,” the source tells BOSSIP exclusively. “As soon as she moved, Scott was right behind her following her.” Another troublesome sign from the night? Scott was hitting the bottle hard. “Not only was Scott being really thirsty toward Christina — he was clearly drunk,” the source confirmed to BOSSIP. “Completely wasted.” Wow! So what does this mean for Scott and Kourtney? She’s already been talking about moving on without him . Could this be the final straw??? Shots from the party on the flip…

Heading into an extended break for the Summer Olympics, America’s Got Talent advanced four acts to the next round last night. Did you agree with the selections? Eliminations Part One – Ulysses, David “The Bullet” Smith, Olate Dogs Ulysses is a nice person but he was clearly out of his league. If he was up against weird instrument player Michael Nejad and sleep-inducing Nikki Jensen back in week one, he wouldn’t have been the bottom of the barrel. David “The bullet” Smith is exactly like Professor Splash last year: all he can do is go farther. I understand that lots of people die trying to blast themselves out of cannons, but that doesn’t make successful human cannonballs automatic Vegas acts. Olate Dogs was the clear frontrunner of the night, especially the “we can do better than Britain” comment that Sharon provided. Funny that Sharon is an American citizen. Eliminated: Ulysses, David “The Bullet” Smith Advanced: Olate Dogs Eliminations Two – William Close, Unity in Motion, Sebastien “El Charro de Oro” William Close was a great act, but his performances are a bit PBS for NBC if that makes sense. There’s a degree of maturity or sophistication that I worry NBC-loving America doesn’t have. Unity in Motion was clean and precise but they are also trained as hard as the dogs in the Olate act. Sebastien “El Charro De Oro” had a simplistic arrangement of his band and video behind him, but he didn’t need explosives or seizure inducing videos. I find it odd how Sebastien gets to stand with his band, but William Close is alone the whole time. Eliminated: Unity in Motion, Sebastien “El Charro de Oro” Advanced: William Close Eliminations Three – Joe Castillo, Horse, Eric & Olivia After seeing Light Wire Theater make it through, I parallel Joe Castillo’s act to the Silhouettes and Light Wire is Team iLuminate. I hope both current acts don’t suffer the same fate and lose to Tim Hockenberry. Howard hit Horse’s demographic on the head (or in the balls): Jackass viewers, Tosh.0 fans, or even G4 people. Most of those people are probably watching Wipeout or American Ninja Warrior and not this show. Eric & Olivia need to secure a gig at a fancy coffee shop and work their way up. The exposure will help them greatly, but they need time. Eliminated: Horse, Eric & Olivia Advanced: Joe Castillo Eliminations Four – Lindsay Norton, All That!, Eric Diddleman This was one of the few times where Nick actually announced some percentage numbers. That’s the one thing that’s amazing about Britain’s Got Talent: they reveal all the voting percentages after the season ends. According to Nick, there was a less than one percent difference between all three acts. Lindsey Norton was just as good as Unity in Motion and with them already eliminated, it made me wonder if the two negated their votes. Interesting that America favored the solo dancer over the group though. Eric Diddleman is in a category of his own and after Spencer Horseman scraped his elbow and Hawley Magic couldn’t leave the 80s, Diddleman is the only hope for a “magic” act. I wouldn’t mind seeing All That! if they took notes from Thunder From Down Under. They need to be sexier and the group claims to be happy with “all” their fans. Why not pander to the women and gay male vote? Eliminated (in Sixth): Lindsay Norton All That!’s Votes: Sharon Eric Diddleman’s Votes: Howie, Howard Immediately after elimination, Sharon announced that All That! would be one of her picks for the Wild Card round. The YouTube acts will be up after the Olympics so we’ll basically be on a month break and All That! could work on getting six-pack abs.
Rapper Nelly Visits Late Night With Jimmy Fallon Rapper Nelly stepped on the scene to sit down with late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and let us know what in the world he’s been up to lately …..like watching Bridezillas. Nelly has been keeping a low profile lately, but he returned to the spotlight on Tuesday night. The St. Louis rapper paid a visit to “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” to promote his role as a mentor on The CW’s music competition series “The Next: Fame Is at Your Doorstep.” He reminisced on his job as a UPS worker and admitted to watching reality shows including “Bridezillas” and “Duck Dynasty.” Earlier this month, Nelly released his Chris Brown-assisted single “Marry Go Round” and has been in the studio finishing his new album M.O., due later this year. “I represent my family, my city, myself at all times, so M.O. explains it all,” he said of the title. To cap things off, he hit the stage for an impromptu performance of “Hot in Herre,” with some help from The Roots and Jimmy Fallon. Hmmm… watching Bridezillas and wedding talk, huh? Could Nelly’s long time Glen Cove cutie Ashanti be headed for some ring finger bling sooner than later? Source
I really doesn’t take much to please me, a couple of gin and tonics and some pictures of a really hot chick in her underwear and I’m good for the night. Here’s supermodel super hottie Candice Swanepoel getting topless and showing off her sweet tanned body as she models a new line of lingerie. That or she’s just lounging around the house in some Twitter pictures, I can’t really tell, she’s so damn hot I wouldn’t be surprised if all her pictures look this good. Supermodels hang out in their lingerie when they’re not working right? I knew it.
