Floyd Mayweather Responds To Ronda Rousey’s ESPYs Diss Via HuffingtonPost Once again dodging his lengthy record of domestic abuse, Floyd Mayweather responded to Ronda Rousey’s recent diss of the boxer by simply bypassing it altogether. At last month’s ESPY Awards, Rousey earned the Best Fighter award, however, she truly won the night for calling out Mayweather on his charges of abuse, something on which many others in the sports world have turned a blind eye. “I wonder how Floyd feels being beat by a woman for once,” Rousey said. “I’d like for him to pretend to not know who I am now.” When asked about the comment, Mayweather, as per usual, dismissed the controversy, instead making it about purse money. “I just say that, you know, I’ve yet to see any MMA fighter or other boxer make over $300 million in 36 minutes. When she can do that, then call me,” Mayweather said in an interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter that aired Thursday. Mayweather went on to say: “You know awhile back, I never knew who Ronda Rousey was. So I’m pretty sure she got upset. I want to say congratulations to Ronda Rousey and the UFC, you guys have done a tremendous job. The guys outnumber the girls by one, as per the show’s format, which will leave one unlucky lady without one at the end of the night. Next week, more girls will arrive to flip the script. All of that is secondary to the teary meltdowns, which are already in full swing. Ashley, first and foremost, is crushing hard on Jared. So hard, she can’t formulate a sentence apparently! Via NY Daily News reports : Wyatt Cenac, who left the night time political show in 2012, appeared on Marc Maron’s podcast WTF, where he shared a story about the host attacking him. The conversation began when Maron asked the writer if he and Stewart got along and he simply answered, “naw.” The two didn’t see eye-to-eye after Fox News started attacking the Daily Show for Stewart’s impression of Herman Cain. The host came up with the idea to do a segment called “everything I do is racist,” and Cenac told him he thought it was a bad idea. Instead of hearing Cenac out, Stewart apparently got really defensive. “I remember he was like, ‘What are you trying to say? There’s a tone in your voice,’” he explained. “I was like, ‘There’s no tone, it bothered me.’ And I was like, ‘It sounded like Kingfish.’ Then he got upset, and he stood up, and he was just like, ‘F–k off, I’m done with you.’” The comedian stormed out of the room and although their dispute didn’t get “settled” according to Cenac he did eventually tell him he “shouldn’t have yelled.” This seems pretty mild considering how passionate ish can get in the writers room but we’re disappointed in Jon Stewart for losing his cool and not respecting Wyatt’s opinion. The oft-discussed Jill and Jessa Duggar spinoff of 19 Kids and Counting was shot down, as we know, but for a most surprising reason. Last week’s news that TLC canceled 19 Kids and Counting was not surprising, given the scandal that had left it in limbo for two months. Josh Duggar molested five underage girls a decade ago. Four of the victims were his own sisters. This story only came to light in May. From then on, the Duggars’ fall was as abrupt as it was ugly. Given the religious family’s strong views on sexuality, Josh’s actions and his family’s efforts to hide them left a bad taste with many fans. Moreover, patriarch Jim Bob – always seen as an upstanding figure, if a polarizing one – came under fire for mishandling the situation. Nevertheless, there was talk that the TV show would shift from Jim Bob’s family to his married adult daughters Jill and Jessa Duggar. Given that this was sort of happening anyway, with the Duggar daughters getting more and more screen time, spinoff chatter began. At TLC, a Jill and Jessa spinoff was indeed discussed during the “near-constant” and “intense” conversations about the show’s future. A source who has worked closely with the family says many people loved the idea, but one key figure in particular was not on board. None other than Jim Bob Duggar was not a fan of the Jill and Jessa spin-off idea, and his implicit objection effectively left it DOA. “He absolutely wanted to be back on TV and was never thrilled about the show suddenly shifting focus,” the source says of Jim Bob. The shocking revelation comes amid talk that Jim Bob Duggar is planning the show’s return already via a multi-pronged PR offensive. Guess he wasn’t ready to cede the spotlight to his offspring? Perhaps sensing the unlikelihood of an imminent spinoff, Jill and husband Derick took their newborn baby son to Central America. “And with that, one half of any potential new show was gone,” the source adds, noting that it officially died with their mission trip. As for the pregnant Jessa, she “is clearly [one of the stars] in the family: beautiful, smart, strong-willed,” says the insider. However: “She may be slightly more free-spirited than your average Duggar, but she is firmly, centrally a part of the family , as is her husband.” Even though their series has been canceled and there are no confirmed spin-offs on the horizon, the Duggars aren’t going away. We suppose now would be a good time to apologize for that spoiler in the headline, but come on – you knew he would be back from the moment his Night’s Watch brothers gave him the Julius Caesar treatment. We know George R.R. Martin and showrunners David Benioff and David Weiss have developed a reputation for offing major characters like it ain’t no thang, but the writers spent way too much time establishing Jon’s importance to the resolution of the show’s central conflicts to just leave him dead in the, um…snow.
