13 Moments From Last Night’s ‘Empire’ Finale That Were Absolutely Insane Everyone was tuned in and talking about last night’s Empire finale and we were right there with them. We loved it just like we love the show. There are just a few moments that we just can’t process. They were so over the top that we are all trying to work our brains around them. With that said, here are 13 moments we can’t seem to make sense of.
Acclaimed actress and singer Liza Minnelli has been admitted to a rehab facility to treat substance abuse problems, according to multiple media reports. The star, 69, has already checked into the facility , the name of which is not being disclosed, confirms Scott Gorenstein, a spokesperson for Minnelli. “Considering she’s doing so well, we expect that she’ll be released shortly,” Gorenstein says of the celebrity, who has battled substance abuse over the years. She has sought treatment in the past, as well. In 1984, Minnelli was treated for alcohol and prescription drug addiction after the death of mother Judy Garland, who overdosed on sleeping pills in 1969. Said a lifelong friend of Liza’s at the time: “She’s living her mother’s career all over again, being the biggest star in show business, peaking out in films, the weird marriages, the pills, the booze.” In 2002, court documents revealed that alcohol reportedly played a role in her divorce from her fourth and most famous marriage, to, producer David Gest. Also a Grammy, Tony and Emmy winner, Minnelli is probably best known for the 1972 musical Cabaret which won her an Academy Award for Best Actress. Lowell was it. Somewhat surprisingly. Pharrell again crafted a terrific Battle Round performance, but one that assured he would cut loose a great talent. Luckily for the supremely strong Kimberly, she was stolen by Christina, who may have just landed one of the favorites to win this thing, by accident. Last night, Season 10 Episode 1 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians brought in some of the show’s highest ratings ever. To celebrate, every member of the family is doing what he or she does best: Kanye is tweeting nude photos of Kim ; Kendall is trying to maintain a shred of dignity; and Scott is getting loaded and acting like an idiot. No, this isn’t the story about Scott getting sued for showing up drunk to a paid appearance. That was last week. This week, Scott showed up relatively sober for a gig in Atlantic City, then proceeded to get so hammered he lost his shoes. Here’s some footage from the evening to give you an idea of how turnt up Scott was early in the night. He starts screaming about his genitals around the 1:50 mark. Scott Disick: Drunk in the Club Things went downhill from there, and TMZ is reporting that Scott was found stumbling around the lobby of the Harrah’s Resort at 8 am Sunday morning. Sources say Disick was barefoot and babbling and had to be escorted back to his room by security. Later that same day, hotel staff had to hunt Scott down again, after he missed his checkout time by six hours, and they were unable to wake him by phone. He proceeded to miss his flight out of town, but somehow managed to make it to Chicago for another appearance (and more partying) on Sunday night. NYPD Edits Wikipedia History Of Black Police Brutality Victims via Daily Mail Members of the New York Police Department have been caught editing the Wikipedia pages of police brutality victims. Computers being used inside police headquarters at 1 Police Plaza changed the entries of Sean Bell, an unarmed man shot dead in 2006; Amadou Diallo, who was shot dead when police mistook his wallet for a gun in 1999; and Eric Garner, the Staten Island man killed last July in a police chokehold. An individual also changed the entry for the British alternative Chumbawamba, swapping out three of the band’s members with members of the police department. The Garner entry seems to have been edited the most, with numerous changes made on the page. ‘Garner raised both his arms in the air’ was edited to say ‘Garner flailed his arms about as he spoke’ and ‘Use of the chokehold has been prohibited’ became ‘Use of the chokehold is legal, but has been prohibited.’ A sentence was also added to say that Garner was bigger than the officers on the scene. As for Bell, who was shot dead on November 25, 2006 by undercover officers at his bachelor party the night before his wedding despite being unarmed, his entry was not only edited but there was also an attempt to have it removed completely. On the Articles for deletion page, someone from the department wrote, ‘He [Bell] was in the news for about two months, and now no one except Al Sharpton cares anymore. The police shoot people every day, and times with a lot more than 50 bullets. This incident is more news than notable.’ The entry was not removed.
