Some Heroes Are Real. Thanks to a tip from Bleeding Cool, we found this rather awesome animated tribute to Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive, starring Ryan Gosling as the Driver. It was created by Bruno et Tom on Vimeo, aka Tom Haugomat & Bruno Mangyoku, and is a quick 60-sec recap of some of the best moments. It’s just badass. I was waiting for this happen, when I first saw Drive in Cannes I knew it would… Broadcasting platform : Vimeo Source : FirstShowing.net Discovery Date : 30/11/2011 23:51 Number of articles : 2

Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant

‘Kourtney & Kim Tale New York’ star confirms to Us Weekly she’s expecting second child with Scott Disick. By Jocelyn Vena Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Photo: Getty Images Kourtney Kardashian is expecting baby number two. The reality star confirms that she’s pregnant in the new issue of Us Weekly. This will be the second child for Kardashian and her longtime boyfriend Scott Disick. “Now, I’m nine weeks along,” she told the magazine, going on to explain that she took a pregnancy test five weeks ago and woke up her beau to share the results. “You’re supposed to wait 12 weeks to tell people, but I feel confident.” Earlier this year, rumors surfaced that the couple were engaged but it was never confirmed. Kourtney’s baby news may be surprising to viewers of E!s “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” which premiered on Sunday night. The first episode of season two followed Kourtney and Scott as they worked to find the spark they once had in their relationship, before 23-month-old son Mason was born . It was also revealed on the episode that the couple of five years sleeps in separate bedrooms. Kourtney and Scott surprised fans of the Kardashian family when they announced their first pregnancy in 2009. In fact, the couple were a bit surprised by it as well. This time, however, they were more prepared. “It wasn’t like we weren’t trying,” Disick said. “We kind of just said, ‘If it’s meant to be, it’ll be. ‘” Kourtney’s pregnancy news comes just after sister Kim’s revealing quotes in the new issue of Glamour hit the Web. In the January cover story, the soon-to-be-ex of Kris Humphries admitted she has been reconsidering having a family of her own and may just have to focus on being an aunt. “I don’t know,” Kim said. “I always wanted what mom and dad had. And at first I was like, ‘I want six kids.’ Then I went down to four, then I was down to three … and now I’m like, ‘Maybe I won’t have any. Maybe I’ll just be a good aunt.’ ” She added, “That’s how I feel. Maybe my fairy tale has a different ending than I dreamed it would. But that’s OK.” Share your well-wishes with Kourtney and Scott in the comments section.

Grammy Nominations Concert Will Get ‘The Message’

Host LL Cool J, Common and Lupe Fiasco will join Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five onstage Wednesday to perform hip-hop classic. By Matt Elias LL Cool J at the rehearsal for the Grammy Nominations Concert Photo: MTV News LOS ANGELES — The fourth annual Grammy nominations concert Wednesday night (November 30) will include a special performance nearly three decades in the making. Rappers LL Cool J, Common and Lupe Fiasco will join Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five members Melle Mel and Scorpio for the group’s classic “The Message” during “The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night.” The generations-spanning ensemble hit rehearsals hard Tuesday afternoon at the Nokia Theatre, using every minute available to practice. That meant squeezing in extra rehearsal time in a lower-level lobby before they even jumped onstage. While Rick Ross had previously been announced as a performer, he was not present at Tuesday’s rehearsals. Ross’ absence was hardly felt however, as the cast of all-stars had plenty of energy to fill the massive theatre. “Rehearsals [are] a lot fun,” said LL Cool J , who’s pulling double duty, also acting as the show’s host. “Been rehearsing with Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel, Scorpio, Common and Lupe Fiasco working on this ‘Message’ thing, and it’s an honor.” Lupe Fiasco seemed to have no qualms with doing another tribute performance (you know, after that VH1 Hip Hop Honors situation a few years ago), which can most likely be attributed to the confidence-boosting of the group’s maestro, Grandmaster Flash. “You’ll see, my position is to make sure that everything’s moving, everything’s flowing,” Flash said. “Make sure rappers are entertaining all sides of the room — center, left, right. Everybody got their lines: We have new rappers that are doing the lyrics to the song, to make sure that they’re quite comfortable with it. I had a deep conversation with Common , and I had a deep conversation with Lupe, like, ‘Are you guys comfortable? Do you really, really feel comfortable?’ It’s the way that I used to do it when it was Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five as a group.” Lupe Fiasco joked, “Grandmaster Flash is like a drill sergeant. He’s like, ‘Let’s do it again, do it again, let’s do it again, do it again.’ He’s like, ‘You got it? No? Let’s do it again. Hold up — let’s do it again, let’s do it again.’ So, that was cool.” For LL, who remembers first hearing “The Message” on a boombox in his neighborhood as a youngster, taking part in the performance is like reliving his childhood. “I liken it to a kid who’s in a rock band in the garage and now he’s onstage with [Mick] Jagger,” he said. “That’s what this is like for hip-hop.” While LL and his counterparts were ecstatic to be part of this special performance, Melle Mel and Scorpio, founding members of the Furious Five, were equally excited to be sharing the stage with their successors. “They took a song that even ultimately wasn’t their song, but they’re so passionate about it,” Scorpio said. “They wanted to keep practicing and practicing, and just to see that blew my mind because that’s our natural format — Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five — practice, practice, practice. But for them to keep doing it to wanna get it right, it’s an honor.” Catch the special performance — along with Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Usher, Ludacris, Sugarland and more — at 10 p.m. ET/PT Wednesday night (November 30) on CBS. Rick Ross, Common To Perform With The Furious Five On Grammy Nominations Special

Rick Ross, Common, Lupe Fiasco and LL Cool J will perform ‘The Message’ with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five during live Grammy nom special on November 30 on CBS. By Rob Markman Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five Photo: Ebet Roberts/ Redferns Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five were onto something when they recorded one of rap’s earliest hits, The Message” in 1982. Not only would hip-hop rock the party for years to come, but the then-budding genre would grow to become the CNN of the streets — detailing the ills of the inner city ghetto. On November 30 Common, Lupe Fiasco, Rick Ross and LL Cool J will join Furious Five members Melle Mel and Scorpio for a special performance of “The Message” during “The Grammy Nominations Concert,” airing live on CBS. The one-hour show, will reveal the nominations for the 54th annual Grammy Awards which will take place on February 12, 2012 in Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. LL Cool J will host the awards and Lady Gaga, Ludacris, Rihanna, Sugarland and USher have already been announced as performers while Nicki Minaj and Katy Perry will be on deck as award presenters. For the fourth time the nominations will be announced during primetime and “The Grammy Nominations Concert” will not only feature the cross-generational rap performance, but will also boast performances from past Grammy winners and nominees. On November 21 it was announced that “The Message” would be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame , 30 years after it was recorded. On the track rappers Melle Mel and Ed “Duke Bootee” Fletcher rhymed about junkies in the alley, pimps, prostitutes and the rampant unemployment of the 1980s. The groundbreaking lyrics were summed up perfectly on the track’s hook, “It’s like a jungle sometimes it makes me wonder how I keep from goin’ under.” “The Message” has since been a staple not only in hip-hop, sampled by Ice Cube in 1993 on a remix to his “Check Yo Self” single and again on Diddy’s “Can’t Nobody Hold Me Down” in 1997. The Grammy Nominations Concert Live– Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night will air on November 30 on CBS at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

Big Brother Recap: Floaters Beware!

Last week’s eviction of Lawon and return of Brendon could’ve spelled certain defeat for Daniele and Kalia unless the former somehow came through to win HoH. Amazingly, with a boost from Jorff and Brenchel’s inability to count, she did. But what she did in her second reign as Head of Household came as a surprise. THG recaps Sunday’s Big Brother installment below … Minus 8 for having to relive this moment again at the start. Minus 5 more for Shelly’s blatant celebration of Brendon’s return, which – spoiler alert – she may come to regret depending on how this week progresses. “Why?!? Why, America?!?!” Kalia whines about the voting that sent Brendon back into the house. Um, probably to see this exact reaction on TV? Plus 4 . For the second time this year, Dani knows that if she doesn’t win HoH, she’s toast. But then Brendon, Rachel, Jeff and Jordan all go down hard! Plus 7 . Plus 2 for Jeff’s overly enthusiastic narration, in general. When Porsche’s home state came up, she cannot BELIEVE it is represented by olives (in a martini glass to symbolize nightlife, her career field ). Instead, she suggests … alligators. GREAT idea for a counting game. Plus 6 . Plus 3 more because whenever we see her listed as VIP Cocktail Waitress, we can’t help but think of Tiger Woods. She’s even from Florida, too! Daniele triumphs with a consistent set of ballpark guesses. If nothing else, the girl backs up her tough talk and will never say die. Props. Plus 9 . Shelly’s machinations finally caught up with her. About time. Minus 12 , because you can’t play all sides for so long AND act so indignant after it backfires. At least be somewhat self-aware and own your mistakes. Plus 6 for Jordan’s “job interview” with her, though. Porsche’s an airhead, but she’s not totally inept, making her more of an idiot savant than, say, Lawon, who was purely an idiot. He asked to be evicted! Plus 2 . While Brenchel’s word must be taken with a boulder of salt, they made a nice pitch to Daniele. First, they sabotaged Shelly nicely. Second, they admitted that they, too, are targets. No one would see this alliance coming … Plus 9 . Adam to Daniele: “If I win HoH next week …” Sorry, we stopped paying attention, since we focus only on plausible scenarios here. Plus 3 for trying though. “I will never let her take my class away from me.” – Shelly. No words can do it justice, but Minus 17 for the amazingly clueless, absurd nature of this quote, on top of the nonsense about not being “cool enough” to hang with Dani. At least Adam (like Dominic) realizes he sucks. Plus 5 . Daniele surprisingly puts up Shelly and Adam. Wash . Seems like she’s overthinking it, rather than going with her gut and gunning for Brenchel. Then again, the back door strategy is in play, and Shelly is the worst kind of floater – a dangerous one. EPISODE TOTAL: +14. SEASON TOTAL: +4. Did Dani make the right call with her nominations?

Big Brother Recap: The Infinite Wisdom of Lawon

After Sunday’s nominations of Rachel and Jeff , Kalia put herself in a tight spot. Yes, she stuck to her guns, but long term, she’d become a big target. What we didn’t count on was Lawon being thrown in the mix. By his own doing, it turned out. We’d been waiting for this lovable crazy man to make a move for weeks, but no one could have seen this coming. THG recaps last night’s Big Brother installment below … Rachel has an epic pity party after the nominations, and without Brendon there to talk her down, it just gets worse and worse. Plus 9 , because as painful as she is, it’s entertaining when a human lowers the behavioral bar this much. Okay, it’s getting annoying. Please vote her off this week. Minus 5 . Shelly tries to calm her down, telling her not to chase after Daniele or cry so openly because “you have more class than that.” LOLOLOLOL. Plus 16 . Jeff just goes off about how he wants people to step up, pick a side and go to war. Minus 7 , because last week he was Mister Non-Confrontational. Jeff also ignores that he has people (he thinks) lining up to follow himself and Jordan. Yet Kalia joining Daniele is incomprehensible to him? Minus 6 . The veto battle is modeled after Sisyphus, who pushed a rock up a hill only to have it roll back every time. Fitting, considering the potential return of half of Brenchel after tonight. You just can’t push them out! Plus 3 . Symbolism aside, it’s a boring competition, however. Minus 5 . Only Jeff and Adam have a real shot. Jeff triumphs! Plus 8 . Jeff gets props for boasting that he’d win the veto, then doing so. That’s gotta be so demoralizing for Kalia. But Minus 7 for being kind of a sore winner about it, and because this now forces Kalia to use her brain again. Instead of putting up Jordan, guaranteeing Rachel’s exit and that no more than half of the evil duo would be in the house after tonight’s twist, Kalia tries to think of a way to fix things with Jorff, which is never happening. Minus 14 . Kalia is seriously dumb enough to trust that Rachel, Jeff and Jordan won’t gun for her if she makes this right. Enter … Lawon! This ought to be good! Plus 5 . Lawon volunteers himself not just as a pawn, but TO BE EVICTED, as he feels whoever goes will return with some special power. And he’s serious! Minus 21 . Daniele and Kalia see this as a change to make a deal with The Others. Daniele’s not stupid, though. We can only imagine what she really thinks. Plus 6 . Another Minus 4 for Kalia’s inability to handle the pressure of HoH. Shelly keeps playing both sides like it’s her job. Ruthless! Minus 9 . Jeff calls Kalia’s nomination stupid. Had she put up Jordan, of course, Jeff would’ve also termed that stupid. Minus 4 , because she’s doing what he wanted! Lawon declares in the diary room that wants to act like he’s gone crazy. Act?! Plus 19 , because whether he’s an incredible strategist, an idiot savant or the biggest idiot in Big Brother history no one can call him uninteresting. EPISODE TOTAL: -16. SEASON TOTAL: EVEN. Was Lawon’s move the dumbest of all time?

Bruno Mars Tweets Excitement About VMA Nominations

With four nominations, Mars gives props to his choreographers, congratulates his competitors and urges ‘hooligans’ to vote. By Gil Kaufman Bruno Mars Photo: Getty Images Wednesday was a good day for Bruno Mars . The singer/songwriter, who has been on an epic roll over the past 12 months, got some seriously great news when it was revealed that he scored four nominations for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards . The man behind Cee Lo Green’s epic hit “Forget You,” not to mention hits by Travie McCoy and his own smashes such as “Just the Way You Are” and “The Lazy Song,” was beside himself when the news hit, tweeting a series of responses to his first-ever VMA noms . “VMAs!!!!” he wrote just as the announcements were going out, followed by “4 Nominations!?!?!?! THANK YOU @MTV.” He also gave some serious props to the “America’s Best Dance Crew” troupe Poreotics, who appeared disguised as monkeys in his “Lazy Song” video, which was nominated in the Best Choreography category. “YO @POREOTICS – LAZY SONG NOMINATED FOR BEST CHOREOGRAPHY!! #VMAs #MoNKeySwAG!!” he wrote. He had plenty of reason to celebrate, since the moody, piano-dragging video for “Grenade” is up for Video of the Year, competing against top nominee Katy Perry (“Firework”), Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Tyler the Creator (“Yonkers”) and the Beastie Boys (“Make Some Noise”). He gave shout-outs to the competition in that battle, saying, “@mtvnews @f—tyler @katyperry @beastieboys Damn!! All great videos!! Congrats to you guys. #SeriousCompetition.” “Grenade” is also in contention in the Best Male Video category, where it will face off against Green’s “Forget You,” Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love the Way You Lie,” Kanye West’s “All of the Lights,” and Justin Bieber’s “U Smile.” Mars’ fourth nomination is in the Best Pop Video race, where he faces Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Britney Spears (“Till the World Ends”), Perry (“Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” and Pitbull (“Give Me Everything”). At the end of the day, Mars just found it all hard to believe. “But seriously?? Who drags a piano across town in some church shoes??? The Brunz does!!! HOOLIGANS VOTE!!!” he encouraged his fans.
