People really aint isht… American Teacher In China Popped For Sexually Abusing Students A sicko scumbag teacher in China is making a bad name for American teachers overseas after he was recently arrested for allegedly forcing sex on multiple students of both genders. via Fox News An American teacher at a top French school in Shanghai has reportedly been detained by authorities on suspicions of sexually assaulting at least seven students. The alleged abuse by a male teacher at the Lycee Francais de Shanghai came to light after families filed formal accusations against him, claiming he forced sex on and sexually abused children of both genders, the AFP reports. The teacher was arrested last month, and Chinese police have launched an investigation. “As parents we are devastated,” one mother told AFP, declining to reveal her identity for privacy concerns. A notice sent to parents referred to “sexual assaults,” but the school has not provided additional details. The U.S. Consulate in Shanghai has declined comment. North Carolina Lawmakers Vote To Repeal Racial Justice Act The majority Republican North Carolina House lawmakers have voted to do a way with the remaining parts of the Racial Justice Act, which provides death row inmates to contest their death sentences if they can prove that racial discrimination played a part in the sentencing. via WRAL House lawmakers have given tentative removal to repeal the remaining sections of the North Carolina’s Racial Justice Act, the 2009 law that allows death row inmates to seek to have their sentences commuted to life without parole if they can prove that racial bias played a role in their death sentence. Republican leaders repealed large portions of the law in 2012. Senate Bill 306 would repeal what’s left of the law, leaving in limbo scores of cases pending review under it. Rep. Skip Stam, R-Wake, said the RJA had become a de facto moratorium on the death penalty. “No one wants actual racial discrimination. What we don’t want also is for race to be used for a pretext – a pretext in order to stop the death penalty,” he said in Tuesday’s floor debate. “We don’t need this Racial Justice Act,” said Rep. Sarah Stevens, R-Surry. “It has created nothing but a delay in the system, a tremendous amount of cost.” While the motives of the right-wing goons are always questionable at best, this IS kind of a tricky issue. Damn, that’s cold turning your son in over Pop-Tarts. Son Arrested For Stealing Mom’s Pop-Tarts According to WBTW A North Carolina mother had her son arrested for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts. According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report, the mother called authorities and reported her Pop-tarts were stolen by her juvenile son. Officers arrested the son and charged him with misdemeanor larceny on Monday night. A reporter for WCNC-TV in Charlotte waited more than two hours for the mother, Latasha Renee Love, age 37, to come home Wednesday evening. But she parked her car a block away and went into her house on Goldstaff Lane through the back. The TV station reported that she came out briefly to use an obscenity and then slam the door. Charlotte police valued the missing Pop-Tarts at $5, according to a police report. Love, who police say had discipline issues with her child in the past, decided to have him arrested this time. Sometimes people just snap. Man Sets Neighbor’s Yard On Fire According to Fox Atlanta Authorities say a man who allegedly set a neighbor’s yard on fire in Cartersville on Wednesday has turned himself in to authorities in North Carolina. Cartersville police say 58-year-old Phillip Roger Bennett is a suspect in an arson that occurred on Boatner Avenue in Cartersville. Police said that Bennett had been involved in an apparent feud with Marty Corbitt, who lives across the street from Bennett. Corbitt said that he’s lived at the home about four years and had gotten along with Bennett until last week. Corbitt said that Bennett starting complaining about the length of his grass. “My grass is too tall for him. I was going to cut it today when he set it on fire,” Corbitt said. Corbitt said that he was watching cartoons with his 3-year-old daughter, Kylie, when Bennett came over with two gas cans and a lighter. “And then he grabs the gas can, starts pouring it into the kitchen. As he’s pouring, he takes his lighter and lights it. Flames were everywhere,” Corbitt said. As flames erupted around him, Corbitt grabbed his daughter and got out of the burning home that belonged to his grandmother. Corbitt said he lost everything in the fire. His daughter was most worried about losing her tricycle, but within hours, some neighbors went out and bought her a new one. Police called Bennett armed and dangerous, and said he has an extensive criminal history, including serving time for aggravated assault and voluntary manslaughter. The 58-year-old turned himself in to U.S. Marshals on Thursday morning in Murphy, North Carolina. The Marshals were able to make contact with Bennett by phone, and they talked him into surrendering, according to Cartersville police. Bennett was taken to the county jail in Murphy, N.C., and will be transported back to Cartersville as soon as possible. Bennett faces charges of arson and aggravated assault. Couple Ties Child To Baby Gate According to Examiner Police in North Carolina are accusing two parents of intentionally inflicting pain and abusing their 4-year-old daughter. In a heartrending story of ill-treatment and neglect of a helpless child, authorities in Raleigh, N.C. have arrested 26-year-old Gerald Thomas Swinehart, and 28-year-old Marianne Victoria Coffey, and have accused the couple of using plastic zip ties to bind their 4-year-old daughter’s wrists and ankles to a baby gate, according to Raleigh authorities. The zip ties these so-called parents thought appropriate for a child are the plastic ties used by electricians to bundle wires. Police use them as well at times in lieu of handcuffs. Investigators also said Swinehart pushed or kicked the child so hard that her lower teeth broke through her lower lip. Arrest warrants obtained by The Associated Press indicate these incidents occurred in February and March, but the documents did not say if the parents had made this an ongoing practice of abuse or if it happened one time. In either case, cruelty to this degree of a child is a nauseating thought, and reflects the ills of some slapdash parents. Swinehart is charged with two counts of intentional child abuse and inflicting serious physical injury. Coffey is charged with one count. The father is being held under $100,000 bond. The child’s mother faces one count and is being held under $50,000 bond. Their child, whose name was not released, was taken into the custody of social services on March 31. Wow. They punched the kid so hard her teeth came loose? Sick people often take out their frustrations on their children because they did not want children in the first place. They need help.
