CC Sabathia Checks Into Rehab, Will Miss Postseason

New York Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia announced today that he is checking into a rehab facility to be treated for alcohol addiction. The decision comes at an odd time, as the Yankees are preparing to face off against the Houston Astros in a Wild Card playoff game tomorrow.  Sabathia was expected to be in the team’s postseason rotation. “Today I am checking myself into an alcohol rehabilitation center to receive the professional care and assistance needed to treat my disease,” said Sabathia in a statement released by the Yankees. “I love baseball and I love my teammates like brothers, and I am also fully aware that I am leaving at a time when we should all be coming together for one last push toward the World Series. “It hurts me deeply to do this now, but I owe it to myself and to my family to get myself right. I want to take control of my disease, and I want to be a better man, father and player. “I am looking forward to being out on the field with my team next season playing the game that brings me so much happiness.” Sabathia was inconsistent and struggled with injuries throughout the season, but he was at the top of his game in recent weeks.  Sadly, it’s not uncommon for athletes to struggle with addiction . Seeking treatment at such a crucial point in the season, however, is highly unusual.

Kim Kardashian has made it very clear over about a two-year window now: She loves being a mother. And, for anyone who viewed the  Kim Kardashian sex tape , the reality star also made it very clear back in the day: she loves what one must to in order to become a mother.  But Kardashian made it clear today, via her official website: She hates the nine months or so in between procreating and actually meeting her brand new loved one. “I’m gonna keep it real: For me, pregnancy is the worst experience of my life!,” Kardashian says in a new video post, adding: “LOL! I don’t enjoy one moment of it and I don’t understand people who enjoy it. “Maybe it’s the swelling, the backaches or just the complete mind[expletive] of how your body expands and nothing fits. I just always feel like I’m not in my own skin.” We’d share the actual video here of Kardashian saying these words… but, unlike millions of people around the world , we’re not about to pay $2.99 for access to Kim’s site. Well, this is downright adorable. On the same day Kim Kardashian sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and talked to the host about Kanye West running for President, the comedian spent time backstage with someone especially close to her guest… … daughter North West! In one of the cutest Instagram photos ever shared by Kardashian, little North is playing My Little Pony with DeGeneres, who is very focused on the precious task at hand. “Who saw @TheEllenShow today? Well this is right before I went on…Northie & Ellen brushing My Little Pony’s hair lol,” the reality star captioned the photograph. Kim and Kanye, of course, are expecting their second child in December. We know it will be a boy and perhaps we also now know what he will be named. Maybe. “I do like the name Easton, Easton West,” the mommy-to-be said. “I don’t think my husband likes that name, but I do like it.” Why not, Kanye? Just go with it at this point. Get as crazy as you can get. The famous couple’s next child is actually due on Christmas Day . Ready to go back in time with Kim Kardashian? Viewers will have a chance to watch Keeping Up with the Kardashians online once again next week when this E! reality hit returns with four brand new episodes. Kim Kardashian to Khloe: I’m Pregnant! And it will start things off with a bang.. by having Kim tell Khloe Kardashian about that time she banged Kanye West. Without protection. In order to procreate. In other words: she’s pregnant with baby number-two! “It has been extremely hard to get pregnant. We’ve done little operations on my uterus. I was so close to giving up and that’s what it happened,” Kim explains at first in this clip. Prior to telling the world (via a Keeping Up with the Kardashians promo, of course) that North West will soon have a sibling, Kim was very open about the difficult she had with conceiving. “I don’t take it for granted,” she says here. “The fact that this is a miracle that’s happened and I’m just so blessed to be pregnant again. As for Khloe? “I’m just happy that my sister’s pregnant. I’m excited. I want there to be more kids,” she responds, joking: “I really thrived when you were fat and pregnant and they compared you to a whale. That was the first time I was ever the thin one.”

Kim K Finally Explains Why She Won’t Smile For Flicks Through her relationship with mega rapper Kanye West, Kim K has undoubtedly adopted the ever famous ‘Yeezy smile’ aka ‘the stale face’.  Finally, in an intimate interview with C Magazine and Amanda de Cadent, the mommy-to-be opened up about her new gut full of Yeezy and how her first pregnancy brought on her ‘no smiling’ policy.  She explained that harsh body-shaming during complication in her pregnancy with North changed the way she wanted to be seen. She told journalist Amanda de Cadent, “…I was dedicated, but also, it changed the way I viewed wanting my picture taken. Before I was always smiling, and so into being out and about. After I had the baby, I was like, these are the same people that made fun of me, and posted the stories that were so awful, calling me fat for something I couldn’t control. I don’t want to smile for them.” What do you guys think?  The same people she doesn’t want to smile for are the same people who’ve made her who she is today?  Does this smell like a bunch of bologna or nah?

Kanye West Demands Higher Pay For North West To Appear On ‘KUWTK’ Kanye West famously opposed having North hop into the spotlight and become a cast member of her mom’s side’s bread and butter, ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’ But it seems that a few years in the Kardashian conclave has softened ‘Ye’s stance on letting the public see his baby girl on the reality show — as long as she’s getting the fattest check of them all for her time. Via HollywoodLife : Show North West, 2, the money! Kanye West, 38, is used to getting just about everything he wants. But this is one tall order. The “Good Life” rapper told Kim Kardashian, 34, that he’s willing to let Nori be a regular on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, but she has to make more than the majority of the cast, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Kanye has no qualms about North being exploited on the family’s E! reality show. He just wants her to be more than compensated for her time. “He wants North to be famous,” a source close to the rapper explains to HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. He absolutely wants her to have that life, and she will have it — if the price is right! He’s already informed Kim that if North’s going to be a regular on the show, then she needs to be paid more than all of Kim’s sisters and Kris!
