The Cookie Momster: NC Mother Charged With Stealing $1600 Worth Of Girl Scout Cookies From Daughter’s Troop

John Moore/Getty Images North Carolina Mom Ordered $1600 Worth Of Cookies From Daughter’s Troop And Failed To Pay In another “epitome of a trash mom” moment, 31-year-old Noel Hines was arrested for theft in North College Hill, NC this week after allegedly accepting a large order ($1600!) for Girl Scout cookies to sell for her daughter’s troop last March but failing to pay up to the Girl Scouts of Western Ohio… According to Daily Mail reports: Girl Scout officials and police say they attempted to contact Hines over a period of six months to procure the $1600 owed, but were not successful — SO, when Hines was arrested last week on unrelated charges, she was also charged with theft at the North College Hill Mayor’s court. Hines has been arraigned and is scheduled to appear in court on November 28. The Girl Scouts of Western Ohio said situations regarding theft in their troop are ‘infrequent’ and ‘unfortunate.’ ‘When we have evidence that an adult misuses troop funds, we pursue vigorously and, when appropriate, contact law enforcement to recover as much money for the troop as possible. This is not something we take lightly,’ the company said in a statement. Peep the Facebook post that the North College Hill Police Department put up regarding Hines: The Girl Scouts Of America cookie manual prices the cookies at $4 per box, which would mean Hines made off with about 400 boxes of cookies. SMH!

Preciousness: North West And Daddy Yeezy Seen On The Sneaker Scene In SF (EXCLUSIVE Photos)

Photo by Alex Gonzalez Kanye & North West Stop By Stashed Sneaker Store How cute! Kanye and North enjoyed some daddy-daughter time in Northern California this week. The family was spotted at Stashed sneaker store in San Francisco. Yeezy stopped by to chop it up with Stashed owner and old pal Steve Stoute. Witnesses say North was super impressed by the flagship store, so much so, she tried on a few pairs of sneakers herself. North pulled some brand new women’s Air Force Ones to try on, even though they did not come on her size. Yeezy couldn’t resist letting her try on the too-big sneakers and snapping a photo. Too cute! Photo by Alex Gonzalez North, 5, played games on her papa’s phone while he chopped it up with Stoute. Photo by Alex Gonzalez Northy Poo and her papas visit to San Fran happened on Thursday, a day before their California home was seemingly in crisis due to wildfires spreading across Malibu and Calabasas. Yesterday, Kim Kardashian posted up an update to folks on twitter saying, “Just landed back home and had 1 hour to pack up & evacuate our home. I pray everyone is safe.”  So far their Hidden Hills residence is safe from the fires. Too cute!

Jeremy Vuolo Accused of Cultural Appropriation by His Own Fans

As much as we enjoy photos of Jinger Duggar’s family , this latest photo was weird … and controversial. Jeremy Vuolo shared a strange image of him with baby Felicity and a Native American tipi. Followers are accusing him of cultural appropriation. Jeremy Vuolo shared a curious picture on Instagram. In the snap, he is holding baby Felicity while being obscured by what looks like fog. Before them is a miniature tipi (also spelled teepee). “Time for reflection,” Jeremy captioned the post, as if that explained anything. It’s unclear if he is referring to the presence of a mirror in the photo. He may have instead meant, on a more serious note, that he’s reflecting upon Native American culture. Some fans were confused. “What is this supposed to mean?” one commenter asks. Others are worried that he’s misusing another culture’s symbols and traditions. “If there is a deeper meaning behind this post please do share,” another commenter implores. “If not,” they continue. “Please know that taking elements of another culture (especially one that has been as mistreated as Native Americans).” That commenter concludes: “and using them flippantly for your own artistic design is completely inappropriate.” Followers continued to try to figure out what Jeremy’s post was all about. “I googled it, guys,” one commenter shares. “And some places are saying November is Native American month.” “Perhaps as ‘Thanksgiving’ comes it’s a moment to reflect on the atrocities inflicted on the first nations people,” another suggested. That would be very seasonally appropriate, folks. But others were concerned. “It’s fairly regularly accepted that cultural appropriation is insensitive,” writes another. “Benefitting from someone else’s culture,” another writes, is “not OK.” Some jumped to some very different conclusions about Jeremy’s post. “Why teepee?” one asked bluntly. “Are you racist too?” Another jumped to a conclusion on the opposite end of the spectrum. “Are you Native American?” one asked. “Hard to understand the meaning of the pic,” another noted. “I am Apache though, so if you are that’s great.” The Apache nation is not known for tipis. Tipis are sometimes mistakenly attributed to all Native Americans, but were and are in fact unique to people of the Plains region of North America. (Tipis are still used for some ceremonies, if no longer used for dwellings) Native American cultures in other regions used different types of dwellings, including elaborate structures. It’s understandable that people would be on their guard about Native American cultural heritage being misused by white people. But one follower commented that this is not what is happening. “Ya’ll, he is in Oklahoma at a Native American history museum,” the commenter writes. “Chill!!!!” Tipis are often the subject of misunderstanding. While tipis are conceptually similar to the European lavvu, they are part of a few Native American cultures and are not for anyone else to misuse. The Native American cultural heritage more likely to be misused are things like war bonnets and terms like “spirit animal.” But it doesn’t look like Jeremy Vuolo is doing any of that. We’re happy to call out cultural appropriation or other wrongdoings when we see it. But that’s not what was happening here. With context, we see that he was practicising cultural appreciation in a museum. Let’s save our outrage for the people and actions that deserve it. FILA Signs Grant Hill To Lifetime Endorsement Deal

Source: photo: WENN Years after hanging up his jersey Grant Hill proves to be in a class by himself.  His former sneaker company has brought him back for a new partnership. According to a report by  Nice Kicks the former NBA all-star has resigned with FILA for a lifetime deal. The Italian brand released a formal press release confirming the announcement. “FILA is proud to have been a part of Grant’s history, partnering with him when he was drafted into the league,” stated Jon Epstein, President at FILA North America. “Grant was a tough yet graceful competitor. He possesses a strong work ethic and has demonstrated resilience and perseverance. Grant truly embodies the spirit of FILA, a brand that is synonymous with game-changers in sport and beyond. We look forward to Grant being an integral part of our move forward strategy in basketball.” Under the new deal Hill will revive their sneaker line with retro releases of his signature models. While FILA never had a strong presence in performance basketball Grant’s shoes, specifically the GH2’s, were received very well on the court and on the streets in the 1990’s. The former Detroit Piston detailed reuniting with the company. “Fila was there for my first professional steps on the court,” Hill said. “We have now come full circle, and I am thrilled to be a part of the family once again.” To celebrate the relaunch Hill will appear at the FILA booth at ComplexCon in November. So Sad: A Fistfight Between Two Students At A North Carolina High School Ends With A Fatal Shooting

Getty Images High School Fight Ends With One Student Shooting Another In Hallway One fistfight between two North Carolina high school students took a terrible turn on Monday after one of them pulled out a handgun and fired at his classmate in a crowded hallway before the start of classes, according to authorities. The alleged shooter was identified as a male student at David W. Butler High School in Matthews–a suburb southeast of Charlotte–and was quickly taken into custody, police said. “There are no other threats or dangers to any of the students or staff, or anyone in the area of the school,” Captain Stason Tyrrell of the Matthews Police Department told reporters near the school. “I can just tell you that the shooter was taken into custody by Matthews Police Department, and his family is aware as well,” he assured students and the community. Following the horrific incident, the school briefly went into a lockdown as the wounded student (who was also not identified by police) was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. The student died there a few hours later. Surveillance video shows the two students getting into a fight before the shooting happened, according to Tyrrell. “From what I’ve seen and the information I’ve received, our school resource officer was very nearby when it took place, and the situation became under control very quickly,” he added. Clayton Wilcox, Charlotte Mecklenburg School Superintendent, said that the school did not have a policy of searching every bag that enters the school prior to this incident, but added that all security procedures would be reviewed following the shooting. “I don’t know how a young person gets a handgun in the state of North Carolina,” Wilcox said to reporters. “But we are going to look into all those things, and we will do our best to make sure that this never happens again.”

Black College Football Week 9: Classic Debut

Few if any of the 65,906 fans who made their way into Legion Field in Birmingham, Ala., Saturday afternoon knew who knew who Nathaniel Dell was before the 77 th Magic City Classic  kicked off. But by the time the game ended, the freshman wide receiver from Daytona Beach, Fla., was all anyone could talk about. Dell lit up Alabama State for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns on just six catches to lead Alabama A&M to a 27-13 victory over arch SWAC rival Alabama State. Dell, who has been hampered by injuries most of the season, entered the contest with six catches for 95 yards in three games. “Like my teammates say, I’m always open,’’ Dell said following his breakout performance. “To have a game like this, on a stage likes this, that’s what it’s all about,” Dell said. “These are the kind of games you sign up for.’’ Dell staked Alabama A&M (4-3, 3-2 SWAC) to a 7-0 lead when he got behind the Alabama State secondary for a 56-yard touchdown reception. He scored again in the third quarter when he caught a short pass from Aqeel Glass and sprinted 81 yards to the end zone to give the Bulldogs a 20-10 lead. “Our guy is a playmaker,’’ Glass said. “Get the ball in his hands, and more times than not, he’s going have a chance to break a big play.’’ Glass completed 17 of 30 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns as Alabama A&M gained 463 total yards. Alabama State squandered a pair of early scoring opportunities. The Hornets drove to Alabama A&M’s six yard line on their opening possession after holding the Bulldogs to three-and-out. However, a third-and-goal pass into the end zone was incomplete and Hunter Hanson missed a 24-yard field goal attempt. Later in the first period, the Hornets drove to Alabama A&M’s 10, On third down quarterback KHA’Darris Davis kept the ball to the one yard line, where he fumbled while trying to reach the ball into the end zone. The Bulldogs recovered. Alabama A&M  never trailed in the contest as first-year coach Connell Maynor came away a winner in his Magic City Classic debut. “Since the day I got here, the one thing I’ve heard more than anything else is just how important the Classic is,’’ Maynor said. “This game is a big deal, so to see our players celebrate this victory tonight is huge. I’m proud for our team.’’ KEY RESULTS Central State 40, Tuskegee 36 – The Marauders defeated the Golden Tigers for the first time since 1948 and ended the defending SIAC champions’ 15-game conference road winning streak. Tuskegee (5-4, 3-2 SIAC) squandered a 14-point third-quarter lead and trailed 33-28 entering the fourth quarter after quarterback Trent Mays hit Kevin Greenhow with a 32-yard touchdown pass with 1:07 left in the third quarter. Tuskegee regained the lead, 36-33, on quarterback Ahmad Deramas ’ 13-yard touchdown pass to Javarrius Cheatham at the 8:59 mark and Justice Owens’ two-point conversion.  The lead was short-lived, however. It took Central State (4-5, 2-3 SIAC) just two plays to score what proved to be the winning points as Mays connected with running back Terraris Saffold on a 68-yard touchdown pass. Mays finished with the game with a career-best 376 passing yards and three touchdowns. Deramus had a career high 300 passing yards and three touchdowns for Tuskegee. The Golden Tigers entered the contest ranked No. 6 in Division II in total defense, having allowed 241 yards a game. The Marauders shredded the Golden Tigers for 435 yards. A lbany State 21, Benedict 0 – The Golden Rams clinched the SIAC East championship with a road victory while extending their winning streak to six consecutive games. Albany State (6-3, 5-0 SIAC) will play the winner of this weekend’s Tuskegee-Miles game in the SIAC Championship Game on Nov. 10. Albany State, No. 10 in the NCAA Division II Super Region Two, held its opponent without a touchdown for the second straight game. The Golden Rams held Benedict (5-3, 3-2 SIAC) to 169 total yards. Albany State grabbed a 14-0 first quarter lead on a Kalias Williams’ 26-yard touchdown pass to Eric Crawford and a 13-yard run by Williams; Williams’ second touchdown pass of the game in the second quarter put the game out of reach. Alcorn State 27, Prairie View A&M 13 – The Braves were Homecoming spoilers once again as the SWAC East leaders knocked of the Panthers and sent their alums home disappointed. It was the third Homecoming win for Alcorn State (7-2, 5-1 SWAC). The Braves also defeated Alabama A&M and Southern on their Homecoming. Alcorn’s defense did a number of Prairie View (3-5, 2-2 SWAC). The Braves limited the Panthers to 235 yards total offense – including only 61 on the ground; they also sacked quarterback Jalen Morton five times, intercepted him twice and held the Panthers without a touchdown. Prairie View’s only touchdown came on Bernard Good’s 81-yard kickoff return that gave the Panthers a 10-7 lead in the first quarter. Alcorn overpowered Prairie View with its running game. Running back De’Shawn Waller gained 120 yards on 20 carries as the Braves piled up 249 yards on the ground. Quarterback Noah Johnson added 81 on 12 carries. Grambling 45, Arkansas-Pine Bluff 38, OT – The G-Men stayed alive in the SWAC West championship race with a home overtime win. The lead changed hands 10 times before Marc Orozco kicked a 20-yard field goal for Grambling (4-4, 2-2 SWAC) with 46 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime. Geremy Hickbottom connected with Darrell Clark on a 25-yard touchdown on the first play in overtime to give Grambling its final lead. Arkansas-Pine Bluff’s bid to send the game into a second overtime period failed when Skyler Perry’s apparent seven-yard pass to Kolby McNeal was overturned by the replay officials. The Golden Lions (1-7, 0-4 SWAC) had kept the drive alive thanks to a pass interference penalty against Grambling. Taeylor Porter was the offensive star of the game. Porter rushed for 238 yards and three touchdowns on 26 carries. Grambling escaped with the win despite allowing 478 total yards and being penalized 11 times for 200 yards. Fayetteville State 45, Livingstone 7 – The Broncos clinched the CIAA South Division title with a Homecoming victory. Fayetteville State (6-1, 5-0 CIAA) rolled up 410 yards total offense. Kush Klux Klan? Nutty Rhode Island Attorney General Candidate Compares “Marijuana” To “Ni**er” [Video]

Image via MIKE THEILER/AFP/Getty Images Rhode Island AG Candidate Compares “Marijuana” To The N-Word We’ve heard white people compare all types of words to the n-word, but this is a new one. According to TMZ , Rhode Island Attorney General candidate Alan Gordon sent North Kingstown High School into a frenzy when he angrily railed against the use of the word “marijuana” and likened it to using the workd “ni**er”. Gordon is a part of something called the Compassion Party and is BIG on the legalization of mari-…that loud pack. He and his political opponent Peter Neronha appeared at the high school to field questions from the youth. Gordon’s only condition for appearing was that the word “marijuana” would not be used because he believes it is rooted in racism. When Neronha used the word twice when talking about Gordon’s recent arrest for possession of 48 pounds of the sticky-icky, the hippy-ish bureaucrat lost his s#!t completely… Gordon’s blunted business partner Anne Armstong is running for governor and also believes that “marijuana” is a vile word that is highly offensive. Ooook…

Kim Kardashian: Slammed For Posing Nude With Daughter on Instagram

These days, tt’s not exactly news when Kim Kardashian poses nude on social media. Of course, that’s got nothing to do with any sort of deterioration in Kim’s appearance. In fact, as far as we can tell, the 38-year-old mother of three is aging like Benjamin Button. But Kim’s been a household name for well over a decade now, and the internet has the attention span of a gnat who missed its morning Adderall dose. So it should come as no surprise that Kim’s curves don’t possess as much clout as they used to. Although as she proved today, Mrs. Kardashian-West can still break the internet and stir up some controversy when she wants to. That’s a pic that appeared on Kim’s Instagram page this afternoon. “My heavenly baby! Showing off the new pink shadows in the Flashing Lights Collection wearing Flashy and High Key available at KKWbeauty.com,” Kim captioned the photo. Sadly, it wasn’t long before the most insidious form of species of troll — the North American mom-shamer — descended on the pic’s comments section. “The baby’s shoulder is touching Kim’s breast!!” commented one follower, presumably while clutching her pearls. “That’s so creepy..she looks like a pedo,” wrote another fan. And since this is the internet in 2018, some folks were just flat-out cruel for no reason, with one follower writing, “ulgy [sic] baby like de father.” Stay classy, Instagram commenters. Interestingly, Kim was mom-shamed for two different pics today. She also posted this photo of 5-year-old North wearing eyeliner from her cosmetics line. Predictably, some idiots trashed Kim for putting makeup on a first grader, others for “using” her daughter to sell makeup. “So now babies are selling eyeshadow too, I don’t know it’s just a lil much for me,” wrote one such dipsh-t. “Not long before plastic surgery.” Yes, because clearly, that child is miserable and over-worked. You’ve flouted our nation’s labor laws for long enough, Kardashians! This has been your daily reminder that social media is a curse from the very darkest depths of hell. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we have tweeting to do. View Slideshow: Kim Kardashian Goes Nude, Gets Candid About Sex
